A crossover fic featuring Digimon Adventure 02. The digidestined and their partner digimon get brought to Equestria courtesy of a spell from Twilight. Before long Tai and Twilight fall in love.
(Before I say anything else I'd better issue this warning, yes I am considering the events of "Revenge of Diaboromon" to be in continuity with the rest of the series. In my head cannon it takes place after the events of episode 50 but before the epilouge given 25 years later. Also the epliogue is a little different for me even though it won't be mentioned here because I obviously ship Takari.)
With Armaggeddemon defeated and Mimi back in Japan the digidestined believe they'll finally be able to kick back and relax without the threat of their world or the digital world hanging in the balance.
That belief is soon crushed however when Gennai calls them back into the digital world to investigate a mysterious energy reading.
The energy reading leads our heros (and their partners) to a portal that sucks them all in.
Where does this portal lead to you ask? Why the land of Equestria of course.
After crash landing and discovering they have no way of getting home the digidestined decide to make Equestria their new home at least for right now.
Not long after settling in Tai, recenlty recovering from having his heart broken finds himself falling in love with Twilight of all ponies.
Little do he or Twilight know that their new relationship is going to go through trails that no other couple has ever had to face as old evils from the digidestined's past return to haunt them.
Where are all these evil digimon coming from? And is just the digidestined's imagination or are their enemies getting stronger?
Rated teen for suggestive theming, mild cussing, and somewhat graphic fantasy violence.
The sky above Tokyo was clearing. Only moments ago the sky had been as dark as night and anyone who was looking out at Tokyo Bay would have seen two gaint monster battling it out. These so called monsters were actually beings called digimon which was short for digital monsters. But these weren't you ordinary everyday monsters you see on t.v. These monsters for the most part were friendly and had saved not only Japan itself but the entire world numerous times before.
Of course there were a few digimon who were evil, but as luck would have it not one of them had ever succeeded in accomplishing whatever they had set out to do. This was because they had been beaten by the good digimon, who had befriended a group of boys and girls known as the digidestined, or as some people called them the chosen children. The digidestined's most recent victory had been against a monsterous digimon who they had now learned was called Armageddemon. He had proven to be very tough to bring down, in fact he was so powerful that the digidestined had to unlock a new mode for Imperialdramon known as Paladin Mode in order to defeat him.
Imperialdramon in his new Paladin Mode now stood victourious as he and the digidestined took in the newly brightened skys of Tokyo.
"We did it. We actually did it! We defeated Armageddemon!" the voice belonged to Taichi Yagami Kamiya who was called Tai for short. He was 14 years old, and although he was not the oldest or the smartest of the bunch he was the leader of all the digidestined. He was often known for being a goofball, and at times his attitude had rubbed people the wrong way, but he was a kind person at heart and he hated violence as much as anyone else. And he had proven himself time and time again to be an excellent leader.
"I hope that's the last we'll see of that creep." another voice chimed in. This voice belonged to Yamato Ishida or Matt for short. He had a reputation for being something of a lone wolf at times but this had been changing ever since he became part of the digidestined. He and Tai had soon realized that they had a lot in common, and thus their parnter digimon had become the first two to unlock a process known as DNA digivoling which only worked when two digidestined's hearts beat as one.
"Who cares? If he dares to rear his ugly head again we'll be ready for him!" this cocky voice belonged to Daisuke Motomiya. He was known as the junior leader, due to the fact that when Tai and the older digidestined were left temporaily useless, Tai had given Davis his round goggles to replace Davis' destroyed square ones. Davis had proven to be every bit the leader Tai was despite being even more hotheaded. After all he had been the first one to trust Ken after the events of the Digimon Emperor.
"I just hope that we can finally have a chance to unwind. Don't get me wrong being a digidestined is great and all, but we could use a break from all of these battles, don't you think?" the voice in question belonged to Mimi Tachikawa who was the only member of the Japanese digidestined who did not live in Japan. She lived with her family in New York City in America. She had been the first one to discover that there were other branches of the digidestined aside from the ones in Japan. She had quickly befriended the leader of the American digidestined Michael, who happened to have a father who was a famous movie star. She always tried to find time to visit her friends in Japan though, wheter it be a digital gate or more often a flight. She had been most unhappy to learn upon arriving that there was nothing she could do. And she had impatiently waited as the battle between Imperialdramon and Armageddemon took place in Tokyo Harbor. Needless to say she had been worried.
"Well I don't see why not." Tai said "After everything we've been through in these past few months we could use a vacation."
Before any plans could be made however Koushiro Izzumi who was nicknamed Izzy by his adoptive parents spoke up. "Don't pack up your suitcases just yet guys. Gennai just contacted me on my laptop. He said to meet him in the digital world. And he said to come quickly because the situation is urgent."
"Oh come on, what now?!" a brash voice yelled out. This voice belonged to none other than Miyako 'Yolei' Inoue. The intellectual tomboy of the group. Although she wasn't as smart as Izzy, or her boyfriend Ken Ichijouji she knew quite a lot about all sorts of things. She was known most famously however for her feisty attitude, her catchphtase perfecto, and at one point her constant flirting with all sorts of boys.
"Gennai didn't say exactly." Izzy explained "He just said to meet him in the digital world. The sooner we go to see him the better."
"Well alright then" Tai said "Looks like we're heading to the digital world again. I just hope it's gotten better since our last visit."
Imperialdramon seperated back into the two digimon that had formed him. The rookie level digimon Veemon who was the partner of Davis, and Wormmon who was the partner of Ken.
"Are we all set?" Tai asked.
"Yep." the digidestined and their parnter digimon replied.
"Good." Tai said "O.k. Davis do the honors."
"Digiport open!" Davis said holding his D3 up to Izzy's laptop and pointing it at the screen. Instantly a bright blue light emerged from the screen and began pulling the digidestined and their partner digimon in. This was how the digidestined traveled from their world to the digital world or on a few ocassions to the internet.
A few seconds later the digidestined and their partner digimon emerged in a world that at first glimpse could easily be mistaken for our own world. The differences between the real world and the digital world were only easily recognizable to the digidestined due to the fact that they had been here many times before.
This time however was different because the digidestined could see that the digital world, even now, still looked a little darker than usual. This was because a few months ago an evil digimon known as MaloMyotismon had crossed into the digital world, and with the power of dark spores planted in various children he had become almost invicible, and slowly started corrupting the land with darkness, in an attempt to rule it and the real world. The digidestined had ultimately defeated him by encouraging the darkspore children to never give up and to follow their dreams. This had weakened MaloMyotismon enough to allow Imperialdramon Fighter Mode to obilterate him. Seemingly for good.
The digital world was still recovering from this attack and the recovery processs had been slow, even with the spirit of Oikawa protecting it.
"Wow, talk about your fixer-uper." Ken said "This place still isn't looking so good. I guess MaloMyotismon did more damage then we thought."
"I'll say. This place sure has seen better days." this voice belonged to Takeru Takaishi or T.K. for short, the younger brother of Matt Ishida, who held a personal hatred for the powers of darkness. This stemed from his early days as a digidestined when his partner Patamon had digivolved for the first time in Angemon, and had to scarifice himself in order to defeat Devimon the ruler of File Island. Angemon had ultimately been reincarnated as an egg, which had hatched and had gradually become Patamon again, but all the same T.K. blamed himself for not being able to do anything, and the powers of darkness for taking his partner away from him. Those who knew him well enough, including his best friend Hakari Yagami Kamiya or Kari for short, often knew better than to casually talk about the powers of darkness when he was around. Least T.K. suddenly lash out at them.
"It's too bad we weren't aware of this. We could have done more to help." this voice belonged to the oldest digidestined of them all Joe Kido, who had recently been studying to become a doctor. He had been know to be something of a worrywat, but this was because he always felt that as the oldest it was his responsibility to look out for everyone. Perhaps it was because of this fatherly like instinct, and his wanting to prevent suffering that explained why someone like him was so eager to become a doctor in the first place.
"We can't worry about that now." said a voice. This one belonged to the youngest digidestined of them all Cody Hida. Although considering how much sage advice he gave out you'd have a hard time beliving that. Much like T.K. he despised anything to do with the forces of darkness, but unlike T.K. he had a tendency to stay calm and cool, it wasn't often you saw him lose his temper.
"Cody's right. Gennai called us here for a reason, if the digital world realy needed our help before he would have let us know." this voice belonged to Sora Takenouchi, who as of last christmas was Matt's boyfriend. Sora was what you could call a female Joe. She always made it her goal to look out for others, which at times meant she bit off more than she could chew. Although that had been more in her younger years back when she was still new to being a digidestined.
"And here he comes now." this voice belonged to Hikari Yagami Kamiya or Kari for short. She was Tai's younger sister and T.K.'s best friend, as well as possibly more, although she wouldn't admit it. She was the most passive agressive out of all the digidestined but when push came to shove, and there were no other options she was more than capable of holding her own.
"Hello digidestined. It's good to see you again. I apologize for how things are right now, but rest assured that we are doing everything we can to make this recovery as swift as possible." Gennai said. He was something of a mentor to the digidestined, always tipping them off about potential evils. "Now then the reason I called you all here is because just recently we picked up a strange energy reading. It's unlike anything we've ever encountered before. As a matter of fact I'm not even sure if this thing is from this universe."
"Well what do you need us for, why not just send some scouts to check it out?" Davis asked.
"All our rescoures have been stretched to the max lately to help with the recovery process in case you haven't noticed." Gennai explained "As a result we have been unable to form a search team. So it is with great reluctance that I ask you all to check it out. Believe me if there was another way of doing this I wouldn't have contacted you, but we don't know what's out there and whether it poses a threat to us."
"So all you want us to do is to go investigate this unusual energy reading and then deal with it accordingly? Well that doesn't sound too hard." Tai said "Come on gang we'd better check this out. It's probably nothing but better safe than sorry."
"I'll upload the coordinates for the energy reading into your laptop Izzy." Gennai explained "Contact me when you find out what this unusual energy reading is and await further instruction. But remember this energy reading is unlike anything we've ever seen. So for the love of Azulongmon PLEASE be careful!"
"We will Gennai." Tai said. "All right let's not waste any more time. Izzy lead the way."
"With pleasure." Izzy said.
As the digidestined neared the location marked on Izzy's laptop all was silent. As they proceeded into the area the erie silence continued.
"Hm, so far I'm not picking anything up." Izzy said as they traveled through the area. It was a sparsely populated forest area and what few digimon that lived there were unaware of the energy reading, to their knowledge there was nothing out of the ordinary.
"Do you think it's possible that whatever scanners Gennai was using malfunctioned?" Tai asked.
"I doubt it." Izzy said "I'm pretty sure Gennai said that he'd just checked the system not that long ago and everything was running like clockwork."
"Well we still have a ways to go. Keep your eyes peeled for anything suspicious." Tai said as the digidestined ventured deeper and deeper into the forest.
"Um guys? I've got a bad feeling about all of this." Kari said.
"What makes you say that?" Gatomon asked.
"Well I'm not exactly sure but I think it has something to do with my crest. I think since it's The Crest of Light it has a built in radar to detect even the faintest traces of darkness. It's kind of like that battle against Willis' Kokomon. When I said could sense that someone needed our help."
"I remember that. It still gives me goosebumps just thinking about." T.K. said. "And if there's one thing I've learned by now it's that your crest is never wrong."
"Exactly and that's what worries me." Kari said "Unless my crest is actually wrong, we're dealing with some dark force the likes of which even Gennai doesn't know about. It doesn't take a genius to realize that this a recipe for disaster."
"Well we'll just to have be careful." Tai said.
Suddenly Izzy spoke up "Wait a minute, something's not right here." He looked up and saw something in the distance. "What is that?!" he exclaimed.
The rest of the digidestined and their partners turned their attention to where Izzy was looking. There was a mysterious portal like object in the distance. It was violet purple in color but it seemed relatively harmless.
"It looks like a portal." Tai said "And if there's one thing science fiction has taught me it's that all portals are two way systems. Whatever goes into one portal comes out the other."
"Yeah but where does this portal lead to?" Joe asked.
"Who knows? And more importantly who cares?" Davis said "At least we know now what the unusual energy reading was. And from the looks of things this portal doesn't look like it could do any harm."
"Well let's just see what Gennai thinks." Izzy said "Come in Gennai this is Izzy speaking. We've located the source of the energy reading. It's a portal. What should we do now?"
The only response on the other end was static "Gennai do you read me?!" Izzy asked. More static. "Gennai stop fooling around! Answer me!" even more static. "Gennai respond! Gennai?! Gennai!" nothing but static. "Damn it! The line's dead I can't get through to Gennai!" Izzy said.
"We've got bigger problems than that Izzy!" Matt said. Normally Matt was not one to interupt Izzy, or tell him that his problems were unimportant. So for him to brush Izzy off like that, even if it wasn't very casual was shocking. But what was even more shocking was his reason for doing so.
"Tell me, am I seeing things or is that portal getting bigger?!" Davis asked.
Izzy took one look at the portal and he instantly knew the answer. "It IS getting bigger" he exclaimed. "We've gotta get out of here!"
The digidestined turned to leave only to find they couldn't.
"What the hell, I'm stuck!" Davis exclaimed.
"Damn it I'm stuck too!" T.K. said.
"And me too!" Kari said.
"Well this is just great!" Matt said sarcastically. "Now what do we?"
"There's only one thing we can do!" Tai shouted over the roar of the portal. "Hang on tight and think happy thoughts!"
"Oh yeah that's excellent advice Tai!" Matt said sarcastically.
"Well I don't see you coming up with any bright ideas!" Tai yelled.
"Can it you two!" Izzy said "Like it or not we can't do anything!"
"Uh-oh! Here it comes!" Ken yelled.
"Help, we're being sucked in!" Joe shouted as he became the portal's first victim.
"Why does this keep happening to me?!" Mimi shouted as she was pulled in next.
One by the one the rest of the digidestined and their partner digimon were pulled in as well until only Tai and Agumon were left.
"Well that settles it!" Tai shouted "This can be declared a day that has turned into" the rest of his sentence was cut off as he was pulled into the portal as well. He shut his eyes.
"Please, please let this portal take us somewhere good!" he thought to himself.
As soon as Tai was pulled in the portal mysteriously shut and disappered. Leaving behind no evidence of its existence.
"Come on Twilight, you can do it." Spike said cheering Twilight on.
Twilight was working on a new transuniversal teleportation spell, the book where she had found the spell had said it was very difficult, and that only the most powerful magic casters had ever succeeded. And those who did had never managed to find anything of intrest. Twilight was convinced that there was something just waiting to be discovered ,and thus she had set to work on learning the spell.
Her friends Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash were watching her as she cast the spell into the open skies above Ponyvillie. They could see a gaint violet colored portal in the sky, a sign that the spell was working.
"What do ya think Twilight's going to discover on the other side?" Applejack asked.
"Probably some alien life forms." Rainbow Dash replied "Take me to your leader." she said doing a poor impression of alien voices she'd picked up from reading Daring Doo.
Fluttershy was a little frightened by all of this. "I just hope that whatever's on the other side is friendly." she said "I don't want something big and scary that will cause trouble."
"For once I agree with you darling." Rarity said "We've had our fair share of troubles and I for one certainly do not need any more headaches. I'm hoping that whatever lifeforms Twilight discovers wear clothes more often than we do. I could certainly use the extra business, not that I don't have enough customers as it is."
"Ooh, ooh. I can't wait to find out because then I'll get to throw two parties." Pinkie Pie spoke up in her usually energetic tone "A congratulations on pulling off a high level spell party for Twilight. And a welcome to Equestria party for the other life forms. I'm sure they'll come to love my parties because nopony beats Pinkie Pie when it comes to parties."
"Girls please settle down." Spike said "Can't you see that Twilight is trying to concentrate."
"Sorry Spike." Applejack said turning to the others "We'll keep it down right girls?"
"Right." they all replied.
"Good." Spike said "Ooh hang on I think something's happening."
Indeed it was. Twilight had been casting the spell when she suddenly felt an unusual pain, this wasn't like the type of pain one normally felt when casting a spell, nor was it the type of pain one felt when they had exhausted all their magic. No this pain was different, it felt almost as if though there was something on the other side that had wandered too close to the portal and had been pulled in.
"Could it be that I've accidentally pulled them from their world without permission?" she thought outloud "I don't remember the book ever saying that the portal could develop a mind of it's own. All I wanted was to try and make contact with other lifeforms. I wasn't going to bring them here without their permission."
Twilight looked up at the the portal she had created, the spell wasn't finished yet but she'd used enough of her magic to keep the portal open for a few minutes. She could see what looked a like forest on the other side, it was almost like the Everfree Forest yet something seemed different about it.
Just as Twilight began to cast the spell again to power up the portal she heard something, it sounded almost like screaming. "That's not suppose to happen." she said.
The screaming grew louder and louder, but when Twilight looked up again she could no longer see the forest that was on the other side of the portal, it had closed. "But that could only mean one thing." she thought "The portal on the other end must have accidentally pulled the lifeforms from that universe into it. That means they'll be coming here soon."
And she was right, the screaming grew louder and louder, and then suddenly out of the corner of her Twilight could see something. It wasn't like anything she had ever seen before, but she knew this much, it wasn't equine.
Suddenly Applejack called out "Hey Twilight, Pinkie's tail's a twitchin!" Twilight turned to look at Pinkie Pie and she saw that Applejack was right Pinkie Pie's tail was twitching nonstop. Twilight had learned by now that this was part of Pinkie Pie's so called 'Pinkie Sense'. Different signs meant differnet things, and a twitchy tail meant that something was going to fall.
Looking up at the portal she could see the non equine life forms were about to fall out of the portal. If she didn't react fast chances are they would not survive the fall. Twilight wasted no time in focusing all her magic onto the non equines as they tumbled out of the portal, using her magic she managed to slow their descent enough to the point where they would survive. She didn't have enough magic to stop them completely due to having used most of her magic to cast the transuniversal spell but she did have enough magic to give them a soft landing. Of course she knew that regardless of the soft landing these non equines would pass out when their fall had stopped.
One by the one the non equines crash landed onto the make shift landing pad that Twilight had set up. Sure enough they all fell unconscious. Twilight wasted no time. "Spike!" she called out "Send a letter to Princess Celestia informing her of the situation!"
"I'm on it!" Spike said already writing away as fast as his claws would let him.
Turning to her friends Twilight said "Help me carry them into my house! We can't leave them out in the open for ponies to find! We don't know if they're friendly yet and we can't afford to send the whole town into panic mode!"
And so Twilight and her friends took turns going back and forth to the landing site until they had moved all of the non equine life forms into Twilight's house.
"Let's hope they're friendly." Twilight thought as she closed the door behind her.
Tai slowly began to open his eyes. He still felt very groggy. That fall even though it had been soft had taken a lot out of him.
"Hey, he's waking up." called a voice.
"Where is that voice coming from?" Tai thought to himself. He couldn't see anyone right now, he couldn't even see his partner Agumon although he knew for sure that Agumon had been pulled into the portal as well.
"Rise and shine sleepy head." another voice called out "You feeling okay?"
"Yeah, I think I will be." Tai said.
"Well that's good. I was starting to get a little worried." the voice replied as the creature it belonged to came into view.
Tai blinked, he rubbed his eyes, the figure was still there. He wasn't dreaming all right. This creature was unlike anything he had ever seen before. It was a horse, and not just any old horse, but a talking horse. The horse had a purple coat, a dark purple mane and tail boarding on blue with a violet pink skunk like stripe running down the middle. It's eyes were purple and it appeared to be female although Tai couldn't tell for sure. But the most unusual thing about it was that nestled in the horse's mane was a horn. It was the same color as the horse's coat.
Now although Tai had seen many unusual things during his time as a digidestined this was something that even to him was completly weird. So naturally he did what anyone would do in his situation, panic!
"Aaah!" he screamed "Get back you monster! Don't come any closer! I'm warning you! I have a fire breathing t-rex and I'm not afraid to use him!"
"Oh relax silly." the horse replied in a definite female tone "I'm not going to hurt you."
"Oh, you're not? But then why do you have a frickin horn sticking out of your head?" Tai said.
"That's because I'm a unicorn." the horse replied in a not amused tone.
"A unicorn, you've gotta be pulling my leg." Tai said "Everyone knows unicorns don't exist."
"Yeah well I'm here now and I'm talking to you. How do you explain that?" the horse asked.
"It's simple. This is all a dream and I'n still passed out from the fall." Tai replied.
Without warning the horse trotted up to him and smacked him with her tail "Ow!" Tai said "What did you do that for?!"
"To prove that you aren't dreaming!" the horse said "If this was a dream you wouldn't have felt that."
"I think my friend Izzy would love to prove you wrong on that." Tai said. I'm not going to believe it until someone pinches me.
"Wish granted." Agumon replied as he suddenly walked up to Tai and pinched him on the arm.
"Ow! Agumon you've gotta trim your nails!" Tai said.
"Well this proves you aren't dreaming." Agumon said.
"O.k. so I was wrong, so sue me." Tai said.
"What is that?" the horse asked.
"Oh that. This is my parnter Agumon. What's wrong haven't you ever seen a digimon before?" Tai said.
"A digimon?" the horse asked.
"Guess I better explain." Tai said "Digimon is short for digital monster. Digimon are creatures that live in the digital world and evolve through a process called digivolution. Certain digimon like my old friend Agumon here are parnters to a group of children called the digidestined and it is their job to protect the real world and the digital world from harm. As I'm sure you can tell from that previous statement I am one of the digidestined and Agumon is my partner."
"Oh that explains it." the horse said "I take it that the real world statment indicates that you're from another universe."
"I guess so." Tai said "Speaking of which where I am, and who are you?"
"You're in the land of Equestria, which is inhabited by ponies. My name is Twilight Sparkle."
"Well nice to meet you Miss. Sparkle." Tai said. He always believed it was best to address strangers as Mr. or Miss.
"Please just call me Twilight." Twilight said blushing a little. "Now then who are you?"
"My name is Taichi Yagami Kamiya, but everyone calls me Tai." Tai said.
"Well it's nice to meet you Tai." Twilight said "And it's nice to meet you too Agumon."
"Any friend of Tai's is a friend of mine." Agumon replied. "Sa,y who's that purple dragon over there?" he said pointing towards a corner.
"Oh, that's Spike, he's my number one assistant. He's technically a baby dragon. But don't say to his face, he'd probably take it as an insult." Twiligh said. "Hey Spike, come and say hi to our new friends Tai and Agumon."
"Well it's nice to meet you Spike." Tai said "I must say you look a nice guy."
"Thank you." Spike said "And it's nice to meet you Agumon."
"Same to you Spike." Agumon replied.
"By the way Tai you said you were a digidestined right?" Twilight asked.
"Yes, why did you ask?" Tai said.
"Because you're not the only one who's told me that." Twilight said pointing towards a nearby table. And seated there were all of Tai's fellow digidestined and their parnter digimon.
"What are you all doing here?" Tai asked.
"Waiting for you to wake up. What's it look like to you?" Matt replied.
"Wow, I must have been out cold for a long time huh?" Tai asked.
"Darn right you were." Davis said "I'll admit you actually had me worried for a little while."
"Yeah that's the first time in what seems like ages I've seen Davish get worked up." Veemon said.
"Heh, yeah, well I'm awake now." Tai said "And I take it you've already met Twilight."
"Yep." the digidestined replied.
"Well that's good." Tai said "Say who are those other ponies over there, I don't believe we've met."
"Oh those are my friends." Twilight said "I'll let them introduce themselves."
"I have a feeling we'd better do the same." Tai said "You know just to show a little courtesy. After all you don't appear to be hostile."
"I'll take that as a compliment." Twilight said in a deadpanned voice.
"Sorry about that." Tai said as he joined his fellow digidestined and their partners at the table. "Alright we're all ears."
An earth pony with an orange coat and a blonde mane and tail tied up in a ponytail (no pun intended) with a brown stenson cowboy hat on top was the first to speak up. "Howdy ya'll. Name's Applejack. I live and work at Sweet Apple Acres, it's a family business. It's a pleasure to meet ya."
"You know, you remind me of those old westerns my folks back home always love to watch." Yolei said. "Although in this case I suppose you're more of a cowpony than a cowgirl. No offense."
"None taken." Applejack replied.
A bubbly pink earth pony with a mane and tail that looked like cotton candy spoke up next. "Hi. I'm Pinkie Pie, Ponyvillie's best party pony, in fact Ponyville's only party pony, I live and work at Sugarcube Corner with the Cakes. Ohh I'm so excited I can't wait to throw you all a "Welcome to Equestria/Welcome to Ponyville party. It'll be so much fun with games, and streamers, and balloons, and cakes, and pies, and punch,and cupcakes."
"Wow, how do you speak so much without ever inhaling?" Izzy asked.
"Don't bother asking." Twilight whispered "Just trust me on this one."
The next pony to speak was a pegasus pony with a cyan blue coat and a rainbow colored mane and tail. "Hey everyone! Take a good look! You're looking at the one and only Rainbow Dash! Fastest flyer in Cloudsdale and future Wonderbolt, even if right now I'm working at the weather factory. Now I know what you might be thinking, you're thinking 'Gee Rainbow Dash you're so awesome!' Well you're right, I am! gBut I'm also a kind pony at heart. If you ever want to see some awesome stunts, or if you ever need help just look up into the sky and you'll see my cloud home! It sucks that you guys probably can't walk on clouds because I'd love to show you around some time."
"You know Rainbow Dash you remind me of myself, only with wings." Davis said.
"Aw yeah, that sounds awesome!" Rainbow Dash said "I have a feeling we're going to get along just fine!"
Next was a white unicorn with a purple mane and tail with curls. "Hello darlings. My name is Rarity. Normally I'd ask that you call me Miss. Rarity, but seeing as you're already friends with Twilight I don't think that will be necessary. I live and work at Carousel Boutique. If you ever need any clothes feel free to stop by, keep in mind though that I'll need to take your measurements before I can do anything."
"Well you're certainly elegant." Mimi said "Tell me, how did you come up with that beautiful accent? I've never heard anything like it before."
"Oh, my accent?" Rarity replied "It's a little something I picked up from various customers. If I'm not mistaken they call it a trans-atlantic accent, although I'm not sure what that means."
The last pony to speak up was a butter yellow pegasus with a pink mane and tail. "Um my name is Fluttershy. I live in a cottage at the edge of the Everfree forest, which Twilight tells me is a lot like the world you come from. I take care of all sorts animals big and small. I hope we can be friends."
"Hey, it's o.k., you don't have to be afraid of us." Kari said "We won't hurt you, we promise."
"I know you won't." Fluttershy said "Because if you do you'll be sorry."
"Is it just me or did Fluttershy seem a little different for a moment?" Kari thought to herself.
"Well you probably already know who I am, I'm Twilight Sparkle but you can call me Twilight." Twilight said "I live here in the Golden Oaks Library. Feel free to check out any books you want. Just make sure you return them when you're finished. Also you've already met my assistant Spike. He might be a baby dragon, but he's like family to all of us. He's also very helpful, just don't stroke his ego too much and don't make him angry."
"Well since we've been introduced to you." Tai said "It's only natural that we return the favor. My name is Taichi Yagami Kamiya, but everyone calls me Tai. And this is my partner Agumon."
"Hello. Nice to meet you all." Agumon said.
"Name's Yamato Ishida. But please call me Matt. This is my partner Gabumon." Matt said.
"Hi." Gabumon said. He was always a little shy around others.
"I'm Sora Takenouchi, and this is my partner. Her name is Biyomon." Sora said.
"It is truely an honor to meet you all." Biyomon said.
"My name is Kushiro "Izzy" Izumi." Izzy said "This is a prodigious oppertunity, and this is my partner Tentomon."
"Oh hello." Tentomon said "I can tell you're all probably wondering what prodigious is, well it's a catchphrase that Izzy likes to say. Don't ask me why he likes it so much."
"I'm Mimi Tachikawa." Mimi said "My favorite color is pink but I like the other colors too. Green is a close second for me since that's the color of my partner Palmon."
"Oh Mimi." Palmon sighed "Don't mind her, she gets like this sometimes. She'll snap out of it before long."
"Well my name is Joe Kido." Joe said adjusting his glasses "I'm the oldest one here and this is my partner Gomamon."
"Hey there, nice to meet you all." Gomamon said "And don't mind Joe, he can be a worrywat at times but he's never let that stop him."
"I'm Cody Hida." Cody said "I may be the youngest of the group but don't think for a second that makes me weak. I could tell you all about my many talents but I perfer to let my skills speak for me. And this is my partner Armadillomon."
"Howdy." Armadillomon said "Cody's a really nice kid once you get to know him, even if he seems a little distant right now."
"Yolei Inoue's my name." Yolei said "And this is my partner Hawkmon. Yeah I know it's a little weird being the only digidestined who's digimon is of the opposite gender."
"Greetings." Hawkmon said "And Yolei is right, it is a little bit weird being a boy when your parnter is a girl, or vice versa, but we make it work."
"My name is Ken Ichijouji." Ken said "And this is my partner and good friend Wormmon."
"Hello, nice to meet you." Wormmon said "Any friend of Ken is a friend of mine."
"I'm Daisuke Motomiya, but everyone calls me Davis." Davis said "And this is my partner Veemon."
"Nice to meet you all." Veemon said "Davish is a great guy, even if he can be a little thickheaded at times."
"I am Hikari Yagami Kamiya, but please call me Kari, everyone does." Kari said "This is my partner Gatomon. Just don't make any cat puns, I've heard enough of them as it is."
"Hello." Gatomon said "I'm sure you're all wondering why I'm wearing these yellow gloves and why I have a ring around my tail. It's a long story that I don't feel like telling right now. Maybe some other time."
"My name is Takeru Takashi or T.K. for short, which is what everyone calls me." T.K. said "And this is my partner Patamon. He perfers flying instead of walking just so you know."
"Hey there." Patamon said "T.K.'s a really great guy and he's lots of fun to hang out with. As for why I like flying instead of walking, it's because I'm much faster in the air then I am on the ground."
"Well glad to see that we've all been properly introduced." Twilight said. "Oh my it's getting late." and she was right. For as the digidestined looked out the window they could see that the sun had almost set completly.
"That reminds me, where are we gonna sleep?" Tai asked "There's certainly not enough room in this library for all of us."
"You're right." Twilight said "I only have one guest bed and a bed in the basement.
"You never told us you had a basement." Tai said.
"That's because I usually only go down there to collect equipment to conduct science experiments." Twilight explained.
"Well even so that's only enough room for two of us and our partner digimon." Tai said "And like Rainbow Dash pointed out we certainly can't have anyone staying at her house, because we can't walk on clouds."
"Well I happen to have a spare bedroom at Sweet Apple Acres." Applejack said "And I think there's enough room in the barn for three of you and your partner digimon, so long as you don't mind sleeping in sleeping bags. Unless you'd rather sleep in the hay."
"I've got room for two at Sugarcube Corner." Pinkie Pie said "I could use the extra company."
"I have an extra bedroom that fits two at the Boutique." Rarity said "And I'm sure there would be plenty of room for your partner digimon."
"I have some extra space at my cottage." Fluttershy said "So I think I could take two of you. That is if you don't mind. If you don't want to you don't have to."
"Well I know Izzy's going to want to sleep here." Tai said "Matt I think you Davis, Ken, and Cody could go with Applejack. T.K. and Kari I think you two could go with Rarity, just don't try any funny stuff if you what I mean. Sora you and Yolei could go with Pinkie Pie, I have a gut feeling you'll thank me for this later. Joe I think Fluttershy and you would get along nicely. And Mimi I think Fluttershy's cottage would be much better for you than this stuffy library. And I guess that means I'll be sleeping here. Are there any objections?"
To Tai's surprise noone objected to the sleeping arangements he had laid out. "Good." Tai said "See you all tommorrow. Our meeting place will be right here."
And with that everyone set off with their new roommates. Once everyone but Tai, Izzy, Agumon, and Tentomon had left Twilight closed the door. "Well I'm going upstairs to hit the sac. The guest bed is not too far from there, just try not to make any noise. And be careful where you step in the basement, and do try not to break anything." she said with a yawn as she headed upstairs for a good night's sleep.
"I think you should get the guest bed Tai." Izzy said "That basement certainly sounds like it has my name written on it."
"Well if you're sure." Tai said "We can swap at time just so you know."
"We'll keep that in mind." Tentomon said following Izzy. "Good night Tai. Good night Agumon."
"Good night Izzy. Good night Tentomon." Tai and Agumon replied. And with that the two of them headed up stairs and settled in for some shut eye.
Tai tossed and turned in his sleep. He was having a nightmare, but for the sake of his privacy we shall not delve directly into it. "No, please, take me! I'm the one you want! Take me, not them! Just please don't hurt them, I'll do anything but please don't hurt them!" he muttered "NO! You monster, you heartless monster! You said you'd let them go! Why did you have to kill them?! WHY?!" he bolted up right in bed, breathing heavily. "It was all just a dream. A really horrible dream." he said to himself.
He looked over and saw that his partner Agumon was sound asleep in bed. "Figures. Agumon could sleep through an earthquake." he thought to himself. Still he needed comforting (something he wasn't too ashamed to admit to), but he didn't want to wake his partner up. He had a feeling that Agumon would need to be well rested for tomorrow. He wasn't sure why exactly but he a gut feeling that something was going to happen tomorrow, and he would need to Agumon to be ready. A sleep deprived digimon wouldn't do him any favors.
This left him with only two options. He could try to sneak down to the basement and talk to Izzy but he decided not to. He didn't want to risk bumping into any of the lab equipment Twilight had stashed down there and he knew Izzy didn't like to be woken up.
So he had no choice but to find Twilight and see if perhaps she'd be willing to listen. He got up from the guest bed and looked around, Twilight was not in her bed. "That's odd. I guess she couldn't sleep either." he thought to himself. "Now let's see if I was a super smart librarian and I couldn't sleep where would I go?" he thought for a moment and then an answer sprang into his mind "Of course. I'd go star gazing." and with that he headed out onto the balcony of the library. Sure enough there was Twilight looking up at the stars.
"I thought I'd find you out here." Tai said.
"Oh hello Tai." Twilight said turning her attention away from the stars for a moment. "What brings you out here?"
