Sent to Equestria as a League of Legends Summoner. Now I find myself with a new thirst for knowledge. With no way back I might as well become the best mage I can be.

Greetings I am Thrin. After purchasing a robe from a anime/video game store in the local Mall I'm transported to Equestria the day of Luna's banishment with the knowledge I can now transform into the Champions from League of Legends, and the first thing I do is intentionally get myself trapped in stone. Now one thousand years later I'm free, but soon I learn I'm not the only one sent here. Are they friend or foe? Join me on this journey to find out.
Thrin's Token's message: I am Thrin an Heir to Legends and the Half-Elf of the Wild Woods, if you need my aid in battle, problems with magic or merely some advice then hold this to the sky and say my name.

Edit: I've been thinking about reworking Thrin's story. more info can be found here

Chapter 1: Time to Put All That Training to Use

View Online

Even after one thousand years, I am always amazed at how annoying it is to have the sun shine its light right into my eyes first thing in the morning. “DAMN YOU TIA! I KNOW YOU DID THIS ON PURPOSE!”

“Do you mind not shouting so early in the morning? I think they heard you in Griffonstone.”

“Sorry Discord. Hopefully this will end soon, and when we get free please take my advice. DON’T try to take over Equestria but try to talk to Tia to find a way you can make chaos without getting stoned. I know you can be a good person. Heck its thanks to you I am still sane after all these years and learned more control over my powers.” I said.

“I make no promises on that but I’ll think about it.”

“Thanks Discord.” After that small conversation, we were both silent. After a few hours, a couple of guards walked past us doing the daily rounds, one had a grey coated unicorn the other had a white coated earth pony.

At least these two were talking and not the normal silent ones. “My daughter is coming to see Canterlot with the rest of her class later today, it’s going to be nice to see her again.” The one with the grey coat said.

“Good for you man! My family is all the way in Manehatten. We rarely get a chance to see each other.” Mr. White Coat responded. “Where are they coming from?”

“Ponyville. How about I introduce you to my little Sunny during our next brake?”

With that last comment, they walked out of hearing range. “Well Discord, I think today is the day. I think today is the day of Freedom!” I said excitement evident in my voice.

“I hope your right! One thousand years can give you such a crick in the neck!” Right after Discord said this a group of fillies and a magenta mare with a pink mane and tale with a lighter pink streak down the middle. Seeing the fight between the Cutie Mark Crusaders in person was somewhat depressing, but at least it didn’t last long and Discord was free. “Well my friend it looks like you were right. So, allow me to set you free as well.” With a snap of his talon my stone prison shattered letting the intimidating ten-foot-tall, and heavily armored, form of Mordekaiser the Iron Revenant stands tall with a large spiked mace in my right hand.

“Yes! Now I can finally look like myself again.” With that an ultramarine flash of light shone for a split second and the imposing form of Mordekaiser was gone. In its place, was a smaller humanoid figure. Standing at a solid six-foot-tall, none of his features could be seen because of this full-length dark purple rope that hides the face in shadows. “Thanks man. It’s great to be me again. Now are you going to listen to my… and your already gone, aren’t you? Damn it. I hope he takes my advice. hmm now then I know what I am going to do! Time to sit here and do absolutely nothing!” Sitting down on the stone pedestal I was standing on for the last 1300 years and waited, knowing that eventually Celestia would come look to see if Discord was free if he didn’t take my advice. Plus, I didn’t want to risk being attacked by her guards if I roamed around the city.

*five hours later*

“Place Discord back onto his pedestal.” Huh? Oh, crud I fell asleep! What happened? Slowly I got off the ground and looked around. what I saw didn’t make me happy. Turns out Discord had ignored my advice and was once again a lawn ornament. Well might as well talk to Celly.

“Hello Celly long time no see!” I said causing Celestia and her guards to turn in surprise.

“Great Mordekaiser is free now I need to find him as well. what else can go...”

“Celestia I am only going to say this once. NEVER say that cursed phrase. Nothing good EVER comes from it. As for Mordekaiser your looking at him, this is my true form. Now before anyone dose anything drastic I would like to say. Sorry about ‘attacking’ you all that time ago even if all I did was walk up and make a cliché villains speech. I would like a chance to explain exactly why I did.” As I was saying all this Celestia went through a few different expressions. First annoyed at the interruption, then shock at the fact I was Mordekaiser and finally a more neutral look. Before she could say anything a small wisp of green fire came flying down from the sky and stopped before Celestia and turned into a rolled-up scroll.

“So, that’s what it looks like from this side, not really sure what I was expecting though. So, what’s the letter say Tia?” I’m glad Celly’s guards are just standing there waiting patiently. Even if they are pointing their weapons at me. Now that’s interesting. That Pegasus has a war hammer didn’t expect that. “Celly please tell me that even if you didn’t finish that cursed phrase. Murphy’s Law was still invoked?” I asked worried since looking at Celestia I could see the fear etched into her eyes.

“It would seem so Mordekaiser. Ponyville is being invaded by being the likes have never been seen before.”

“Please describe them so that your guards can get the word out to be on the watch and I know what we are dealing with, and before you think I had anything to do with this. I could have left at any point after Discord set me free. By the way Discord I am very disappointed you didn’t take my advice in not trying to take over Equestria.” I shook my head at that last part.

“My student Twilight reports that most of the creatures stand on two legs like you. Most have green skin, are as muscled as a Minotaur, and armed with pick axes and spiked maces. They are also clothed only with a leather belt with some kind of skull like design on the silver belt buckle. They also seem to have orange tusks” Crap! Why are the orcs from Dragon’s Crown here?!

“The rest are a mix of three different kinds of monsters. The first are a green slug like creature with two arms that end in a four-fingered hand with giant lips. What can only be described as walking fungus with faces. Twilight only caught a glimpse of the last kind. Small beings in brown cloaks with simple wood bows, but there were only five of them and they disappeared moments after Twilight saw them.” Great as if the Orcs were enough. We also had Bodkin Archers, Funghoul, and Lips from Dragon Quest, running around Equestria this could only mean bad things.

How the hell did they all get here? “Celestia I know we have had a somewhat rocky past but please believe me when I say I never had any intend on harming any one and will defend this land with my life. I promise to explain later but right now I am going to get over there to save Ponyville.” Celestia looked at me for a moment then finally nodded.

“Very well but only because short on options right now, and know this I WILL hold you to that promise.” With that done Celestia turned to one of her Unicorn guards

“I want two battalions moving out as soon as possible and the word sent to all city's and guard stations to be on the look out.” The Unicorn saluted and ran off.

“Thank you Celestia, but Mordekaiser is not my name. please call me Thrin. Looks like it’s time to put all that training to good use. CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION. SHEN!” at these three words and another flash of ultramarine light my form had changed. Standing just over six foot tall I was clothed in navy blue robe and mask, simple brown leather boots, and gloves and two mid length wakizashis strapped to my back.

“Glad I managed to memorize Twilight magic signature when she first used the Elements.” I thought before saying, “STAND UNITED!” When I was training with Discord in the realm within my mind I learned many things, a few being that I could unleash a champions ‘ultimate’ at any time, another was that with the right amount of focus I could make skills that had a charge time, work almost instantaneously but at the cost of being a little more unfocused and sometimes fail completely. From training with Discord I knew that if this spell became unfocused I could arrive anywhere from three feet to two miles away from my desired location, so I waited the 5 seconds for the teleport to Twilight's location.

When the five seconds was up my body glowed purple and disappeared leaving no trace of where I was standing. I reappeared right in front of Twilight facing away from her. That was way to close! I'm now staring strait at a seven foot tall orc mace raised in the air who had a look of surprise on his face. “Wow I knew you guy were ugly but I didn’t know how ugly! You orcs want to take this town? WELL YOU HAVE TO DO IT OVER MY DEAD BODY! CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION ALISTAR!” A flash of ultramarine and instead of a six and a half foot shinobi, stood a seven and a half foot dark blue furred Minotaur.

Lifting my right fist above my head I proclaimed. “Time for evil to be Pulverized!” Instead of smashing the ground I brought my fist down onto the orc’s head crushing his skull. Glancing back at Twilight I saw she was in shock.

“Snap out of it Twilight! Now is not the time to space out.” That worked with a shake of her head to clear her thoughts.

“Thanks. I don’t even want to think of what would have happened if you didn’t show up in time, also who are you?”

“My name is Thrin. I’ll explain more later. Right now, I need to kill as many of the orcs and monsters as I can until the Royal Guard gets here to help. In the meantime I want you to get as many ponies as you can to someplace safe.”

“No need everyone else is already inside town hall.” Twilight said.

“Then why are you out here?” I asked.

“I was trying to get to my home to see if I had missed any magic books that might help.” She replied.

“In that case, I want you to teleport to town hall and put up the strongest barrier you can.” I order.

“All right.” With that Twilight, teleported away but I could tell she was still shaken up from the experience.

I looked around. Good thing town hall is the tallest building in town. “Alright, town hall is to my right. If I had to guess, most of the monsters are heading their now. So I should try to get their first. CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION SHEN!” Using Shen's superior athletic skills I jumped onto the closest house and ran across the roof tops. Good thing to as a few Lips had managed to climb there way up and were heading in the direction of town hall. With the element of surprise all the lips in my pass fell in one strike each. Surveying the area from atop the house I could see two main details. First what that a lavender dome of magic was covering the town hall preventing any of the invaders from getting in. Second was that, if my quick head count was correct there were at least 35 Orcs, 20 Funghouls and 19 Lips but where are the Bodkin Archers?

