    Author update!

    I'm editing stuff! But also incredibly dried out of writing power atm. I'll get going again soon, but just bear with me for a bit. I'm publishing a chapter of XCOM today, then start on the daily writing (not publishing) again tomorrow morning. In the meantime, always remember:

    Remembering Koji Wada

    Like every year, I like to remember the man/legend responsible for the theme songs of one of my favorite shows of all time on the anniversary of his death.

    So if you were wondering about the timing for the latest Isekai chapters? There you go.

    Welp, here's a life update

    These last couple of weeks have been a bit of a rollercoaster. Good things have happened, and also bad ones. No wonder I could relate to both Furina and Navia in the latest Isekai chapter. Sometimes pretending things are fine is really exhausting, even if they do get better.

    Welp, another year older and...

    ...still writing ponies. (Among other things, granted.)

    Update to the Isekai coming tonight! And some additional details and change of plans.

    First, to everyone waiting patiently for the next Isekai chapter, I apologize for the delay. I know there are a lot of people that want to see another visit to Hell happen soon, and it will, I promise. However, due to some circumstances, I decided for a different pair of visitors to visit the bar this week.

Welp, here's a life update · 3:00am March 28th

These last couple of weeks have been a bit of a rollercoaster. Good things have happened, and also bad ones. No wonder I could relate to both Furina and Navia in the latest Isekai chapter. Sometimes pretending things are fine is really exhausting, even if they do get better.

So, good news wise, my upwards movement in my current job is happening. Slowly. Crawling. And it feels like my workplace has a sixth sense informing it that they won't have me too long now and they should really, really... REALLY make my life difficult. But when you have to be the IT white-glove department for the US HQ for an international company and you have to deal with a dozen of entitled lawyers who do not understand nor care about due process when it comes to IT, I guess it's to be expected to feel overwhelmed.

Close enough, I guess. Hello, Navi.

Thankfully, my movement to full-Network/Servers role is peeking over the horizon now, and in fact sorta starts by next week where I'm going to be split into two roles; local support for Corporate HQ and my future full time as Network. The learning curve is intense, but I'm loving it, and I'm going to be going on trips to actually migrate entire locations.

Outside of work, the results of the Nightmare Night Cyberpunk Contest came out, and my story The Nightmare Parade got third price! I was pretty happy with it, although I had to rush a few things or I'd gone over the 20k word limit by a lot more than a hundred words.

And finally, last night I found out that my friend Alina Nicte Ha had passed away. She's not someone you'd know outside of the Mexico anime scene, but I worked alongside her and many other voice actors back in the early 2000s, and she became someone that involved herself deeply in the love of it. She organized entire events, was a liaison for guests across the world. You name it, she had a role in it.

In fact, those of you who attended my Bronycon panel where I did the semi-live telenovela skit, might remember her providing the voice of Sonata. She was truly great and I am honored to have called her friend, but this hardly came as a surprise. She got cancer and suffered greatly the last year, she's free of that pain now, so I will do my best to remember her at her best.

Anyway, just needed to get stuff out of my chest in general. From the bitching about work, to the contest, to my friend. I'm okay, but boy do I feel tired.

I’m sorry about your friend. Wishing you the best for the future, homie. Keep pushing, you got this.

Upwards momentum is always good, provided it's what you want. My sympathies about the friend.

My sincerest condolences. Here's hoping the venting helped a little.

I'm sorry about your friend :( that's quite sad

I’m sorry for the loss of your friend, D. It’s difficult to lose someone you’ve been close with. I wish you much luck and success in your new role at work. It sounds very interesting!

I hope you’ll still be coming to Everfree.

I’m very sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. I hope her family is doing alright, and I hope that you’ll be able to find some peace too. It’s not easy losing a friend... *hugs*

Good luck with whatever lies in your future.

*Proffers hugs* Glad to hear of the positives at least. Sorry for your loss.

I sometimes hold it half a sin
To put in words the grief I feel;
For words, like Nature, half reveal
And half conceal the Soul within.

But, for the unquiet heart and brain,
A use in measured language lies;
The sad mechanic exercise,
Like dull narcotics, numbing pain.

In words, like weeds, I'll wrap me o'er,
Like coarsest clothes against the cold;
But that large grief which these enfold
Is given in outline and no more.

--Tennyson

Ah, my condolences for your friend.

Congratulations on the contest placement, though, and good luck at work and in general!