"I couldn't sleep." Tai replied "I had a nightmare."
"Really? Well do you want to talk about it?" Twilight asked.
"I suppose I should." Tai said "In my dream my friends and I were battling some evil monstrosity. We couldn't even tell what it was because it was hidden by shadows. It captured my friends and threatned to kill them. I begged with it to take me instead of them. My friends pleaded with me not to and to just forget about them, but I couldn't leave them behind. So the monster took me instead and let my friends go free for a moment. Before it charged up an attack and killed them all. And the worst part was that I saw the whole thing. I watched as my friends ran free, unaware that their lives were about to cut short. I wanted to scream at them to run away, but the words never came out. I woke up just after I asked the monster why it had killed them."
"I am so sorry to hear that." Twilight said "Luckly it was just a dream."
"Yeah. But I'm scared something like that might actually happen." Tai said "There have been times in my life where that dream I had came close to coming true."
"How so?" Twilight asked.
"Well it's a long story." Tai said.
"I've got time." Twilight said "I'm all ears.
"I don't know if you'd understand this but I've never really had a normal life." Tai said and with that he told Twilight everything, from the time he was chosen as a digidestined at the age of 6 up to this very day.
"Wow that was quite a story." Twilight said "You've most certainly been through a lot."
"I know." Tai said "I'm sorry if that long speech was boring for you."
"It wasn't boring at all." Twilight said "I've heard longer speeches myself. I've also given a few long ones once in a while."
"Well that's intresting. I take it you for some reason you couldn't sleep either." Tai said.
"Well yes I've been having trouble sleeping lately as well." Twilight said "But it won't make sense unless I explain some things to you first. Be warned it will likely be long."
"Well it's not like I've got anything better to do." Tai said "Let's hear it."
"I wasn't born here in Ponyville." Twilight said "I was actually born and raised in Canterlot,where I became a personal student of Princess Celestia, the ruler of Equestria, along with her sister Princess Luna."
"Equestria is ruled by princess'?" Tai asked.
"Yep." Twilight replied "Don't ask me why because I have no idea. But I assure you they are both great rulers." and so Twilight proceeded to tell Tai everything from her time in Canterlot up until now. "Ever since then I've been having trouble sleeping, because I believe that Celestia might be training me to become an alicorn like herself." Twilight said "I don't know if she wants me to take over the throne, and rule alongside Luna, or if she's even planning to turn me into an alicorn at all. I don't think I want to be an alicorn, even if it gives me great powers and earns me a place in history. I don't want my friendships to change, and I don't want to change either. Because I've grown to like who I am."
"Wow that was quite a story." Tai said "I must say you've come a long way since you first moved here."
"And you've come a long way since you first became a digidestined." Twilight said.
"Yeah I guess I have." Tai said "And if it means anything to you I think you're very brave. Even when things look bleak you've almost never given up. Just like me you have a lot of courage. And like me you've become an effective leader with experience despite being new to the leadership role. It looks like we might have more in common then I thought."
"Yeah I guess we do." Twilight said, a sudden yawn escaping her mouth. "Wow. Suddenly I feel very tired. I guess I just needed someone to listen while I got all of this off my chest."
"Same here." Tai said "Well goodnight Twilight. See you in the morning." and he turned to leave.
"Wait, Tai." Twilight called.
"What?" Tai asked.
"I just want to say thanks." Twilight said.
"For what?" Tai asked.
Twilight paused for a moment, as if to reconsider what she was about to say. Then she spoke up "For just being there." she said "Not even Spike or Princess Celestia would've likely listened for as long as you have." and with that Twilight kissed Tai on the cheek.
"Um, you're welcome I guess." Tai said "I assure you it was nothing really."
"Well all the same you did listen." Twilight said "That counts for something. See you in the morning."
"You too." Tai said. "Wow I just got kissed by a pony. My first kiss!" he thought to himself, a slight blush forming. "Never thought it be a pony. Even though Twilight is super cute."
Little did he know that Twilight felt the same way. And so the two "love intrests" returned to their beds. Sleep came much eaiser after that for the both of them.
As was usual in Equestria Princess Celestia raised the sun, and with it's rising a new morning began. Unknown to her this morning was special. For it was the digidestined and their partner digimon's first morning in the land of Equestria.
Twilight was always the first one up in the morning considering she was something of a creautre of habbit, she often planned things out in advance and panicked whenever things didn't go according to her schedule.
Today however she had no schedule. She had been so absorbed with meeting the digidestined and their respective partner digimon that she had completly forgotten to plan out a schedule. Normally this would have sent her into panic mode, but after her talk with Tai the last night, where she had poured out everything that had been on her mind, she seemed to feel more refreshed. She no longer felt like she needed a schedule for everything, and this was one of those things that didn't require a schedule. Plus she'd been working on trying to control her panic attacks considering how much harm they'd caused in the past.
Tai awoke not long afterward. He immediately asked a question. "Do you have a bathroom or some place that I can freshen up in?" he asked Twilight.
Twilight pointed towards a door at the end of a long hallway on the ground floor. It was blue with a picture of a yellow moon and stars painted on it.
"Thanks." Tai said "Oh by the way I know you ponies don't normally wear clothers but do you do laundry?'
"Once in a while yes." Twilight answered "I've kept a couple of outfits for places or events where formal attire might be needed. And I've kept two dresses made for me by Rarity for special occassions, that I've worn every now and then."
"Well in that case could you please wash my clothes for me?" Tai asked "Since the only duds I'm going to be wearing while I stay in Equestria are the ones I have on me now I'm going to need them to stay fresh. It's not like I have a suitcase full of outfits or anything like that."
"I'll see what I can do." Twilight said "You just leave the clothes in the laundry basket and I'll collect them and wash them for you."
"Good." Tai said "Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to hit the shower. If Agumon should wake up just tell him I'll be a while." And with that Tai headed for the bathroom.
Not long afterward Tai was in the shower and Twilight was busy washing Tai's clothes. She'd just put them in the drier (yes ponies did have driers in Equestria) when a voice called out "So you ponies do laundry huh? Well this world just keeps on surprising me."
"Oh good morning Izzy." Twilight said "These clothers aren't mine. You see Tai's in the shower right now and he asked me to wash his clothes. He figured that since he's going to be staying in Equestria he's going to need these to stay fresh."
"It's times like this that make me glad I don't have to worry about clothes or baths." Tentomon said "Whenever my skin gets dirty I just shed it and that's that."
"Yes well you just make sure that doesn't happen while you're sleeping with me in this place." Izzy said "It happened once before back on Earth and needless to say it wasn't a very pleasant experience."
"I said I was sorry." Tentomon said "Anyway where's Agumon?"
"Oh he's still asleep last I checked." Twilight said "Did either of you sleep good last night? I know that the basment bed isn't that comfortable but it sure beats sleeping on the hard floor."
"Well it wasn't the best sleep I've ever had but it was decent." Izzy said "I've had worse."
"I slept like a log." Tentomon said "And I'm pretty sure Agumon slept well."
"Do you think we should wake him up?" Twilight asked as she levitated the dried clothes out of the drier.
"Nah. I say let him sleep." Izzy said "By the way how did you do that?"
"Do what?" Twilight asked.
"What you just did with the laundry." Izzy asked.
"Magic." Twilight said "All unicorns can do it."
"Unicorns?" Izzy asked, he was confused.
"I'll explain later when we meet up with my friends." Twilight said.
Agumon awoke soon afterward. And Twilight took the liberty of reintroducing him to Spike. Surprisingly enough the two hit it off instantly.
While the two took the time to chat Twilight decided to deliver Tai's clothes to him. She knocked on the bathroom door. "It's me Twilight." she said "I finished washing and drying your clothes."
"Well come on in and deliver them." Tai said from the other side of the door.
"Oh o.k." Twilight said nervously as she turned the knob on the door and began to open it.
"Don't be nervous." Tai said "I'm wearing a towel. I'm not stupid."
Needless to say this satement calmed Twilight immensely.
Once Tai had been dressed and emerged from the bathroom Twilight set to work on making him, Izzy, their parnter digimon Agumon and Tentomon, and Spike breakfast.
At Carousel Boutique Rarity was already awake. After taking the time to make herself look presentable she trotted over to the bedroom that T.K. and Kari were sharing along with their partner digimon Patamon and Gatomon.
She was just about to enter when she heard some rather, intresting things.
"Ooh. T.K. I could use your help with this." Kari said.
"Are you sure?" T.K. asked.
"Yes, I'm positive." Kari said.
"Well, alright here I come." T.K. said.
"Please be gentle." Kari said.
"I'll be as gentle as I can." T.K. said. "Alright where is it?"
"Go lower." Kari said.
"If you say so." T.K.said "Is that good?"
"A little lower." Kari said.
"How bout now?" T.K. asked "Is that good?"
"Yeah. That feels really good T.K." Kari said "But could you go a little faster?"
"I'll see what I can do." T.K. said.
"Oh yeah! Right there, that's the spot!" Kari said. "Oh man that feels so good!"
"You're telling me." T.K. said "I still can't believe I'm doing this."
"Just a little more T.K.!" Kari said. "Please!"
"Alright since you asked nicely." T.K. said "Is that good enough for you Kari or do you want more?"
"That's enough T.K." Kari said happily "I knew I could count on you to do this."
"Hey, don't menton it." T.K. said "I'm sure you would have done the same for me if the roles were reversed."
Despite being a little bit disturbed at what she'd just heard Rarity put on a brave face. She turned the doorknob with her magic and slowly began to open the door. What she saw surprised her.
There were Kari and T.K., sitting next to each other on the bed. Kari's shirt was lifted up to show her back. Both Kari and T.K. seemed really happy and T.K. did not appear to be at all tired or worried. Something was up.
"Just what were you two doing?" Rarity asked.
"Oh, well you see, the thing is." T.K. said suddenly looking ashamed.
"Come on now T.K. it was nothing to be ashamed of." Kari said "I got a really bad back itch that I just couldn't reach, and T.K.. here was kind enough to scratch it for me."
"Is that all you were doing?" Rarity asked suddenly feeling ashamed for jumping to conclusions.
"Yes that's all." Kari said "What did you think we were doing?"
"Oh why nothing darlings." Rarity said "I must say you two must really trust each other to do something like that."
"Yeah and that's why I think T.K.'s the best boyfriend a girl could have. Isn't that right T.K.?" Karisaid as she kissed him.
"Aw shucks, it's nothing really." T.K. said trying and failing to hide his blush.
"Yes well now that that's settled what do you say to breakfast? I'm pretty sure I could wip something up for all of us." Rarity said.
"Breakfast does sound good." Kari said.
"YAY BREAKFAST!" shouted a sweet but high pitched voice. The voice was so loud that it woke Patamon and Gatomon with a start because both of them had very senesitive hearing.
"What was that?" they asked. Both of them were more frightened than upset at being woken up.
As if to answer their question a small female pony, or a filly as they were called trotted into view. She looked almost exactly like Rarity, except she had a light purple mane and tail that were not done up in a curl.
"Aw. who's this cutie?" Kari asked.
"This is my little sister Sweetie Belle." Rarity said "Now Sweetie Belle how many do I have to tell you not to shout so loudly in the morning?"
"Sorry Rarity." Sweetie Belle "I'm just so excited." she looked at T.K., Kari, Patamon, and Gatomon. "Hey who are those weird creatures, and what are they doing in your house Rarity?"
"These are our new friends Sweetie Belle." Rarity said "The two tall ones are called T.K. and Kari, and the two smaller ones are called Patamon and Gatomon."
"They're really funny looking for ponies sis." Sweetie Belle said.
"Actually we're not ponies." T.K. said. "Kari and I are human beings. And Patamon and Gatomon are digimon which stands for digital monster."
"M-monster?" Sweetie Belle said her usual cheerful tone replaced with a more fearful one.
"Don't worry these so called 'monsters' are friendly Sweetie Belle." Rarity assured her. "They won't hurt you."
"Yeah but you sure hurt our ears." Patamon said.
"Sorry." Sweetie Belle said.
"Well now, as I was saying before why don't I make us all breakfast?" Rarity asked.
"Are you sure you can handle making food for all six of us?" Kari asked.
"I'm pretty sure." Rarity said "But you're more than welcome to help out if you'd like."
"Well then I'd be glad to assist you Rarity." Kari said "I'm a pretty good cook myself."
"Are you?" Rarity asked "Because if you are then perhaps later today you could give Sweetie Belle some cooking lessons. She's been improving a little bit, but she could really use some help. And I've been so busy lately that I haven't had time to teach her myself."
"I'm sure she can't be as bad as my mom." Kari said "And to be fair she's not really that bad of a cook. She just insists on trying all these new recipes. The less said about those the better."
Inside Sugarcube Corner Sora awoke to the sound of random noises coming from upstairs. "It must be Pinkie Pie." she thought to herself. She could see Yolei was waking up too as were their partners.
"What's all that noise?" Yolei asked.
"I don't know but we're going to find out." Sora said. And with that she, Yolei, Biyomon, and Hawkmon made their way upstairs. They found the noise was coming from the nursery. They remembered last night that Pinkie Pie had introduced them to the Cakes Mr. and Mrs., and had then told them, after showing them to their room, to keep the noise to a minimum so that Pound and Pumpkin Cake could sleep. When they had asked who Pound and Pumpkin Cake were Pinkie Pie had said, they were the cutest foals she'd ever met. Needless to say Sora and Yolei had not expected to meet the foals so soon.
Pinkie Pie had just finished up her daily morning funny face exercises on the twins when Sora, Yolei, Biyomon and Hawkmon came in.
"What are you doing?" Yolei asked.
"I'm just practicing my funny faces on Pound and Pumpkin Cake, trust me they like it. Isn't that right?" Pinkie Pie asked. Pound and Pumpkin Cake giggled in response. Pinkie Pie smiled as well but it faded as she moved to pick them up.
"What's wrong Pinkie Pie?" Yolei asked.
Before Pinkie Pie could answer Sora scopped the foals up in her arms. "I'll bet I know." she said "It's changing time isn't it?"
Pinkie Pie nodded in response.
"Leave it to me." Sora said. She carried Pound and Pumpkin Cake over to the changing table. She undid their diapers and threw them into the trash. After carefully wiping and powdering them, she slid new diapers under them and strapped them up. "There we go." Sora said as she lifted the foals off the changing tables.
"Wow, that fast!" Pinkie Pie said "Even Mr. and Mrs. Cake could never move as fast as you did."
"That's because Sora is a babysitting pro." Biyomon said.
"Yep." Sora said "I use to babysit a lot back on Earth. And it looks like I haven't lost my touch."
"Glad to hear that." Pinkie Pie said "When I have to foalsit these two again I'll make sure to keep you close by."
"Thanks Pinkie Pie." Sora said.
"Now waddya say we all go downstairs and eat breakfast?" Pinkie Pie said.
"You go on ahead and get everything ready, I'll join you after I wash my hands." Sora said as she left the nursery .
Applejack, Matt, and Gabumon were already wide awake. Applejack had woken up Matt with little trouble. Matt was a little unhappy at being woken up earlier than he would've liked, but he quickly got over it once Applejack explained that the Apple Family as a whole was use to waking up with the sun.
They entered the barn and found that aside from Davis everyone was already awake. "Davis always was a heavy sleeper." Armadillomon said.
"Yeah and he snores too." Wormmon said.
"Guess it's up to us to wake him up." Cody said.
"Just leave it to me." Veemon said "Davish never really likes being woken up but I'm sure he won't mind too much if I'm the one doing it."
"Actually I've a got a better idea." Applejack said, she whispered it to the others.
"Are you sure that's safe?" Ken asked.
"Of course it's safe." Applejack said "The hay will give him a nice soft landing."
"Couldn't you just poke him until he wakes up?" Matt asked.
"I could, but this way is a lot more fun for me. Plus it gives me a chance to practice my lassoing skills." Applejack said. And with that the farmpony hurled her trusty lasso that had never failed her. Sure enough it hit its target. Applejack pulled hard and Davis slowly began to be dragged out of his sleeping bag. Applejack kept pulling until Davis was close to the edge of the second floor. "O.k. here goes. One, two, three!" Applejack said and pulled one last time on her lasso. Davis fell into the haybale with a light thud.
"Hey!" he said "Why did you have to do that?!"
"Sorry sugarcube." Applejack said trying to contain her laughter "But would you rather have slept in and missed breakfast?"
"O.k. you got me there." Davis said "But don't ever do that again."
"I'll try not to sugarcube." Applejack said "Now come on I've got to introduce you all to my family."
The guys and their digimon didn't need to be told twice and they filed out of the barn.
Applejack paused for a moment once outside. The barn held sentimental value to her even though it had only just now been built. She had accidentally demolished the old barn during the last Apple Family reunion, and that had been the point where she realize she'd been trying too hard to make the the reunion memorable for all the Apples who attended. So in order to make up for it she had proposed that all the Apples pitch in to help raise the barn. She'd even made up a little song that she had sung with all the Apples to help make the work more fun.
A tear formed in her eye as she thought back to that fond memory which was still recent. As a matter of fact it had taken place the day before Twilight had accidentally brought the digidestined and their partner digimon to Equestria. Looking up to the sky she said to no one in particular "I sure do miss ya ma and pa. I wish you could be here to see this. I just hope that wherever you are now that you're proud of me."
"Yo Applejack! You coming?" Davis asked.
"Yeah I'm coming." Applejack said "I just had some 'family business' to take care of."
Fluttershy, Mimi, and Joe had already woken up and had eaten breakfast. Mimi and Joe were impressed at all the animals that Fluttershy was currently looking after. They ranged from tiny little animals like birds and squirrels to big behemoths like a grizzly bear. Fluttershy reassured them that he was harmless and that he was only here for his weekly massage therapy.
Gomamon found himself quickly befriending the seals and otters that swam in the pond that went around and under Fluttershy's house.
Palmon on the other hand was not so lucky. "Mimi, a little help here please!" she said.
Mimi came rushing over. Palmon was being pulled by her roots by a couple of Fluttershy's smaller animals. Apparently they mistook her for an actual plant.
"Come on now leave Palmon alone." Mimi said kindly "She's a living being too you know. She has feelings and right now she's not feeling very happy so please leave her alone."
The animals only had to take one look at Mimi's face and they instantly abandoned any ideas that involved Palmon. They all went to go do what they normally did.
Joe and Fluttershy had watched the whole thing. Fluttershy was surprised that her animals had been so quick to obey a stranger, but Joe had known Mimi for a long time and he knew that her pretty looks were capable of bending anyone or anything she wanted. Fortunately she often used it for the good of others, and not for herself. Joe sighed.
"What's the matter Joe?" Fluttershy asked "Do you want to talk about it. If you don't want to you don't have to."
"It's Mimi." Joe said "I mean just look at her. She's so sweet, she beautiful on the outside and the inside, she's got such a lovely voice both in singing and in general, and she's always sincere. Any guy would be luckly to have her."
"Are you crushing on her?" Fluttershy asked "Oh sorry, I probably shouldn’t have asked."
"No it's fine." Joe said "But the thing is Mimi and I are childhood friends. I was even the camp counselor at a summer camp she attended once. For a time I thought she and I might actually have something but after our first visit to the digital world I started becoming intrested in being a doctor, and my studies gave me very little free time. And in the meantime Mimi's folks had to move to New York and she had to go with them. And well we just kind of drifited apart. I hear she's been seeing this American digidestined boy named Michael a lot lately and I'm happy for her. But I guess a part of me just isn't willing to accept that she's moved on."
"Oh I'm so sorry to hear that." Fluttershy said "If it makes you feel any better my first relationship ended on a relatively similar note. I became intrested in Applejack's brother Big Macintosh and for a time I thought we were really going to be together forever, I mean we had a lot in common. But as time passed Big Macintosh and I started seeing each other less and less, until finally Big Macintosh said things wouldn't work out between us, but that we could still be friends. I've heard that he's currently dating Cheerilee the school teacher. And I'm happy for him, believe me it took a long time for me to accept that Big Macintosh had moved on. Luckly my friends were able to cheer me up and help me get over it and I'm sure your friends will help you do the same."
"Thanks Fluttershy." Joe said "Gomamon was the only other being I'd trust with something like this but I know he'd never understand."
"Don't mention it." Fluttershy said "By the way you said you were studying to become a doctor right?"
"Yes. why do you ask?" Joe said.
"Because I think I might have a task that I'll need your help with. And Mimi could help too." Fluttershy said.
Fluttershy led Joe and Mimi up to her bedroom. "The patient is right over there." Fluttershy said.
The "patient " was a rabbit. Fluttershy's pet rabbit Angel Bunny to be exact.
"Um I really don't think I can help you out Fluttershy." Joe said "I'm studying to become a human doctor not a veterinarian."
"Oh I know." Fluttershy said "And I think I already know what the problem is but I figured I'd get a second opinion from a professional before I did anything. You see Angel has been walking funny lately and wimpers whenever he moves his right foot. I think it might be broken but I want to be sure before I do anything."
"Well I'll see what I can do." Joe said as he approached Angel. Angel hid under Fluttershy's bed. "Hey it's o.k., don't be shy little guy. I'm not gonna hurt ya." Angel refused to move.
"Here let me try." Mimi said "It's o.k. Angel, Joe's not going to hurt you. He's going to make you feel better. But he can't do that unless he gets a good look at your leg. Now come on, your leg certainly won't get any better hiding under the bed."
To Joe's surprise Angel came out from hiding and walked as best as he good towards Joe. Joe scooped Angel up in his arms and throughly examined Angel's right leg. "Well I can't do any sort of x-ray to confirm but from what I can see this leg is definatly broken no mistake about that. I'd recommend an operation to fix the bone. And then avoid putting too much presure on that right foot until it heels."
"I'll be sure to do that right away." Fluttershy said "As a matter of fact I can probably fix Angel's bunny leg myself. But thanks for your help."
"It was nothing." Mimi and Joe said at the same time. There was an akward silence between the two.
Joe broke the silence "Right. Well I'd better go see what Gomamon's been up to in my abscene. I hope he hasn't gotten himself into trouble." And with that Joe left the cottage. To his relief he found Gomamon resting on the surface of the pond. "Well that's got to be the longest Gomamon has gone without causing any trouble." he thought to himself.
What about Rainbow Dash you ask, well without any digiestined around her morning was nothing out of the ordinary, although she longed to show her new friends just what she could do. But of course she knew that would have to wait until after the party Pinkie Pie was surely going to throw for their new friends.
A little later the digidestined had all gathered back at Twilight's library. Pinkie Pie had insisted on throwing them a party but Twilight had told her that it would have to wait, and Pinkie Pie had reluctantly agreed, she was not one to disappoint a friend's request.
"I suppose you're wondering why I called you all back here?" Twilight asked.
"Well duh, I mean why wouldn't we?" Davis replied.
"Calm down Davish." Veemon said "I'm sure whatever reason Twilight has for bringing us back here is important."
"Well in a way yes." Twilight said "Since it doesn't like you'll be able to go back to your world anytime soon I figured there's something Equestria that you must know about. You see, there are three or actually FOUR types of ponies. But chances are you'll only see three of those types."
"So what are the three types?" Izzy asked "Where we come from all horses, or I guess I should say ponies, look the same."
"Allow me to explain." Twilight said "The first type of ponies are unicorns, like myself and Rarity. Unicorns are identified by the horns on their head. These horns allow them to perform magic."
"Magic huh?" Izzy asked "Back where we come from everyone says there's no such thing as magic."
"Yes magic." Twilight said "Of the three pony types unciorns are the weakest physically, although unicorns are still fairly strong. Unicorns make up for their lack of natural strength by being able to cast magic spells. These spells have different effects and require different amounts of magical energy to cast. As a result some unicorns are more skilled than others and can cast more powerful spells. For example my friend Rarity largely uses her magic to levitate objects, and what few spells she does cast tend to require a lot of energy, so naturally Rarity doesn't use her magic for everything. I on the other hoof am much more skilled and can cast higher level spells without tiring myself out."
"I see." Izzy said.
"Unicorns have one weakness." Twilight said "Their horns. If at any time their horns are damaged or destoryed unicorns cannot cast any spells at all. In the event of the horn's destruction some unicorns have even died although doctors have found ways to prevent this. If the horn is only damaged it can regrow with time assuming the unicorn does not attemot to cast any spells and sustains no other injuries during the healing period. Most horns grow back in a matter of days but all depends on how serious the injury is and how powerful the magic that was involved in said injury was."
"Has that ever happened to you?" Tai asked.
"Well actually it didn't happen to me but it did happen to my mentor Princess Celestia once." Twilight said "But then she is an alicorn so the rules are a little different?"
"Alicorns?" Agumon asked.
"I'll explain those later." Twilight said "For now let's move on to the next type of pony. Earth ponies like Applejack and Pinkie Pie are physically the strongest of the three types. They do not have horns or wings, but they do contain some magic in them. This magic grants them a closer bond with the land beneath them, which makes them skilled at planting and growing crops. Earth ponies also have incredible stamina and indurance, which is thought to be at least partially related to their 'earth pony magic'."
"Why exactly are they called earth ponies?" T.K. asked "Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't Earth and Equestria in two different universes?"
"They are, at least to my knowledge." Twilight said "And to this date no one has an explanation. It's believed that humans may have once inhabited Equestria but no traces of their civilzation have survived to prove it. And it's also thought that Equestria may have once been part of a different universe. But like with the humans theory there's no evidence to prove it."
"I guess that makes sense." T.K. said "I can't imagine how Equestria and Earth could have ever coexisted without either of it's species knowing about it. Perhaps if we ever do find a way back to our universe Gennai will know something about this."
"Who knows?" Patamon said "Gennai is full of surprises."
"So I take it you did manage to pick up a little bit of information about our universe before you brought us here?" Yolei said.
"Yes." Twilight said "But we're getting off topic here. Anyways the the third type of ponies are pegasus ponies, or pegasi like Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. Physically pegasi are stronger than unicorns but weaker then earth ponies although not by much. There are two different types of pegasi. Some, like Rainbow Dash are skilled flyers and often tend to live in Cloudsdale. Others, like Fluttershy while still adept at flying are not as skillful. As such they often tend to live closer to the ground. All pegasi however have the ability to manipulate the weather around Equestria, with the exception of The Everfree Forest, which I believe is similar to your world. Anyways pegasi are capable of controling the weather but they are also capable of producing tornadoes with their wings. Each pegasus has a natural 'wing power' which is the strength of their wings when flying. This wing power allows for a pegasus to generate a tornado when they are flying fast enough. The stronger the wing power the eaiser it is to generate the tornado. The tornado in turn gains strength based on the amount of wing power that the pegasus put into creating it. Eventually most pegasi generated tornadoes die off on their own, but sometimes they won't stop until the pegasus who created the tornado stops flying. Or in some cases until a pegasus or pegasi can counter the rotation of the tornado by flying in the opposite direction it is spining. Cutting off it's rotation."
"Woah that sounds pretty cool!" Biyomon said "I wish I could do that."
"Be careful what you wish for Biyomon." Hawkmon said "Becasue as the old saying goes you might just get it."
"It might sound cool to you." Twilight said "But for pegasi that means a lot of responsibility. The last thing any pegasus pony wants is lose control of their tornado. There have been incidents where ponies have been seriously injured as a result of out of control pegasi generated tornadoes."
"What about deaths?" Ken asked.
"Well you'll have to ask Rainbow Dash about that." Twilight said.
"Well Rainbow Dash." Ken asked "Have there ever been any deaths as a result of a pegasus losing control of their tornado?"
Rainbow Dash tenesed up at that sentence. She almost seemed unwilling to answer "U-u-um well. N-No, there have never been any sort of deaths caused by an out of control tornado that was pegasus generated."
Ken didn't seem to buy it at first, Rainbow Dash gulped. Then to her relief Ken said "Well that's a relief. I guess that's one less thing we have to worry about."
"Yeah." Rainbow said. "I really wish you hadn't asked though." she thought to herself "I know Applejack would be pretty mad with me but I had to lie. I don't know if these guys would be happy to know the truth. There's an urban legend about a pegasus who lost control of his tornado once and it was so strong that it almost demolished Ponyvillie. It was ulitmately stopped when the pegasus who generated it flew into the heart of said tornado and countered its rotation. But he used up all of his energy and as a result he collapsed to the ground and died immediately afterwards. It's been passed down by the workers of the weather factory. They say it serves as a reminder to be careful when generating your tornado. Supposedly the pegasus involved was Derpy's father. I'll have to speak to Derpy again and see if she knows anything. I just don't think I need to be frightening them anymore than with my usual pranks. Somehow it seems like a bad idea."
"So what's the fourth type?" Kari asked
"The fourth and final type of ponies are alicorns, which basically are ponies with horns and wings." Twilight said "They're not the kind of ponies you'd see on a day to a day basis but they're actually more common then you might think. Alicorns can be either be naturally born as I believe is the case with Princess Cadence. Or they can be created, either as the result of things called 'the trials', or if an alicorn passes their powers to a non-alicorn pony. I'm afraid that's about all I know about alicorns. There isn't much information available on them, much of what we know comes directly from the rulers of Equestria Princess' Celestia and Luna, who are alicorns themselves."
"How can they be the rulers of Equestria and yet only be Princess'?" Izzy asked "In our universe most countries with princess' have a queen or king as ruler."
"To be honest I'm not sure myself." Twilight said "You'd have to ask Celestia and Luna themselves."
"And you guys can worry about that later because right now it's party time!" Pinkie Pie said.
About an hour later Pinkie Pie's party was in full swing at Sugarcube Corner. The digidestined had not told anypony there, aside from the mane six (which is what their new friends had requested they be called when in a group) about digimon. At Twilight's insistance they had passed their partner digimon off as their pets. They had mentioned that they were from Earth, but nopony aside from the mane six knew what they were talking about.
"I've gotta to hand it to Pinkie Pie, she sure knows how to throw a party." Tai said to Twilight, the two of them were using the party as an excuse to spend more time with each other, although neither of them really knew why. Agumon and Spike were off playing some party games, although they had been warned not to reveal Agumon's secret.
"Yeah Pinkie Pie isn't the Element of Laughter for nothing." Twilight said "In fact I heard that throwing a party is how she got her cutie mark in the first place, although no one knows for sure."
"Speaking of cutie marks why didn't you tell us they were important?" Tai asked "Because those three ponies over there in the corner said that a cutie mark is perhaps the most important thing to a pony besides their name."
"Oh, I knew I was forgeting something." Twilight said "Cutie marks are symbols that appear on a pony's flank when they discover their true purpose in life, the thing that they are destined to do so to speak. And those three ponies over there don't have their cutie marks yet, which is why they think it's so important."
"From the looks of things I'd say you know them." Tai said.
"That's because I do." Twilight said "Those three ponies over there call themselves the Cutie Mark Crusaders. They consist of Apple Bloom, who is Applejack and Big Macintosh's younger sister, Sweetie Belle, who is Rarity's younger sister, and Scootaloo who has recently become Rainbow Dash's adopted little sister in a way."
"What do you mean in a way?" Tai asked.
"Well a few weeks ago Scootaloo convinced Rainbow Dash to go on a camping trip with her and her fellow crusaders, along with Applejack and Rarity. After that trip Rainbow Dash said she'd take Scootaloo under her wing and since then the two have been hanging out quite a lot. I must say I'm impressed, I never pegged Rainbow Dash as being good with kids." Twilight explained.
"Anyone can surprise you if you never give up on them." Tai said "Trust me this is something I know all too well."
The party went on for about two more hours and then just as everypony had left leaving the digidestined, thiei partner digimon, the mane six, and Spike all alone in Sugarcube Corner, it happened.
Pinkie Pie's tail started twitching.
"Twitcha twitch, twitcha twitch!" Pinkie Pie said.
"Could someone please explain what that means?" Izzy asked.
"It's part of Pinkie Pie's built in 'Pinkie Sense' which can predict certain events." Applejack explained
"How does it work?" Izzy asked.
"Trust me when I'h say you're better off not knowing. Twilight tried to make sense of it once and she nearly drove herself insane." Applejack explained
"Well what does a twitchy tail mean?" Gabumon asked.
"It means that something's going to fall." Pinkie Pie said "Last time it went off you all crash landed here."
"And I suppose now would be a bad time to point out that my crest is glowing?" Kari said.
"But then that can only mean one thing." Izzy said "Unless something else is about to come falling down, a portal is about to open, and someone or something related to the powers of darkness is going to emerge from it."
"Look outside!" Rainbow Dash shouted. Everyone did so and what they saw nearly blew their minds. There was a gaint violet portal, similar to the one that Twilight had created as part of her transunviersal teleportation spell, which had brought the digidestined to Equetria. Suddenly something shot out of it, only this time no one could get a good look at it because it was moving so fast.
"It looks like it's going to hit the center of town!" Twilight said. She and her friends along with the digidestined and their partner digimon quickly wasted no time in rushing to that spot. They knew they wouldn't get there in time.
"Uh-oh, incoming!" Davis shouted.
"HIT THE DECK!" Tai bellowed at the top of his lungs. Everyone did so just in time.
A moment later there was a loud crash, when the digidestined and their partner digimon looked up they couldn't see anything. A thick cloud of smoke caused by the impact obscured their vision, and this held true for the mane six and Spike.
"What happened?" T.K. asked.
"I don't know." Izzy said "I can't see anything."
"Well, well, long time no see digidestined!" A voice called out. "I apologize for my crude entry. Hardly fiting for a creature like me."
T.K. knew at once who that was. "Oh no! Please tell me that's not who I think it is!" he said his voice a mix of anger and annoyance.
The smoke cleared. Standing there was a creature that appeared to be like a devil. "I am Devimon! The once proud ruler of File Island! I'm back baby!"
"It can't be!" T.K. said "You were absorbed into Kimeramon, and then he was destroyed!"
"I thought it was the end for me too digidestined." Devimon said "But thanks an unforseen turn of events that even I am not aware of, I live again! And this time, this time I WILL kill you!"
"I see you're just as cocky as the others made you out to be." Kari said "I must say I never would've thought they'd be right."
"Ah, so I see you know who I am child of light." Devimon said "And I assume the same holds true for your new members. Well good because I'd hate to kill you all before we were properly introduced."
"Who's this joker?!" Rainbow Dash asked.
"He doesn't look like anything we've dealt with before." Twilight said "Wait a minute, Tai didn't you tell me about him last night?"
"I did." Tai said "But I never expected to face him again."
"What?! Don't tell you're giving up already!" Devimon said.
"Please, as if we'd make it that easy." Tai said "You want a piece of us?! Well come and get it!"
"I'll make you eat those words digidestined!" Devimon said.
"O.k. guys that's your cue." Tai said.
"Let's do it!" Agumon and Gabumon called out. Tai and Matt held up their digivices.