(Looks like Twilight got the barrier up. I better try to finish this quickly. Ok, gotta think quickly, I have three more champion ‘slots’ and two summoner spells for today. Annie’s fire spells and Tibbers could help. Ahri is always a good choice against multiple foes, but then again Ekko’s rewind ability could help... no better go for the magic on this one besides Ahri’s charm spell will help here, even though I HATE using it. So the last slot is going to Master Yi his Wuju style and speed should be able to tare through them easily besides I really want to use that sword in real combat. Glad Mordekaiser doesn’t take up any of my ‘slots’ for the day, since the transformations only counts the ‘slot’ of the day I turned into them, because there is no way I’m turning in to him again if I can help it.)

(For spells, Ghost might be able to help keep me safe and Flash will allow me to teleport around the area quickly. Or should I save it for my Healing spell? Hmm no time to think this through I’ll just have to wait and see with one of the two I need.) I thought before giving a quick nod of my head I jumped aiming to land on one of the orcs more in the middle of the town square. “TIME TO DIE MONSTERS! CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION ALISTAR! PULVERIZE!” I landed right on target. Alistar’s weight and his Pulverize ability, not only caused the orc I landed on to die but with the added momentum from my jump, when I brought my fists to the ground for the shock wave all of the Lips and Funghouls around me got sent flying into some of the other monsters.

“CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION! ANNIE! COME ON OUT TIBBERS!” In a sprout a fire a bear appeared. Just as tall as Alistar, his body was a light in flames and i had changed to a young girl with dark red hair, a pink cat ear head band and wearing a purple dress under a dark blue tank-top with a pink backpack, dark purple and pink striped socks and black shoes. Tibbers immediately began tearing into the Orcs in the area, and the monsters that were to close to him were getting hurt just by being near him do to a vortex of flames that surrounded him. The Funghouls around him simply burst into flames and were burned to ash in mere moments. “Tibbers don’t go near the houses. We don’t want to burn this place to the ground.” I yelled my voice now a slightly higher pitch. and a little more feminine. Then I threw a Disintegrate spell past a couple Orcs to hit a third in the face burning the two it past and making the third scream in pain as he dropped his weapons and grab his face. “Hehe you smell like… burning!” Taking a quick look around I saw that the fire emanating from Tibbers had turn all of the Funghouls into ashes and a lot of the lips were now dried up husks, but there were still 15 orcs and 6 lips left.

Now seems like a good time to change things up, but then I heard a sound that filled me with dread, a scared child's yell. “HEEELP!” Looking to my right I saw one of the lips closing in on a small grey Pegasus. Immediately I yelled “CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION! MASTER YI! FLASH!” In a burst of golden light the lips found its self with a sword sticking through its face. Pulling my blade out of the corpse I swiftly and gently picked up the foal in my left arm. “Don’t worry little one. I’ll get you to safety.” Now that I closer, I could tell that this is a young colt. “Ghost!” With that both myself and the foal in my arms became intangible just a moment before an orc’s pick-ax passed through my head. Ignoring the Orcs I turn and ran as fast as I could towards town hall.

Unlike the few orcs who were bashing the barrier with all their might, I passed though it as if it wasn’t there. “Your safe now young one, go find your family.” I whispered as I gently placed the foal onto the wooden floor.

The front doors opened up and a fully grown dark gray male Pegasus with a came rushing out. “RUMBLE! Oh thank Celestia your safe! Thank you!”

“Your welcome. I’m glad he isn’t harmed.” I responded glad to have a moment to catch my breath. I turn to look past the Orcs and was glad to see no enemy reinforcements had come.

“Aren’t you going back out there?” The older Pegasus asked.

“The spell I used to get Rumble and my self, inside the barrier can’t be used in rapid succession. You could say it has a ‘cool down’ period. As much as it pains me to say this, I cant use it again for the next 3 minutes, but that gives me a little more time to plan a counter attack.”

At this I heard not only Thunderlane’s groan but many others from inside town hall. “Don’t worry Princess Celestia has already ordered for solders to mobilize. Once the cool down ends I will head out again and hold off the monsters until the guards arrive, if not wipe them out entirely.” a sigh of relief this time as I thought. ‘If I can get behind them, then use Ahri’s Charm spell on one of the orcs. He might be able to kill one or two of the others before they swarm him maybe more if I send him after the small fry first. I’m to close to the building to call for Tibbers again and I really don’t want to miss with fire magic so I guess Annie’s benched for the rest of the fight.’ A new voice spoke up, a cocky one this time but I could hear a little fear.

“So big guy whats the plan?” Turning my head to the left I saw a blue Pegasus with a rainbow mane and tail.

“First I need wait for the cool down to end. I would say more but I don’t want to let them know my strategy, if they can hear us.” I could tell Rainbow didn’t like the fact I couldn’t tell her but nodded her head understanding my point. “You should go back inside. I want you and your friends to try to keep everyone's spirits up, and keep the kids from watching. They are to young to see this.” Rainbow bobbed her head in agreement and went back inside closing the door behind her. “Ghost’s cool down is just about done, and Flash will be done in about 2 minute. Time to see if my plan works.” I take a few steps back, take a breath then run at the barrier. “CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION! AHRI! GHOST!” once again my form shifted, this time was a slender women with black hair braided down to mid back, in a red kimono like dress, two fox like ears on the top of her head and what seemed to be one very fluffy white tail.

While intangible I dashed through all of the monsters who had gathered in front of the barrier. For some reason none of the orcs or remaining lips didn’t seem to notice me. Once behind all of the monsters I stopped and turn around. Luckily there was one orc at the back of the group who would make an easy target. ‘It’s a good thing these monsters are dumb. If they surrounded the barrier instead of huddling in one place this could be a lot harder.’ Bringing a hand up I blew a kiss right at the orc’s back. “Charm. Now be a dear and kill your former allies will you? Feel free to start with the small ones.” Yup no matter how many time I use this spell, whether in training or real combat, it is always awkward. As soon as the spell hit the orc he immediately forgot all about trying to push him self closer to the barrier and started to kill the Lips with brutal strikes.

In a matter of seconds the rest of the lips were dead and the Charmed Orc was attacking his kin. While they were dealing with the traitor I had moved to the left side of the group and sent the Orb of Deception into the group. I threw it through the hole group getting about 9 Orcs and when I called it back all 9 died. ‘This is weird. My attacks are cutting them down to easily. Is it because of all the training I did with Discord? Or is it because the Champions from League of Legends are affected by different rules then the characters in Dragon’s Crown?’ I had little time to think on this because remaining 5 orcs had finished killing the one I Chamed and had turned to face me. As one they charged. “SPIRIT RUSH!” I dashed around them in three short bursts firing a ball of pure spirit energy at one of the orcs with each burst.

“Oh look its down to just the three of you and the bodkin archers who apparently ran off. I’ll have to hunt them down later, but for now time to end this. FOX-FIRE!” With that three blue balls of fire but into life. Each ball of Fox-Fire flew at a different orcs and just like the the battle was over, or so I thought until an orc twice the size of the others appeared on the other side of town square. Unlike the others this orc had leather armor with a metal shoulder pad, and had a Zweihänder in one had. “So that’s what a Dragon’s Crown style Orc Chieftain really looks like. I always wondered. Glad its not just a palette swap like it appeared to be in the game.” As I was saying this the Chieftain roared a battle cry and charged. “I think I’ll need some more muscle here. CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION ALISTAR!” Out of the corner of my eye I saw that some ponies had come out of town hall. Probably to get a better view of the fight.

Before I could do anything else I felt 5 burning sensations pierce my back. ‘DAMN IT! This that to be because of those archers! They must have been hiding or getting in position so they could help this Chief!’ Right as I was thinking this the Chieftain raised his blade and brought it down slicing my from right should to my left hip. I dropped to a knee and held my chest. I could feel my blood seep out of the wound. When I got injured all the ponies who came out to watch gasped in horror. Before my mind could fully comprehend what had happened my body acted on its own. “CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION SHEN!” While the ultramarine light temporarily blinded the Orc Chieftain I activated my Flash spell again. In a span of a few seconds after I vanished all five of the Archers flew head first at the Chieftain and as they collided with him everyone heard five loud *CRACK* as their necks broke.

The Chieftain shrugged of the impacts like they were nothing and looked around the area trying to find me, but when I threw them I never intended to damage the giant orc. I just wanted get rid of the archers. While the Chieftain look around trying to find me, I was sneaking up behind him one of my wakizashis in my hand in a reverse grip. When I got right behind him I jumped with all my might. Gripping my blade in both hands I brought it down stabbing it right though the crown of his head. With a mighty thud the Chieftain fell with me still standing on his back, his blade lying next to him on the ground. I pulled my blade out of the orc and jumped off my fallen foe.

Chapter 2: To Much Exposition!

“Finally, I think that’s all of them.” To confirm my thought I saw that the barrier around town hall, with a sigh of relief I changed back to my true self. Only to immediately lean forward and retched, luckily nothing came up. For once I was glad the last thing I ate was over a thousand years ago.

“FOUL CREATURES WE WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO HARM OUR SUBJECTS!” Oh of course! Only now did Celestia and her guards show up.

“You’re a bit late Tia.” I said my voice hoarse from the retching. “All the monsters are dead.”

“Princess!” I looked up to see Twilight and her friends rushing to great Celestia, while her guards split up some going to check on the residents in town hall the rest spreading out around the town.

