Nightmare Moon has returned to Equestria on the Summer Sun Celebration, and there was nopony to stop her. Now, in a world where the night lasts forever, it is up to two ex-students of Princess Celestia to fix it all.

Amber has turned eighteen, meaning her life in the orphanage is now over, it's time for her to move on. But she can't being herself to leave, because even as she packed her bag and shipped out her belongings, she realized that there was something that she forgot to bring with her. The two ponies who have been the only family she has ever had, Hot Head, and Lucky.

Sunset Shimmer, once overbearing and rude, is living proof that people can change. When she finds out that the Dazzlings are being expelled from Canterlot High for their crimes, she will make an attempt to understand their past and salvage their future.

Even if she can help only one of them, she believes it's worth it.

Octavia and Vinyl have been dating for months, but neither has had a chance to introduce their significant other to their families. Vinyl always dodges the issue, but when Octavia is insistent, they have a fight. This leaves Vinyl with no other option than to have Octavia over to meet her parents.