"What was that?" Twilight asked. She and her friends along with Spike were in a state of complete shock.
"Twilight listen carefully!" Tai said "You, Spike, and the others need to get out of here. My friends and I will take care of this! I'll explain later, just go!"
"But." Twilight said.
"No buts!" Tai said "Do as I say right now before I lose my patience!"
"Right. Come on girls. You heard what he said, let's go! You too Spike!" Twilight said.
"If anything ever happened to them I'd never forgive myself." Tai thought as he watched them leave.
"O.k., so what's your plan?" Izzy asked.
"I doubt Devimon will give us much trouble. WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon should be more than enough to deal with him. If worse comes to worse everyone else should digivolve to Champion." Tai explained.
"Alrigh,t if you're sure you know what you're doing." Izzy said.
"Just stand back and let Matt and I handle this!" Tai said Are you ready Matt?!"
"Ready to rock and roll!" Matt said "Go get em guys!"
"With pleasure!' WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon said as they charged into battle.
Devimon made the first move. "Evil Wing!" he called out launching a powerful blast from his wings. WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon dodged with ease.
"My turn!" WarGreymon said "Terra Force!" he called out, gathering up energy into a gaint ball and then hurling it directly at Devimon. The attack hit its mark and a small explosion rocked the nearby landscape.
"Hmph not bad." Devimon said "You actually managed to deal quite a bit of damage. But it'll take more than to stop me!"
"Well than how bout this?!" MetalGarurumon yelled "Ice Wolf Bite!" All the weapons inside of his body emerged and flew straight towards Devimon. All of them hit Devimon head on and another explosion rocked the land.
"That actually hurt!" Devimon said "And for that you shall pay dearly! Touch of Evil!" Devimon's hand reached out to try and grab the two Mega level digimon. Both of them dodged.
"Giga Missile!" MetalGarurumon yelled. A gaint missile emerged from his stomach. Devimon managed to dodge it, or so he thought. "Ha you missed!" Devimon gloated, that was a mistake because at that moment the missile came back around and struck him from behind.
"Ooh, that's gotta hurt!" Davis said.
"Well I must admit I didn't see that one coming MetalGarurumon, you've certainly gotten devious." Devimon said, several bruises had already formed on his body.
The battle raged on for half an hour. WarGreymon and Metal Garurumon kept launching attacks that struck Devimon without mercy. Devimon counterattacked after every blow and WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon managed to dodge most of them, although one or two attacks did catch them off guard. Fortunately aside from scrapes and bruises on their armor both Mega level digimon still seemed fresh and ready to go.
The same could not be said for Devimon however. He had several huge gash marks ,and was bleeding. It wasn't heavy, but it was constant. His whole body was bruised and scratched and he barely had enough energy left to stand.
"What's the matter Devimon?" Ken taunted "Can't handle two Megas? And here I thought you were tough. Seems like I gave you too much credit."
"You just keep making jokes while you can." Devimon said "Because I assure you that soon you won't have anything to make fun of or poke jokes at. Oh and by the way, your jokes, suck!"
"You did not just say that!" T.K. said.
"I did!" Devimon said "What are you going to do about it?!"
"This for starters!" MetalGarurumon said as he bit down hard on one of Devimon's wings.
Devimon screamed in pain "That hurts damn it!"
"I've got him pinned, now's your chance WarGreymon!" MetalGarurumon called out.
"This is what you get for using foul language!" WarGeymon yelled. "Great Tornado!" He stuck his arms out so his claws were facing directly in front of him and started to spin. He quickly turned into an orange cyclone. This cyclone plowed right through Devimon, emerging on the other side. MetalGarurumon let go of Devimon's wing.
Devimon looked down and saw a gaping hole where his heart use to be. He knew at once what had happened. To the digidestined's surprise he paused for a moment, and then threw back his head, laughing hard as his body began to be consumed by purple data packets. In other words he was being deleted.
"Mind telling me what's so funny?!" T.K. asked.
"It's just like when we first met 8 years ago digidestined. This isn't the end. There are more evil forces just waiting to reemerge, and as luck would have it they are all stronger than me. So I wouldn't celebrate if I were you because once again you haven't won at all. The battle may be over but the war has just begun." Devimon said. And then he went back to laughing, and he kept on laughing until all of his data had been deleted.
The digidestined watched as his data swirled upward into the violet portal and then disappeared. Then the portal closed, leaving behind no traces of its existence.
WarGreymon and MetalGarurmon reverted back to Agumon and Gabumon.
"They'll be o.k." Joe said "They're a little worn out but with a little rest they'll be back on their feet."
"Good.' Tai said "And something tells me we've seen the last of that jerk at least for now."
"Boy am I glad to hear that." T.K. said "That guy gives me the creeps."
"Yeah well his ugly face is enough to scare anyone." Davis said. And with the digidestined and their parnter digimon burst out laughing. If anypony were around to witness this they would ask why the digidestined could be laughing after what they'd been through. What they would've heard is that laughter was the digidestined's way of coping with things like this.
All the same Devimon's last words echoed in their minds. "The battle may be over but the war has just begun."
A few ponies had emerged from their homes due to the explosions. Needless to say they were a little unsettled by what they had seen.
"It's alright." Tai said after noticing them "We come in peace. Devimon won't be causing any more trouble. "
To Tai's surpise all of the ponies who had gathered quickly left the scene and went about their usual lives. Tai was surprised at how casually they had brushed it off. "I guess it doesn't take much for these ponies to move on. I guess after all the events Twilight explained to me about though I suppose they've gotten use to unusual things happening. Ah if only my friends lives could be like that."
"Well there's no point in standing around here." Tai said "We'd better go find Twilight and the others."
The digidestined and their partner digimon went looking but it didn't take long. They found Twilight a little less than halfway to her home.
"Oh thank Celestia you're o.k." Twilight said.
"Yeah I'm fine and so is everyone else." Tai replied "Right guys?"
"Right" replied the digidestined and their digimon partners.
"Well good, because you have a lot of explaining to do mister!" Twilight said.
"Explaining?" Tai asked.
"You said you'd explain later and well, it's later!" Twilight said.
"But what do I have to explain?" Tai asked.
"You just told me to leave for no apparent reason!" Twilight said "Do you have any idea how worried I was about you?!"
"Of course." Tai said "But I was just as worried about you. You might have your magic but I doubt that would have helped you against Devimon. If anything you would've likely just made him mad and he would've gone out of his way to attack you. And if anything ever happened to you or any of your friends as a result of my past I'd never forgive myself. In all honesty I really was about to blow my fuse back there but that just proves how worried I was."
"So you were worried too huh?" Twilight said "Well why didn't you just say so you big lug? I'd have understood perfectly." Upon finshing these words Twilight couldn't help but shed a few tears.
To everyone's surprise Tai wept as well and threw his arms around Twilight, refusing to let go. Twilight did the same and the two "lovebirds" became wrapped up in their first hug.
"Daw." was all anyone said and that's all that needed to be said because it was just one of those moments that really melted your heart and made part of you die on the inside. Even fairly quiet Cody and worrywat Joe couldn't resist joining in.
"So Tai and Twilight care about each other huh? Well I'd say that means they're in love. Hm, Tailight, I like the sound of that." Pinkie Pie said to no one in particular.
Anyone watching would have merely said "It's just Pinkie Pie being Pinkie Pie." and ignored it.
The hug ended about a moment later and both Tai and Twilight blushed a little as they looked at each other. It was as if though there was something they wanted say but they couldn't. Of course they had no need to do so, their actions had spoken loud enough for the both of them.
The rest of the day passed largely uneventfully for the digidestined and their partner digimon. Nopony in town seemed to be at all alarmed by the fact that there were non equines living in Equestria. As a matter of fact they seemed to openly embrace them, although this didn't make the digidestined instant celebrites.
After a victory dinner at Twilight's house the digidestined and their parnter digimon went their seperate ways again as the sleeping arangements made the night before still stood. Twilight offered to try and make room for Tai to sleep with her but Tai declined. He was still a gentleman, and he would not upset the arrangements he'd already made.
The next morning Applejack decided not to wake up her "guests". "They saved this town yestersday. They deserve a chance to get some extra sleep and get refreshed." Then the cowpony took a look outside. What she saw surprised her.
There was her brother Big Macintosh, he was walking slowly as another pony leaned on him. This pony was an earth pony mare with a purple coat, a light purple mane and tail, and a cuite mark consisting of three flowers with smily faces on them. Applejack knew at once who it was, the school teacher Miss. Cheerilee and Big Macintosh's marefriend. The two of them had gone on another date last night. Big Macintosh had said he'd likely be gone until morning.
Applejack raced outside just as Big Macintosh approached the front gate of Sweet Apple Acres.
"What in the hay happened Big Mac?" Applejack asked "And why is Cheerilee using you as a crutch?"
"Well she got drunk, and after a while she just passed out." Big Macintosh explained.
"How could you let this happen?!" Applejack said "I demand an explanation!"
"I tired to stop her but she said that she was a big pony and she didn't need me telling her what to do." Big Macintosh said.
"What did she drink exactly?" Applejack asked.
"She had some hard cider. About two glasses I believe." Big Macintosh said.
"Well no wonder she's so tired." Applejack said "She can barely stand on her legs after she's had only a cup of our cider. That hard cider's serious stuff."
"I'h know." Big Macintosh said "Needless to say she's not going to be doing much of anything today." He continued his explanation of what had occurred last night as he carried Cheerilee inside and brought her to his bedroom. He wasted no time in placing her on his bed and tucking her in.
"I've gotta get down to the school house so I can take over for her. She's obviously not going to be able to teach like this." Big Macintosh said.
"Not so fast Big Macintosh." Applejack said.
Big Macintosh froze. His sister almost never called him by his full name and when she did she usually did it was because she was about to chew him out.
"Don't think you're going anywhere. Not with Cheerilee the way she is." Applejack said.
"But Applejack I" Big Macintosh said.
"NO BUTS!" Applejack shouted "She's going to have one heck of a hangover when she wakes up and I know for a fact that she's going to want you by her side."
"But who's going to take her place at the school house? School's only two hours away, that's not enough time to file a request for a substitute." Big Macintosh said.
"Don't worry, I'm sure Twilight would be more than happy to step in." Applejack said.
"Well then you'd better be on your way." Big Macintosh said "I'll explain the situation to your friends when they wake up. Now go!"
Applejack didn't need to be told twice. She wasted no time in making her way from Sweet Apple Acres to the Ponyvillie Books and Branches library. Upon arriving Applejack knocked on the door, frantically hoping that Twilight was awake. To her relief the door opened, and Twilight came out with no signs of having been rudely awakened by Applejack's knocking.
"Good morning Applejack." Twilight said "What brings you here?"
"It's Cheerilee!" Applejack said "She went out for a date with my brother last night and she got drunk off of hard cider! She's back at Sweet Apple Acres resting and Big Macintosh is going to take care of her when she wakes up! And no, before you ask, I don't mean 'that' kind of taking care of!"
"And you'd like me to teach her in place?" Twilight asked.
"Yep." Applejack said.
"Well gee I'd love to." Twilight said "But I'm afraid today is reshelfing day, it's actually required that the head librarin reorganize the shelfs each month, and if they don't do so the library is closed down until the librarian agrees to pay a fine. The inspector's coming over in about one hour so I haven't got much time. I'm really sorry Applejack, any other day I'd glady do it but today it's just not possible."
"Oh I see." Applejack said, her stentson hat failing to hide her glum looking face.
"Couldn't you just ask one of our other friends to do it?" Twilight asked.
"Well I'd love to but although Pinkie Pie's fairly good with Pound and Pumpkin Cake who knows how good she'd be with school age colts and fillies? Fluttershy would likely be too frightened to even show up and even then she'd likely have a hard time keeping the foals in line. I don't quite know if Rarity has enough patience to deal with all the classroom antics, and I don't think the parents would be pleased to hear that Rainbow Dash is teaching for obvious reasons." Applejack said. "And I know I can't myself because I've got chores at Sweet Apple Acres, and with Big Mac looking after Cheerilee I can't afford to abandon my duties."
"But then who could we possibly find to take Cheerilee's place at this point? Just about everypony in town probably has something they need to be doing." Twilight said
"What's this all about?" Tai asked, descending the stairs.
"Oh hi Tai." Applejack said "Well long story short Cheerilee, the school teacher, got drunk on a date with my brother last night, and she's not going to be able to teach. So I came over here hoping that Twilight could take Cheerilee's place, but she's too busy, and I can't think of anypony else who could be a substitute."
"So you said you can't think of anypony to be a substitue teacher?" Tai asked.
"Yes, why?" Applejack asked.
"Then why not ask someone who's not a pony?" Tai said.
Applejack paused for a moment and then it hit her. "Of course why didn't I'h think of that before? I could ask one of your friends, I'm sure they wouldn't mind."
"Well how about you ask my sister Kari?" Tai said "She said she wanted to grow up to be a kindergarten teacher after all."
"That's a great idea." Agumon chimed in "And I'm sure Kari would agree."
"Then I've got no time to lose." Applejack said "See you guys later." and with that the farmpony took off again. This time her destination was Carousel Boutique. Once again she knocked frantically on the door.
"Oh hello Applejack, what brings you here darling?" Rarity asked after opening the door.
"Is Kari around?" Applejack asked.
"Yes, why?" Rarity asked.
Applejack explained everything.
"Well I'm sure that she'll say yes but just to be sure I'll ask her myself." Rarity said.
"Alright then guess I'll head on back to the farm." Applejack said "I don't see what would make her say no."
Kari was wide awake and she and T.K. had already eaten breakfast. Kari had been glad to see that the lessons she'd given Sweetie Belle were working, although Sweetie Belle still had a long way to go. She and T.K. along with Patamon and Gatomon were simpy relaxing while Sweetie Belle told them all about the Cutie Mark Crusaders.
"Oh excuse me." Rarity said "Could I talk you in private for a little bit Kari?"
"Sure thing." Kari said "I won't be long guys.".
"I'm glad to see you're getting along so nicely with Sweetie Belle." Rarity said "I try my best to put up with her antics and spend time with her, but sometimes it's so hard."
"What can I say, she's just so adorable." Kari said "And I guess I just have a knack for working with children."
"That's good to hear." Rarity said.
"Why is that?" Kari asked.
Rarity explained what Applejack had just told her a few minutes ago.
"So will you do it?" Rarity asked "There really is no one else that I can think of who might be better qualified than you."
"Of course I'll do it." Kari said "Kids and me are a winning combination."
"Good." Rarity said.
"Just wait unitl I tell Gatomon about this." Kari said.
"Actually I'd rather you not tell her." Rarity said.
"Why?" Kari asked.
"Because I'm not sure how many ponies know about digimon right now. And we have no way of knowing how they'll react. For now it's just best if the digimon stay our little secret." Rarity explained. "I'd be more than happy to look after Gatomon for you. After all I have a cat myself, Opalescence, and she's such a darling, even if at times she can be rather feisty."
"I see your reasoning." Kari said "And if you're sure you can handle Gatomon then by all means you're free to try. Although you might want T.K. nearby just in case. You're not a stranger but I don't know if Gatomon is quite willing to trust you yet. But we'll see I guess."
"Alright then." Rarity said "I take it that means you'll have no troubling escorting Sweetie Belle to school?"
"None whatsoever." Kari said "Although wouldn't it be better if I went down to the school house right now, after all doesn't school start soon?"
"It does.' Rarity said "But you'll have a little time once you escort Sweetie Belle to get inside and get everything ready. Cheerilee should have already set up the lesson plan yesterday. Just look it over and make sure you're comfortable with. Oh and a word to the wise watch out for Diamond Tiara, Sweetie Belle tells me she's always causing trouble. Sometimes she does it on her own and sometimes she has help from her friend Silver Spoon."
"Well don't you worry." Kari said "If Diamond Tiara does cause any trouble I'll make sure to punish her for it. But I really don't think it will come to that."
"Neither do I but considering how often Sweetie Belle complains about her I just thought I should warn you. Now come on you'd best be going Sweetie Belle is likely already packed up by now." Rarity said.
Sure enough as soon as Kari came back Sweetie Belle's saddle bags were already filled with pencils, paper, and all other sorts of school supplies. Rarity gave Sweetie Belle her lunchbox which was packed with all sorts of goodies but she was not to open said box until lunch time.
"Guess we'd better get going. Lead the way Sweetie Belle." Kari said.
"O.k. just follow me. I know the way to school like the back of my hoof, whatever that means." Sweetie Belle replied in her usual cheerful tone.
"She really is a walking bundle of joy." Kari thought as she and Sweetie Belle made their way down to the Ponyvillie school house.
"Hey look there's my fellow crusaders." Sweetie Belle said running over to join Apple Bloom and Scootaloo. "See you later Kari."
Kari immediately headed inside. It didn't take her long to find the classroom, there was only one after all. She looked outside and saw all the fillies and colts playing on the playground. They all looked so happy. Turning her attention away from the windows Kari noticed the school day schedule posted near the front row desks. She quickly reviewed it and the lesson plan and then she was ready.
"Oops, forgot one thing." she thought to herself as she remembered something that she'd seen all substitue teachers in her world do. Turning the black board she picked up a piece of chalk and began writing her name.
The school bell rang and all the colts and fillies rushed into the classroom, taking their repsective seats.
"Good morning students." Kari said "Miss Cheerilee is indisposed so she will not be teaching today. I am your substitue teacher. My name is Hikari Yagami Kamiya. But please just call me Miss Kari. I'm sure some of you may already know me but just in case I'd like to begin by asking you all what your names are."
And so the students told Kari their names. She made sure to memorize them so she could tell who was whom although she had no trouble identifying Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon.
"Well then since we've all gotten to know each other let's not waste any time and delve right into today's exciting lesson." Kari said "But before we begin I'd like to remind you all that I have a strict no tolerance policy for misbehavior of any sort. If I find you distrupting the classroom atmosphere or if I find you picking on other students you will be going home with a note at the end of the day as well as spending some quality time in the time out corner. Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes Miss Kari." the colts and fillies replied.
"Good." Kari said "Remember that I want to be your friend not your enemy. Now let us begin today's lesson."
The next few hours passed quickly. Kari was true to her word and made sure that any student that misbehaved was punished accordingly. Needless to say the entire classroom was thrilled when Diamond Tiara was caught picking on Twist and had to spend the last few minutes before lunch time recess in the time out corner.
When the bell rang for lunch recess all the students filed out and raced for the playground. But Diamond Tiara was not allowed to go until she sincerely apologized to Twist and told Kari who her father was so Kari could write him a note explaining what his daughter had done. "I hope you've learned your lesson." Kari said "If you cause any more trouble I'm afraid you'll have to stay after school for detention understand?!"
"Yes Miss Kari." Diamond Tiara said sadly.
Kari watched her go pleased to see that the filly wasn't causing any more trouble. Then she remembered that she'd forgotten to make her own lunch. "What am I gonna do?" she thought to herself.
"Hey Miss Kari over here." called a voice in a southern accent.
"Oh hi Apple Bloom." Kari said "I see you're having lunch with your friends Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle."
"Yup." Apple Bloom said "Why don't you come and join us?"
"Are you sure you want me to? I wouldn't want anypony to get the idea that I'm favorting you three." Kari asked.
"Hey don't worry about that." Scootaloo said "Besides this stuff is delicious. You should really try it out."
"Did all of this come from Sweetie Belle's lunchbox because it smells good." Kari said as she sat down on the bench.
"Most of it." Scootaloo replied "But some of it comes from Apple Bloom's family. All of them are really good cooks so it's impossible to tell who gave her what. And a few of these are from my mom, she's a pretty good cook as well. And she's one of the nicest mom's in all of Equestria. She's even going to see about teaching me how to fly this weekned. Of course Rainbow Dash has been teaching me too but in all honesty although I'd never admit I think my mom's a better flyer than Rainbow Dash. I hear she use to be a Wonderbolt member but she got tired of performing so she decided to settle down and start a family."
"Sounds like you all have wonderful families." Kari said taking some of the food after politely asking of course "But just wait unitl you hear about my family."
After enjyoing a very delicious lunch Kari said goodbye to the Cutie Mark Crusaders and headed back to the school house. Soon the bell rang signling the end of lunch recess. The colts and fillies filled back into the classroom and into their respective seats.
"I hope you all had an enjoyable lunch." Kari said "And now I hope you're all refreshed and ready to get back to learning."
The colts and fillies all noded in approval.
"Good." Kari said "Now then where were we?"
The rest of the school day passed just as quickly as the first few hours of it had. The colts and fillies had learned that Kari was not someone to be taken lightly so none of them bothered to try and disrupt the classroom.
After what only seemed like a few minutes even though the clock showed otherwise the bell rang once again signling the end of the school day. Kari was needless to say very pleased with herself. She had handled an entire group of colts and fillies without any problems or issues. And she had done so all on her own. After making sure to prepare the lesson plan for tomorrow Kari turned off the lights, closed the classroom door, and headed outside to join Sweetie Belle for the return journey to Carousel Boutique.
"I'm just going home so can I drop off my saddle bags really quick then I'm going to join Apple Bloom and Scootaloo. We're going to try and earn our cutie marks in bug catching." Sweetie Belle said.
"I hope you're not going into The Everfree Forest. From what I've heard it's very dangerous even for fully grown ponies." Kari said.
"No we've learned not to venture into there on our own." Sweetie Belle said "But I'd rather not talk about that."
"Well no one ever said you had to." Kari said "Now then let's get going. We don't want your sister to get worried about you now do we?"
"No we don't." Sweetie Belle said.
The rest of the journey passed in silence.
That night Kari wouldn't stop talking about all the things she'd learned about the various colts and fillies living in Ponyville.
"Wow sounds like you had a busy day Kari." T.K. said.
"And I'm glad to hear that you put Diamond Tiara in her place." Rarity said "Hopefully she'll finally learn her lesson."
"Yeah well I guess time will tell." Kari said. "Oh my it's getting late."
"You're right it is." T.K. said "Guess we'd better get washed up and go to bed."
"See you both in the morning." Rarity said. She was just about to head upstairs and slip into her silk pajams when there was a knock on the door.
She opened it and saw Spike standing there out of breath. "Urgent message from Canterlot!" he said handing Rarity a scroll.
Rarity levitated the scroll with her magic and read the message out loud.
Dear Twilight Sparkle my faithful student,
You and your friends are to come to Canterlot tomorrow. Luna and I wish to meet these so called "digidestined" and their "digimon".
Needless to say the news came as a shock to everyone.
The next morning Tai had awoken to see Twilight looking over a checklist and mubling something about not letting Celestia down.
"Is she always like this when it comes to Celestia?" Tai asked Spike.
"Yes unfournately she is." Spike said "But over time you learn to get use to it. And in all honesty she's handling it a lot better then last time."
"What happened?" Agumon asked.
"Don't ask. Just trust me you don't want to know what she did." Spike said.
"Let me guess she enchanted her smarty pants doll and had the whole town fighting over it." Tai asked.
"Actually no that was over a year ago. Her last 'episode' was a little over a month ago." Spike said.
"Oh I see that was during the 'Crystal Empire Adventure' right?" Tai asked.
"How do you know about all of this?" Spike asked.
"Well let's just say that two nights ago Twilight and I couldn't sleeep and we ended up sharing our life stories under the stars. And I think we kissed." Tai said.
"Oh is that all? Well in that case .... Wait a minute!" Spike said "You KISSED Twilight?!"
"Yes that's all we did." Tai said.
Spike gagged a little.
"What it's not like you've never seen kisses before. After all I think I remember Twilight telling me how happy you were to get a kiss from Rarity twice on your birthday." Tai said.
"O.k. you caught me." Spike said "I was really afraid you'd taken advantage of her."
"Spike I'm ashamed of you. I am a gentlemen and I would NEVER do such a thing. Honeslty what do you take me for? On second thought don't answer that." Tai said.
"Will you two knock it off you're not helping you know!" Twilight said.
"Well excuse me Princess!" Tai said sarcastically.
"Haha very funny." Twilight said "Don't forget that I could do all kinds of unspeakable horrors to you with my magic. So unless you'd like to become my latest 'test subject' I suggest you keep your mouth shut."
"O.k. o.k. sheesh." Tai said.
Tai said nothing until everyone else had assembled and Twilight had calmed down as her friends reminded her that this was a casual visit.
"So let me get this straight." Tai said "We're going to Canterlot the capitol of Equestria to meet with the rulers of this universe?"
"Pretty much." Twilight said. "What are you so worried about?"
"Didn't you say that one of them held the power to banish others to the moon?" Tai asked.
"Yes Celestia can send others to the moon and Luna the same with the sun." Twilight said "But that's only when they have no other choice. I highly doubt they'll do it you or any of your friends. Now come on we've got no time to waste. The chariots will be here any second now."
Tai felt much better after that as he and the other digidestined climbed into the chariots. There was only room for two each so needless to say Celestia and Luna had arranged for a lot of chariots.
The ride to Canterlot was largely uneventful although a few questions about why Princess Celestia and Princess Luna wished to meet with the digidestined did surface.
The chariots stopped outside Canterlot castle and the digidestined and their partner digimon followed Twilight, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash inside.
Before long they were in the center throne room which had glass windows showcasing various moments in Equestria's history where the forces of good had triumphed over evil.
"Ah welcome digidestined if that is your real name." Celestia said "Luna and I have heard good things about you since your arrival."
"Um thank you your highness." Tai said bowing before the alicorn princesses.
"Please just call us Celestia and Luna. We do not wish to be seen as above you." Luna said.
"Oh o.k." Tai said.
"Why exactly did you call us here?" Davis asked "I mean we did save Ponyvillie once but that's about it really."
"I know you did." Celestia said "But what worries me is that the threat was something only you could stop."
"Well that's because Devimon is a digimon." Izzy said.
"Yes we know." Luna said "And we are afraid that more of them might be out there waiting for the chance to strike."
"But Devimon emerged from a portal in the sky above Ponyvillie. We saw it with our naked eyes." Cody said.
"That may be but Celestia and I would like to be prepared so that in the event that any digimon should um slip past you, we can deal with them accordingly." Luna said.
"I take it that means you'd like to know more about digimon so you can be prepared." Tai said.
"Yes." Celestia said her vocie taking on a more serious tone.
"Well you'd have to ask Izzy. He's more of an expert on digimon then I am." Tai said.
"O.k. then." Luna said "We're all ears Izzy."
"Well might as well start with the basics." Izzy said "Digimon come in three types. Vaccine which is usually light, Virus which is usually dark, and Data which is usually neutral. Of course there are exceptions to the rules. Digimon also have different levels. Rookie, Champion, Ultimate, and Mega. There's also baby and in-training but chances are you won't likely see either of those two. Anyway Rookie level digimon are pretty much harmless. They can pack a punch but usally only through strength in numbers. Champin level digimon are where things start to get dangerous although msot champions can't do much beyond serious injury and even then that's mostly when there is more than one of them. Ultimate level digimon really spell trouble because they are often the biggest and baddest and can fight quite well on their own. And last but not least Mega level digimon are the worst of all, they are really strong, can fight really well on their own, and are capable of unleashing devistating attacks that can destroy anything in their path. Digimon can evolve through a process know as digivolution. It can either happen naturally or in our case it can happen when we are in danger and need our partners to protect us although by now we can pretty much trigger the digivolution on command as long as our partners have enough energy."
"And those are just the basics huh?" Celestia said.
"Yes." Izzy said "There's a lot about digmon that I could tell you about but I think the only other thing you two need to know is that digimon can never really die. They can be deleted if they sustain too much damage and are unable to heal but they'll usaully just reincarnate themselves and eventually return to their original form although that might change here since we don't know wheter or not the digimon can acess Primary Village, which is the birthplace of digimon, from here. And not all digimon are reincarnated there, some digimon like Devimon are reincarnated in an unknown place. And actually now that I think about if a digimon's data is erased for whatever reason then techincally since there is nothing left to reanimate the digimon does die. We don't know how to do that yet though."
"Well thank you for that helpful information." Luna said "Now then if there's anything you'd like to know about us feel free to ask."
"That's right." Celestia said "After all it's only fair."
"Well in that case I guess my first question is why are you the rulers of Eqeustria and yet you are called princesses?" Tai said.
"Ah a good question." Luna said.
"This all stems back to when Luna and I were unicorns. We were not born alicorns as some will have you believe, no we were born regular unicorns." Celestia said "Our parents Queen Tusaf Nerual and King Eicnal Ed Nhoj were alicorns althoguh they never told why. A few years after Luna and I were born Equestria came under threat from Discord a spirit of chaos and disharmony. He was a trickster and he made life miserable for those around him. Our parents clashed with him again and again neither side emerging victorious. Until one day when Discord challenged the both of them to a fight to the finish. Despite our begging and despite the thousands of ponies who told them they could never win our parents went out anyway. And well to make a long story short they lost."
"Before they died however due to using up all of their energy our parents chanelled what little magic they had left into creating objects that could defeat Discord." Luna continued "The magic spell they cast chanelled the greatest attributes of the six founders of Equestria into physical objects that were called the 'Elements of Harmony'. The attributes were Loyalty from Comander Hurricane who never once turned her back on those she considered her friends. Kindness from Private Pansy who always believed in non-violence and peace, and used her infulences both before and after the three tribes were united to bring the three pony species closer. Generosity from Princess Platinum who even after she became Queen Platinum upon the death of her father gave both her vast wealth and her time to those less fournate than herself. Magic from Clover the Clever the faithful student of Star Swirl the Bearded who was both the most talented unicorn other than Star Swirl himself and had always believed that friendship itself was magic. Laughter from Chancellor Puddinghead who despite being a bit scatter brained took it upon herself to make those around her happy, either by using her infulence to pass bills or to just get ponies to lighten up and enjoy life a little. And Honesty from Secretary Smart Cookie who always told the truth when it mattered even if it wasn't what other ponies wanted to hear."
"Luna and I were devistated at the loss of our parents but we promised ourselves that we wouldn't let their sacrifice be in vain." Celestia said "So Luna and I harnessed the power of the Elements of Harmony and were transformed into alicorns as a result. In our new forms as well as with the power of the elements Discord was easily defeated but we could not destroy him outrigh so instead we turned him to stone. The ponies were thrilled to hear that Discord was no more and they insisted that we become the new queens of Equestria. We refused saying that we wished to honor the loss of our parents by keeping their titles entact because we were not worthy to be on the same level as them. The ponies understood and so we became the first princesses of Equestria."
"And together the two of us took down many great evils." Luna said "Until eventually the elements were passed on to Twilight Sparkle and her friends who are the current bearers of them."
"Uh you are certain that Discord is still in his stone prison right?" Joe asked.
"Yes." Celestia said "He escaped once when Luna and I lost our connection to the elements but he was quickly sealed away again."
"Who's this Princess Cadence and why haven't we seen her around here?" T.K. asked.
"Princess Cadence is the princess of love, much like how I am the princess of the night and Celestia is the princess of the day." Luna said "She was born shortly before Celestia and I took down King Sombra. I never got to spend time with her before I became Nightmare Moon and was banished to the moon for 1,000 years. All I know is that she was born a pegasus and eventually became an alicorn. That's about all I know though. My sister knows more about Cadence then I do, don't you Tia?"
"Luna you know I hate that nickname." Celestia said in a teasing smirk before shifting her voice back to it's usual calm tone "Anyway Cadence is my adopted niece as well as Luna's although they haven't really spent much time together since Luna's return. As the princess of love Cadence can spread its magic wherever she goes as well as rekindle the sparks of love in couples who's sparks have faded with time. That being said Cadence is not a love potion and her powers are most defiantly not something to be taken lightly. Her magic can actually be quite powerful. As for why you haven't seen her yet, she is currently alongside her husband Prince Shining Armor who is Twilight's brother running the Crystal Empire and dealing with the leftovers aritfacts from Sombra's reign. If you wish to meet her feel free to write her a letter and send it to her, I'll even give you the postal address." And with that Celestia leviated a piece of paper over to the digidestined. Tai decided to hang onto it for safe keeping.
Then Twilight asked a question. "Um Princess Celestia, Princess Luna is it o.k. if my friends and I 'borrow' the Elements of Harmony for a while? I have a feeling they'll come in handy in the future."
"Of course you may Twilight." Princess Celestia said "You and your friends have saved Equestria at least four times in the past two and a quarter years as well as proved yourselves worthy of the elements on dozens of other occassions as your friendship reports can attest."
"Thanks." Twilight said.
"Not so fast." Luna said her face taking on a rather angry look "I am not as easily convinced as my sister. You and your friends may have saved Equestria and proved yourselves to be worthy bearers of the elements but even so I think perhaps you are coming to relay on them a bit too much. I know it has been a long time since you all last wielded them but even so you should know that the elements can't solve all your problems and that they have their limits too. But I will let them go on one condition. You must ensure that they are kept safe for as long as they stay in Ponyville. If they turn up missing for whatever reason YOU Twilight will be held responsible and will be punished accordingly. Do you understand?!"
"Yes Princess Luna." Twilight said.
"Good." Luna said "I take it you're okay with those terms dear sister?"
"Of course i'm okay with them, Lulu." Celestia said her voice breaking out into another playful smirk.
"Very funny Tia." Luna said. "Now then does anyone else have any questions?"
No one said anything.
"Well then you may leave." Celestia said "If you ever feel the need feel free to contact us."
"We'll keep that in mind your majesties." Gabumon said. And with that the digidestined and their partner digimon along with Twilight and her friends headed outside. And after taking a quick detour to pick up the Elements of Harmony they headed down to the train station and boarded a train back to Ponyville.
"That didn't take as long as I thought it was going to take." Tai thought to himself as the train spead towards Ponyville "But I can't shake the feeling that Celestia and Luna may know more about us then they let on. Could digimon possibly have crossed in Equestria somehow? Now I most certainly need to ask Gennai if Izzy can ever figure out a way to get us back to our universe. Or perhaps I'll ask this Princess Cadence. Also why do I get the feeling that more trouble is on the way? Ah I'm probably thinking too much."
Tai was still thinking to himself as the train pulled into the Ponyvillie station. "Why did Celestia and Luna take Izzy's word for the digimon's power levels? Surely they must have had something they could use for such an ocassion. I don't know maybe they actually DO know more about digimon then they let on."
These thoughts continued to dwell inside him even after he got off.
"First thing's first." Twilight said "We need to get back to my place and store the Elements of Harmony. Luna doesn't forgive easily and I have no intention of ending up on her bad side.
"Why can't we all just keep our respective elements at our own houses?" Rainbow Dash asked "Wouldn't that be more efficent?"
"You're kidding right?" Matt said "More than likely that would just increase the chances of losing one of those elements."
"Oh right." Rainbow Dash said "Well it seemed like a good idea at the time."
Unknown to her Matt was secretly eyeing her. He'd had his suspicions about her ever since she'd explained what pegasus ponies were capable of.
"Well no sense in just standing around here." Twilight said "I'm pretty sure that Spike and i will have no trouble bringing the elements back to the library. The rest of you can do whatever you want."
"In that case I'm going to go practice my flying skills some more." Rainbow Dash said "Think of me as our eye in the sky."
"Hey can I watch?" Biyomon asked "I want to see if perhaps I can learn how to generate a tornado like you pegasi do."
"Uh I don't think that's a very good idea." Sora said.
"Relax Sora." Biyomon said "I promise I'll be careful."
"All the same I'd better tag along." Sora said "Yolei you and Hawkmon better come too just in case Biyomon goes out of control."
"Well it's not like I had anything better to do other than hang out with Ken." Yolei said "But I suppose it wouldn't hurt to have backup. Better safe than sorry."
"I'm pretty sure I can talk Biyomon out of this." Hawkmon said "And now we'll get a chance to see just how good Rainbow Dash Really is."
"See you later Ken." Yolei said.
"Take care." Ken said.
"Why can't we go and watch Rainbow Dash as well Ken?" Wormmon asked.
"Because in the event that Biyomon does create a tornado you'd likely be blown away. Chances are Biyomon won't be able to do it though." Ken said. "And I think she'll have enough witnesses without us around."
"Oh o.k." Wormmon said "Perhaps we can get to know some of the ponies in this town on a more personal level and finally let the cat out of the bag."
Just about all of the digidestined and their parnter digimon split up after that. Most of them either heading to Fluttershy's cottage or Sugarcube Corner to hang out. A few like Kari and T.K. headed back to Carousel Boutique. Tai and Agumon were the only ones who stayed with Twilight and Spike.
"You don't have to do this you know." Twilight said, keeping the case containing the Elements of Harmony firmly in her magical grasp "You two could just find something else to do with your free time."
"We would but I figured you'd appreciate the extra protection." Tai said giving Twilight a quick peck on the cheek.
"Oh you." Twilight said sweetly, blushing a little.
"So remind me again why you asked to bring the Elements of Harmony here?" Tai asked "I mean weren't they already well protected inside that vault at Canterlot?"
"They were but I figured they might come in handy if we come across any more of your enemies." Twilight explained as she neared the Books and Brances Library. "I'll just tuck them into this secret compartment I found a while back when I was researching the mirror pond. I did tell you about that didn't I?"
"Well if you did it must have slipped my mind." Tai said.
"Oh you're not going to believe this but Pinkie Pie almost put an end to her own existence in a way." Twilight said and she began to tell Tai all about Pinkie Pie's cloning incident several weeks back.
"And in the end the proof that we had not gotten the wrong one was Pinkie Pie actually knew the location of the mirror pond. None of the clones to my knowledge knew the way by heart." Twilight said.
"That's quite a story." Tai said "I take it you weren't too hard on Pinkie Pie for that though."
"Everypony in town quickly forgave her." Twilight said "Pinkie Pie is a pony you can't stay mad at for long. No matter how annoying she is."
"And the entrance to this so called mirror pond is sealed right?" Tai asked "Because I don't think Equestira needs another me or another digidestined."
"Yes of course." Twilight said. She was just about to tuck the elements away for safe keeping when her friends barged in.
"That violet portal's reappeared in the sky!" Rainbow Dash said.
"And my tail is twitching!" Pinkie Pie said "And yes Kari's crest is glowing!"
"Well then we've got no time to waste!" Twilight said using her magic to open the case containing the Elements of Harmony and tossing them to her friends. "O.k. everypony has their correct element right?"
"Yep." replied her friends.
"Good!" Twilight said "Now come on we've got to be ready to help the digidestined deal with whatever comes out of that portal!"
"Here it comes!" Davis shouted. A second later an object shot out of the portal and crash landed in the center of town.
The digidestined and their partner digimon alongside the Elements of Harmony bearers made their way over to that location only to find that a cloud of smoke blocked their vision just like last time.
"Who or what are we up against this time?" Matt asked.
The question was answered a moment later when a voice said in a southern accent that even Applejack found chessy "Oh yeah! Ladies and Gentlemons! Put your hands together and give it up for the king of rock and roll! METALETEMON!"
"Oh great!" Tai said "Now we have to deal with THIS bozo! Here we go again!"
The smoke cleared and there stood a monkey with a gleaming metal coat, sunglasses covering his face, and a not so cuddly teddy bear tucked onto one side. And in his hand he was holding a microphone.
"So MetalEtemon." Davis said "I take it you don't know me right?"
"Sonny boy you are WRONG!" MetalEtemon bellowed "Thanks to the evil forces that brought me back I'm up to speed on all the adventures you've had since our last meeting digidestined."
"Let's hurry up and take him down before I start pulling out my hair listening to this guy's big mouth!" Tai said "Ready Matt?!"
"Ready to rock and roll!" Matt said as he and Tai pulled out their digivices.