“I am so glad all are safe. Was anyone injured?” Celestia asked.

“Yes but no ones hurt that bad, Princess. He arrived just in time to save me from one of those orcs. He even saved Rumble and got him into the barrier I set up.” While Twilight and Celestia were talking Twilight’s friend Applejack walked up.

“You ok?”

“I will be, but I could use a cup of water.” Almost as soon as the words left my mouth a plastic cup held by a pink hoof was offered.

“Thanks.” I said before I sipped gingerly at the water.

“Thrin I must thank you for saving my little ponies, why don’t we go to Sugarcube Corner to talk.” I nodded glad that the retching had ended quickly.

Just as I finished the cup of water Pinkie gave me, three of Celestia’s unicorn guards came up and saluted. Two of them held a treasure chest in their magic. “Report Sargent.”

The unicorn in the center responded. “Princess, no monsters to report. Minimal collateral damage and no major injuries. Our healers are already taking care of the injured. However Privet Sky-Fire did find something. It’s a treasure chest, I have ordered that no one is to open it until you see it.”

“Thank you Sargent.” Hmm both Dragon’s Crown and Dragon Quest enemies drop loot when defeated I wonder.

“Princess is it alright if I open the treasure chest? I have some knowledge on the monsters that attacked, so I might be able to identify whats in the chest.”

“Very well Thrin.” Celestia said as she gave me a thoughtful look.

“Thank you Princess.” With a nod from the Sargent the two holding the chest placed it onto the ground as I approached. When it was opened the chest held mostly gold coins and jewels, but also a red bandanna and two brown bags, one with the words Moonwort Bulbs the other with Medicinal Herb. What I didn’t expect was a book titled ‘Bestiary’. The book was a simple thick leather tome.

“So whats in the chest?” Rainbow asked.

“As I thought mostly gold and jewels, but there is also a red bandanna and two brown bags, one of Moonwort Bulbs the other of Medicinal Herbs. Moonwort Bulbs can help cure sleep and paralysis spells, while the Medicinal Herb can help heal many injuries, and if you have the right equipment you can fuse the Medicinal Herbs to make them more powerful.” As I spoke I reached into the bag and pulled out a Moonwort bulb, it look like a turnip but it skin was a pale white and one of the medicinal herbs, but since it’s in a small brown bag all you could see are it’s leaves. “As well as a bestiary which is a book cataloging different monsters.” I placed the herbs back into the chest and picked up the heavy book flipping through a few pages. The book had almost all the different monsters from Dragon Quest 8 and the two Joker games. There were some missing, namely the story bosses, and bonus/special monsters.

“Both the herbs and the book will help defend Equestria, but why did the treasure chest appear?” Twilight asked.

I shrugged. “I’m not sure but I have an idea, but I think it would be best to talk in private. Is there any where other then the Sugarcube Corner we can talk?”

Celestia nodded and motioned for us to follow while saying. “If that is the case let us talk in the library instead. Sargent I want somepony to take these bags and get them to a herbalist. I would like these bulbs in as many hospitals and magic research facilities as possible. As for the rest, keep it here and protected for now.”

“Of course Princess. I shall have Corporal Swift Blizzard take care of the herbs.”

“Before we go Princess, what are you going to do with the monsters?” I asked

“Most will be cremated, while others will be studied. As for there gear, it will placed in storage for now until we figure out what to do with it, and please bring the book with us.” Princess said the tone of her voice ending this conversation. The walk to Twilight’s library was quick.

When we entered I took a quick look around ‘yup bigger on the inside, I wonder how.’ One were all seated comfortable I said. “Before we get into the main conversation allow me to introduce myself. My name is Thrin and it a pleasure to meet all of you.” I said with a small bow of my head.

“Nice to meat you Thrin, my name is Twilight Sparkle and thank you for saving my life.”

“A pleasure, my name is Rarity.”

“The names Rainbow Dash.”

“Ah’m Applejack nice to meet ya.”

“Hi I’m Pinkie Pie!”

“Hello I’m Fluttershy.”

‘Hmm guess since I saved Twilight and town. Fluttershy feels she can trust me.’ I thought.

“Where did you get that robe if you don’t mind me asking? It’s plain but somehow exotic and elegant at the same time.” Rarity asked.

“I don’t mind. In fact the story of how I got this robe is the same as how I got sent to Equestria from another universe, before any of you say ‘that’s impossible’ I have one word for ya. Multiverse.” After I said this I could almost feel Twilight’s and Celestia’s incredulous look.

Celestia was silent for a moment before saying. "Did the monsters that attacked the town come from your world Thrin.”

“No Princess they didn’t, however my world did know of them though different video games. My world also knows of Equestria and many others. I would say we know of many different worlds though our works of fiction. How I don’t know. If I had to guess it would be that we got whispers from other worlds that inspired people to tell the stories.” Both Celestia and Twilight were deep in thought but I didn’t give them long to think as I kept talking. “The world I came from is very different to this one. Magic doesn’t exist, instead it’s a world of science, and there is only one sentient race on the planet.”

“So how did you get here Thrin?” Twilight asked.

“Their was a small anime and video game store in a mall near where I lived. While I was there I bought this robe and my sister bought plush of a two tailed cat. I bought it since I’m a fan of a game called ‘League of Legends’ and this robe is the same as what the Summoners wear. While the summoners never appeared in the game its self. They did appear in a few official videos. OH! I just realized you can’t see my face sorry about that.” While saying this I pulled the hood off. I had black hair that went down to my shoulders with a band of forest green going around my head, hazel colored eyes and slightly pointed ears. “What ever sent me here also turned me into a half-elf. I was human before coming here.”

“Now on the the explanation about why I ‘attacked’ Tia all that time ago. By which I mean I came up to her in the form of Mordekaiser and did the most cliche villains speech I could think of. Never even threw a punch. Insults yes for which I once again apologize, and the reason why is simply I wanted to be in this time period.”

“That’s it? Why didn’t you just talk to me.” Celestia asked surprised.

“One you had JUST banished Luna. Two if I came up to you and asked would you have taken me seriously or just think i was crazy? And last but not least everything I know about this world from the cartoon starts from when you first sent Twilight to Ponyville, since the show was about her and her friends.” I said extending a finger with each point.

“Before any of you ask the show was aimed at young girls but because of the excellent writing, great characters and lessens that are easy enough for kids to understand but stuff even adults have trouble with. Many people like the show. Now how close it is to reality I have no idea.” As I looked around I could tell each was deep in thought. Deciding to give them time I got up to look around the room to see if their were any books that interested me. ‘Lets see, looks like Twilight sorts the book by subject then by alphabetical order. Makes sense but I don’t see anything saying what subject is on which shelf. Better try to remember to suggest some subject plates. Now what to read while they think on what I told them. Hmmm ah here we go *Magic for beginners*. Might as well try to learn a little more about magic while I wait.‘

I took the book and sat back down. I read on the basics of levitation for about five minutes before Celestia looked at me and asked. “So what do you plan to do now Thrin?”

Looking up from the book I responded. “Not sure, but if it makes you feel better. I have no plans to ever conquer Equestria or any kingdom. Ruleing others has no interest to me. I detest the idea of slavery, and will fight any slaver I find. For now I just want to make friends and learn to better control my powers. As there are some forms I wont use yet since they use dark magic or are evil people. The only reason I turned into Mordekaiser back then was because the thought of him influencing me never crossed my mind back then. Maybe there is someone out there in the multy-verse who can safely use dark magic teach me to use it. Personally I believe no kind of power is by its nature evil, its just what people do with that power. While it may just be through games or tv shows I have seen people who have been tainted by the power of light to do evil.”

“How so Thrin?” Fluttershy asked.

“They believe all darkness must be destroyed no matter who uses it, even those who use the power to defend the land or have no choice in the situation they are in. One example is a group called the Scarlet Crusade. They are a group on a world called Azaroth. The Scarlet Crusade are many ways a religious cult that wishes to see all undead be eradicated. While in many ways a noble goal there two main groups of undead who DEFEND Azaroth that's called the Forsaken. It's true that they sometimes have other and sometimes darker goals but they will still defend their world with everything they've got. Before I go much farther into the explanation I just want you to know that I will be skipping some of the history for this summarization but this is still going to be a long story.” Everyone nodded understanding, they seemed to be hooked on my words.

“Once there was a kingdom called Lorderon. A beacon of light and justice, ruled by a kind king and his son Prince Arthas. Arthas loved his land and was being trained in the ways of a paladin by one of the best in the land Uther the Lightbringer. One day a plague appeared in Lorderon anyone infected by it became undead. While investigating Artha met the two responsible. A necromancer named Kel’Thuzad and a kind of demon called Nathrezim or Dreadlord named Mal’Ganis. Arthas killed Kel’Thuzad and chased Mal’ganis far to the north to a continent called Northrend. There Arthas met an old friend, a dwarf named Muradin.”

“What dose any of this have to do with the Scarlet Crusade or the Forsaken?” Rainbow interrupted.

