    Author update!

I'm editing stuff! But also incredibly dried out of writing power atm. I'll get going again soon, but just bear with me for a bit. I'm publishing a chapter of XCOM today, then start on the daily writing (not publishing) again tomorrow morning. In the meantime, always remember:

    Remembering Koji Wada

Like every year, I like to remember the man/legend responsible for the theme songs of one of my favorite shows of all time on the anniversary of his death.

So if you were wondering about the timing for the latest Isekai chapters? There you go.

    Welp, here's a life update

These last couple of weeks have been a bit of a rollercoaster. Good things have happened, and also bad ones. No wonder I could relate to both Furina and Navia in the latest Isekai chapter. Sometimes pretending things are fine is really exhausting, even if they do get better.

    Welp, another year older and...

...still writing ponies. (Among other things, granted.)

Update to the Isekai coming tonight! And some additional details and change of plans.

First, to everyone waiting patiently for the next Isekai chapter, I apologize for the delay. I know there are a lot of people that want to see another visit to Hell happen soon, and it will, I promise. However, due to some circumstances, I decided for a different pair of visitors to visit the bar this week.

Bronycon Panel: Worlds Beyond: Crossovers in Fanfiction · 6:32am Jun 9th, 2016

While the time for the panel hasn't been announced yet, I'd like to invite you all (especially those attending) to think about what you'd like to ask, and maybe see if you have any questions for specific panelists!

Bronycon records the panels, so even if you don't go, you should be able to watch the video later.

So, Worlds Beyond: Crossovers in Fanfiction is obviously the Crossovers panel, which will include:

Somber Earth!

Best known for his Fallout/MLP crossover story: "Fallout: Equestria - Project Horizons" (M) and the sequel "Fallout Equestria: Homelands" (M), Somber has been a member of our community for several years. Some of us came to know him for his amazing stories, "Simply Rarity" and "Rarity's Rodeo". He's a seasoned author who has shared a lot of stories and depth into his work and has written one of the longest MLP fics to date.

Arad Fire!

Famous for the quintessential XCOM/MLP crossover: "Stardust " and it's sequel "Mente Materia" along with several side stories, Arad dipped himself fully into XCOM and his Stardust universe. So fully in fact that it's almost impossible not to bring up something XCOM related when you talk to him... even if it's just about bitching at the new games or reminiscing playing XCOM back in the 90s (at least in my case).

Relatively unknown, but overall awesome dude. Pen Stroke is obscenely famous in our fandom for a story called "Past Sins" (link not needed because you know you have it in your favorites), but that is actually not all he wrote. Seriously, he's not a one-hit wonder. His early crossover works include "Creeping Darkness" an Alan Wake Crossover, the Portal X-over "Better Living Through Science and Ponies" and "Little Sugar Shop of Horrors" which he wrote for some reason.

GaPJaxie Water!

GapJaxie's crossover buffet includes: A Dune/MLP X-over, "Sandworms, Assault Rifles, and the Merits of Extraneous Princesess"; the short story compilation of Skyrim/MLP works, "Love Letters for a Girl I Hate"; and the Bioshock/MLP stories "Siren Song"/"Daring Do" which incredibly feature the city being as much a character as the ponies themselves.

And finally,

Wanderer D Ungh... H-heart!:pinkiesick:

If you're reading this blog, you're most likely familiar with my work, but just as a refresher, I try to write all sorts of crossovers and experiment with the formats. From relatively serious like "Gunsmoke" (check out the review by Vren55!) to comedic like "Sparkle's No. 1 Assistant" to massive multi-crossovers like "The Sweetie Chronicles: Fragments"

With our stories combined, we are your Bronycon crossover panel!

So ask away! While I can't promise we can cover everything, some questions and clarifications will most likely make it to the panel itself! (Just try to focus on relevant questions and not on "when is this happening". It's about writing crossovers, people!)

4010444 Yeah, that's what it says

I look forward to attending the panel!

4010442

I like and have read a lot of his stories. I just never read that one.

You're saying I shouldn't be that guy who asks "Will you read my fanfic?!"

Never read Past Sins. :p

Heh, Pen Stroke's on a panel this year. Should be interesting. Shame I won't be able to make it, but it looks like you've got a good lineup

If you need an extrain for the panel.... Lol jk

Can't wait to go :pinkiehappy:

4011182 Well... Bioshock happens underwater

Outstanding. Finally time to bring up my MLP x Captain Planet x TMNT Crossover

Of course I'm kidding

I tempted to attend, even though I've never read or appreciated a true crossover. :derpytongue2:

I can get behind crossover-like fics (e.g. Dr. Hooves, Hoofstuck) that involve the characters from MLP in situations from another universe, but not so much characters meeting characters. My impression has been that the latter are much more common.

4011500 There's all sorts, as you can probably tell from the list of stories. In my case and GaPJaxie's, for example, Gunsmoke doesn't have characters meeting characters from SAO and Siren Song is more of an amalgamation rather than X meets Y.