"Watch out guys!" Tai shouted but it was too late. WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon came charging towards each other ready to merge into Omnimon and slipped on the banana peels that MetalEtemon had just thrown onto the ground. They crashed into each other and the merge was cancelled out.

"What the hell did you do that for?!" Tai asked "That was uncalled for!"
"What is this hell you speak of?" Twilight asked "Do you mean tartarus?"
"Tartarus? That's the Greek underworld." Izzy said "And no he doesn't mean that."
"Then what does he mean?" Twilight asked.
"Trust me when I say you don't want to know." Izzy said.
"Hey MetalEtemon answer my question!" Tai said "Why did you throw banana peels at WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon when they were about to merge?!"
"Sonny boy fusion is something that just ain't right. Now before this fight continues allow me to lay down somes rules or actually just one rule. No fusions allowed." MetalEtemon said.
"And why should we agree to your rule?!" Tai asked.
"Fine you don't have to agree to my rule. I'll just go take my skills somewhere where they'll be more appreciated like oh shall we say town hall? I'm sure the mayor won't mind if I use it to stage my comeback tour." MetalEtemon said.
"O.k. fine we'll play by your rule!" Tai said "But we won't like it!"
"I never said you had to son." MetalEtemon said.
"So what's our plan now?" Matt asked.
"I'm not sure. Joe you and Mimi were up against MetalEtemon once right?" Tai said.
"Yes." Joe said "And I seem to remember he had one weakness. His whole body is made up of chrome digizoid."
"Joe are you joking because if so that joke sucks." Tai said "WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon are also made up of chrome digizoid and you've seen how hard it is for the two of them to take on damage. That seems like more of a strength then a weakness."
"But you didn't let me finish." Joe said "Chrome digizoid is vulnerable to anything that is made from it. Last time Zudomon's hammer was able to put a big enough dent into MetalEtemon's armor that SaberLeomon was able to take him down. The only problem this time is that Zudomon is pretty slow and it will take some for him to get close enough to MetalEtemon to score a hit. If you use WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon's attacks to pound away at his armor you should be able to get some openings. That's when you hit him hard and fast. Just keep pounding away until he starts showing signs of fatigue and then bam! Zudomon will give that monkey a taste of hammer time and that should give you an opening to deliver the final blow."
"That sounds like a good plan. It might take some time and a lot of effort but I think we call pull it off." Tai said "But let's take a vote shall we? All those in favor of Joe's plan say aye."
"Aye!" replied all the digidestined.
"Well then let's go to work." Tai said "Hey WarGreymon, Metal Garurumon can you guys still fight?"
"Yes." They replied.
"Glad to hear that." Tai said. "O.k. everyone let's get this show on the road shall we?"
All the digidestined except for Tai, Matt, and Kari held up their digivices.

"Wow that was some lights show." Pinkie Pie said "Do it again, do it again!"
"Maybe some other time Pinkie Pie." Sora said "We've gotta take care of this guy first."
"O.k. WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon take it away!" Tai said.
"Great Tornado!" WarGreymon said, tucking his arms in and spining really fast. The attack struck MetalEtemon square in the chest leaving a slight gash mark on the armor. This was MetalGarurumon's cue.
"Ice Wolf BIte!" Metal Garurumon said launching all the missiles he had body straight at MetalEtemon. Eveyr one of them hit its mark.
"Now it's my turn!" MetalEtemon said "Metal Punch!" His hand was clenched into a fist and he launched it at WarGreymon who barely managed to dodge it.
"Whoa! That was way too close!" he said.
The barrage of attacks from the Megas continued for a while and MetalEtemon managed to land quite a few punches on both WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon. Their armor quickly took a beating.
"O.k. I think we've got some openings." Tai said "Now's our chance."
"Meteor Wing!" Birdramon said. Fire balsl shout out of her wing and hit MetalEtemon in the places where he had already been struck by WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon.
"Electro-Shocker!" Kabuterimon said. He shot a gaint eletrical ball at MetalEtemon.
"Needle Spray!" Togemon said. All of the needles on her body were launched into the air and turned into projectiles that struck MetalEtemon.
"Harpoon Torpedo!" Ikkakumon said. He fired his horn on the tip of his head as if it were a rocket and aimed it straight at MetalEtemon.
"Hand of Faith!" Angemon said. His entire fist became golden and he made a punching motion with it. A golden beam shot out from his fist and struck MetalEtemon.
"Vee Laser!" ExVeemon said. The x on his chest began to glow and then a beam in the shape of an x shot out from it and hit MetalEtemon.
"Cat's Eye Hypontizim!" Gatomon said. Her eyes began to glow. MetalEtemon was stunned. "O.k. now's the chance for the rest of you guys to hit him where it hurts." she said.
"Grand Horn!" Aquilamon said. The wings on his head glowed a bright red and he flew straight into MetalEtemon. He scored a direct hit.
"Tail Hammer!" Ankylomon said striking MetalEtemon square in the chest with his spiked tail.
"Spiking Strike!" Stingmon said. A gaint purple barb appeared on his hand. He flew straight at MetalEtemon and stabed him with the barb and then retreated.
MetalEtemon recovered from his stunned state and threw a bunch of Metal Punches. A few of them missed but most of them were too fast for their targets to dodge.
"He's still going." Tai said "I don't think we've done enough damage. Alright play time's over, let's kick things up a notch!"