“The story of Arthas is the story of how the Forsaken came to be.” I replied before continuing my story, “A few days later the two were talking in a base they had set up, Arthas learned of a powerful magic sword, called Frostmourn and deiced he would acquire this sword to defend his home. Arthas, Muradin and there army fought their way though the undead forces. When they found it Muradin read an inscription under the frozen sword that revealed the sword was cursed. It read, ‘Whomsoever takes up this blade shall wield power eternal. Just as the blade rends flesh, so must power scar the spirit.’ Arthas not caring asked the spirits of the cave to free the sword proclaiming he would pay any price to save his home. As the sword broke free from the ice a shard hit Muradin on the head and appeared to kill him. You need to understand Arthas had become so obsessed with the thought of killing Mal’Ganis that he didn’t care that it seemed that Muradin had been killed by the ice.” Every one gasped in horror as I said this. I paused taking a breath before continuing. “With Frostmourn in hand Arthas found Mal’Ganis it turn out that had done the whole thing to lure Arthas to the sword, because a being called the Lich King had chosen Arthas has his champion, and the first time Arthas held the sword he could hear the Lich Kings voice.”

“Mal’Ganis asked what the Lich King was telling Arthas and to his surprise, the Lich King said that Arthas was to get his revenge on Mal’Ganis. On that day not only did Mal’Ganis die but Arthas lost not only his sanity but his very soul. Arthas left to wonder Northrend leaving everyone who followed him to fend for them self's and while he was wandering learned that the soul whoever he killed was sucked into his blade. About a year later Arthas returned to Lorderon the people gave him a heroes welcome glad he had returned, but it was on that day Lorderons doom had come because during the time he was gone Arthas had changed from a noble Paladin to the first and deadliest Death Knight. Arthas killed his father with a single stab and began a rain of terror. No one was a match for him, all who fought him and his new army of undead, died and in many cases were rased as new undead minions. After gathering Kel’Thuzad remains and placing them in a magic urn so they could not decompose, Arthas traveled to the home of the High Elfs Silvermoon, but in order to get the urn, Arthas killed his old mentor. In the forest around Silvermoon, he met the ranger Sylvanas Windrunner who put up one hell of a fight, but in the end she to fell and because of the trouble Sylvanas gave him, Arthas raised her as a banshee and enslaved her.”

I didn’t see anyone's reaction because I had my eyes closed, as I tried to make sure I didn’t miss any important information. “A few days later and Arthas threw Kel’Thuzad’s remains in the source of the High Elf’s power, the Sunwell which not only resurrected Kel’Thuzad as a powerful lich but it also destroyed the Sunwell and most of the High Elf’s capital city of Silvermoon. Some time later Arthas and Kel’Thuzad left for Northrend because the Lich King’s life was in danger leaving Sylvanas along with other banshees and some of the undead. As the Lich King’s power faded they regained their freewill and Sylvanas became the queen of the banshees and named her group the Forsaken. The other group I was talking about are a group of Death Knights but they didn’t appear until many years later. Death knights are basically the opposite side of Paladins who use dark magic instead of using light magic. The group of Death knights I am about to talk about are the Ebon Blade and at one point they became nothing more than cannon fodder to Arthas.

“Arthas sent the Ebon Blade to weaken a powerful Paladin named Tirion so Arthas could swoop in and kill a potential threat. The battle between the Ebon Blade and the Tirion’s forces was short. The place Tirion had set up his base was Holy ground, therefore weakening any undead foe. After the fight the leader of the Ebon Blade, a Death knight called Highlord Darion Morrgaine learned that not only had Arthas sent him and his fellow knights to die but also that Arthas had killed Darion's father and stolen his soul.”

“Since Death knight have some free will Darion declared he and all who fallow him the enemy of Arthas, fully freeing most of the Ebon Blade since some of the higher ups decied to continue following Arthas. That is the story of the undead of Azaroth who fight to protect. Now while the Scarlet Crusades goal in the destruction of undead they aren’t afraid to attack ANYONE who would impend this goal. So they basically made the two main factions the on planet their enemies even all other humans.” As I finished speaking I looked around and saw the others were once again deep in thought. “I don’t mean to imply anything, I agree the Scarlet Crusade are an extreme example. I do know of one other example but, while different it is still pretty extreme. I wont tell you about it now if you don’t want to here about it.”

“Please Thrin I at least need to know of anything that could threaten Equestria. You and I can talk in a different room if the others don’t want to hear it.” Celestia said determination evident in her voice. I looked at the mane six waiting for them to speak.

“I think we should hear it as well what about the rest of you?” Twilight said looking at her friends who nodded in agreement.

“All right. Luckily it’s a much shorter tale. You know what a black hole is right?” To my surprise everyone nodded. “Well in one universe there is a white hole which instead of sucking in energy and light, expels it instead. However what it expels is a force called ‘dark light’. This ‘dark light’ or ‘Light of Destruction’ in many ways had a mind of its own. The Light of Destruction has only one goal, which is to literally unbalance the universe by destroying all darkness. Its plan was to brainwash all the humans on earth to join the cult ‘the Society of Light’. In the end the Light of Destruction was completely destroyed by one who wields darkness and the universe remains in balance.”

“The point of these stories is merely this. Not all that is dark is evil and not all light is good. Now while this is true I fully believe that the chance of you turning evil Tia is practically nonexistent. After all, not only do you have Luna with you but also all of your friends by your side, and I am 100% sure that if something happens they will knock some sense into you.” I said with a comforting smile while everyone agreed with me.

Before any one could say anything else the front door burst open and a new voice spoke. “Twilight are you alright? When I got back from Zecora’s and saw some guards I asked what happened. After he said Ponyville was attacked by monsters I rushed here as fast as I could!”

“I’m fine Spike a little shaken but fine. Thanks to Thrin here.” Twilight said as I waved.

“Nice to meet you Spike.” I said.

“Nice to meet you two. Thanks for saving Twilight I don’t know what I would do if my sis got hurt, or worse.” Spike said.

“Ah so that’s your relationship here. Anyway it wasn’t a problem Spike. I’m glad I could help.” I replied.

“What do you mean by ‘relationship here’?” Spike asked

“Thrin is from another world that knows of Equestria and us from a work of fiction Spike.” Twilight explained.

“Really? That’s kinda hard to believe.” Spike said to which I chuckled a bit.

“I don’t blame ya for not believing. It dose sound far fetched.” I said before Celestia spoke.

“Once again thank you for helping and for telling us a little of other worlds. I should get back to Canterlot and talk to Luna after I lower the sun, but before I go is their anything else you want to talk about?”

“Yes actually. Is it alright if I moved into your old castle? I would like to do some experiments with my magic, and would like to make sure I am far enough away if things go wrong so no one gets hurt.” I said.

Celestia smiled, “I’ll talk to Luna about this to get her thoughts but I don’t think that will be a problem. I’ll send a letter as soon as I can with our decision. Also I’ll tell Sargent Silver Wind that I am giving you half of what was in the chest as a reward for your help.”

I blinked a few times before replying. “Thank you Princess. It’ll help until I can find a job.”

“No thanks necessary Thrin you earned it. Good night everypony.”

Chapter 3: Making Paths

View Online

After Celestia left I went back to reading as the mane six told spike about the monster attack.

‘hmm so the you do levitation is to simply surround an object in a light cloak of magic. Sound simple enough, but probably hard to master.’ That was when I heard someone talking to me. “Hmm? Sorry I was deep in thought could you repeat that?” I asked.

“I asked if you wanted to stay here, at least until the Princesses give you an answer.” Twilight responded.

“I wouldn’t want to impose, but I don’t really have any place to go. Besides it would be nice to get to know all of you better.” I said.

“I think its time we all got some rest, it has been along good night everyone.” Rarity said as she turned to leave but when she opened the door their was a unicorn guard out side.

“Hey sis.” At this Twilight ran over to great the new pony.

“Shining its great to see you! Everyone this is by big brother Shining Armor he’s the captain of the royal guard.” I smiled its always nice to see siblings who get along so well. I wiped a tear from my eye thinking about my own sis.

“Hey Thrin, ya ok?” Rainbow asked.

“Ya just thinking about my family.” After I said this an awkward silence filled the room before

Shining gave a cough. “Anyways I am here with your share of the treasure Thrin, and I wanted to thank you personally for saving my sister.”

“No problem I’m glad I could help.” Shining nodded and brought in a smaller chest.

“I got to get going. It’s great to see you again little sis.” Shining game Twilight a short hug then left waving good bye.

“Nice brother you have Twilight.” I said.

“How come you never mentioned your bro was in the guard Twi?” Rainbow asked.

Twilight blushed a little. “I never really thought it was that important.”

To try to help Twilight I decided to change the subject.“So Pinkie any plans for my ‘Welcome to Ponyville/thanks for saving the town’ party yet?”

“OH-MY-GOSH! You’re right! I should get started!” Pinkie exclaimed.

“Just so ya know, I like red velvet and chocolate cakes.” I said smiling.

“Thanks Thrin!” With this Pinkie ran out of the library. After Pinkie left all the others said there goodbyes as well and went home.

“Spike why don’t you get started on dinner while I go clean up the guest room. Thrin go ahead and keep reading.” Twilight said as she began to walk to the stairs.

“Nah I’ll come help. Where are the bookmarks?” After helping Twilight we went back down stairs to the kitchen I blinked in surprised. The dinner Spike made was pancakes with sunny side-up eggs. Two of the plates had some sausages and sliced ham.

“After the day we’ve had I thought a simple dinner would be best. That plates yours Thrin. Hope you like pancakes.” Spike said pointing to one of the plates with meat while Twilight chuckled at my expression.

“I bet you weren’t expecting meat in a herbivore's house right? While dragons eat gems for the minerals to harden their scales they need protein from meat to survive. Princess Celestia told me about this when I freaked out the first time I saw him eat some.”

“Ya about that. How come Spike is still considered a baby dragon, isn’t he just a few years younger then you?” I asked sitting in the offered chair.

