The Treacherous Trio—Tirek, Chrysalis, and Cozy Glow—find themselves in a land that is both similar to Equestria yet vastly different…the Boiling Isles. Stranded in a new world, they must find a way to recover their magic and head back to Equestria; but as they encounter the inhabitants thereof, they may yet discover some intriguing potential they can utilize for themselves.

Meanwhile, Jacob Hopkins is seeking to acquire their magic for his own cause against the isles.

When Twilight was young, she used to sit on the balcony and look down at the statues in the royal garden. At the strange creatures of fur and armour and feathers and horns, and just...wonder on them.
And out of all of them, out of the unique draconequus and the rare Cyclops and the terrifying Invention Monkey, one particular statue always caught her eye.
Four...blocky, for lack of a better word, knights. Frozen in perfect formation, their heads hidden deep within the confines of their helmets. Each one stuck in the same pose, for as long as she'd known them.
And beneath them, engraved into the stone they were a part of, was a simple message.
"Wake us when something fun happens or Celestia stops being a bitch, whichever comes first."

This story is a sequel to Return of the Core

Seven years have past since The Core successfully took full control of Equestria—with Twilight Sparkle as its new host. Spike and Discord must seek help and discover a way through which they can save their home and defeat the alien threat. It is only a matter of time until all hope is truly lost. But they have yet to discover a newfound hope to save them all…an amphibious one.

After experiencing a humiliating defeat at the hands of Anne Boonchuy, a fragment of the Core enters through a portal that leads to Equestria. After discovering that the land is filled with the Magic of Friendship and has a new ruler, the Core plots to undermine it with a plan that neither Twilight nor her friends will be aware of.

Note: This happens after the events of Amphibia’s series finale “The Hardest Thing” and during the events of MLP: FIM’s “The Last Problem”.

Sunset and her friends have had their fair share of thrilling adventures, both magical or otherwise. After the Battle of the Bands, things have been going good for the Rainbooms. Sunset Shimmer herself has finally gained the acceptance of her classmates. But she feels like she is missing something in her life.

Their peace, however, becomes short-lived. During a basketball game with Dimmsdale High, they witness some buck-toothed boy utilizing powerful magic.

Fearing the boy has gotten his hands on some dangerous Equestrian artifact, one of the Rainbooms steps up to babysit the boy and keep on an eye on him until Princess Twilight can come up with a solution.

However, the kid's secrets go much deeper then that. And, to their misfortune, the Rainbooms aren't the only ones interested in the power he holds...

Timmy Turner has the struggles not typical of 10 year old boy. On top of dealing with bullies, evil babysitters, and evil teachers, he must also keep his fairy godparents a secret.

When Vicky goes away for three weeks, Timmy sees this as a time he can relax. Much to his consternation, however, his parents hire a temporary babysitter. While she and her friends seem nice enough, Timmy will learn there is more to them then meets the eye.

And as other forces close in on his fairies, the Dimmsdale Elementary School student must decide who is friend and who is foe.

Victini accidentally ends up in the magical world of Equestria after a small bout between Dialga and Palkia began causing temporal disturbances throughout the world. Now, stuck in a new world, he attempts to get used to his new surroundings. Unfortunately, after using his powers to help a certain pink pony win a bake off, it appears that Victini has become the center of attention for both the forces of good and evil.

Now it's become a race to see who can convince Victini to join them so that they can never lose again. But all Victini really wants is to play with Pinkie and enjoy some macarons without constantly being pestered by everyone else.

Hopefully no one ends up being badly burned by the end of this tale.