"Hey I thought you said you weren't going to do that again?" Pinkie Pie said.
"I said maybe later." Sora said "And well it is later."
"Oh I get it." Pinkie Pie said.
"Let him have it guys!" Tai shouted "Don't hold anything back! It's all or nothing!"
"Phoneix Claw!" Garudamon said. Slashing at MetelEtemon with a red hot claw. "Too hot for you to handle?" Garudamon teased.
"Hardly." Metal Etemon said as he launched another Metal Punch. Garudamon almost succeded in dodging the punch but it was too fast for her and it struck her on her right wing.
"Horn Buster!" MegaKabuterimon said as he unleashed a powerful electric blast from his horn. The blast struck Etemon from behind yet he didn't seem to do much other then let the attack hit him.
"That was a real shocker!" MetalEtemon said "But you'll have to do better then that!"
"Flower Cannon!" Lillymon said as she fired a powerful blast from her cannon. MetalEtemon flinched just a little but he held his ground.
"Is that the best you can do?!" He said teasingly.
"Celestial Arrow!" Angewomon said pulling out her bow and charing a powerful arrow of light which she then shot at MetalEtemon.
"That tickles, na just kidding that actually hurt!" MetalEtemon said as he threw some more Metal Punches taking down MegaKabuterimon, Lillymon, and Angewomon.
"Angel Rod!" MagnaAngemon said as he charged up to MetalEtemon and slashed him with his rod. MetalEtemon winced a little. "Had enough?!" MagnaAngemon said.
"Nope." MetalEtemon said as he launched a Metal Punch directly at MagnaAngemon's face. MagnaAngemon went flying backward and crashed into the rest of the downed Ultimates.
While all this was going on Zudomon had been slowly sneaking up on MetalEtemon waiting for the right moment to swing his vulcan hammer and allow for WarGreymon to finish off MetalEtemon. He was almost within striking distance when MetalEtemon turned around and spotted him.
"You probably thought I'd forgotten about you huh Zudomon? I'm not a fool I know all too well what your hammer can do to me and I'm not just going to sit back and let you hit me. So here have a Metal Punch on the house."
Zudomon tucked his head into his gaint shell and let it absorb the attack. Unfournately as soon he was thought he was safe he poked his head out again and was sent flying back courtesy of a Metal Punch from MetalEtemon.
"Urgh this is ridiculous!" Tai said "We can't get close to him without getting pounded and he doesn't look like he's tired out yet. Look he's taking on all the Champions now."
"You're all no match for me!' MetalEtemon said "Now how about some kunckle sandwiches from my old friend the Metal Punch?!"
All the Champions tried to flee but the Metal Punches caught up to them and hit them head on. They all tumbled to the ground.
"You disappoint me digidestined!" MetalEtemon said "I was told you were tough but I guess I was wrong!"
"Now what are we suppose to do?!" Davis asked "This ape's making a monkey out of us!"
"I have an idea." Twilight said "In case you've forgotten my friends and are wearing the Elements of Harmony."
"And your point is?" Ken asked.
"My point is that we can blast MetalEtemon with them at full power." Twilight said.
"And you think that will be enough to defeat him?" Joe asked.
"Actually no." Twilight said "We know the elements don't have enough power to defeat MetalEtemon, they are not weapons of mass destruction for us to use as we please. They have their limits. But we can use them to keep MetalEtemon busy so Zudomon can hit him with the vulcan hammer."
"Sounds like a good idea to me." Tai said.
"Well there is one problem." Twilight said "The elements do take time to charge so we're going to need a distraction that will keep MetalEtemon busy."
"And how are we going to do that?' Tai asked "We've only got two Megas and a bunch of beaten down Ulitmates and Champions. I don't know if our digimon can take that kind of abuse."
"But then the plan won't work." Twilight said "MetalEtemon is sure to catch on to my friends and I and if he hits us while we're powering up we'll be sitting ducks."
"I know something that should keep him busy." Rainbow Dash said "I can wip up a tornado."
"And let me guess Biyomon tried to pull one of earlier and she couldn't do it?" Tai asked.
"Lucky guess." Rainbow Dash said "Anyway as I was saying I can create a tornado with my wing power. Considering that he's made up of metal I doubt the tornado will be able to lift him off the ground. But he'll be disoriented and by the time the tornado dies down the elements will be fully charged."
"But how do we know you won't lose control of your tornado?" Matt asked.
"You'll just have to trust me." Rainbow Dash said.
"How can we trust you?!" Matt asked "If your tornado goes out of control it could get us all killed and I don't wish to become the first living being to be killed by a pegasus created tornado!"
"You wouldn't actually be the first ones." Rainbow Dash said "There's an urban legend about a pegasus that died after he stopped a tornado that he created. The story is suppose to teach all pegasus ponies to be careful when creating thier tornados."
"Wait a minute you Lied to us?!" Izzy asked.
"Yes I did." Rainbow Dash said.
"Rainbow Dash how dare you! Didn't I tell you that lying only gets you into trouble?!" Applejack said
"Look I know you're all probably mad at me but I had to lie." Rainbow Dash said "I didn't want you guys to start fearing me. I've created lots of tornados in the past and I've never once lost control."
"Well why didn't you say that in the first place?!" Matt asked.
"I guess it slipped my mind." Rainbow Dash said "But I really need you guys to trust me on this. As Celestia as my witness I know what I'm doing."
"So Celestia is not only your ruler but she's your god?" Izzy asked.
"I'll explain later." Rainbow Dash as she flew into the sky "For now I've got to cocentrate."
Rainbow Dash starting spining around and around. Soon she had a powerful tornado going. She wasted no time in steering it straight into MetalEtemon. Just as Rainbow Dash had predicated MetalEtemon was too heavy to be lifted off the ground.
"Fool that will never work!" MetalEtemon said "This tornado can't hold me forever!"
"Now's our only chance!" Rainbow Dash said as she flew down to join the others "We must power up the Elements of Harmony and blast MetalEtemon with them!"
"Right let's do this!" Twilight said "Take your positions girls!"
Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy took to the air as Applejack and Pinkie Pie took up positions to the left and the right of Twilight. Rarity stood behind Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy creating a circle of sorts among the six friends.
One by one their respecitve elements started to glow in this order, Honesty, Laughter, Generosity, Kindness, Loyalty, and finally Magic.
The six friends were lifted into the air as a bliding white auroa began to surrond them. There was a sound almost like a lazer charging up. Then suddenly a rainbow colored beam shot out from the white auroa and hit MetalEtemon who had just now managed to escape from the tornado.
"What the?!" MetalEtemon said. The rest of his sentence was cut off as the rainbow beam wrapped around him and starting spining. Before long it had engulfed him completly.
The light was too bright for any of the digidestined to see but if they coud have seen they would have seen Twilight's eyes light up and flash. Without warning the entire area became intensly bright. The digidestined shut their eyes.
When the light faded Twilight and her friends were back on the ground. MetalEtemon was still standing but looked quite shaken up.
"Did you honestly think that would work?!" MetalEtemon said.
"No but this will!" Zudomon said having successfully gotten close enough to MetalEtemon "Vulcan Hammer!" He swung his hammer and hit MetalEtemon right in the chest. MetalEtemon's armor began to crack wide open. "Now's your chance WarGreymon!" Zudomon called.
"Terra Force!" War Greymon said as he gathered up energy into a gaint ball and then hurled it at MetalEtemon. "This concert has been cancelled!"
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" MetalEtemon said as the blast hit him. After a brief expolosion he was still standing but his body was begining to delete.
"Don't think you've seen the last of me and don't think you've won yet you little brats!" MetalEtemon said "You may have beat me but I promise you that there are more evil forces just waiting to emerge that will really give you a run for your money. Oh if only I could stick around to watch them pound you into the dust and wipe those smiles right off your faces!"
MetalEtemon was silent until just before his face deleted "Ladies and Gentlemon's MetalEtemon has left the building!"
Like with Devimon MetalEtemon's data swirled upward into the violet portal which then sealed itself shut.
"Boy I am glad that's over with." Tai said "I was getting tired of listening to that guy belly aching."
"And his singing is horrible." Mimi said "Honestly he sounds like a bad Elvis impersonator."
The digidestined and their partner digimon which had now reverted to their rookie stage. Except for Gatomon who was a champion started laughing.
"Who's Elvis?" Rainbow Dash asked?
"I don't know!" Pinkie Pie said "Honestly I don't. No one ever said anything about him."
"Well duh of course no one's said anything about him." Rainbow Dash said "Because no one knows about him."
She wasn't aware that Pinkie Pie was nervously looking away and she didn't hear Pinkie Pie muble to herself "Seriously who is this Elvis guy? Is he some sort of celebrity? Come on throw me a hint or two!"
"Where are you taking me Twilight?" Tai asked next morning. The purple unicorn had told Tai that she was taking him someplace special.
"That's my little secret." Twilight said "And if I told you well then it wouldn't be a secret now would it?"
"You do bring up a good point but why exactly are you doing this?" Tai asked.
"I think you could use some 'thearpy' after the fight against MetalEtemon." Twilight said.
"What are you talking about?" Tai asked "I'm perfectly sane."
"I don't mean that kind of thearpy." Twilight said "You'd likely give any thearpist a headache."
"Well you're no shining example either you know." Tai said "Or did you forget the whole smarty pants incident?"
"Don't remind me." Twilight said, a hint of anger in her voice.
"Oh sorry did I touch a nerve?" Tai asked sympathetically.
"Yes you did." Twilight said a hint of anger in her voice.
"It's not like I think any less of you because of that." Tai said "You said it was because of the tramua that Discord guy inflicted upon you. In all honesty he sounds like he could drive just about anyone insane."
"Yeah well lucky for you last time I checked Discord is still trapped in stone. Though I can't help but get the funny feeling that Celestia's planing something with him." Twilight said.
"I know." Tai said "He sounds worse than anything my friends and I have ever gone up against and that's saying something. Speaking of which I can't help but think that there's a conection between the return of Devimon and MetalEtemon. Both of them emerged from the same gaint violet portal that brought us to Equestria. Both of them were much stronger then they were last time. And both of them upon being defeated went back into said portal which then mysteriously seals itself shut."
"Don't forget that both times were preceeded by Pinkie Pie's tail twitching." Twilight said.
"Oh yes that." Tai said "I just get this funny feeling that the answer is right under my nose. But I can't figure out for the life of me why that is."
"Well Izzy and I are trying to figure it out as we speak." Twilight said "If we do find anything you'll be the first to know."
"You still haven't explained what you mean by thearpy." Tai said.
"You're asking a lot of questions today Tai." Agumon said.
"What can I say I've got a lot on my mind." Tai said.
"Well hopefully this thearpy will help you take your mind off of things for a while." Twilight said "Speaking of which here we are."
Tai looked up. The building standing before him was another house built inside of a tree almost like Twilight's house the Books and Branches Library. But for some reason it seemed to be different, as if though it were the exact opposite of Twilight's place.
"Who lives here Twilight?" he asked.
"A friend of Pinkie Pie's." Twilight said "I have a feeling you two will get along just fine."
Tai's thoughts were interupted as Twilight knocked on the door.
The door was answered by a white unicorn mare with a cobalt blue mane and tail. She had purple googles that were hanging just above her magenta eyes.
"Oh hello Twilight." the mare answered "I see you've brought your new coltfriend Tai."
"Uh don't you mean boyfriend?" Tai asked.
"Boyfriend, coltfriend, same thing." the mare replied. "And I see you've brought your friend Agumon along."
"You mean you know about digimon?" Tai asked.
"Of course I do. Heck of all Equestria knows by now." the mare said.
"But how?" Tai asked.
"Well you guys have already saved this town twice already." the mare said "And the princesses issued a statement about them yesterday. Man are you out of the loop."
"Well I guess since the secret is finally out there's no harm in letting Agumon introduce himself." Tai said.
"Of course there's no harm." the mare said "Oh silly me almost forgot to introduce myself. The name's Scratch, Vinyl Scratch but most ponies know me as DJ-PON-3 the most kick flank DJ in all of Equestria!"
"Nice to meet you Vinyl Scratch. You already know who I am. I'm Tai Kamiya." Tai said.
"And I'm his loyal partner Agumon." Agumon said.
"Well now that we've all been introduced why don't you two come inside I've got a lot to show you. Twilight tells you me two could use a break." Vinyl Scratch said.
"Is this the kind of thearpy you were talking about Twilight?" Tai asked.
Twilight nodded.
"Twilight I appreciate your concern but after the fight with MetalEtemon I'd rather not be anywhere near music." Tai said.
"But music is all around you. You can't escape it forever." Twilight said.
"I'm not trying to escape it forever." Tai said "I just don't want to be anywhere near it so soon after fighting MetalEtemon. Given a day or two my intrest in music will return." Tai said.
"Well I'm afraid that's too long for my tastes." Twilight said "So I'm going to have Vinyl Scratch give you some musical thearpy and she won't take no for an answer."
"O.k. fine if it will make you happy I'll give this so called 'musical therapy' a try." Tai said "But don't be too surprised if I still don't want to be anywhere near music after this."
"We'll just see about that." Twilight said "I'm sure you'll thank me for this later. Now then I really must be going. Spike can't run the library on his own. See you in a few hours." And with that Twilight was gone.
"Well not sense standing around out here." Vinyl Scratch "Let's go inside."
Tai and Agumon followed Vinyl Scratch inside and what they saw amazed them. They had been expecting the inside to look like some sort of club with punk rock blasting out of speakers. Instead it was just your average home, nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
"Not what you expected huh?" Vinyl Scratch asked "Well you see the thing is I'm not the only pony living in this house."
"So you have a roommate?" Agumon asked.
"Well sort of." Vinyl Scratch said a slight blush forming on her cheeks.
"What do you mean sort of?" Tai asked.
Before Vinyl Scratch could reply a loud groan split the air. "Confound this blasted dubstep dishwasher!" said a prim and proper yet obviously annoyed voice.
"What was that?!" Agumon asked.
"You'll see soon enough." Vinyl Scratch said. "Come on let's go into the kitchen there's someone I'd like you two to meet."
Tai and Agumon followed Vinyl Scratch into the kitchen where they saw a very unusual dishwasher. It almost looked like a gaint speaker. Standing close by it was a grey earth pony mare with a black mane and tail, she had a bowtie around her neck, and she had purple eyes. She seemed to be a bit disoriented.
"Vinyl how do you make that Dubstep Dishwasher of your's work? Every time I try to use it blasts me with some high powered dubstep music."
"It just takes a magical touch." Vinyl Scratch said. "Now then Tavi we have vistors."
"Oh we do where?" the earth pony mare asked.
"Right here." Tai said "My name is Tai and this is my partner Agumon."
"Who are you?" Agumon asked.
"I'm Octavia although Vinyl seems to like calling Tavi for some reason. I'm a highly renowned cello player. And Vinyl Scratch's mare friend and roommate." the earth pony mare said in a prim and proper voice.
"So you two are lezbians?" Tai asked.
"If by lezbians you mean fillyfoolers then yes." Vinyl Scratch said.
"Tai what are lezbians?" Agumon asked.
"I'll tell you some other time o.k." Tai said.
"O.k. I guess." Agumon said.
"So you're one of the famous digidestined huh?" Octavia asked "Well I'm honored to meet you. But why exactly are you two here?"
"Twilight brought them here for some musical therapy." Vinyl Scratch said.
"You mean as in THE Twilight Sparkle? The student of Princess Celestia?" Octavia said.
"Yep." Vinyl Scratch said.
"Well I'm always happy to help." Octavia said. "Shall we begin?"
"First I have one question." Tai said "What is that thing?"
"Oh that." Vinyl Scratch said "Well that's my patent pending Dubstep Dishwasher. It cleans the dishes with the power of wubs. It's really cool."
"And a tad bit annoying." Octavia said "But after a while you get use to it. Although I still have yet to figure how to make it work for me."
"Would you like to see it in action?" Vinyl Scratch asked.
"I guess so." Tai said.
"Well then prepare to have your mind blown!" Vinyl Scratch said. She did a little bit of fidling and then the Dubstep Dishwasher roared to life.
About three minutes later the demonstration was over.
"That, was, AWESOME!" Tai said.
"I've never seen anything like that before." Agumon said.
"I knew you'd like it." Vinyl Scratch said. "But a word of advice this Dubstep Dishwasher is not a toy! So don't be trying to play around with it understand?!"
"Yes ma'am." Tai and Agumon said.
"Alright now then I've got something else that I think you're going to like." Vinyl Scratch said "Follow me."
Tai and Agumon as well as Octavia followed Vinyl Scratch as she led to a rather unusual room. This room was darker than the others and was entirely soundproof.
"In case you're wondering why this room is so different it's because this is where Vinyl often likes to practice. So we took the liberty of making this room soundproof so she can crank up ther volume as much as she wants without the neighbors complaining." Octavia said.
"It's also where I keep my pride and joy!" Vinyl Scratch said "And I know you're going to love it! Now let me see where did I leave it?" The DJ pony fumbled around for a little bit. "Ah here we go." she said wheeling out a strange object.
"And what pray tell is that?" Tai asked.
"Ah it's nothing special it's just MY BASS CANNON!" Vinyl Scratch said as she pressed a button. Suddenly the object opened up and a powerful wave of sound shout out from it, striking a nearby wall. "Pretty cool huh?" Vinyl Scratch asked.
"So was that cool or what?" Vinyl Scratch asked a few minutes later.
"That was so cool I can't even begin to describe it." Tai said "And you know I think this thearpy is working already."
"Well we're just getting started." Vinyl Scratch said "Now I think it's time for Octavia to show off her skills, right Tavi?"
"Oh Vinyl." Octavia said.
Several hours later Tai, Agumon, Octavia, and Vinyl Scratch were enjoying dinner. Vinyl was telling them about the time she and Octavia got stranded on a desserted island. Dinner wasn't anything special, just some sandwiches but for Tai and Agumon they were the best things they'd ever eaten.
"Boy these are good." Tai said "I never knew you could cook so well Vinyl Scratch."
"Aw this is nothing." Vinyl Scratch said "You should see Octavia cooking she's amazing!"
"Oh Vinyl you're such a flatterer." Octavia said.
Just as Tai and Agumon were finishing their plates and placing them in the Dubstep Dishwasher there was a knock at the door.
"I have a pretty good feeling I know who that is." Tai said as he went over to answer it. Sure enough he was right. There stood Twilight.
"Well how did it go?" Twilight asked.
"Awful." Tai said.
"Oh." Twilight said.
"Awfully amazing that is." Tai said. "Ha you should've seen the look on your face."
"There's the Tai I know and love." Twilight said "Glad to see you're back."
"I'm glad too Twilight." Tai said as he and Twilight shared a hug "And hopefully I'm back for good."
"Ah isn't that romantic Tavi?" Vinyl Scratch asked. She and Octavia were watching from the hallway.
Tai was glad when the day was over, he had not appreciated explaning to Agumon about lezbians and homosexuals. It wasn't anything he was really opposed to but it just struck him as odd. Back on Earth he could remember that such topics were rarely touched upon.
He awoke next morning to find Twilight packing her saddle bags. "What are you doing Twilight?" he asked.
"I'm going to see Zecora. She insisted that I bring her some very important ingredients for her latest brew. And I'd like it very much if you and Agumon came along." Twilight explained.
"Why do you want us to come and who is this Zecora?" Tai asked.
"I'll explain on the way now come on." Twilight said.
"But what about the library?" Tai asked "Yesterday you said Spike couldn't run it on his own."
"The library isn't open yet." Twilight said "As a matter of fact it doesn't open for about two more hours."
"Oh I see." Tai said as he, Twilight, and Agumon made their way out the door.
"So about this Zecora" Tai asked.
"First off one thing you should know is that Zecora is a zebra. She lives in the Everfree Forest in a little hut. It's not too far from the forest entrance but it's still quite a journey. She is kind of like a second mentor to me, she teaches me about natural magic. She also has a very keen knowledge of just about everything in the Everfree Forest including which plants are safe and how to counter the effects of those that aren't." Twilight said.
"Didn't you say that the Everfree Forest is a lot like our world?" Tai asked.
"Yep." Twilight said "Unlike in Ponyvillie or anywhere else in Equestria, the plants grow, the clouds move, and the animals take care of themselves without any outside help."
"That certianly sounds like Earth alright." Tai said.
"Well the Everfree Forest is actually best known for all the dangerous creatures that lurk within it." Twilight said "That's why I asked you to come along. Everypony knows the Everfree Forest is not a place you go into on your own unless you have a death wish. I've made that mistake once and well let's just say I had a lot of time to think about how stupid I was."
"What kind of creatures lurk in the Everfree Forest?" Agumon asked as as he, Tai, and Twilight passed by Fluttershy's cottage and made their way towards the entrance of the Everfree Forest.
"There are a lot actually." Twilight said "First there are parasprites, tiny little insects with huge appetites. They'll eat anything and they reproduce by spiting hairballs out from their mouths which then turn into more parasprites. They bread like crazy. A swarm of them almost devoured Ponyvillie once. Luckly Pinkie Pie as turns out knew their one weakness, music and was able to lure them away. Unfournately by that point the damage had already done and it took weeks to fully repair Ponyville."
"Those don't sound very dangerous." Tai said "As long you don't feed them."
"Well those don't even tip the scales in comparison to manticores." Twilight said "One of them attacked my friends and I once. As it turns out it merely had a thorn stuck in it's paw but even so it was incredilby vicious and attacked without mercy. Then there are cocktrices, creatures with the body of a snake and the head of a chicken. One glare from their red eyes and you turn to stone. I had a personal experience with them once and if it weren't Fluttershy I probably wouldn't be here to tell you about it. Next are the fearsome creatures known as the timberwolves. They are made of enchanted wood that can't be burned or chopped. They can be smashed but if they are not properly dealt with they can come back and even merge into a gaint timberwolf king. As it turns out Applejack's Granny Smith discovered that the loud noise caused by banging pots and pans is enough to scare them away and she says that said method works better. Oh and one more thing timberwolves are very territorial and will attack anything them consider to be invading their turf. There are also phoneixs which are very dangerous because of their tricksiter like nature, and because when they are angry there's no stoping them. Lastly there are dragons and those creatures are perhaps the most dangerous because they have no known weaknesses."
"Wow I never knew there were so many dangerous creatures living so close to Ponyville." Tai said.
"Yes well luckly none of those creatures have ever wandered into Ponyville to my knowledge. They seem content to stay in the Everfree Forest." Twilight said "Speaking of which here's the entrance. Now remember stay close to me and don't wander off. Apple Bloom did once and for months afterward she kept muttering something about a cursed village full of zombie ponies.'
"Don't worry I won't wander off." Tai said "I'm not a fan of becoming lunch for some other creature. Agumon I hope you aren't getting ideas about picking fights, we are suppose to protect life not destroy it!"
"Oh relax Tai." Agumon said "I wouldn't dare do something that stupid."
"Well then let's press on." Twilight said "Oh and word of advice don't touch or step in any blue flowers. Those flowers are called 'Posion Joke'. My friends and I had a nasty encounter with them once and it messed us up really good. And the only cure is an herbal bath which only Zecora knows how to make."
The journey to Zecora's passed largely in silence although Twilight did take the time to explain to Tai how she had met Zecora and of the numerous occasions that the zebra had helped them out of a jam. She also explained to Tai that Zecora always spoke in rhyme.
"Here we are." Twilight said. She knocked on the door of the hut. "Hello Zecora it's me Twilight. I've brought those ingredients you asked for and I've brought Tai and Agumon of the digidestined with me."
The door was answered by a zebra with golden earings and what looked like a cutie mark. "Ah hello Twilight you came with great speed. Now please come in, you have what I need." Zecora said "And as for you two you may come in as well. Feel free to relax and sit down for a spell."
Tai and Agumon were impressed by what they saw. There were all sorts of jugs stacked neatly on shelves as well as all sorts of artifacts that reminded Tai of acient African cultures from his history classes.
Twilight leviated her saddle bags off of her shoulders and using her magic opened them and gave everything inside of them to Zecora.
"So Zecora I was wondering if you might know anything that could help the digidestined out." Twilight said "You see they and their parnters which they call digimon came to Equestria from another universe. It was the result of a spell I was working on. They have no way of contacting their universe or their home world they call Earth which I've heard is a lot like the Everfree Forest. Twice now they have had to face off against evil digimon which have emerged from a mysterious violet portal just like the one that brought them here. But once they defeat the evil digimon the data of said evil digimon goes back into the portal which then closes and disappears."
Zecora was silent for a moment, a look of what seemed to be mild confusion on her face. Then after checking on her brew to make sure that it was not in danger of exploding she turned to Twilight and said "Twilight my new pupil there is not much I can really do. The answer to a such problem will have to come from you. I do not know what it was that you did to bring them here. Therefore I cannot help you send them back I fear. But I encourage you not to give up right on the spot. So if you'll excuse my language get up off your plot. The answer I feel will come very soon. But I've kept you long enough it is almost high noon."
"So there's nothing you can do huh?" Twilight asked. Zecora merely shook her head. "Well thanks anyway." Twilight said "Today is our anual get together and since it was Applejack's turn to pick she decided to hold at one of the restaurants in town."
"Goodbye Zecora it was nice meeting you." Tai said.
The journey out of the Everfree forest also passed in silence expect this time Twilight didn't try to break the silence.
"I guess she was hoping Zecora would be able to help her out." Tai thought to himself "I've got to find a way to cheer her up like she did with me after the fight against MetalEtemon." He looked around and spotted a bunch of intresting looking flowers. After making sure they weren't blue he picked them up and handed them to Twilight. "Hey I saw these and thought of you." he said. "I know you must be upest that one of your mentors couldn't help you out but you heard what she said the answer will come very soon."
"Thanks Tai." Twilight said "I guess I was just hoping that Zecora might know something I don't."
"Well at least now no one can blame you for trying." Tai said.
"If only he knew why I've been having such a hard time figuring this spell out." Twilight thought to herself "Should I tell him that I used dark magic to create that portal? Would he look at me like I'm some sort of freak?"
"Hey look!" Tai said pointing up at the sky.
Twilight did so and was shocked at what she saw. It was the same violet portal that had brought Devimon and MetalEtemon to Equestria. She knew that more than likely whatever was inside that portal was likely going to crash land in the center of town again.
Sure enough something shot out of the portal or rather somethings. "That's odd." Twilight said "The last two times there's been only one object emerges from this portal."
"Never mind that!" Tai said "We've got to hurry to the center of town before those evil digimon start the fight without me! The digidestined are pretty skilled but I've been in battle with them long enough to know they'll crumble without my leadership!"
"But Tai we'll never make it in time!" Agumon said.
"On foot and hoof maybe!" Twilight said.
"What do you mean?!" Tai asked.
"There isn't time to explain!" Twilight said "Just stay close to me!"
Before Tai could ask why he saw Twilight's horn light up. Then suddenly there was a bright purple flash of light and Tai, Twilight, and Agumon were standing in the center of town.
"What was that?" Tai asked.
"Teleportation." Twilight said "It's a higher level type of magic so a lot of unicorns have trouble pulling it off."
"Just warn me next time you decide to do that." Tai said "Uh-oh, LOOK OUT BELOW!"
Just as Tai finished saying that the two objects hit the ground. The impact generating another cloud of smoke.
"Oh Tai thank goodness you're here." Izzy said "We were afraid you wouldn't show up. How did you and Agumon get here anyway?"
"Magic of course." Tai said. "There's no time to argue. We've got two threats to deal with this time so we'd better be prepared for trouble."
"Did someone say trouble?" a female voice asked.
"Well you might as well make that double." a male voice replied.
"Why do I get the feeling that I've heard something like that before?" Tai asked.
"That's because you've got two enemies on your hands this time." the female voice said.
"After all two can play at the teamwork game." the male voice chimed in.
"It can't be!" Ken said.
"Oh but it can." both the male and the female voice said as the smoke cleared. There stood what appeared to be two humans. One was a woman with a red coat and light blue hair. She had dark shades and a purple hat as well as purple gloves and boots. The other was a man with a blue coat. He had gray gloves and boots with yellow dots on his coat and wristband. He had what looked like a cane in his left hand.
"Arukenimon and Mummymon!" Kari said "How are you two stil alive you were destroyed by MaloMyotismon, we saw him rip you both to shreads before our very eyes."
"That portal in the sky of course." Arukenimon said.
"And of course since we can't get our revenge on MaloMyotismon for killing us once before we decided we'd go after those who ulitmately caused all of our suffering in the first place." Mummymon said "And that's you!"
"Twilight you'd better go round up your friends." Tai said "We might need the Elements of Harmony again."
"Actually I don't know if the Elements can hit more than one target." Twilight said "I'd say that a fully charged blast from them has only a 40.1% chance of actually working. And if the elements aren't fully charged then that chance drops to less than 20%."
"Well can't you try anyway?" Tai asked "It worked once before."
"But it only worked because we had one target." Twilgiht said.
"Guess there's no way to convince you huh?" Tai said. Twilight shook her head "Very well then" Tai said with a sigh "You'd better get to safety and make sure everypony stays away from here."
Twilight left quickly. She was no fool.
"We may not have the Elements of Harmony but we can still take you clowns down." Tai said.
"Oh really?" Arukenimon said "You forget that we're capable of shapeshifting between these forms here and our digimon forms."
"So you'd better bring your A game or else you won't last a minute against us." Mummymon said as he and Arukenimon began to change. Arukenimon turned into a gaint spider and Mummymon into you guessed it a mummy, but he was armed with a powerful gun and the digidestined knew first hand how powerful it was. Having been on the recieving end of it many times
"Alright guys we'd better be careful." Tai said "We'll have to divide and conquer as best we can. Are you all ready?"
"Yeah!" replied the digidestined.
"Then let's go to work!" Tai said. He and the other digidestined held up their digivices.