“We mostly just say that to try to make others more comfortable around me.” Spike shrugged, “As for why I'm still so small, we don’t know.”

“Well I’m positive we can figure it out.” I said before taking a bite out of sausage. “So while we eat do either of you have any questions for me?”

“I do. How did you manage to survive that wound the orc gave you?” I was silent while I thought about how to answer her.

“After the Orc Chieftain wounded me, my body reacted on its own, apparently if I get a lethal wound in one form, I change to a different form. I don’t know if this is correct but I’m not in any rush to test it.” I replied as Twilight hummed in thought.

This time Spike spoke up. “Can you tell us about the forms you used?”

“Maybe later, that’ll take a while and I don’t know about you two, but I just want to go to sleep after we finish eating.” Spike nodded then Twilight asked.

“What book were you reading earlier Thrin?”

“Oh that? Just a book on some basic magic. I’m pretty limited on what I can do in my true form at the moment and thought I should learn more about magic before trying some of my ideas.” I replied.

“What kind of ideas.” Spike asked.

“I have a lot of forms who use magic. So I might be able to write down how some spells work, while in those forms.” A few minutes later we had finished eating dinner and cleaning up. “Goodnight you two.” I called from the stairs.

-The Next Day-

*sigh* Once again my day starts with sun light in my eyes. After I got dressed I went down stairs to see that both Twilight and Spike beat me there. Spike was making a repeat of dinner, and Twilight was drinking a cup of coffee. “Morning Thrin, surprised to see you up so early.” Twilight said.

I chuckled in response before saying. “Kinda hard to sleep in when the sun shines right into your eyes. Are you two always up this early?”

This time Spike spoke up, “No after yesterday we both had trouble sleeping. Also do you want and coffee?” Spike asked.

“That’s understandable and no thanks Spike I’m not a fan of coffee. So whats the plan for today?” I asked.

“Not much. Pinkie will probably have your party ready soon. I think we all just need a day off to relax.” Twilight said. Just then Spike burped his green dragon fire to reveal a letter.

“I wonder if that’s Tia’s and Lulu’s response to my request.” I said.

Spike handed Twilight the letter, before returning to making breakfast. I walked over to the table and sat down. “Whats the letter say Twi?” I asked.

“Princess Luna will be coming to town next week for he first Nightmare Night and she would like to see you. She also said that you can move into there old castle after it’s repaired.”

“Well then I have a lot of work to do and little time. Better go see Rarity today, I’m gonna need some more clothes. We should also tell the others that Luna's going to be here and tell Pinkie not to go on about Nightmare Moon.” I said after I finished before tilting my head. “Then again maybe we can come up with a plan that brings up Nightmare Moon but not in a way that makes Luna uncomfortable.”

“I like the first idea better maybe we can come up with a plan next year.” Spike said before placing a couple plates with waffles on the table.“I hope you two are done because breakfast is ready.”

Once breakfast was done the three if us headed to the Carousel Boutique. “Thrin how are you going to get supplies through the Everfree? It’s one of the most dangerous places in Equestria.” Twilight asked.

“I already have an idea actually, I might be able to make a clear path to not only the castle but Zecora’s as well. As for how I think I’ll wait to explain that.” I replied deciding to be a little cryptic.

“If your idea works it would be a lot of my mind, knowing that the CMC will be safe when they go visit Zecora.” Twilight said. During walk to Rarity’s a lot of the residents waved at us.

“I’m glad that everyone can go about their day. Ponyville really is a beautiful town.” I said waving back.

The visit to Rarity’s wasn’t that bad, part of me was worried that Rarity would go into a small frenzy with inspiration but while she did jot down a few ideas the experience over all was a pleasant one. Once Rarity was done taking measurements the four of us went to to Sugarcube Corner for the party, but since there was still a lot the needed to be done fixing up Ponyville the party was rather short. “It’s a shame the party was cut short but at least this give me a chance to see if my idea on making the paths will work.” I said before drinking the last of my strawberry shake.

“Whats the idea Thrin?” Rainbow asked.

“If I can combine the powers of two of the Champions I can transform into, I might be able to make some safe roads in the Everfree Forest. One to Zecora’s, another to the castle and one from the castle to Zecora’s.” I said.

A few minutes later the eight of use were standing at the edge of the Everfree forest, on the start of the path that Twilight and the others took the first time they went to the old castle. “Just so you all know. This is most likely going to take a while, maybe even the rest of the day. Now then lets get this started. CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION. ZILEAN!” Replacing my form what that of an old man in blue robes with a rope belt holding what looks like a coin to my abdomen and a single red sash. My hair was now light blue and pointing up. I also had a beard that reminded me of Gandalf the Grey, floating just off of my back was a giant brass clock.

“All right, now to see if my plan works. With Zilean’s time magic I should be able to place a ‘Time Bubble’ around the forest while excluding Zecora’s and the castle.” I explained, while hovering just off of the grass.

“Hey Thrin how come your voice doesn't change when you transform?” Pinkie asked.

“That’s not entirely true Pinkie, when I saved Ponyville I changed into two female Champions. The first was Annie who’s a very young girl, the other was Ahri who’s much older. My voice changed then.” I replied.

“Darling isn’t it a bit awkward to change genders like that?” Rarity inquired.

“Rarity I accepted a LONG time ago when, Discord helped me train in my metal landscape, that if I restricted myself just because some of the forms because their female, I would never be able to reach my full potential. Now forms of villains and people who I consider jerks are another story, I don’t want to use those forms until I find a way so they don't influence me or I have no other choice. Now please, I need to concentrate since I'm not used to using ability's other then the four I'm familiar with.” I said.

Silence filled the air as I closed my eyes and focused on the kind of ‘Time Bubble’ I wished to create. One that would not only keep the castle and Zecora’s untouched but also one that would leave all the creatures that lived in the forest untouched. From behind be I heard seven gasps which caused me to open my eyes, in front of me shining over the forest was a golden bubble and I could FEEL that It was doing exactly what I wanted. Time for the plants was moving faster while leaving everything else untouched. “Well that’s part one down. Now for the part that will take a while. CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION. IVERN!” Now standing in my place was a very tall man made out of wood.

“What can that form do Thrin?” Spike asked. When I turned to look at him, his eyes were wide and full of childish glee and wonder.

“This form can talk to all forms of nature whether they be plant, animal or insect. I plan to try to talk the spirit of the forest into moving the trees to allow the roads to exist. The time bubble is to make sure that even if the conversation takes years in there, I can take care of it in a day real time… hopefully.” Taking a deep breath I walk inside the ‘bubble’ and dig my root like toes deep into the ground reaching the roots of the trees..

* Several ours later, third person p.o.v.*

“THIS IS SO BORING! How much longer is he going to take? At this rate the sun will set before he’s done!.” Rainbow dash complained. During the long wait Rainbow had gotten a few clouds and some sandwiches so they could at least wait in some comfort. Fluttershy, Rarity and Applejack had gone home a few hours ago since they had some work to do.

“Thrin did say that the conversation could take him years within that bubble. Who knows how much time its been in there.” Twilight said. Just then the golden bubble popped with the sounds of wood scraping on wood and stone.

*Thrin First person P.O.V.*

“Man it’s a good thing I also took on Ivern’s life span otherwise I never would have been able to do that, but man I am completely drained.” I said talking to no one in particular.

“Looks like your done Thrin, how was it?” Fluttershy asked.

“Depends, on one hand it was a very unique experience that I can’t put into words. On the other incredibly tedious and aggravating. The trees of the Everfree complain like kids throwing a tantrum.” I said a thoughtful look on my face.

“I don’t really know how to respond to that. Anyways are the new paths finished and how long did it take?” Twilight asked.

“Yup, all three are done. There is a split in the road about a minutes walk down the path, the one to the left goes to Zecora’s, the right one goes to the castle. As for how long, I can safely say that I never want to spend a century like that again.” I said.

“I hope you have a plan to fix that awful old bridge Thrin.” Rarity said slightly exaggerating.

“Unfortunately only a temporary one. At least until I can get a professional bridge builder to help since there is a specific design I want to use.” I sighed.

“Does it have to do with another Champion? How many are there anyways?” Pinkie asked.

“Yes it dose, her name is Taliyah she is known as The Stoneweaver. Since she can manipulate the earth as easily as Twilight can her magic. As for how many there are, I think around a hundred. Its been a while since I last went through them.” Just as I finished a point of some kind of metal thing appeared out of nowhere in front of use and moved downward leaving a tare in reality behind it. Out of the rip in reality came a tall man with two black crow like wings, a sky blue tank top and shorts that had a mountain range pattern. He was also wearing very odd shoes, they seemed to have only two main parts one on the flat of the foot with the other pointing down from the middle, this seemed to be the only place the shoe met the ground, and seemed be made of wood, he also had a red hat with two black strings that went down either side of his head with white fluffy balls on them.

“Oh hello hope I’m not interrupting anything.” He said with a smile as if nothing odd had happened at all.

“Umm…no not really, but I do have two questions. One, how did you do that, and the all important question, who the heck are you?” I asked.

“I’m Arashi, nice to meet ya.” He said with a wide grin on his face.

“OH BOY! ANOTHER NEW COMER TO PONYVILLE! I CAN’T WAIT TO hmmmghgm…” Prinkie Started until Applejack put her hoof in front of Pinkie’s mouth.

“Sorry about that, Pinkie can get really exited some times.” She said.

“It’s not a problem, I’m use to Pinkie’s antics from the Equestria I am from. To answer your unasked question the Multiverse is real. Anyways may I know your name Mr. Displaced?”

