On what begins as a normal day, Twilight Sparkle receives a letter of a romantic and (very) grammatically incorrect nature. With the help of her friends and a newly-discovered book, Twilight sets out to expose the author of this crime and teach them a lesson in proper grammar. And maybe, just maybe, she'll learn a thing or two about romance along the way.

Princess Celestia is dead, and her sister, stricken with grief, has been missing since the end of the war. Little Shine is a young earth pony living in the crafts village of Manewood. He has a nurturing mother, a caring father, and a loving brother. Physically weak, but supported by his family, he passes through life. But one day, nature is not so kind. A cataclysm ravages Manewood, leaving Little Shine with no family to speak of.

Princess Twilight Sparkle is responsible for the relief effort to Manewood, and upon finding Little Shine, she brings him back to Ponyville.

Little Shine must now build a new life for himself, and confront his true weaknesses along the way.

Octavia has spent years burying her past – after all, if a secret like hers gets out how will anyone ever look at her the same way again? It would simply tarnish her reputation! However, when Starburst moves into Ponyville things take a turn for the worst… This newcomer knows Octavia’s secret and is about to bring the Earth Pony’s world crashing down around her. And it was all because of a contract Octavia thought she burned years ago.

Twilight Sparkle is changing; she's not sure how, or why. All she does
know is that she has to reverse the change before she hurts somepony she
cares about. But she won't be alone, Spike will be by her side until the
end.

Rainbow Dash finally takes notice of Scootaloo and brings her up under her own wing. With Rainbow Dash's new support, Scootaloo learns to be more than she had ever dreamed. But will the relationship she has just gained turn out to be more than they can handle? She quickly learns that not everyone's true self can be perceived.

Big Macintosh is a stallion of few words, but that doesn't mean he's slow or uneducated. Unknown to any outside the Apple family, he's a wiz at math and finds himself smitten with the one pony who could share his love for numbers, and who just so happens to be the personal student of Princess Celestia; Twilight Sparkle. With a "gentle" nudge from his persistent sister, Big Mac manages a date with the purple unicorn, but a relationship might turn out to be more work than either one bargained for.