"O.k. here's the plan." Tai said "I'll lead group one which consists of me, Izzy, Joe, Cody, Davis, and Ken, and we'll take on Mummymon. Matt you'll lead group two which consists of you, Sora, Mimi, Yolei, Kari, and T.K., and you'll take on Arukenimon. After a while we'll mix it up a little and alternate back and forth between the two of them. Once they're worn down we'll bump up to Ultimate and unleash Paildramon. That should be enough to stop them."
"Sounds like a really good plan actually." Izzy said.
"Then what the hell are we waiting for?' Davis said, the slip of the tongue was because he was getting pumped up "Let's take em down already!"
"With pleasure." Tai said "Group one follow me! And remember the key to success is teamwork.'
The digidestined split into their designed groups and went after their intended targets. At first the plan worked really well, the digidestined succeeded in keeping Arukenimon and Mummymon seperated. But eventually despite their best efforts Arukenimon and Mummymon joined together. This quickly turned the tide for alone Arukenimon and Mummymon were fairly weak but together they were able to cover each other's weaknesses and were almost unstopable.
"You look like you guys could do with a patch up job." Mummymon said "Well allow me to help. Snake Bandage!" He fired a stream of bandages which succeeded in tying up Togemon, Ikkuamon, Aquilamon, and Ankylomon. Then he shot a poweful blast from his gun which hit ExVeemon and Stingmon.
"Allow me to wrap this up digidestined." Arukenimon said "Spider Thread!" She shot a poweful thread from her mouth which ensnarled Birdramon and Kabuterimon. Now only WarGeymon, MetalGarurumon, Angemon, and Angewomon were left to carry on the fight.
"Damn they've got us outnumbered!" Matt said.
"What do we do now?" Kari asked.
"I say we press our luck and try to take them both on anyway, maybe even bust out Onimon!" T.K. said
"No they'll catch on too fast!" Tai said "We've got to find a better solution to our problem. If there is one."
"But then what are we suppose to do?" Matt asked.
"There is one thing that might work." Angemon said "Do you remember the fight against Kokomon?"
"I thought that was all just a dream." T.K. said.
"Me too." Kari said "I can't seem to remember anything about that fight aside from that kid Willis."
"Well dream or not Angemon and I can access the forms we took on briefly in that fight." Angewomon said.
"And you think that will work?" Kari asked.
"It should." Angemon said "The transformations should only take a few seconds and our new forms will be really powerful."
"But we'll need you guys to cover for us so Arukenimon and Mummymon won't catch on." Angewomon said.
"If you guys need cover you've got it." Tai said "But we're counting on you so these forms had better be good. Are you ready Matt?"
"You betcha!" Matt said.

And I am Magnadramon, a powerful flying dragon whose fearsome speed and power can rival that of Imperialdramon when he's in his dragon mode. My red hot fire tornado shows no mercy to whoever my enemies may be.

"What?!" Arukenimon said as she and Mummymon stared at the two new Megas. "You've never used those modes before!"
"Yeah that's against the rules!" Mummymon said.
"Oh and turning from a human to a digimon isn't?" Seraphimon said.
"You two have caused enough trouble and now you will suffer the consquences." Magnadramon said, her voice in a surprisingly calm and collected voice.
"Go ahead, try to stop us!" Arukenimon said.
"We aren't afraid of you!" Mummymon said as he fired another blast from his gun. The attack hit Seraphmion head on and he didn't even flinch.
"Was that suppose to tickle?" Seraphimon said "I didn't even feel a thing."
"Acid Mist!" Arukenimon said shooting a poweful acidic mist from her mouth. The attack hit Magnadramon who simply shrugged it off.
"You call that an attack?" Mangadramon said "Because it sure didn't do anything to me."
Arukenimon and Mummymon started to panic.
"Have you figued it out yet?" Tai said a gigantic smrik forming on his face "This is the end of the road for both of you! You two bozos are the grass and our new friends Seraphimon and Magndramon here are the lawnmower!"
"Uh-oh!" Arukenimon and Mummymon said.
"Hold me Arukenimon!" Mummymon said trying to jump into her arms.
"You fool you forget we're not in human mode?" Arukenimon said as Mummymon crashed on the ground.
"Well this has been entertaining I suppose." Seraphimon said.
"However this is where it all ends. But look on the bright side. At least you'll have each other." Magndramon said.
"Seven Heavens!" Seraphimon said. A series of seven gaint balls of light formed around him. He then launched all of them at Arukenimon and Mummymon.
"Fire Tornado!" Magnadramon said. A gaint vortex of fire shot out from her mouth.
The attacks from the Megas sent Arukenimon and Mummymon now in their human modes flying. Their bodies began to delete as they were flunk into the violet portal.
"Looks like we're blasting off again!" the two Ultimates said as they disappered into the portal with a twinkle. The portal then closed and disappered once again.
"Why do I get the feeling I've seen that sort of cheesy exit somewhere?" Tai thought to himself as Seraphimon and Magnadramon reverted into an exhausted Patamon and Gatomon.
Twilight woke up the next morning to find Tai and Agumon were not in bed. "That's odd." Twilight thought to herself "Perhaps they're down stairs enjoying breakfast."
Gingerly tiphoofing so as not to wake up Spike Twilight made her way down to the main level of the library. But Tai and Agumon were nowhere to be found. Then she saw something on the table.
"What's this?" Twilight asked as she leviated the object to her.
It was a note.
Hey there Twilight,
After the close calls against MetalEtemon and the tag team threat of Arukenimon and Mummymon it has become all too panifully obvious to the digidestined and I that we are more then a bit rusty, so we have decided that we must sharpen our skills.
Yesterday afternoon as luck would have it we found a great place just outside of Ponyville that's largely uninhabited. This will make an excellent training ground.
We've made sure to pack everything we'll need and we'll likely be gone for most of the day so don't bother waiting for us to return. You and your friends can do whatever you normally do. Just try not to worry too much about me.

"Well seems like he's given me a day off of sorts." Twilight said "But I have a feeling I should show this to the girls first just so they don't freak out." And she did.

"Terra Force!" War Greymon said, launching an attack at MegaKabuterimon who dodged with ease.
"Horn Buster!" MegaKabuterimon said as he launched an attack right back at WarGreymon who also dodged with ease.
"Vee Laser!" ExVeemon said. Ankylomon deflected the blast with his tail.
"Tail Hammer!" Ankylomon said. ExVeemon flew up and dodged it.
"That's it guys keep giving it everything you've got!" Tai said "I wanna see you all give one hundred and ten percent out there and I don't care if that's not mathmatically possible! Our enemies haven't been holding back at all and more than likely that's not going to change any time soon! So I don't want to hear any excuses! I know I might seem hard on you all but I'm doing this for our own good! We were lucky the last two times and next time we may not be so lucky!"
"Don't worry coach!" WarGreymon said "We won't let you down will we guys?"
"Sir no sir!" replied the other digimon.
"Then get back to it!" Tai said.
"Ice Wolf Bite!" MetalGarurumon said, launching an attack at Garudamon.
"Phoneix Claw!" Garudamon said, countering the attack.
"Vulcan Hammer!" Zudomon said.
"Flower Cannon!" Lillymon said. Both attacks collided and cancelled each other out.
"Excalibur!" MagnaAngemon said.
"Celestia Arrow!" Angewomon said. Again the attacks collided and cancelled each other out.
"Grand Horn!" Aquilamon said.
"Spiking Strike!" Stingmon said. Like with before the attacks collided and cancelled each other out.
"Stop!" a voice called "You monsters will not harm this area!"
"Who said that?" ExVeemon asked.
"It doesn't matter!" WarGreymon said "Just keep going!"
"Trixie said stop!" the voice said. Then suddenly a unicorn mare with a light blue coat and an even lighter blue mane and tail decked out in a purple wizard hat and cloak came running out.
"Hold your fire!" Tai said. The digimon obeyed.
"Thank you for that." the unicorn mare said panting.
"Who are you?" Tai asked "And why did you order us to stop? We weren't doing any harm!"
"Trixie apologizes." the unicorn mare said "Trixie thought you were trying to attack her home."
"You still didn't answer one of my questions!" Tai said "Who are you?"
"You may not know it but you digidestined and your partner digimon are standing in the pressance of greatness that is The Great and Powerful er mean I The Great and Humble Trixie!"
"So uh Great and Humble Trixie!" Tai said.
"You may refer to Trixie as just Trixie." Trixie said.
"Well then Trixie explain to me what you meant by your home." Tai said "Do you mean to tell me that you live here? Twilight told me that after your last visit to Ponyvillie, which I hear wasn't very pleasant, you just up and ran off again."
"Ah so you know Twilight Sparkle." Trixie said "Well then perhaps this will be easier to explain then Trixie thought. Please follow Trixie and she will explain everything."
"Does this mean we're taking a break?" Stingmon asked.
"I guess so." ExVeemon said.
Trixie lead the digidestined into a small two story house. It wasn't anything special, it seemed to have an average look to it.
"Not a bad place you've got here." Davis said "But why exactly are you living here when there's a whole town of ponies just a few blocks away?"
"Trixie will explain everything. If you'd all kindly sit down and shut up Trixie can begin." Trixie said "Now then The Great and Humble Trixie was born in the town of Ponyville as one of the most talented unicorns. Some said she was even better than Rarity who was also born in Ponyville. Trixie's parents did not have enough bits however to enroll her in Princess Celestia's school for gifted unicorns in Canterlot and so Trixie was forced to share magical lessons with Rarity Belle. One day Rarity brought her younger sister Sweetie Belle who just a foal at the time with her."
"Are you gonna answer my question or not?" Davis asked.
"Silence fool! The Great and Humble Trixie does not like to be interupted!" Trixie snapped.
"Oh sorry." Davis said.
"Now where was Trixie? Oh yes. Rarity had brought Sweetie Belle over because her parents had trusted Rarity to look after her little sister while they went shoping." Trixie said "When the magic instructor did not show up Trixie used her magic to help Rarity entertain Sweetie Belle and in the process Trixie earned her cutie mark. From that day forward Trixie strived to become the greatest illusionist Equestria had ever seen."
"Uh Trixie if I may ask." T.K. said "Why is that I'm only now hearing this from you and not from Rarity herself?"
"Rarity has likely forgotten." Trixie said "Not that Trixie blames her. Rarity has been a very busy mare these past few years and it would not surprise Trixie if she has forgotten her fillyhood friend."
"Then I guess we'll have to remind her when we get back." Kari said "Anyways you may continue."
"To spare you a long and boring speech Trixie will simply skip to the next important part." Trixie said "Trixie eventually managed to build a name for herself as The Great and Powerful Trixie. Everywhere she went ponies of all ages would gather to watch Trixie perform spectacular feats of magic. Eventually Trixie decided to bring her show to Ponyvillie. By that point Trixie had gotten so confident that she believed nopony in Equestria could match her. Trixie told a gaint fib to make herself seem even more popular and started braging left and right. All those actions caught up to Trixie when she was forced to face down an Ursa Minor and was humilated. After that Trixie could no longer go anywhere in Equestria without being laughed at. She believed that such things were the result of Twilight Sparkle."
"Did you know that Twilight was an Element of Harmony bearer? The bearer of the Element of Magic to be precise?" Tai asked.
"No Trixie did not." Trixie said "For if she did know perhaps Trixie would not have done what she about a month ago. Fed up with working on a rock farm to make a living Trixie fled and by luck stumbled onto a pawn shop in the shaddy back alleys of Canterlot. There using all of the bits she had saved up she purchased the Alicorn Amulet which Trixie would later discover was cursed. It made Trixe incredibly powerful but it also made her act cruller than ever to those around her. She returned to Ponyville and challenged Twilight to a magic duel. When Twilight lost Trixie banished her from town and took over. Thankfully Twilight's friends were able to find out about the Alicorn Amulet and after beating Trixie at her own game of smoke and mirrors tricked her into taking off the Alicorn Amulet. Trixie was quickly forgiven for all she had done and even stayed to watch Twilight impress her teacher Princess Celestia. But The Great and Humble Trixie could not stay in Ponyville even after all they had done for her because it just wasn't for her. She perfered to live her life as she had always lived it, on the road. And so Trixie does not stay in any one place for too long. She goes wherever the wind takes her, stays for a while, and then packs up and leaves again. One day though when Trixie truely feels like she is ready she will return to Ponyvillie and challenge Twilight Sparkle to another magic duel. And it will be an honest duel. But until that day Trixie is perfectly content with living her life as she is now."
"So this home is only temporary huh?" Cody asked "I must say it has to be hard. Moving from place to place."
"It is but Trixie has made many friends." Trixie said "She still keeps in touch and visits on occassion. Why just recently Trixie traveled to Manehattan where she performed a charity magic act for those made homeless by a powerful storm system."
"I thought that with the exception of the Everfree Forest the pegasi controlled the weather." Izzy said.
"Yes well every so often the pegasi must deal with weather systems that leave the Everfree Forest. Such a thing is what happened in Manehattan." Trixie said.
"Sounds like you've had an intresting life." Ken said.
"Yes." Trixie said "The Great and Humble Trixie wholeheartedly agress."
"Well then I suppose you don't mind if we go back to our training?" Tai asked "I promise we'll be careful."
"Ah yes about that." Trixie said "Trixie believes that there might be a way that she can help you."
"How so?" Sora asked.
"Trixie shall show you." Trixie said
As is turned out Trixie was able to scan the digimon and create exact clones of them. Tai quickly caught on. What better way for the digidestined and their partner digimon to improve then to battle against their own copies who knew all of their attacks and strategies?
Several hours passed and the digidestined and their partner digimon kept training only take breaks every once in a while to avoid wearing themselves out.
The sun was starting to set when Tai decided they were done for the day. They said goodbye to Trixie and set off for Ponyville.
A few minutes later they were back in Ponyville where they found Twilight and her friends waiting for them.
"I thought I told you to not bother waiting for us to return." Tai said.
"You did but well we had nothing better to do." Twilight said. "I take it your training session went well."
"Yes very well." Tai said "We've improved considerably I'd say and we also ran into an old friend of Rarity's."
"And just who did you run into?" Rarity asked.
"Trixie, I mean the Great and Humble Trixie." T.K. said "Although you've probably forgotten about her. She said that she had to share magical lessons with you and that she earned her cutie mark helping you entertain your little sister Sweetie Belle."
"Oh I remember that well." Rarity said "I've been meaning to send Trixie a message but I have not heard from her in so long that I do not know where she lives."
"Well for now she's staying in a small house outside of Ponyville." Kari said.
"Guess I'll have to pop down there tomorrow." Rarity said "I really never got a chance to properly thank her for helping me look after Sweetie Belle. Speaking of which since I don't know how long I'll be gone tomorrow I take it I can trust you both to look after her."
"You betcha." Kari asked "And if there's ever any trouble I can always call Sora for backup."
"We'll see." Sora said "I've been pretty busy lately helping Pinkie Pie foalsit the Cake Twins and they're quite a handful or should I say hoofful." Everyone laughed at that, after all laughter was the best medicine.
The next day T.K. and Kari were watching Sweetie Belle as they had promised Rarity the day before. The two of them alongside Patamon and Gatomon were listening to Sweetie Belle singing. Needless to say they were amazed by what they heard.
"That's the most beautiful singing I've ever heard." Patamon said.
"It's music to my ears." Gatomon said "Er what I mean is, oh you know what I mean."
"I've never heard singing like that in all of my life." Kari said.
"Thanks." Sweetie Belle said.
"It's a wonder you haven't gotten your cutie mark in singing yet." T.K. said.
"Yeah well I've never really been comfortable singing in front of a group of ponies. This is different since I know you guys and I feel comfortable around you." Sweetie Belle said.
"Ah I see. A case of stage fright." T.K. said "Well like it or not the only way you'll ever overcome it is if you get out there and face the crowds. But in all honesty you sing so beautifully that I don't think anyone could not like it."
"Thanks for the encouragement." Sweetie Belle "But I don't know when the next singing contest is and I'm not really intrested in joining a choir."
"I never said you had to." T.K. said "But next time you have a chance to sing in front of a crowd of ponies do so. And just remember what I told you."
Meanwhile at Twilight's house Izzy was explaining to Tai what little information he had managed to dig up on the portal.
"All I know is that more than likely it's the same portal that brought us to Equestria." Izzy said "I'm afraid that I can't get any more information. I'd probably more useful if I had my laptop with me, but unfournately, unless I somehow failed to notice last I checked my laptop was still in the digital world, and without it I'm pretty much useless."
"Ah don't be like that Izzy." Tai said "You're a good friend and a great digidestined. We wouldn't be the same without you."
"Don't bother trying to cheer me up Tai." Izzy said "You probably think I'm useless as well."
"Izzy I'm ashamed of you!" Tai said "The Izzy I know wouldn't be saying such things. You're not useless. That brain of yours has been helpful many times in the past. Why who else but you could have explained to the Princess' about digimon?"
"Anyone really." Izzy said.
"Izzy please snap out of it. You're acting even worse then that time when Vademon tricked you into giving up your curosity." Tentomon said.
"I've got to find a way to cheer Izzy up." Tai thought to himself "But how?"
"Something on your mind Tai?" Agumon asked.
"I was just wondering how I could cheer Izzy up." Tai said.
"Well perhaps Izzy just needs some time off from thinking. Perhaps he needs a vacation of sorts." Agumon said
"I don't know about a vacation but I think maybe a day on the town will do him some good." Tai said "Perhaps he's just tired of being cooped up in this library."
"I think so too." Twilight said "And I happen to have a book containing all the must see places in Ponyville."
A short time later the digidestined had all gathered at a cafe not too far from Ponyville town hall. T.K. and Kari had come along as well after Sweetie Belle had left to join her fellow cutie mark crusaders on their latest attempt to earn their cutie mark.
"Feeling better yet Izzy?" Tai asked.
"Not really." Izzy said "The only way I'd ever feel useful again is if I had my laptop and I certainly don't plan on seeing it again anytime soon."
The rest of the digidestined and their partner digimon huddled together.
"How can we make Izzy feel like he's useful again?" Matt asked.
"Well you heard what he said." Joe said "We might as well face facts. Unless by some fluke Izzy's laptop happens to drop out of the sky there's nothing we can do."
"That's crazy talk!" Davis said "I always thought that being a digidestined means you never give up!"
"I wish someone would tell Izzy that." Ken said "He's sulking even more than I did after I was freed from being the Digimon Emperor."
"We can't just do nothing." Tentomon said "Izzy has never given up on us before so we can't afford to give up on him."
"But what can we do?" Gabumon asked.
Before anyone could answer a voice called out "Oh wow actual human beings! I knew they existed!"
The digidestined looked up to see a mint green unicorn mare with a mint green mane and tail staring directly at them.
"Uh I'm sorry can we help you?" Tai asked.
"More then you could imagine." the unicorn mare said "I'm Lyra Heartstrings but you can call me Lyra."
"So how can we help?" Sora asked.
"Well if you follow me to my home I'll show you." Lyra said "It's not too far from here."
The digidestined and their partner digimon followed Lyra to her home which was surprisingly a little more elegant than most homes they'd seen so far. But it also seemed to look partially like a candy store.
"Amazing isn't it." Lyra said "This place here is a sweet shop run by my marefriend Bon-Bon. It's a shame she's not here right now. Anyway when I came here this place had seen better days but using my incredibly talents as a lyre player I was able to collect enough to fix up this place. As for why's so elegant, well I use to live in Canterlot and so I decided that if I was going to stay in Ponyville I might as well make it look like home. Bon-Bon didn't mind much."
"About this Bon-Bon" Mimi asked "Is she as sweet as this shop?"
"Most of the time yes." Lyra said "But sometimes she can be really fiesty. This is usually because of her different voices which from what I know are either impersonations or multiple personalites."
"Is she a unicorn as well?" Cody asked.
"No she's actually an earth pony." Lyra said.
"I have to say this place reminds me an awful lot of my home." Yolei said "Expect my place is a convenience store."
"You still haven't told us how we can help you." Tai said.
"Well you see I've always been one of a few ponies who believes that human beings really do exist and perhaps at some point existed in Equestria." Lyra said "Why in fact I even wrote a song about humans, would you like to hear it?"
"No. Please no singing." Izzy said.
"Just ignore him." Tai said "We'd love to hear it."
When the song was finished Izzy's mood seemed to have improved slightly.
"Who is this Barrack Obama?" Tai asked.
"He's an up and coming Illinois senator in the United States of America. I heard that a little over two years ago he ran unscuessfully for the House of Representatives." Mimi said.
"So what did you think?" Lyra asked.
"That was amazing. I never thought I'd meet a pony who knows so much about humans." Izzy said "Lyra I have a feeling the two of us are going to get along perfectly."
"Oh shucks." Lyra said. She and Izzy instantly hit it off and started talking about all sorts of things related to humans.
"Say is it getting darker outside?" Lyra asked a short time later.
The digidestined and their partner digimon looked out the window and saw the violet portal had appeared in the sky once again. They didn't need to be told what to do. They wasted no time in racing to the center of town. And this time they made just as the portal spit out an object.
"Who could it be this time?" Tai asked.
"Whoever it is we'll beat the crap out of him or her!" Davis said once, again getting pumped up.
"Here it comes!" Joe shouted. The digidestined and their partner digimon knew the drill by now. They ducked and covered.
This time though they didn't need to wait for the smoke to clear to find out who they were up against because a familar voice called out "Ah digidestined we meet again. I'll admit I was not expecting it to be so soon."
Gatomon froze. She knew all too well who it was. "No, it can't be." she said.
"Oh but it is." the voice said as the smoke cleared. And there stood MaloMyotismon who looked none the worse for the wear.
"Surprised to see me digidestined? Well much like the fleas in the fur of animals I keep coming back!"
"Why doesn't ever he just stay dead? And to think I use to work for him." Gatomon thought to herself.
"Screaming Darkness!" MaloMyotismon said launching a gaint ball of shadow. The digimon barely dodged it. "I don't believe in monologing my plans." MaloMyotismon said "If you expect me to talk then you'll have to prove yourselves worthy! Now come on!"
"Whoa he's serious!" Tai said "At this rate we likely won't be able to relay on stalling for time until the Elements of Harmony arrive!"
"Then it looks like we're on our own again!" Davis said "Let's take this sucker down!"
"Right!" Tai said "Let's go!"

"Screaming Darkness!" MaloMyotismon said, launching another attack the DNA Ultimates dodged with easy while Omnimon used his shield to protect the rest of the digimon.
"Save your energy!" Tai told the others "Don't digivolve unless I give the signal!"
"Right!" replied the digidestined and their partner digimon that had not DNA digivolved.
"Supreme Cannon!" Ominmon said as one of his arms opened up to reveal a gaint cannon. Said cannon proceeded to release a gaint energy ball at MaloMyotismon.
"Desperado Blaster!" Paildramon said, shooting explosive rapid-fire bursts of energy at MaloMyotismon.
"Static Force!" Silphymon said, launching a gaint pink wave of energy at MaloMyotismon.
"Justice Beam!" Shakkoumon said, firing twin laser beams of energy from his eyes, directly at MaloMyotismon.
All of the attacks hit MaloMyotismon head on. A massive explosion enveloped him but thankfully was not enough to damage any of the buildings.
The smoke cleared to show MaloMyotismon still standing. "That hurts! That really hurts! Oh that's it now you've made me very angry! And believe when I say that's not good news for you digibrats!"
"Damn it that didn't work!" Davis said "O.k. let's step it up! Are you ready Ken?!'
"I was born ready!" Ken said "Let's do it!"