“I’ve already told them that the Multiverse is real. I’m Thrin, and what do you mean by ‘Displaced’?” I asked before noticing that Twilight seemed ready to burst with questions.

Arashi noticed this two, and pulled some kind of small yellow crystal out of thin air. “Here you go. This is a magic crystal called a Lacrima containing a kind of magic called ‘Archive’. Its basically a magic computer with all I know of the Multiverse. It’s also connected to my Archive magic, so when I update the information yours will update as well. To activate it just place it on the ground or table and say ‘Archive Activate’. As for your question Thrin, a Displaced is someone who was sent from their home dimension to a version of Equestria, some times they get a new form but they always with new powers.”

“Most of us got sent to Equestira after we bought a item from ‘The Merchant’ at a convention. My case is different since Yukari Yakumo from Gensokyo is my Displacer. Now each Displaced has what is known as a ‘Token’ think of it as a calling card. With a Token you can meet other Displaced. I’ll tell you how to make a Token in a bit, everything else you need to know is in the Lacrima.” Arashi said before pulling an exact copy of his hat from nowhere, “Here is a copy of my Token, feel free to let me know if you need a hand or someone to talk to.” Arashi smiled before continuing, “After all I can’t just leave an alternate version of me hangen ya know?”

At this everyone stooped and stared at Arashi who merely laughed. “Lady Yukari told me. If there are alternate versions of Equstria and its residents then why Earth? In fact you’re the third ‘me’ I’ve met. I’ll give ya a copy of there Tokens in a moment, I’ll also give ya some other Tokens of friends of mine. By the way what kind of Displaced are you, as in what series do you get your powers from?”

“League of Legends. Do you know anyone who mainly uses dark magic? Some of the Champions use it and I don’t want to turn into them until I know it wont corrupt me, that is if it can since not every kind of dark magic corrupts people ya know?” I asked.

“Hmm I think i have a token for someone like that. Give me a moment to look through my sub space pockets.” Arashi brought up his own Archive magic and began searching thought the files. “Let’s see here…ah here we go.” Arashi summoned a brown bag and a large black shield with a diagonal blue stripe. “In the bag are a few tokens. The bone summons Sans the Skeleton, this shield calls for Cecil or as he is more commonly called Franky, I also threw in some other tokens for some people that might be able to help you out.”

“Which ones are the versions of…you, me, us…man this is confusing.” I said while scratching my head.

“Yeah it can be. The other versions of us are Sans, and Cecil. Sans is from the game Undertale and Cecil is the Knight from Dragon’s Crown.”

After Arashi said this I gave a bark of laughter. “I’m already dealing with monsters from there. It’ll be good to have some allies who can help me deal with them, they might also be able to help with the Dragon Quest monsters.” I looked at my new friends and they nodded agreeing with me.

“If your dealing with monsters from both Dragon’s Crown and Dragon Quest then there might be other displaced here, you might also have to deal with some of the monsters or people from League of Legends. Ether way you need up get the upper hand the monsters and maybe even the displaced if they’re evil and I know just they guy to help.”

At this Arashi brought out what seemed to be an old fashioned garage remote. It was a simple black plastic box with a white square button on the top. When Arashi pushed the button a pair of glass sliding doors appeared in front of him. “Whats in there?” Twilight and I asked.

“This is a store run by an acquaintance of mine. He goes by the name ‘Shopkeep’ since his real name doesn’t translate well into any mortal language because he is a eldritch being. He’s a member of a merchant guild that does business across the multy-verse. If your looking for something, chances are he has it in stock. Besides hes just a great guy, really friendly and fair when he does business.” Arashi said walking up to the doors that slid open. “Yo Shopkeep. How have you been?”

“I’ve been good Arashi. Who's your new friend?” Shopkeep said. He was of average height, his blond hair was neatly combed and he wore a simple dark red suite.

“This is Thrin, he’s a League of Legends displaced who’s having problems with monsters from both Dragon’s Crown and Dragon Quest. Possibly even other Displaced. What would you recommend to give him the upper-hand?” While Arashi was talking to Shopkeep I looked around. The room we were in was just a simple corridor with a single wooden door on the other side. Shopkeep was standing behind the register on the right, the left wall was barren of pictures.

I also noticed that only Arashi and myself had come through the doors. “How come only Arashi and I came in?” I asked.

“Only people I allow can enter my store, now magic tomes that teach Dragon Quest magic is a must, and even some magic staves from Dragon’s Crown but I’m unfortunately sold out at the moment. Maybe even Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy magic. As for weapons…” Shopkeep said before looking me over, “It seems to me more like a one-handed sword or dagger would fit your normal from better then say an ax or mace. Now Thrin is there a series that has that kind of weapon that your fond of?”

“Well Dragon Quest has some good daggers and magic. Elder Scrolls also has some stuff I might want. Fairy Tail has a lot of items and magic that could help. I can’t think of any other series right now, unless you have something that teaches me how to summon the minions from League of Legends or build the turrets. But how am I going to pay for anything? All my money is at Twilight’s.”

Shopkeep smirked before saying, “All that and more Thrin, go ahead and see for your self, I’ll wait here for when your done. As for how you’re going to pay I might have a few ideas. You looken for anything Arashi?”

“Just a few items, and Yukari says hi.” I didn’t hear the rest of the conversation since I walk through the doors and stopped wide eyed. The room I had entered was massive, it was like half of a mall was shoved into one room. The room it self had several rows of shelf's on the left and right side leaving the center of the room full of different tables. Above the tables and at the entrance of each of the rows was a sign saying which series the items came from.

Chapter 4: Meeting a Warlock

After an hour of searching around Shopkeep’s store, one thing that surprised me was when I picked up a Thoron tome I wanted to buy, it vanished and replaced with a note. ‘Thank you for shopping. All items you intend to buy will be teleported to the register ready for you when you leave.’. I then went to get a copy of most of the fire, thunder, and wind spell tomes, a translation book that will help me read them, a copy of the Heal, Mend, and Physic staves along with a Levin Sword but that was mostly because out of all the weapons from Fire Emblem it was my favorite. Scrolls that teach white, black, time and summoning magic from Final Fantasy. I also got some Dragon Quest spell books, a Falcon Knife, an Imp Knife, a Poison Moth Knife, a Rune Staff, and Staff of Antimagic. For Dragon Quest accessories, I grabbed a Catholicon Ring to protect me from paralysis, poison, sleep, confusion, and illusion spells.

From the League of Legends, I got a tome that had instructions on how to summon the minions, beasts, and turrets along with one of my favorite items. The Youmuu's Ghostblade which is going to be my personal blade. When I thought, I had enough items from items from League of Legends, all the tables that had items from their changed to Terraria. So, I grabbed an Ancient Horn, for a mount. I also got a Shadowflame Knife, and Raven Staff. Three books that taught Fairy Tail magic, one for Lightning magic, one for Water magic, one for Archive and a scroll that told how to turn normal gems into lacrima. From the Elder Scrolls, I only got the Candlelight spell.

Once I was done I headed back to see that Arashi had left. “Have fun shopping Thrin? You were certainly in there for longer than I expected.” Shopkeep said a small smile on his face.

“A bit, it’s really amazing how much stuff you have.” I said.

“I aim to please. Again, I’m sorry about not having any items from Dragon’s Crown. That stuff is harder to come across, than you might think.”

“It’s fine, but how am I going to pay for everything? I could go back to Twilight’s and get what I need from the treasure chest that has my share of the loot from when I beat the monsters.” I asked.

“Well if you don’t have any bits on you, I think we can work around that. Can you transform into the Champion Aurelion Sol? Shopkeep asked. “Otherwise you’ll have to wait to take anything until you have the money on you.”

“I think so, I’ve never had a reason to before. Why do you ask?”

“He is called the Star Forger for a reason. You can pay me with new stars.”
“Ah I see, I might have enough to cover this but I am curious how to make stars so. CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION AURELION SOL!” Replacing my form was a large serpent like dragon. My scales were reminiscent of the cosmos, ever changing with constellations and galaxies. The small corridor had changed to be able to easily fit my new form.

“Glad it worked, now then let’s see.” I brought my claws up before my face and breathed into the gap between my claws. A small orb began to grow between my claws. Once I was finished it was the size of a baseball and gave of a warm yellow glow.

“Not bad for a first attempt. Given the right spot this star might become a blue dwarf. Personally, I always did prefer red giants. Although i am surprised you got this on your first attempt.” Shopkeep said as he inspected the star.

"I just went with 'don't think, feel'. It's what I did when i turned into Champions for the first time when i trained with Discord. I let the form guide me on how to use the powers." I explained.

“Now since this is your first purchase and you’re a new member you get a discount, so I would say… fourteen more stars will cover everything.” Almost an hour later and I had a total of fifteen baby stars floating over the table and was panting heavily. Who knew creating stars was so taxing. “Good job. OH! before I forget.”

With that Shopkeep floated up and touched the golden crown on my head before returning to his spot behind the register. “There we go, now it’s just decoration. No one should be able control you in this form now.”

I shifted back to my true self before saying, “Thank you, I completely forgot about that enchantment on the crown.”

“Not a problem. Think of it as a ‘welcome to the club’ present. Now here you are, everything in one complimentary hypercube. In case you don’t know what that is. It’s a box with near infinite storage, and it can fit in your pocket or attach itself to any belt! To get stuff out of the cube, just think of what you want and reach for it. I recommend not wanting all of it at once unless you’re in an open room, otherwise your end up underneath a pile of stuff, trust me that’s no fun. Oh, the way to access my store is also in there.” Shopkeep said.

