This story is a sequel to Fashion Crush

(Humanized) Vincenza Scratch, AkA Vinyl for her friends, AKA DJ-PON3 on stage, 22 years old. The DJ found herself in one of the low periods of her young career, probably the lowest and longest she ever experienced so far; writer's block, out of ideas for a new genre of music as her 'classic' electronica seems to go out of the crowd fashion, less and less attendance to her gigs, etc.

Starting to run low on money, She gets in touch with one of her mother's friend in the capital, Vito Philharmonica; Member of the board of one of the most prestigious private high school. Vito offers her a place to stay and a job to help her to get back on track : A music teacher job for a Highschool senior class, which includes Vito's own daughter, Octavia.

How's Vinyl going to teach to a bunch of teenagers when she's barely older than them? ( and probably not much more mature as well). And when other teachers and some of her students look down at her for being a 'simple' DJ? One answer, Becoming the GTVS: THE GREAT TEACHER VINYL SCRATCH! (Yes inspired by GTO, one of the coolest manga ever)

Faced with the blank sheet syndrom, Rarity begins to run in circles and falls in a state of panic and neglect. Just as Rarity's moral hits bottom Patty, a good old friend, gives her the only good advise she can : have fun ! Forget about work for a night and start from scratch again !
And what better place to have fun than Vinyl's gig... But who's that stuning blonde on the dance floor?

After long years of playing for royal festivities in Canterlot, Octavia's musical skills start to plummet. Years have passed since Octavia Philharmonica and Vinyl Scratch first met on the platforms of Canterlot Station. In the short time that they spent together, they became the best of friends. Then they separated, both of them returning to their homes, meeting one another with less and less frequency as time went on. Within a few years, they had only memories of each other, impressions of the fillies that they used to be.

And then they met again, in the hallways of the Canterlot Conservatory.

Octavia and Vinyl couldn't be more different. Sure, they both like jazz(-ish), but that's about all they have in common. After one really bad first impression, can these two stand to be around each other long enough to recognize that they're not that different? And that they're both looking for the same thing?

Not if they have anything to say about it. Goodbye, security deposits.

After the events of 'Magic Duel' Fluttershy can now once more visit Zecora and restock on medicinal herbs that she had run out of. But something comes up on the way there inside the forest. A mare she thought long gone, now in front of her helpless and wounded. Fluttershy not being able to stand the sight brings the pony back to her cottage and nurses her back to health, learning some very special things about the mare.

Octavia and Harmonia Philharmonica were on their way to Manehattan, ready to fulfill their duty as granddaughters and visit Nana. Vinyl Scratch and her brother Long Play were traveling back home from a concert in Canterlot, the first that Vinyl had ever attended. Pure serendipity facilitated these pairs' first meeting.

Hearing such things makes her feel worried that their marriage is in jeopardy of breaking up.
