It is said, that the gods are petty creatures, whimsical and uncaring of mortals. It is said that nopony can stand against a god. It is said, that when darkness comes to the world a few shall arise to fight it... those chosen will have already proven their worth, for the mantle they must inherit carries the weight of many battles and indomitable will.

Will they be ready? Will Friendship—and love—be enough to succeed?

Rainbow Dash has been absent for longer and longer periods of time, but nopony knows why. Feeling her absence perhaps more than she would like to admit, Applejack decides to find out exactly why her friend seems so distracted and why she seems to be avoiding everypony.

Choosing whether or not to visit Chrysalis has been bugging Rarity for a week since receiving an invitation to do so. But there seems to be trouble brewing in the Hive and Rarity now has little time to act. Either way, her family's future rests in her hooves.

Those little nagging ideas that get in your way when writing other stuff? But you can't help yourself and write a mini story? This is exactly that. Let's call 'em vignettes and feel fancy about it. Moments in the life of ponies in stories that probably will never happen. At least not in a story written by me.