“Thanks, Shopkeep, for everything. By the way I have two questions, one what are you going to do with the stars? And two do you know how if I can use the other ‘skins’ of the Champions?” I asked.

“I’m going to go to different universes and put them in spots where they will help. Whether they give light to planets or just give people something to look at in the night sky. It’s what I always do when people give me stars as payment unless there unstable, in that case I take them to a friend of mine who makes sure they can’t harm anyone when they explode. As for the different ‘skins’ I think you’ll unlock them as you go.”

Giving a last wave to Shopkeep I walked out of the store to see Twilight and her friends waiting for me with Arashi nowhere to be seen. “Hi Thrin, we were expecting you to take longer. You were only in there for fifteen minutes.” Twilight said.

“Ya, Arashi came out five minutes while ago and he left to go check on something.” Rainbow said.

“For me it was more like an hour, man space-time magic is weird. Anyways I got a lot of stuff that could be helpful. Mostly magic though, chances are it’ll take me a few months or more likely a few years to learn it all. When I get some free time, I’ll figure out which magic to priorities. For now, though I just want to get some sleep.”

During the walk, back to town I explained what I bought and how. “I bet Princess Luna will be really happy once she learns about Aurelion Sol!” Pinkie said.

“I agree Pinkie, but since this is going to be Luna’s first Nightmare Night I don’t think bringing up Nightmare Moon will be a good idea. I think she needs to see that her subjects aren’t scared of her.” I said.

“I think Thrin is correct on this Pinkie. After what she went through…” before Twilight could finish a loud screeching sound filed the air. Looking up we saw something that didn’t fill me with hope, a Dragon’s Crown Harpy.

“First orcs and now a Harpy, this isn’t good. I’m mentally exhausted after convincing the Everfree and using Aurelion Sol’s power for the first time. I don’t think I can take on a Harpy. Damn it Arashi where are you!” I exclaimed.

“Right behind you.” All seven of us spun around to see Arashi who was staring at the Harpy with a look of… disappointment? “I’ll take care of this.” With that Arashi spared his wings and charged at the Harpy yelling. “IT’S BEINGS LIKE YOU WHO GIVE TENGU LIKE ME A BAD NAME!” The Harpy only screeched in responses and charged at Arashi. “TIME FOR YOU TO LEARN NOT TO MESS WITH ME! HURRICANE SPHERE!” A ball of wind engulfed the Harpy holding her in place. The Harpy withered in pain, screeching the entire time. “Scream profanities and curses all you want. It won’t help when you, so just calm down.” Arashi yelled over the wind.

“I wonder how he is able to understand that Harpy,” Twilight said.

“Who cares how he understands? Are you watching this? He’s curb-stomping that monster!” Rainbow cheered.

“From what I remember from Japanese mythology, Tengu are highly magical beings that are sometimes mistaken for gods, but from I know Tengu are either crow like. I don’t know why he also has wolf ears and tail.” I said bringing one hand up to my chin.

“He is from another universe, maybe that one has different kinds of Tengu.” Twilight said by this point the Harpy had stopped screeching and was just being held up in the air by sphere of wind.

“Now then I think you have learned your lesson. If you promise to behave I’ll not only heal you, but also figure out a way to help with your problem. All right?” Arashi said the Harpy giving a squawk in response. “Curaga.”

A gentle green light enveloped the Harpy, once it finished the Harpy stood up on her legs. Arashi turned to us and said. “This Harpy is called Harukaze, it means ‘Spring Breeze’ the reason she attacked just now was a Warlock has taken her nest and eggs. He threatening to smash them if she doesn’t destroy Ponyville.” Twilight, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie gasped while I growled before Arashi continued. “Luckily, she doesn’t have to report until noon tomorrow. That gives us time to plan and you time to rest up. Thrin what do you think of having a Harpy live near your home.”

“As long as she doesn’t cause any trouble. Maybe she can give me a few unfertilized eggs or allow me to have some of her molted feathers occasionally.” I said, Harukaze gave a few chirps which Arashi translated. “She agrees, and would like a few wards around her nest to help protect her young.”

I smiled, “Miss Harukaze I would have offered to place wards around your nest anyways. I promise you we will do everything we can to get your eggs back.”

“YA! No one threatens kids while were here! Let’s go kick his butt!” Rainbow proclaimed,

“Not so fast Rainbow if we rush into this Harukaze’s eggs will be in danger, we need to come up with a plan.” Twilight said.

“What kind of meanie would harm a child?” Pinkie said her main drooping slightly.

“Someone evil with little to no morals, but right now I really need to get some sleep, can you wake me up before dawn so we can make a plan Arashi?” I said.

Immediately Rainbow spoke up. “You’re not leaving us out of this! This Warlock guy is going down!”

“I agree with Rainbow, we should be there to help.” Twilight said.

“I disagree. There is a strong possibility a fight could break out. In which case this you would be a liability since we don’t know what kind of monsters he has guarding his base or the kinds he has near the eggs. If we’re not careful and they catch wind of us before we get the eggs and they smash the eggs, then even if we kill all the monsters we lose no matter what else they might be guarding.” Arashi explained in a voice that said auguring about this was pointless, causing Twilight and Rainbow Dash to sigh in defeat.

“All right, Arashi you made your point we’ll wait here, BUT we will be telling the Princesses about this!” Twilight said.

“I would expect nothing less. Now you are going straight to bed Thrin it’s going to be a long day tomorrow. I’ll show Harukaze where the old castle is so she can find a good area nearby for her new nest and I’ll see you an hour before dawn.” Arashi said before he and Harukaze took off and flew over the Everfree Forest.

“Let’s go. Can the three of you let the others know what’s going on?” I asked as we continued the walk back to town.

“You can count on us Thrin! And you can expect a ‘Good job stopping the evil Warlock/ Saving the Eggs’ party” Pinkie said.

“I’m not sure that most people will like a Harpy living near town, but I think if we explain exactly what’s going on, they’ll at least tolerate her.” I said. Once we were in front of Twilight’s, Rainbow and Pinkie said their goodbyes as Twilight and I went inside. “Night, Twilight.” I said as I went up to my room.

*Early the next morning*

“Esuna.” I woke up with a jolt fully awake I gave a small glare at Arashi. “Sorry about that, but were on a tight schedule. Here some elven lembas, bought it yesterday since I ate the last I had last week.” Arashi apologized before handing me the wafer like short bread which I quickly ate. “For us to come up with a plan we need to know the basics of what each other can do. As you saw yesterday I can fly, use wind magic, but I can also use earth magic, and can understand any type of avian or canine like creature. I can use magic from Final Fantasy but I mostly focus on white and time magic since I find fire, lightning, and ice magic from Fairy Tail to be more effective and more fun to, but I still use it for the spell sword ability. I save the Gensoken magic for area attacks, because I learned a while back that unless you’re fighting in the air, causing a bullet hell is an easy way to cause unnecessary collateral damage, even if the bullets are non-lethal.”

“I guess no matter what universe I’m from, being a fan of Fairy Tail is a constant.” I said chuckling.

“Nope. Franky is indifferent to it and Sans think it’s over rated, but that’s not that important. You know some of what I can do so what can you do?” Arashi said.

“As I said yesterday, I can transform into the Champions from League of Legends. I have five ‘slots’ a day for Champion and two ‘slots’ for the Summoner magic. Since the Champions personalities can affect me if I lose concentration or lose control of my emotions. So for now I avoid the evil Champions and Champions I think are assholes, Hecarim the Shadow of War for example. I also don’t want to use the ones with dark magic even if they aren’t evil or an ass because I don’t know if it can corrupt me. Yesterday I bought a few daggers from Dragon’s Quest, a blade from League of Legends and a couple magic weapons from Terraria. So, if necessary I can fight without transforming, but I would like to avoid that if possible since I’m a squishy wizard, and have no idea how to properly use them.” I said while getting out of bed.

“Compared to the game, how strong are your Champion forms?” Arashi asked.

I brought my hand up and thought for a moment. “I would guess around level four. Strong enough to have all their ability's but no where near full power, which really makes me wonder why I easily tore through the Dragon Crown Orc’s when they invaded Ponyville the day Discord an I got free. During the fight I wondered if it’s because the Champions work on different laws then the Dragon Crown’s characters.”

Arashi shrugged. “Perhaps, but here’s what I’m thinking right now. You get his attention in the form of a tank champion while I sneak in and get the eggs. The reason I suggest this is if we both go in guns blazing, he can easily just smash the eggs before we get to them. If you need help I recommend Franky since not only is he use to fighting Dragon’s Crown monsters but he almost always has his sis with him even if the rest of his team stays behind.”

“So, Cecil’s sister also got displaced? Who’d she turn into… wait if she got displaced then does that mean my sister also got displaced? I asked.

“Perhaps, you never know who’s going to be Displaced and who wont be and Franky’s sister is the Dragon’s Crowns Elf, and she is one of the best archers I know. Probably because she put a lot of her frustration about her situation into practicing when they first got to Equestria. The rest of his team is Twilight the Sorceress, Rainbow who's the thief of the group, Gilda is the Amazon, Sunset’s the ‘Wizard’. Last time I saw them they didn’t have a ‘Dwarf’ on the team. Not for lack of trying but they haven't found anyone who wants to join there team and have the right chemistry, and yes. They dress like the original characters from the game.” Arashi said.

