Equine/Dragon Interbreeding

Everypony here has seen Shrek, right? Well, if you have, you know who these are:

And, if you watched the after-credits American Idol parody after Shrek 2, or the third movie, then you're aware of these guys:

So, a donkey impregnated a dragon.
Donkeys are mammals, and give live birth, and so have sexual interactions.
Dragons are lizards, reptiles, and lay eggs, so don't have sexual interactions.

Shrek takes place in a world where humans exist.
Equestria has no humans.
Shrek would therefore be more realistic than Equestria, by human standards, using canon alone.

Now, donkeys, ponies, horses, zebras are all in the Equidae family.
If donkeys can reproduce with dragons, ponies can reproduce with dragons.
So... PonyXDragon relationships are possible...