"I know last time I had help but I think this time I can deal some serious damage on my own!" Imperialdramon said "Positron Laser!" A gaint laser beam shot from the blaster on Imperialdramon's left hand. The blast struck MaloMoytismon and pushed him back slightly.
"Well it seems you've gotten stronger!" MaloMyotismon said "But so have I, Screaming Darkness!"
"Watch out!" Tai shouted. Omnimon and Imperialdramon managed to dodge the blast but unfournately the same could not be said for Silphymon and Shakkoumon. The blast took them down.
"Oh no!" Tai said "Now we've got two Megas against one. I don't think we have the advantage any more!"
"Don't worry we'll still take him down!" Ominmon said "Transcendent Sword!" Ominmon charged forward and struck MaloMyotismon on the head. The sword didn't imbed itself however.
"Argh! Why you!" MaloMyotismon said "You'll pay for that! Crimson Mist!" A powerful acidic mist which was obviously colored red hit Omnimon who began to wince and scream in pain. Despite his best efforts however he couldn't escape.
"I-Imperialdramon! Urgh! I need help!" Ominmon said.
"Ask and you shall receive Omnimon!" Imperialdramon said "Giga Crusher!" a powerful beam of light shot out from Imperialdramon's left hand and struck MaloMyotismon in the chest. The attack broke his concentration and allowed for the Crimson Mist to fade.
"Thanks for the help Imperialdramon!" Omnimon said his voice was moslty normal but gave a hint of pain impyling that the Crimson Mist's wounds ran deep.
"Are you o.k. Omnimon?" Imperialdramon asked.
"Yes." Omnimon said "That Crimson Mist have done a lot of damage but it'll take more than that to stop me. I'm not second in comand of the royal knights for nothing."
"No kidding." Imperialdramon said "Now let's combine our powers and together we will take down MaloMyotismon!"
"Supreme Cannon!" Omnimon said.
"Positron Laser!" Imperialdramon said. The two attacks were launched at the same time and after traveling for a bit they merged into one powerful beam that charged straight at MaloMyotismon.
"This is gonna suck!" MaloMyotismon said as he brought his arms up to his face to shield himself. The blast completely enveloped him and sent him flying a little.
Then there was a gigantic explosion! Forunately it was high up enough to avoid damging Ponyville but the winds stirred up by such a blast knocked a few ponies off their hoofs. The digidestined themselves barely managed to hold their ground.
"What's happening?!" Davis shouted above the roar of the winds.
"I don't know! I can't see!" Tai said.
Suddenly the smoke cleared to reveal MaloMyotismon still standing. His whole body was covered in gash marks and he was bleeding. He was breathing heavily.
"I'll give you credit for that digidestined!" MaloMyotismon said "Normally an attack like that would've finished me off!"
"So then why didn't it?!" Davis asked.
"It's simple." MaloMyotismon said "Because I was able to shield myself at the last minute I was able to absorb some of the damage. Not a lot mind you but enough to ensure I survived!" Then as if to prove he was far from finished he launched a barrage of Screaming Darkness attacks at Omnimon and Imperialdramon. They dodged almost all of them but one of them caught them by surprise.
"NOOOOOOOO!" Tai shouted. Fortunately Omnimon and Imperialdramon emerged and were still standing but their wounds showed that they were lucky to escape with their lives.
"Hmph. You brats just don't know when to give up do you?" MaloMyotismon said "Oh well I guess you'll learn the hard way when I completly destroy you!"
"O.k. that's it." Tai said "There's only one option left. We'll have to invoke Imperildramon's Paladin Mode!"
"But I don't know if we can do that." Davis said "Last time we unlocked it because we got lucky."
"No we unlocked it because our backs were to the wall and we didn't give in!" Tai said "And it looks like we're in another one of those situations. As long as we don't give up I know we can pull it off!"
"Well if you're sure!" Davis said "Now's not the time for doubt Ken and I can't do this with out you so are you ready?!"
"Yes!" Ken said.
"Alright then!" Davis said.
"Let's do it!" Matt, Tai, Davis, and Ken shouted all once. A bright light emerged from their digivices and D-3s.
(Mode Change)
Onimon's arms broke off and turned back into Agumon and Gabumon who were quite worn out. As for his body it was turned in a gaint ring of light which in turn became a sword. The Omnimon Sword to be precise. It flew upward and then dropped down and became weged into a rock.
Imperialdramon noticed the sword stuck in the rock and turned and walked towards it. The sky darkened and lightning flashed.
Imperialdramon mode change to
Imperialdramon grabbed the Omnimon Sword and began to try and pull it out. As he did so the sword started shooting off beams of light which began to coat Imperialdramon turning his body from mostly black with red wings into almost entirely white. The sky began to clear.
After a little effort Imperialdramon managed to pull the Omnimon Sword out. He swung it once to make sure he could wield it properly. He could. The transformation was complete. The sky now shined brightly.
Paladin Mode!
(Mode Change Complete)
"What?!" MaloMyotismon said "There's no way you should've been able to pull that off Imperialdramon!"
"Then you underestimated me and my friends!" Imperialdraon said.
"I did no such thing!" MaloMyotismon said. Despite his best attempts to remain calm his whole body began to shake. His hands clenched up into fists. "Oh I'm so angry! I feel like I could do so many unspeakable horrors!"
"You're losing it MaloMyotismon!" Gatomon said, a gaint smile breaking out across her face.
MaloMyotismon was silent. Then he started shouting towards the heavens.
"What's the matter cat got your tounge?" Gatomon said teasingly.
"SCREAMING DARKNESS!" MaloMyotismon bellowed. The blast struck Imperialdramon head on and he emerged without a single scratch. For the first time since the battle began MaloMyotismon started to show fear.
"It's over MaloMyotismon!" Imperialdramon said. He then charged forward and before MaloMyotismon had a chance to react Imperialdramon shouted "Omni Sword!" and impaled MaloMyotismon on the head.
For a moment nothing happened but then as soon as Imperialdramon removed the Omni Sword from MaloMyotismon a gaint crack of light formed and slowly began to make its way down through all of MaloMyotismon's body.
"No, no this cannot be!" MaloMyotismon said "I, DID, NOT, JUST, LOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSE!"
"Face it MaloMyotismon" Imperialdramon said "You did. And you know what happens next."
"NNNNOOOOOOOOO!" MaloMyotismon said as his body began to decay "Curse you all digidestined! Why can't you ever let me win?! I promise you this isn't over! There is still one more evil force you have yet to defeat! It's the strongest one of all and one you should be very familar with! Oh if only I could watch him destory you all! Oh well your demise will come soon enough! HAHAHAHAHA!" MaloMyotismon kept on laughing as he slowly faded into nothingness. Just like with all the other evil digimon his data swirled upward into the violet portal which then sealed itself shut.
"Huh what's this?" Izzy said as something caught his eye. He went over to investigate. When he realized what it was he was shocked "It's my laptop! " he said to himself "I wonder how it got here? Perhaps now I'll finally be able to get some answers."
Twilight and her friends showed up a moment later.
"Aw man it looks like we're too late!" Rainbow Dash said "I can't believe I missed such an awesome fight!"
"Sorry we would've been here sooner but for some reason Pinkie's tail didn't start twitching right away." Twilight said.
"And then I got a doozy." Pinkie Pie said "And from the looks of things you guys had a doozy of a fight."
"We sure did." Tai said. "But I'm glad it's over."
"So are we." Veemon and Wormmon said. They were exhausted after reverting from Imperialdramon Paladin Mode.
"Don't you worry guys." Tai said "I think we could all use a break after an intense fight like that."
The rest of the digidestined and their partner digimon nodded their heads in agreement.
Izzy wasted no time in booting up his laptop again. He was amazed that it had survied its fall intact and without any signs of damage.
Just after he had booted it up however a voice called out to him. "Digidestined, are you there? Hello?"
"Is that you Gennai?!" Izzy asked.
"The one and only." Gennai said.
"Who's that?" Twilight asked "I can't see anyone."
"That's Gennai." Tai said "He's kind of like our mentor. Gennai we can hear you but we can't see you."
"Of course you can't." Gennai said "Right now I can only speak to you through Izzy's laptop. Now listen carefully. I can't quite pinpoint your current location on any of my charts or maps but I do know that you are not in either Earth or the digital world. You are in some sort of alternative universe."
"You are right about that." Izzy said "We're in the land of Equestria."
"Hm Equestria you say? Well I'll have to check the charts and maps again. If I can find your exact location I might be able to find a way to bring you back. However it may take some time." Gennai said.
"Well good luck." Izzy said "If you need an exact location we're in the town of Ponyville."
"Ponyville huh?" Gennai said "I take it that means the dominant species are horses?"
"Well actually the dominant species are ponies but that's a good guess." Izzy said.
"Ponyville does sound familar to me somehow but I can't quite put my finger on it." Gennai said "I'll see what I can find. Oh and I should warn you, that mysterious portal that brought you guys here has appeared again and has brought back some of your old foes."
"We know Gennai." Davis said "We've already dealt with them!"
"Not all of them Davis." Gennai said "As I'm sure MaloMyotismon told you there is still one more evil digimon you have to defeat. But be warned this evil force despite having been defeated just recently has gotten more powerful. Be careful."
"We will Gennai." Izzy said "Contact us if you manage to find out anything."
"I will." Gennai said "Goodbye for now digidestined."
The rest of the day passed uneventfully for the digidestined. They did take the time to do some more training but they found that Trixie had already packed up and left.
"I believe she mentioned something about starting a gameshow in Los Pegasus." Rarity told them.
"Any word from Gennai yet?" Tai asked Izzy the next morning.
"No not yet." Izzy said "But if he does find anything out I'll let you know."
"I hope you're not going to leave that thing on all day." Tentomon said.
"Of course not." Izzy said as he shut off his laptop "Since I don't have my charger with me I'm not going to waste my battery life. It's a good thing my laptop has a really long battery life though."
"I hear ya." Tai said. "Now come on breakfast is ready and it sure smells good."
Tai, Izzy, Agumon, and Tentomon joined Twilight and Spike for breakfast. They enjoyed every moment of it.
"Hey did you remember to make some muffins?" Spike asked Twilight once breakfast was over.
"Of course." Twilight said "I know how much she loves muffins."
"Who are you talking about?" Tai asked.
Before either Twilight or Spike could answer there was a knock at the door.
"Who could that be?" Agumon asked.
Tai, Izzy, Agumon, and Tentomon watched as Twilight opened the door. And there stood a grey wall eyed pegasus with a blond mane. She was carrying a mail delivery sack on her shoulders and had a mail carrier hat on.
"Hello Derpy." Twilight said "Here I made sure to whip up a basket of muffins for you."
"Thanks Twilight." Derpy said "Say is that your coltfriend Tai over there?"
"Um yes." Tai said.
"Oh hello there." Derpy said "I've heard good things about you and your friends."
"You have?" Tai asked.
"Yes." Derpy said. "Oh but look at the time. I'm such a silly pony I really must be going. This mail isn't going to deilver itself you know. Hey maybe you guys could drop by my house later and we can hang out."
"Well I don't see why not." Tai said.
"Then it's a deal." Derpy said "See you in a little while."
"So who exactly was that?" Izzy asked.
"That's our local mailmare Derpy Hooves." Twilight said "Even though the post office has recently added more workers Derpy is still the only one with a perfect track record. She's never lost a single package or letter in her entire career."
"Wow that's incredible." Izzy said "But um if you don't mind me asking why are her eyes like that?"
"I don't really know. In fact nopony does." Twilight said "I think it might be a disease of some sort but I don't know. Sadly some ponies like to tease Derpy. They constantly say she's a walking disaster and a disgrace to society that should be locked away and never allowed to see the light of day."
"Wow I never knew ponies could be so cruel." Tai said.
"Yes well they can. And it's really sad because Derpy doesn't mean any harm." Twilight said "Fortunately Derpy has many friends who stick up for her. Including Rainbow Dash. In fact when Derpy accidentally damaged town hall almost a year ago Rainbow Dash defended her and said that Derpy never meant to cause any harm. Plus Derpy herself said she was more than happy to fix up town hall all by herself."
A little later all of the digidestined had gathered at the place which Rainbow Dash had told them was Derpy's home.
Tai knocked on the door. He was surprised when a brown earth pony stallion answered it. "I don't know why but somehow he seems familar. Like thought I've seen him before in some other sort of form." Tai thought.
"Oh um hello please do come in." the stallion said nervously "Oh and don't mind my voice it might seem a little odd but I had to master it in order to blend in."
"Who are you exactly?" Izzy asked.
"Oh I'm uh, I'm, T-T-Time Turner. I'm a master of all things timey-wimey, but that's because I work as a clock maker. Some ponies call me the lord of time." the earth pony stallion replied
"And what are you doing here?" Tai asked "After all this is Derpy's house."
"I know it is." Time Turner said "I was just going. I came by to visit with Derpy for a little bit."
"Oh o.k." Tai said.
"Yes so now I'll be on my way." Time Turner said.
Once Time Turner left the digidestined and their partner digimon got a good look at their surroundings. Like with Trixie's home it seemed to be rather simple but it also seemed to have a slightly different feel to it. As if though there was something special about this.
"Oh hello." Derpy said "So nice of you to drop by."
"Say who's that hiding behind you?" Kari asked when she noticed something out of the corner of her eye.
"Why that's Dinky Doo Hooves." Derpy said "She's my little muffin. Say hello Dinky."
"H-Hello." replied Dinky. She had the same mane and coat as Derpy but she had a horn on her forehead which indicated that she was a unicorn and not a pegasus.
"It's alright Dinky." Derpy Hooves "They won't hurt you. These are the digidestined. You know the ones who beat those big scary monsters."
Dinky immediately warmed up to the digidestined and their parnter digimon.
"Well ain't she a cutie." Kari said.
"I know." Derpy said "I can't imagine life without her."
"Who's the father?" Joe asked.
"I don't want to talk about that." Derpy said, a tear forming in her eye as she looked up to the sky, a single star streaked across "All you need to know is that he's not around anymore."
"Oh I see." Joe said picking up the hint "I'm sorry, I didn't know."
"It's okay." Derpy said, wiping away her tear "I still have Dinky and I know he wouldn't want me to be sad."
"Well to change the subject." Mimi said "Can you tell us about Time Turner. He said he was visiting you earlier."
"Ah yes Time Turner. He's a really sweet stallion. He was there for me when my husband well you know. I really don't know what I would've done without him." Derpy said.
"I see." Mimi said.
"Yes well anyway ever since that time he's come around to help on occasion." Derpy said "In fact I have him to thank for my job. He also sometimes looks after Dinky if I have to work over time at the post office. So in a way he's kind of like a father to her."
"He seems like a nice stallion." Mimi said.
"Indeed." Derpy said "And if you're wondering why I haven't married him yet it's because he told he's already married."
"Mommy I'm hungry." Dinky said.
"Guess it's time to eat huh?" T.K. asked.
"Yep." Derpy said.
"Would you like some help in the kitchen?" Kari asked.
"Sure." Derpy said "I'm a pretty good cook myself but the more the merrier."
A few minutes later the digidestimed, their partner digimon, Derpy, and Dinky had a delicious picnic lunch outside. The sun shone and birds chirped happily.
For the rest of the day the digidestined spent time getting to know Derpy and played with Dinky.
"Thanks for coming over." Derpy said as she carried Dinky to bed. The little filly was starting to fall asleep after her exciting afternoon. "I think Dinky really had fun today."
"I think so too." Kari said "You're one of the nicest ponies I've ever seen."
"Ah shucks it's nothing really." Derpy said as she tucked Dinky in and kissed her little muffin good night. She then began to sing Dinky a song.
"That voice it's so beautiful." Matt said.
"It's like the voice of an angel." Kari said. "It's so soothing."
Unknown to any of the digidestined Ken was trying to hold back tears. He'd never admit it but the song reminded him of his brother Sam. "I sure wish you were alive to see this Sam." Ken thought to himself.
"Do you guys need help getting back?" Derpy asked after she had finished singing. By now Dinky was fast asleep
"No we know the way." Gabumon said "But thanks anyway. Bye now."
"Goodbye." Derpy said "I hope we meet again soon."
And with that the digidestined split up and went their seperate ways for the night.
Just before Izzy went to bed he checked his laptop. He was surprised to find an e-mail from Gennai. "I wonder what it could be?" he said to himself. He clicked on it. What he saw gave him quite a shock.
"This changes everything!" Izzy said "I just hope Twilight can explain why she never told us this."
Izzy read over the e-mail from Gennai again the next morning just to ensure that he hadn't possibly misread it due to exhaustion. He hadn't.
The e-mail read as follows:
Izzy,
I managed to pinpoint your exact location on a very old map. As it turns out Equestria, Ponyville especially, actually has a strong connection to Earth and the digital world. As a matter of fact, a long time ago digimon frequently crossed between the two universes. Most of those that did not return were dealt with.
However, about 1,000 years ago connections between the digital world and Equestria were mysteriously severed. The same holds true to some extent for Earth and Equestria, although their connection was not severed completly.
Twilight's spell somehow managed to restore those connections and now I know why. I don't know if Twilight already told you this, but that portal was infused with dark magic. Not a lot mind you, but enough to block communications and pull anything into it that wandered too close.
As it turns out, that spell somehow also managed to resurrect some evil digimon and give they a boost which explains why you may have had a hard time against them.
There is still one last evil digimon that the spell resurrected who has yet to come forth. I'm trying to identify it as we speak.
Before you ask, yes, I took the liberty of explaining to your families about what has happened to you. I made sure to let them know you were safe and sound, and that I was working on a way to bring you and the others back.
Speaking of which, I still need a little more time to figure out a way to get you guys out of Equestria. So you'll likely be there for a little while longer.

Gennai
When Izzy showed it to Tai, Agumon, and Tentomon they were shocked.
"Twilight never mentioned anything about dark magic!" Tai said "Not even during our late night talk!"
"Why would she keep something like that from you?" Agumon asked "After all you are her coltfriend."
"I don't know!" Tai said "But I do know that we need to talk to Twilight asap and hear her verision of the story!"
"I'm sorry Tai but that's not your decision to make." Izzy said.
"What do you mean it's not my decision to make?!" Tai said "I'm the leader of the digidestined!"
"That may be." Izzy said "But unfournately your time with Twilight has made you biased towards her. In your book she's incapable of doing any wrong."
"Lair!" Tai said "That's not true and you know it! I said no such thing!"
"No but you believe such a thing." Izzy said "Therefore you cannot make a netural decision. I'm taking this to our friends first and then together we will confront Twilight and see what she has to say."
"How could you Izzy?!" Tai said "Twilight took us in, she trusted us! And this is how you repay her?! By stabbing her in the back and taking this information to our friends just so you can get them mad at her?! I'm ashamed of you!"
"Tai please calm down." Izzy said "I don't want to believe this as much as you do but we have to face the facts. Gennai has never lied to us before and I see no reason for him to start lying now. I don't intend to betray Twilight but I'm afraid that if just the four of us confront her she could easily lie to us and make herself look innocent."
"If you would just let me confront her I'm sure I could coax the truth out of her!" Tai said "But no! You think I'm trying to defend her! So you decide to betray your best friend and your leader by not trusting him and going behind his back! You must think I'm stupid!"
"Tai I'm begging you please calm down." Izzy said "I don't think you're stupid."
"You're just saying that!" Tai said "You've always thought I was stupid. You just never had the guts to admit it! Well say it o.k., just say it!"
"No!" Izzy said "But with or without your approval I'm showing this to the other digidestined. Don't bother trying to stop me!"
"Fine go ahead, do it! See if I care!" Tai said "Frankly I don't give a damn anymore! If you think you're so smart go ahead and show the digidestined that e-mail! I assure you that once they find out you did so without the permission of your leader they'll chew you out for it!"
"Fine I will." Izzy said, his anger rising "I'm sorry it had to come to this. Oh but before I go I suppose I should give you what you deserve." And with that Izzy smacked Tai in the face.
"That hurt me more than it hurt you." Izzy said "But I did that for your own good. I hope now you'll understand." With that Izzy left along with Tentomon leaving Tai and Agumon alone.
"Are you okay Tai?" Agumon asked.
Tai said nothing. He just stared at himself. Then suddenly he started sheding tears. "What have I done?!" he asked himself.
"There, there it'll be okay." Agumon said, pating his partner on the back. This wasn't the first time he'd seen his partner break down.
About an hour and a half later Izzy and Tentomon returned with the rest of the digidestined and their partner digimon.
"I'm sorry Tai." Izzy said "But I did what I thought was right."
"Thanks Izzy." Tai said "For standing up to me. I know that couldn't have been easy. I was acting like a real jerk. And you were right, I didn't want to admit it but I was defending Twilight. I guess after an outburst like that I'm not fit to be the leader of the digidestined."
"Hey don't start that sort of nonsense." Izzy said "As Lyra Heartstrings explained during her song nobody's perfect."
"I guess you're right." Tai said "But can you ever forgive me for being so hard on you?"
"Sure I can forgive you." Izzy said "You're a great leader Tai. We wouldn't be the same without you."
"You really mean it?" Tai asked.
"Of course I do." Izzy said.
"Well then I guess now we must go confront Twilight." Tai said "I have a feeling I'm not going to like what I'm hearing."
"Trust me you're not the only one." T.K. said.
Twilight had just finished sorting some books on a shelf when the digidestined found her.
"Oh hi guys." Twilight said "Did Gennai find out anything yet?"
"Yes he did." Tai said "And as much as it pains me to say this I'm afraid he found something that could only lead back to you."
"What do you mean?" Twilight asked nervously.
"Izzy please explain." Tai said.
"I'm sorry I have to do this Twilight." Izzy said "But we have to know the truth." And with that Izzy showed Twilight the e-mail from Gennai. Twilight was shocked.
"Well?" Tai asked "Is Gennai telling the truth? Did you use dark magic?"
Twilight sighed and hung her hed low. "I guess there's no point in trying to hide it from you any longer." Twilight said "Yes I am guilty as charged."
"So you Did use dark magic?" Kari asked.
"Yes." Twilight said "I meant to tell you this sooner but I wasn't sure how you guys would react."
"Are you crazy?!" T.K.said angrily "Why would you do something like that?!"
"T.K. please relax." Kari said.
"Twilight you should've known that the forces of darkness are not a tool!" T.K. said angrily "How could you be so stupid?!"
"You'll have to forgive T.K." Cody said "He's had a really bad experience with the forces of darkness and as a result he hates anything to do with them. Anyways please continue."
"I discovered a book about acient spells and after checking to make sure that the spells were legal I decided to try one of them out. I thought that the interuniversal spell would be simple enough but my magic on it's own wouldn't work." Twilight said "So I had to reluctantly use a bit of dark magic. I never intended for it to bring you all here or to bring back your enemies and make them more powerful. I'm sorry I kept this secret from you all for so long, but I thought if you knew you'd view me as some kind of heartless monster. Guess this really came back to bite me."
"Well what do you guys think?" Tai asked "I personally think that Twilight is still innocent. She didn't do it on purpose. But I know I can't force you all to change your minds. So be honest with me do you think we can still trust Twilight?"
"Of course." Davis said "I've done worse things and you've all forgiven me. I don't see how this could be any different."
"I trust Twilight as well." Ken said "After all I had to use part of my inner darkness to banish Damon to the dark ocean so I know what it's like to have to tap into such things. Plus you encouraged me to let go of my past and I'm sure that Twilight would like for us to do the same."
"I've always trusted Twilight." Kari said "After all I've been through I know how to tell what someone is like on the inside. And to me Twilight is a still good pony at heart."
"Having been tempted by the forces of darkness before I'm all for forgiving and forgetting." Matt said "If Twilight says she never intended to cause any harm then I believe her."
"I've been tempted by darkness as well." Sora said "So of course I forgive Twilight. After everything we've been through I really don't think we have the right to judge her."
"I wholeheartedly agree with Sora." Mimi said "After all even though I was never tempted by darkness I've done things in the past that I'm not proud of and you've all forgiven me. So I say we should do the same for Twilight."
"I guess since you all think Twilight can be trusted I can too." Joe said "After all if I'm to become a doctor some day I have to not let personal opinions get in the way."
"Well since you all seem willing to forgive Twilight I guess I can too." Yolei said "Much like Mimi I know I haven't been perfect all the time but you've always forgiven me. I couldn't really consider myself a digidestined if I wasn't willing to forgive others for making mistakes."
"I supose I can forgive Twilight too." Cody said "I made the mistake of not beliving someone truely understood that the power of darkness is not something to joke about once before and I don't want to make that mistake again."
"Wow I never thought so many of you would be so willing to forgive Twilight." Izzy said "I guess I do too."
"What about you T.K.?" Tai asked "Do you think Twilight can still be trusted?"
T.K. was silent for a long time. Finally after what seemed like ages he let out a sigh and said "Well since everyone else to seems to think we can trust Twilight I guess I do too. But I still wish I'd have known about this sooner."
"I'm glad to see you all think I can still be trusted." Twilight said "It means so much to me."
"I just wish you'd have told me sooner." Tai said "But now I guess we can both say we haven't kept any secrets from each other."
"Yup." Twilight said "Our pasts are open books." And with that she and Tai hugged each other again. No one could resist letting out an aw.
Just then Izzy's laptop started beeping. "That must be Gennai." Izzy said. "I wonder what he's managed to find out."
"Digidestined! I hope you can hear me because I have some very important news!" Gennai said, his face appeared on a video. "I just found out who the last evil digimon is! It's Armageddemon!"
"What?!" the digidestined and their partner digimon said.
"He'll arrive in Ponyville any second now!" Gennai said "At this point I can't confirm whether or not he's gotten stronger thanks to the portal! All I can say that he's very dangerous and must be stopped at all costs! But please proceed with caution and leave nothing up to chance!" The video faded.
"Uh-oh!" Kari said "My crest is glowing!"
"And I just got a doozy again!" Pinkie Pie said. She and the rest of Twilight's friends had just entered a moment ago.
"Then we'd better get the Elements of Harmony ready!" Twilight said. She wasted no time in leviating the case holding the elements over to her and opening it up. She quickly threw the elements to their respective bearers. They'd no sooner done that when the gaint violet portal appeared in the sky again.
"Let's go!" Tai said. His voice reflecting the seriousness of the situation.
The digidestined, their partner digimon, and the six Elements of Harmony bearers quickly made their way to the center of town.
"Everypony please get to safty!" Mayor Mare said "The digidestined and their partner digimon along with the six Elements of Harmony will deal with this situation!"
The ponies didn't need to be told twice. All of them ran for whatever shelter they could find.
Just as the digidestined, their partner digimon, and the six Elements of Harmony bearers reached the center of town the portal opened wider and Armageddemon slowly descended.
"This is it!" Tai said "It's all or nothing! We've come too far to turn back now!"
"How right you are human!" Armageddemon said, his monsterous voice echoing throughout Ponyville. "And this time you don't stand a ghost of a chance against me!"
"This guy means business." Tai said "We'd better stay on our toes."
"Hmph you insolent human beings." Armageddemon said, his voice echoing throughout all of Ponyville "Do you honestly think that you stand a chance against me, the all powerful Armageddemon?!"
"Of course!" Tai said "We're digidestined. We never back down from a fight. Not when everything we value is as stake."
"How pathetic." Armageddemon said "You and your little pony friends are no match for me!"
"We ain't so little!" Rainbow Dash said.
"Easy Rainbow Dash." Applejack said "Don't lose your cool. That's just what he wants you to do."
"Should we fire up the Elements of Harmony?" Twilight asked.
"No not yet." Tai said "Let's save them for when we've exhausted all other options. Now then the only thing that can defeat Armageddemon is the Omni Sword. And that means we have to bust out Imperialdramon Paladin Mode again. So are you all with me?!"
"Yeah!" replied the digidestined and their partner digimon.
"Then let's do it!" Tai said.
"I'm ready when you are." Matt said.

