Fortunately, she will find the support needed in the form of a peculiar being. A narrative from Sunset's point of view.

BEFORE READING:

- In this universe, the incident in which Spike gained the ability to talk never occurred. Therefore, he doesn’t speak here. He is, however, more intelligent than an average pet. Basically, the Spike we all know, minus the talking.

- The paragraphs written in all italics are flashbacks, and all of them happened during the duration of the Friendship Games. They occur in inverse chronological order.

- Please go easy on me, I’m not an excellent writer and that I haven’t done this in a while, but I wanted to share this story in written form, because a comic would’ve taken too long.

Gallus didn't know what it was like to have a home, supportive friends or even a family. Not until coming to Twilight's school did he even consider that having friends could be such a fantastic thing. His friends were now his family; that much was certain.
However, years of living on your own and crying until nothing is left leaves a heart wanting. The last thing he expected was to have frozen tears thawed by one of his closest friends.

But as she continues to persevere through the harrowing school days, she starts to see that not everything is perhaps as dark as she once made it out to be. Even if her own friends don't believe her, that doesn't mean there aren't others that do.
