The war has been over for ten years. The Equestrienne, administered from the planet that gave ponykind its birth, spans hundreds of worlds over thousands of light-years. But peace has come at a cost. Princess Celestia is dead, and her sister, stricken with grief, has been missing since the end of the war. Twilight Sparkle, Equestria's mother of technological innovation, has been forced to take the reins of a nation deep in mourning.

Now the past returns to haunt the present. Can Princess Twilight Sparkle ever hope to fill the gaping hole her mentor left behind?

Back in my day it you wanted something done that required dexterity you had to get a unicorns help.

Hmm. What dire consequences could moving a whole planet bring: not to mention its ruler gone inexplicably missing.

Intrigued, unique setting. Looking forward to reading more.

Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying it so far. The next chapter, Apastron, is about fifty percent done and will be posted soon.

This does look very interesting :twilightsheepish:

This is definitely interesting stuff, even if I'm not sure I understand everything that's going on in the story. :twilightsheepish:
A minor nitpick: earlier in the story, you typed "erie" when you meant "eyrie".

Thank you very much!

I'm glad Twilight's Library approves!

Twilight just killed thousands at the top of the space elevator to save two friends? :twilightoops: I'd say she's due for a civilian uprising pretty soon. :unsuresweetie:

I've enjoyed this a lot. Looking forward to seeing more of it.

So, bounced my way through this! Hope this poor thing is not dead, tis interesting.

It's not dead, just sleeping while I figure out the finer points of the plot. It was the first thing I ever wrote and it has its problems!

Fox

3674134 To save two otherwise-immortal figures who were probably vital contributors to society and government, plus whatever crew they had. The space elevator was unintentional, versus knowingly kersploding the ship with all of its passengers.. As well as the damage that would be caused by the sturdier bits of debris that wouldn't be stopped.

Not to mention that moving the planet isn't exactly inspiring dissent. Would YOU question such a being's motivations?

Anyway, "Victoryful At Something".. Dash's tribute to the long-dead CMC? Also, in 47 minutes at an acceleration of 6g, assuming that Equestrian gravity is equivalent to Earth and not even counting Equestria's contribution to their velocity or their starting velocity, they'd be moving at over 167km/s. Ouch.

Nah, not dead. Just sleeping, and under heavy construction. Termination Shock is coming soon.

5413832

Long dead? Methinks perhaps not -- who knows what strange loops have been preserved in the pony data networks and lacuna?

About ten more months later. Good night, sweet princess?

This is... certainly interesting.

What with suddenly being a millennium after the events of the show and a decade after a war against some vaguely defined enemy, it feels like the sequel to a story I missed- but it's easy enough to pick up on the context, and it's actually kind of refreshing to skip the interstellar war and delve into the aftermath. Also refreshing to see that the Manes still seem to be more or less friends, Pinkie's extended party trek notwithstanding... though we haven't heard from Applejack or Spike yet....

Eh. However long this stays on hiatus, at least what's been written is an interesting scenario to look at.
