Flash sentry was a Pegasus royal guard with a lot going for him. He was working his way up the ranks as a prominent soldier, and was the rising star amongst his peers. After a mistake in battle causes Flash to question his abilities as a soldier, Captain Shining Armour reassigns him to castle guard duty in Canterlot.
During the captain’s royal wedding, Flash catches a glimpse of a purple unicorn mare. Months later, fate steps in and he meets her properly for the first time. When they start dating, it seems he had finally made a right decision… until Flash finds out who her older brother is.

After joining forces and spending nearly all of their fortune buying equipment for an expedition, three misfits change their plans and turn the expedition into an adventure, hoping to get back at least some money from it.

This frankenstein monster went through many, many rewrites before I ultimately decided that it'll never be what I wanted it to be.

There are self-inserts, things that don't make any sense (not in an intentional way) and for some reason, conventional firearms.

The story was supposed to be about a band of misfits getting together and unintetionally given a quest to find four pocket dimensions with worlds that shouldn't exist, taking one artifact from each and ultimately destroying all of them. Now, the problem was that all four were magical and incurred various penalties upon the user. Think of Frodo from Lord of the Rings carrying not one, but four rings.

So yeah, that was the plan.

If anyone wants to do something with that idea, feel free to do so, but PM if you want more details. I'll gladly help you.

While normally far from the type to play video games, especially violent ones, Rarity finds herself convinced to join the girls in playing Black Sunset, one of the most popular games in the country. It's not long, however, until the game has her thinking about what's going on with her life. Namely, Spike. While the years had both washed over them, blossoming her into a mature, college educated woman and Spike into a fine lad himself on his junior year in high-school, his obvious interest in her has yet to fade. Rather, it's grown stronger.

A part of her yearns for the simpler times, back when he was a child with a childish crush.

But another faint, diminutive part of her is curious. Wanting. Wanting to sit back and listen to him. Listen to him express himself to her.