Omnimon's arms broke off and became Agumon and Gabumon again while his body turned into a holy ring and then the Omni Sword. It flew up into the sky before landing and embeding itself in a rock. The sky grew dark as lightning flashed from within the clouds.
Imperialdramon noticed the embedded Omni Sword and walked over to the rock it was stuck in. He grabbed it with one hand and began to try and pull it out.
Imperialdramon mode change to
The Omni Sword cast beams of light which transformed Imperialdramon's jet black coat into a pure white one. At last Imperialdramon pulled the Omni Sword out of the rock it had been wedged in. He swung it once to confrim he could properly wield it. The clouds parted and the sky brightened
Paladin Mode!
"Don't think it's going to be so easy." Armageddemon said "Darken the sky!" The sky grew dark, almost like night but without either the moon or the starts to brighten it.
"Don't try to scare me Armageddemon." Imperialdramon said "It won't work!"
"You certainly are full of yourself Imperialdramon." Armageddemon said "But enough chitchat let's get this show on the road shall we?! Allow me to make the first move. Full Scale Attack!" Armageddemon unleashed gaint balls of energy from all of his tentacles as well as his mouth. Imperialdramon deflected them with one swing of the Omni Sword.
"If I could get close enough to Armageddemon I should be able to impale him with the Omni Sword like I did last time." Imperialdramon thought to himself.
"Destiny Destroyer!" Armageddemon said. He launched a gaint beam from his mouth. Imperialdramon dodged it.
"Looks like I'll have to weaken him first." Imperialdramon thought to himself. "Giga Crusher!" A gigantic beam of lifght shot out from the blaster on his other hand, the one that was not holding the Omni Sword. It struck Armageddemon and triggered a gaint explosion. Armageddemon emerged unharmed.
"You'll have to do better than that Imperialdramon!" he said "Full Scale Attack!"
"Giga Crusher!" Imperialdramon said. The attacks surprisingly were evenly matched.
"You've gotten stronger Imperialdramon." Armageddemon said "But I'm afraid it won't do you any good!"
"We'll see about that Armageddemon!" Imperialdramon said. "Giga Crusher!"
"Destiny Destroyer!" Armageddemon said. Like with before the attacks were evenly matched.
This went on and on for what seemed like ages with neither side gaining the uper hand. They tried on occassion to mix things up and attack from other locations but seemed as if though the two combatants could read each other's mind.
The colliding attacks lit up the darkened sky like a fireworks show.
"This is getting annoying!" Davis said "I hate just standing here, watching these two trade attacks and insults and being powerless to do anything!"
"How do you think we all feel?" Gatomon asked "You think we like sitting on the sidelines at a time like this? Everyone wishes they could do something but the fact is that we can't. Like it or not there's nothing we can do expect watch and hope for the best!"
"I know, I know!" Davis said "But all the same I just hate that helpless feeling. I just want to be able to do something, anything really! It would sure beat standing around and doing nothing!"
"Well unless you could somehow turn into a digimon yourself there's nothing you can do Davis." Gatomon said "And last time I checked that was something that you humans couldn't do!"
"Will you two quit bellyaching?!" Kari said "We all know there's nothing we can do to help Imperialdramon, do you think we liked being reminded of that fact?!"
"Look I'm sorry o.k." Davis said "But I really thought this fight would be over by now."
"Me too." Tai said "Izzy I think perhaps you check your laptop again and pull up the digimon analyser."
"I don't know I've got a bad feeling we won't like what I find out." Izzy said.
"I've got that bad feeling too." Tai said "But we have to know for certain."
"Well o.k." Izzy said. He turned on his laptop and pulled up the digimon analyser. He was silent for a moment and then he let out a gasp.
"Well come on out with it!" Tai said.
"Uh I really don't think you're going to like what I have to say." Izzy said nervously.
"Tell me!" Tai said. He grabbed Izzy by the neck and shook him hard. "Tell us all!"
"Very well then." Izzy said as Tai let go of him. He let out a sigh and said "Guys I've got some very bad news. It turns out that the portal has indeed boosted Armageddemon's power. He and Imperialdramon are now at the same level. They are evenly matched."
"So have you figured it out digidestined?" Armageddemon said "You and I are evenly matched. You can't defeat me."
"I wouldn't go that far Armageddemon!" Tai said "We may be evenly matched but that doesn't mean we can't win!"
"To be honest this fight could go either way." Armageddemon said "It's all a matter of endurance." Then he turned to Imperialdramon who had been silent sneaking up on him. "Destiny Destroyer!" he shouted. Imperialdramon barely managed to dodge it. "You'll have to do better than that Imperialdramon." Armageddemon said "I know that the Omni Sword could destroy me with one blow! Therefore I cannot allow you to get close. I'm keeping my guard up, so let's see if you can make me drop it."
"Well then how do you like THIS?!" Imperialdramon said "Giga Crusher!". The blast struck Armageddemon on the right side. Armageddemon flinched.
"That was a lucky shot Imperialdramon!" Armageddemon said "But I'm afraid it won't happen again! Now let's see if your reflexes are as good as they were last time! Full Scale Attack!" Once again Armageddemon unleashed gaint energy balls from his hands and shot them at Imperialdramon who deflected them all with the Omni Sword.
"We've got to do something!" Davis said "If this keeps up Imperialdramon could lose!"
"There's nothing we can do Davis." Tai said solemnly "We'll just have to put our trust in Imperialdramon and hope he can win."
"Hahahahaha what a pathetic idea." a sinister voice said.
"That voice! No it can't be!" Twilight said, she started to panic.
"What's going on Twilight?!" Tai asked "What's got you so worried?!"
"You remember when I told you my life story about nine nights ago when you first arrived?" Twilight asked.
"Yeah." Tai said.
"Well do you remember what I told about King Sombra?" Twilight asked.
"Yes." Tai said, then the realization hit him "You mean to tell me that Sombra is back?!" Twilight merely nodded.
"Ah so you know who I am." the voice said "Well I suppose I should introduce myself anyway, after all I AM a king. I am the almighty King Sombra! Lord of the shadows!"
"How are you still alive?!" Rainbow Dash asked "We saw you shatter into a million pieces!"
"Hmph you insolent fools!" King Sombra said "It is true that you defeated me with the power of the Crystal Heart. But what you do not know and what Celestia foolishy failed to mention is that as long as part of me is intact I can live on."
"But then how could you survive if every single part of you just exploded?!" Pinkie Pie asked.
"Do you remember when your friend Princess Cadence barely managed to put up the forcefield around the Crystal Empire?" Sombra asked "Well what you should've realized is that the forcefield cut off the tip of my horn, it remained burried in the ground for some time until my body was able to rematerialize itself. But sadly it was not perfect, I have been left with a reminder of what you did to me! Take a good look." And with that Sombra made his presence know. His body was mostly like it had been last time except aside from his face, upper neck, and the tips of his hooves his whole body was nothing but shadowy mist.
"This is what you did to me!" Sombra roared "Thanks to you my beautiful body is but a distant memory!"
"Why have you come here?!" Applejack asked.
"Isn't it obvious?" Sombra asked "I need a new body and thanks to your friend Twilight's little mistake I've found the perfect one. I can only merge with a being infested with dark magic, and Armageddemon here has a healthy supply of dark magic which has made him more powerful!"
"I don't need your help!" Armageddemon said "I can defeat these meddling pests on my own!"
"Ah I see you are resistant." Sombra said "Well it won't matter because YOU WON'T GET A SAY IN THE MATTER!" And with that Sombra turned into a gaint shadow. His eyes, mouth, and horn were reflected in it. The shadow flew into Armageddemon who began to wince in pain.
"No! Stop! Please leave me alone!" Armageddemon said "I don't your Hel-AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH! ARMAGEDDEMON MODE CHANGE TO!" Lightning started flashing and erupting from the sky as Armageddemon's body began to spew dark mist just like King Sombra. His eyes began to glow dark red. Parts of him slowly began to change until finally instead of a gaint six legged lizard creature there stood a more human like figure. The face looked exactly like Sombra's. A crown was sitting on top of a sombrero. The entire body was clothed in Spanish style clothing. "SHADOWMON!"
"What?!" The digidestined, their partner digimon, Imperialdramon, and the Elements of Harmony bearers all said at once. Needless to say they were shocked.
"Ah now this is more like it." Shadowmon said "This body is even better than the one I had last time." He looked down at his opponets. "What's the matter, has my transformation taken you by surprise? Well don't worry you'll have plently of time to get use to it because I'm not going anywhere." And with that sky grew even darker until it was as black as Shadowmon himself.
"Uh Izzy." Tai said nervously "Is there anything abut Shadowmon on the digimon analayser?"
"Let me check." Izzy said. "Hm let's see, well it pretty much just tells us what we already know. It's a fusion between Armageddemon and King Sombra. At this point his power level cannot be accurately measured but chances are he's every bit as powerful as Armageddemon was."
"But he's left himself wide open!" Imperialdramon said "Omni Sword!" And with that he thrust the Omni Sword into Shadowmon, impaling him on the head. There was an erie silence for a moment but Shadowmon didn't even flinch. "What?!" Imperialdramon said.
"You're pathetic." Shadowmon said "Did you honestly think that silly toy of yours could stand up to me?!" He pulled the Omni Sword out, there was no sign of injury as if though the sword had never been there in the first place. "Well I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to put it away, permanently!"
"Never!" Imperialdramon said.
"That wasn't a request Imperialdramon." Shadowmon said. And with that he brought the sword up to his face and crushed it in his hand. He then blew the bits of data that it had been reduced to into Imperialdramon's face. "Now without your sword you are powerless against me!" Shadowmon said.
"I may not have my sword any more but I can still fight!" Imperialdramon said "Giga Crusher! Full Power! DIE SHADOWMON!" he launched the blast straight at Shadowmon's face. It failed to leave a mark.
"You should've listened to me earlier Imperialdramon." Shadowmon said "Now I'm afraid I have no choice but to make an example of you. Pay attention digidestined, and the same goes to you Elements of Harmony! This is what happens to those who are foolish enough to stand in my way! Shadow Orbs!" Gaint orbs composed of dark magic appeared in Shadowmon's hands. He threw them both at Imperialdramon who was too stunned to do anything. The orbs merged into one gaint orb that completly enveloped Imperialdramon.
A gaint explosion ripped the sky. The digidestined, their partner digimon, and the Elements of Harmony bearers could do nothing but watch. At last after what seemed like ages the explosion stopped. The digidestined, their partner digimon, and the Elements of Harmony bearers looked up. Imperialdramon stood there, his whole body was covered in bruises, scratches, and gash marks. He was bleeding heavily. "I've failed." he said slowly. And with that the mighty Mega level digimon crashed to the ground. A huge cloud of dust was stirred up upon impact.
"NOOOOOOOO!" Tai shouted.
The smoke cleared and there laying face down in a gaint crater, unable to move was Imperialdramon.
"You see." Shadowmon said "Nothing can stop me now!"
"Hear me Equestria!" Shadowmon shouted. His voice echoing everywhere "As of today this entire world belongs to me Shadowmon the king of darkness! Any attempts to resist my authority are futile and will only result in casualties! Do not think that these digidestined and their little 'pets' you've been hearing about will save you! They have already been defeated! And if your rulers Celestia and Luna try to stop me I'll crush them! Therefore I hope that you all will willingly submit to my reign as the new king of Equestria!"
Tai didn't care what Shadowmon said, right now there was only one thing that was on his mind and that was Imperialdramon. "Imperialdramon!" he shouted, runing towards the crater that the Mega level digimon lay in. The rest of the digidestined and their partner digimon followed.
Imperialdramon didn't move or even respond. Tai grew worried.
"Imperialdramon get up!" Tai shouted as he approached the fallen Mega "You're stronger than this I know you are!" Imperialdramon didn't respond. "Imperialdramon get up please!" Tai shouted "You can't give up now! Everyone is depending on you! If you quit now then every living being pony or non is going to suffer!" Imperialdramon still didn't respond. Tai began to break down "Imperialdramon get up damn it! You can't die! Not here, not now! Come on this isn't funny anymore, don't do this to us! Imperialdramon please get up! We need you! Say something, anything! Imperialdramon?! Imperialdramon!" Tai started sobbing uncontrollably.
Suddenly Imperialdramon spoke "Tai." he said slowly groaning and coughing as he did so. It was obvious he was in a lot of pain. "I feel weak. I can barely move." he started coughing up blood.
"Imperialdramon you're alive!" Tai said.
"Yes but not for long." Izzy said, a somber look on his face "Imperialdramon is losing energy fast and if we don't do something soon then he'll die!"
"But what can we do?" Kari asked "Shadowmon is too powerful."
"I don't think we can do anything." Ken said "Imperialdramon is going to die unless we can somehow give him an energy boost."
"It would take a miracle to save us now." Davis said. For once he had no witty comebacks or anything even slightly positivie to say.
"But miracles happen every single day, they do." Tai said.
"Tai I think it's time we face the facts." Matt said "We've run out of options. The time has come for us to surrender."
"Are you crazy?!" Tai shouted "We've been in tight spots before and we've always pulled through! And now you're telling me that we should just give up?!"
"I know this is hard for you to understand but I'm afraid the answer is yes." Matt said "If we press on we'll only end up getting ourselves killed!"
"I don't care what you think!" Tai said "If we give up now then there's no hope for Equestria and no hope for the digital world and Earth. We have to stop Shadowmon here and now or everything we've ever held dear will be destroyed!"
"Tai please calm down." Izzy said "Trust me when I say this isn't easy for any of us. But like it or not we can't do anything. For now surrendering is the only option we have."
"Then maybe it's time you guys found yourself a different leader!" Tai said "Because I'm not going to just give up. I thought it was obvious by now that the digidestined never give up!"
"Those are some words of wisdom but they'll do us little good." Cody said "At the least if we surrender we might be able to contact Gennai and come up with another plan."
"That will never work!" Tai said "Shadowmon isn't your average villian you see in some Saturday morning cartoon show, he's smart and he'll catch on real fast."
"So then what's your plan Einstein?!" Izzy said "If you've got a better plan then by all means go ahead and tell us!"
"I haven't had time to come up with another plan!" Tai said.
"Then we have no choice but to go with the one that we currently have!" Yolei said "I know it sucks but there's nothing we can do."
"Well maybe we can't but Twilight and her friends can!" Tai said.
"Are you suggesting we try to hit Shadowmon with the Elements of Harmony?" Twilight said.
"Yes." Tai said.
"I guess that could work." Twilight said "Alright girls get ready!"
"STOP!" called a booming female voice "YOUR PLAN WILL NOT WORK!"
"It's the royal Canterlot voice." Twilight said.
"Who dares stand against me now?!" Shadowmon asked.
"I do!" replied a pink alicorn who came flying in from what seemed like nowhere.
"And I do too!" replied a white unicorn stallion with a dark blue mane and tail with a lighter blue streak runing through it.
"Princess Cadence! Prince Shining Armor!" Shadowmon said "I should've known you two would show up sooner or later! I see you're itching to settle the score from last time!"
"Darn right we are!" Shining Armor said "And this time you won't be so lucky."
"We'll see about that!" Shadowmon said.
Twilight ran off to join the fight.
"No wait Twilight!" Tai shouted in vain.
Twilight charged up her horn and fired a blast at the same time as Cadence and Shining Armor. The blasts caught Shadowmon by surprise and although the magical blasts did little more then give him a good smack on the wrists they made him very angry.
"You shall all pay dearly for that!" Shadowmon said "Shadow Orbs!"
Twilight, Cadence, and Shining Armor teleported away just before the attack hit them.
"That's right run like the cowards you are!" Shadowmon said "You'll have to face me eventually!"
Twilight, Cadence, and Shining Armor emerged at the crater were Imperialdramon lay. He was still alive but his energy level was droping fast.
"Twilight don't ever do that again." Tai said "You had me worried."
"Why are you so worried about me?" Twilight asked after she and Cadence did their friendly greeting. "I mean I get that we're coltfriend and fillyfriend but even so I don't think you need to be so overprotective."
"I'm just so worried that I might lose you." Tai said "I had a dream last night where your horn broke off fighting that monster from my previous dream. And then you died. I didn't want to tell you this at first but now I realize that I couldn't live with myself if that actually happened."
"Well I appreciate your concern but I can handle myself. I'm not helpless." Twilight said.
"I never said you were." Tai said "By the way who are these two?"
"They are Princess Cadence, my old foalsiter and Prince Shining Armor my B.B.B.F.F." Twilight said.
There was an akward pause from the digidestined and their partner digimon.
"That means big brother best friend forever." Twilight explained.
"Oh." the digidestined and their partner digimon said.
"We came as soon as we learned that Sombra was back!" Cadence said "It's too bad we couldn't teleport here but such a feat would've left us exhausted."
"Why did you tell us to stop?" Tai asked.
"We were about to use the Elements of Harmony." Fluttershy said.
"And then you just shouted and told us to stop." Rarity said "What gives?"
"I'm afraid that the Elements of Harmony alone will not be enough to defeat Shadowmon." Cadence said "And of course Imperialdramon even in his Paladin Mode can't hurt him. Therefore the only way you'll be able to even stand a chance against him is if you combine your powers. Only by merging the Elements of Harmony with the Crests of The Digidestined can you hope to achieve victory."
"That sounds like a good idea but how are we going to pull it off?" Rainbow Dash asked "Shadowmon is sure to catch on."
"I'll serve as a distraction." Cadence said.
"But what if your horn gets damaged?" Twilight asked.
"I'll be fine trust me." Cadence said. "Anyway while I'm fighting Shadowmon my loyal husband will cast a protective shield spell. But this will only buy you a few minutes at best so you'd better be ready to fight!"
"We will be." Tai said "You can count on it." the rest of the digidestined gathered around him and formed a circle as did Twilight and her friends.
"Good luck to all of you." Cadence said and with that she took off. "Hey Shadowmon how about a little one on one?!"
"I don't see why not!" Shadowmon said "You should serve well as entertainment!"
"Well good because here I come!" Cadence said, launching a powerful magic blast from her horn.
Meanwhile Shining Armor had managed to put up his trademark shield spell. It covered the digidestined, their partner digimon, Imperialdramon, and the Elements of Harmony bearers.
"Now's your chance!" Shining Armor said "Combine your powers!"
"O.k. here goes." Tai said "Are you ready for this Twilight?!"
The digidestined began concentrating all their energy into their crests. One by one they began to glow.
"Courage!" Tai shouted.
"Friendship!" Matt shouted.
"Love!" Sora shouted.
"Knowledge!" Izzy shouted.
"Sincerity!" Mimi shouted.
"Reliability!" Joe shouted.
"Hope!" T.K. shouted.
"Light!" Kari shouted.
"Miracles!" Davis shouted.
"Kindness!" Ken shouted.
"Purity!" Yolei shouted.
"Faith!" Cody shouted.
A wide range of colors ranging from orange to brown emerged and shot into the sky, forming a single beam. This was the cue for the Elements of Harmony bearers.
"Honesty!" Applejack shouted.
"Laughter!" Pinkie Pie shouted.
"Generosity!" Rarity shouted.
"Kindness!" Fluttershy shouted.
"Loyalty!" Rainbow Dash shouted.
"Magic!" Twilight shouted.
This time a rainbow of light emerged and shot into the sky.
The two beams flew down and struck Imperialdramon.
"I can feel the power!" he shouted, he was now able to stand up. His wounds began to disappear. Then he shouted "Imperialdramon mode change to!"
There was a blinding flash of light, no one could see what was happening. If they could however they would've seen a gaint horn growing on Imperialdramon's forehead, and his whole body changing shape. Finally after only a minute Imperialdramon called out "Alicorn Mode!" and the light faded.
The digidestined, their partner digimon, the Elements of Harmony bearers, and Shining Armor looked up and were amazed. Imperialdramon had a horn on his forehead. His whole body was now rainbow colored. His wings were more like those of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. His hands and legs looked more like hooves and his face seemed to be more equine like. But the biggest change was that at six different locations on his body he had the Elements of Harmony attached to him. On his head rested the Crown of Friendship. Around his neck hung the Necklace of Honesty. On his left arm was attached the Necklace of Laughter. On his right arm the Necklace of Generosity. On his left leg the Necklace of Kindness. And on his right leg the Necklace of Loyalty.
"Whoa!" Tai said "That's amazing!"
"Allow me to introduce myself!" Imperialdramon shouted.

Thanks to the power of your crests and the Elements of Harmony I've managed to power myself up again. In my new Alicorn Mode I can fly much faster and my new horn can fire off magical blasts and cast spells. I'm fairly certain that this mode is perhaps my most powerful one yet.

Shining Armor dropped the shield spell. "Go get him Imperialdramon!" he shouted.
"With pleasure!" Imperialdramon said and he flew off.
Cadence had been able to avoid every attack Shadowmon threw at her and kept firing off magical blasts with her horn.
"Why won't you hold still so I can crush you?!" Shadowmon said.
"Because I'm just that good." Cadence said. Then out of the corner of her eye she saw Imperialdramon in his new Alicorn Mode flying towards her. After firing off a blast to stun Shadowmon for a little bit Cadence flew over to meet Imperialdramon.
"So what do you think of my new Alicorn Mode your majesty?" Imperialdramon asked.
"It's impressive." Cadence said "But it's missing something and I know what is it." Her horn flashed and a shiny new sword appeared. Imperialdramon grabbed it. "This sword is enchanted because it is made up of the same minerals as the Crystal Heart. This is the only thing I can think of that will defeat Shadowmon! Now go and bring peace back to Equestria!"
"As you wish your highness!" Imperialdramon said and he flew off to face Shadowmon who by this point had recovered from the stunning blast. When he saw Imperialdramon he was surpisingly not even the least bit worried.
"Hmph so you've managed to power up have you?!" Shadowmon said "Well it won't do you any good! Now you'll witness my true power!" and with that Shadowman fired a blast of dark magic into the sky. Before long he pulled out an amulet with a red jewel in the center and placed it around his neck. "Behold! The Alicorn Amulet! The instrument of your destruction!" Shadowmon said "Now taste the power of my new and improved Shadow Orbs!" Imperialdramon dodged them with ease. Now Shadowmon started to grow worried "Well then how about this?!" he said "Death Stare!" he cast a powerful glaring looking at Imperialdramon who just shrugged it off as if it were nothing. "I must have underestimated him! Well I won't make that mistake again! Now it's time to pull out all the stops!" Shadowmon thought to himself. "Shadow Mist!" he shouted. Dark mist similar to the mist surronding his body appeared and flew directly at Imperialdramon who didn't even bother trying to dodge it.
Shadowmon thought he had won "YES!" he shouted. "You were a fool to challenge me Imperialdramon! Oh well at least you served as a good example of what happens to anyone who gets in my way!"
"This fight's not over yet Shadowmon! The real fool was you!" Imperialdramon called out as he emerged from the shadows unharmed.
"What but how did you survive that?! No one could've been able to survive it!" Shadowmon said.
"Well I guess that makes me the first!" Imperialdramon said "And hopefully the last!" And with that Imperialdramon thrust his Crystal Sword into Shadowmon, impaling him on the forehead just like he had done with his Omni Sword in his Paladin Mode.
Then there was silence. Time seemed to stand still as the digidestined, their partner digimon, the Elements of Harmony bearers, Shining Armor, and Cadence looked up at Imperialdramon. Had he succeeded?
Finally after what seemed like forever Imperialdramon removed his Crystal Sword. There was a crack of light where the sword had entered Shadowmon's head. The crack slowly began to make its way down until it covered all of Shadowmon's body.
"No! No this cannot be!" Shadowmon said.
"Oh but it is!" Imperialdramon said "It's over Shadowmon! You've lost! And you know what that means!"
"NNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Shadowmon shouted as his body began to delete. "I was so close to finally ruling over everything! And you all ruined it! ARRRRRRRAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHH! Do not think that this is over, you haven't seen the last of the mighty King Sombra! All of your foes were the result of me Elements of Harmony so don't think you're special just because you've beat them! You'd all better watch your backs because one day when you least expect it I'll be back! And as for you digidestined, don't think you're in the clear either! Somehow I'll find a way to conquer your world and the digital world and you won't be able to stop me! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Shadowmon kept on laughing until he was nothing but data. Sombra's shadow flew off and the data vanished.
The sky above Ponyville cleared and the sun shined brightly.
"We did it!" Tai shouted "We've won!" This brought about a chorus of cheers from everyone. Equestria was saved.
The violet portal that had brought so many evil digimon to Equestria had not yet vanished despite Shadowmon's defeat.
"That's weird." Izzy said as he looked up at the sky "The portal should've closed by now."
"You're right." Tai said "Something's up."
"Digidestined come in, this is Gennai." Gennai said "I'm speaking to you from the digital world. I've managed to establish communications with Equestria. I've also managed to get a lock on that portal. Right now I've got under control so it won't close, but I don't know how long it will last."
"Did you see our battle Gennai?" Davis asked.
"I did, and I'm impressed." Gennai said "But that's not what's important here. Right now you need to find a way to remove the dark magic from the portal so no more evil digimon can use it."
"I can fix it!" Imperialdramon said. He flew up to the portal and shot a powerful beam of white magic from his horn. The magic went into the portal and slowly began to purify it, removing all the dark magic and replacing it with light magic. Then once that was done the Elements of Harmony that were on his body began to glow. Channeling their energy into the Crystal Sword Imperialdramon shot a rainbow pillar into the portal.
Everyone watched as the portal began to expand. Suddenly it was big enough to fit at least three Imperialdramon's and still have room left over.
"I've stablized the portal so that it can stay open for as long as we need it to." Imperialdramon said.
"So then that means that our adventure in Equestria is over." Tai said sadly.
"I'm afraid so." Gennai said "But this is your only chance to return to the digital world. If you stay in Equestria I don't know if we'll ever be able to get another chance to bring you home."
"But it's not fair." Biyomon said "There's still so much we have yet to see in Equestria."
"I know." Gabumon said "But we have no choice but to return home. Everyone is probably worried sick about us."
"Gabumon's right." Matt said "It's time for us to go."
"Ah, do you have to?" Pinkie Pie asked "We could have lots of fun."
"Yes we do Pinkie Pie." Sora said "I really am sorry I only got to help you babysit the Cake Twins once. I'm gonna miss you."
"I'll miss you too Sora." Pinkie Pie said "Heck we'll miss all of you." The rest of the Elements of Harmony bearers nodded.
One by one each of the digidestined along with their parnter digimon (excluding Davis and Ken because their partners were still merged into Imperialdramon) said goodbye to Twilight and her friends. They made sure to thank them for taking them in when they had nowhere else to go."
Tai and Twilight were the last one to say goodbye to each other. They both had tears in their eyes.
"So I take it you have to go huh?" Twilight asked, she didn't even try to hide the sadness in her voice.
"Yes I do." Tai said sadly "It was nice getting to know you Twilight. And I'm honored to have been your coltfriend, if only for a little while. I guess all good things must end eventually."
"If you really want you can stay in Equestria with me." Twilight said "I could turn you into a pony and we could have a proper relationship. Maybe someday we could even get married."
Tai thought about the offer for a moment and then he said to Twilight "Thank you for the offer but I'm afraid I have to say no. As much as I would love to stay I can't. Like it or not I am a digidestined, and that means I have a responsiblity to protect my universe. That includs the digital world and my home, planet Earth. I know this isn't easy, trust me it hurts to say this, but don't spend all your time remembering me. Move on with your life and do what you'd do if we'd never met."
"But I could never forget you." Twilight said sobbing "You really understood me. You always stood by me even when I wouldn't have blamed you for turning against me. You made me laugh, and you treated me with kindness. You always told me how you were feeling. And you always spent as much time as you could with me. In a way you represent all six of the Elements of Harmony. So I can't forget you, not ever."
"Well maybe you don't have to." Tai said "Hey Izzy do you think we could possibly come back to Equestria sometimes?"
"Well I'd have to talk to Gennai about that but I'm sure he'd say yes." Izzy said.
"Then maybe we could come back to Equestria on a vaction. You know just to get away from it all. And we could keep in touch using our computers." Tai said.
"Tai that's a prodigious idea!" Izzy said "Sometimes i think you're even smarter than me."
"Well I wouldn't go so far as to say that." Tai said blushing. "Anyway I'd say goodbye Twilight but this really isn't goodbye. It's more of a see you later. We'll keep in touch." And with that Tai and Twilight kissed each other. It was a long and happy kiss. And then Tai along with his trust partner Agumon hoped onto Imperialdramon.
"Hang on tight." Imperialdramon said "Thank you for choosing air Imperialdramon." The mighty Mega flapped his wings and disappered into the portal.
Soon the portal which was now more of a light pink shrunk and closed. Twilight looked up and said "I hope we meet again soon Tai. I promise I'll always remember you." A single tear streaked down her cheek and touched the ground but she was smiling.
"Well now Cadence and I had better get going Twily." Shining Armor said "The Crystal Empire needs us."
"Take care you two." Twilight said.
"We will." Cadence said "And perhaps we'll see each other again soon." And with that the Prince and Princess of the Crystal Empire left.
All the ponies who had appeared to watch the battle dispersed soon afterward and went about their daily business.
The only ponies that remained now were the six Elements of Harmony bearers.
"Well I guess we won't be needing these again anytime soon." Twilight said and one by one she levitated them off of herself and her friends and into the box they had originally been in. "I'll send them back to the Princess' first thing tomorrow." she said.
"Hey, are you feeling okay sugarcube?" Applejack asked.
"Yes I am." Twilight said.
"Good." Rainbow Dash said.
"You know we don't like to see our friend looking down in the dumps." Pinkie Pie said.
"Now what do you say we all head back and write a letter to the Princess' stating what we've learned about friendship? After all I think we've all learned something from these past few days." Rarity said.
"That sounds good." Fluttershy said. And with that the six friends set off.
"Welcome back digidestined." Gennai said "And before any of you ask yes you can go back to Equestria on occassion. Just don't stay there for too long."
"Thanks Gennai." Tai said "That's all we can ask for."
"Good, now you should all head home. Your friends and family are waiting for you." Gennai said.
After returning to Earth and taking the time to reassure their parents they were okay the digidestined went their separate ways.
When Tai and Kari returned home Tai headed for the computer. And there waiting for him was what one would say was like a video, but to Tai it was a gateway into another universe, the magical land of Equestria. Home to his new marefriend Twilight Sparkle.
"Glad to see you're o.k. Tai." Twilight said "I just finished sending a friendship report to Princess Celestia along with my friends. I just thought I'd check to ensure this special link I've established is working."
"Trust me, it is." Tai said "Sorry I don't have much time to talk right now but I just wanted to see if you knew how to reach me. I'll talk to you again tomorrow. Bye."
"Bye." Twilight said. And with that the video ended and the computer was shut down.
"Glad to see we can maintain a long distance relationship." Tai said to no one in particular as he headed to bed. It was the first time he'd sleep in his own bed in 10 days.
"Now if only everyone knew about Equestria like they do digimon." Tai thought to himself.