“I hope they find a good teammate, anyways that’s probably the best idea for now. I’ll go leave a note for Twilight.” I said.

We walk down stairs only to find Twilight already up and reading, looking up she said. “Morning, I wanted to wish you two luck before you left.”

“Thanks Twilight.”I said and with that Arashi and I left the library and walked out of town where I held up my Ancient Horn. There was a puff of smoke and I was sitting on top of a large orange basilisk who was wearing combat armor. “Hope you know Hastega otherwise the trip could last all day, depending on where we have to go.”

Arashi smiled, “I do know the Haste spells and the Warlocks base is in that mountain.” Arashi pointed at a distant mountain far to the north-east. “That’s Smoky Mountain, its where Fluttershy stared down a dragon. Right now the Warlock’s based in the same cave the dragon was. What I hope is that we’ll get there in about three hours.”

“Well then we shouldn't waste any more time right?” Without me doing anything the basilisk started to move, slowly at first but quickly building up speed. Above me I heard Arashi cast Hastega and my mounts speed went up dramatically.

We stayed near the railroad to try to avoid knocking down any trees. We made good time and like Arashi had hoped we made the trip in just over three hours. We stopped in the forest at the foot of the mountain where I dismissed my mount. “Ok Arashi time to split up, if I’m remembering Project Touhou lore correctly. Didn’t the kappa Nitori make an optic camouflage device?” I asked.

“Yup and with Twilight’s help they perfected it. Well I say ‘perfected’ but what I really mean is that it doesn’t short out anymore, but to compensation this, it only works for five minuet at a time before a two hour recharge. Which Champions are you thinking of using?” Arashi asked.

“Garen, Graves, Poppy, and Shyvana. I can’t decide who else would be a good choice for this. I’m also going with the spells Heal and Smite.” I replied.

“I can see the problem, since you have mostly melee based Champions I would suggest a spell caster. The problem is still which one. Annie’s out since we don’t want a forest fire, perhaps Ryze or Karma…no Ryze would be the better choice with his unique Rune magic. I'm positive that none of the Champions used they full power or all their skills in League of Legends, which means you have plenty of tricks of your sleeve.” Arashi said.
“Good point, alright Ryze it is. Better transform before we start. CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION! GAREN!” Now I was five foot, five inches. Had short brown hair a blue scarf and was wearing full plate mail not including a helmet. I also had a large broad sword. My shoulder pads had blue gems in-bedded in them.

“Alright time to get the eggs back.” Arashi activated the optic camo and few off towards the summit. I walked on being as quiet as I could until I reached the edge of the forest, the area at the base of the mountain was full of monsters. I could see Skeletons with rusted swords and shields, Lizardmen both green and blue, and much to my surprise three Gladiators, their armor and lion shields gleaming in the morning sun. Their morning stars mace’s spikes glinting dangerously.

“Just my luck.” I think as I reach for the Hypercube that was still attached to my belt and pulled out Franky’s shield. “Better have this on hand just in case.” Taking a deep breath I charge into the clearing slashing at all the monster I shout. “FOR EQUESTIRA! MINIONS OF EVIL FACE MY JUDGMENT!” With that I began spinning striking down every Lizardman who came near me and scattering the Skeletons bones across the ground. Once I stopped spinning I raised my shield to block a Lizardman’s trident. Glancing around I noticed that the Skeletons I beat were putting them self's back together and I had hardly even put a dent into their numbers.

“Sir Cecil I am Thrin another version of you and Arashi, I am dealing with monsters you are familiar with and NEED SOME FREAKING BACK UP!” Right after I finished a great stone arch rose out of the ground with a see through purple portal lighting up in front of me sending the monsters away from me and giving me some room to breath. Out of it came six people. The one in the lead was very tall had heavy looking armor covering him self from head to toe and armed with a long sword in one hand and a large shield in the other. On his left was a much shorter woman who’s wearing a brown hood, green tunic and thigh high boots, armed with a bow almost a tall as she was that already has an arrow nocked and ready. Next to the archer is an anthro Twilight wearing scarlet robes and a purple witches hat, she was holding a hooked wooden staff which glowed red at the top.

On the armed man’s right was a sight that even though I knew what the character looked like I wasn’t expecting. Gilda was wearing what can only be called an armored bikini and wielding a halberd. Next to Gilda was someone who's hair reminded me of fire, they were wearing a black robe and had a staff similar to Twilight’s but it had a yellow glow instead. Behind them was Rainbow Dash who wore a simple green tunic and brown pants under a green hood and had a big bag over her shoulder. The six who came out of the portal imminently began attacking the monsters with a practiced ease with the exception of Rainbow who was darting around the field picking up loot that appeared when ever any of the monsters died. Grinning I joined them placing the shield back into the Hypercube.

*here’s what the game characters look like*

Deciding to change things up a bit I shouted, “CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION! SHYVANA!” in Garens place was a blue skinned women just as tall as he was. I now had crimson red armor with gold highlights that didn’t restrict my movement, on my right arm was a gauntlet that represented the top half of a dragons head while on my left was one that represented the jaw. My hands burst into flames, Skeleton bones either melted or shattered. Lizardmen tried to avoided me but the ones that I didn’t get Cecil and his team got.

Slowly but surely we made our way closer to the mountain until we heard someone yell, “MINNIONS HOLD!” At this all the monsters backed off. Looking up we saw an old man wearing flowing black robes and holding a green staff where the top looked like two snakes.

“Who are you, and how did you find me and my minions?” he asked his voice sounding deep and very gruff.

“We are simply a group of heroes who want to stop the monsters from attack people, as for how we found you, I’m not going to tell you! Now on be-haft of the Princesses I demand surrender, or get ready for get your ass kicked!” I called not once letting down my guard.

The Warlock only laughed. “Well now this is an interesting development isn’t it? Minions destroy these fools or die trying! If I learn any of you fled you will suffer the consequences, as for you ‘heroes’ to congratulate you on finding me I shall tell you my name. I am Bolarc.”

With this said Bolarc faded away and the fight started anew. A short time later Arashi joined us by cleaving a Lizardman in two with his sword. With the seven of us the remaining monsters didn’t last long. “Well met Arashi! It has been to long since we last battled together, you really should visit more often! And it’s nice to meet you Thrin I am Cecil but everyone calls me Franky.” The armored man said.

“I’m Selendrial, Cecil’s sister it’s nice to meet another version of my bro, but I really hope your more normal that this over dramatic goof.” the elven archer said with a smile before shooting Cecil an annoyed look and used her bow to hit Cecil’s helmet.

“My name is Twilight Scarlet its very nice to meet you.” Twilight said

“The names Gilda and don’t you forget it ya punk.” Gilda said as she leaned on her poleaxe.

“I’m Sunset Shimmer, Twilight’s twin sister. I hope you don’t mind me asking but, isn’t it a bit awkward to change genders when you transform?”

“I arrived in Equestria shortly before Luna’s banishment, and since I knew of Equestria before I arrived I decided to ‘attack’ Celestia in the form of the Champion Mordekaiser, and by I attack I mean show my self right after she banished Luna and say the most cliché Saturday morning villain speech I could. I don’t even remember what I said anymore not that its important. During the time, I was a statue I met Discord and I became friends after showing him that humans can be chaotic by using internet logic. Afterwards Discord help me train with in my mind scape, so I became comfortable with the transformations long ago.”

Chapter 5: Curb Stomping an Egotist and Some More Exposition

View Online

“Did you get Harukaze’s eggs back Arashi?” I asked.

“You know it! Bolarc had a few fighters guarding them but they didn’t even stand a chance.” Arashi said pulling one of the eggs out of his sub space pocket much to the surprise of Cecil’s group.

“We did all this…for a few harpy eggs?” Cecil said before bursting out in laughter, “Well I can scratch this off the ‘list of stuff I never thought I’d do'. So, what’s up with the eggs?”

“Bolarc was black mailing a harpy named Harukaze, Arashi stopped her from destroying Ponyville. Turns out Arashi can understand any bird like creature, so when she yelled at him he learned why she was attacking. So now that we have her eggs back she going to be friendly and not cause any trouble.”

“Impressive as far as we know it’s impossible to tame harpies, even if you raise them from birth.” Twilight said.

“We didn’t ‘tame’ her, we befriended her.” I responded a little annoyed, glancing at Arashi I saw he was also annoyed.

Twilight blushed, “Sorry.”

“Don’t worry about it, I’m more annoyed than anything else. Sorry to just call you guys for a fight and send you off, but I have a lot to do before Luna arrives for Nightmare Night next week. Hopefully next time we meet we can hang out and just have some fun… um how do I send a Displaced home?” I asked.

Cecil and Selendrial chuckled a bit. “It’s no problem Thrin, to send us back just say ‘our contract is complete’ since we came with Cecil you only have to say his name.” Selendrial said.

“Cecil our contract is complete, see you all next time.” The stone arch from before rose again, and waving good bye Cecil and his friends walked through and went home. I transformed back to my true self and summoned my basilisk mount. “Come on let’s get back, we need to let the Princesses know of Balorc and give Harukaze her eggs back.”

*three hours later just outside Ponyville*

“Note to self, sitting on a basilisk for long periods of time sucks. I hope I get a chance to get started on fixing up the Castle of the Two Sisters soon, but I doubt any of the Champions would be able to help me with much apart from strength, which means restoring the place is going to suck.” I said stretching after I dismissed my mount.

“I’m sure Tia is already working on getting you some help, for all we know a repair crew is already working on the place or waiting to talk to you.” Arashi said as he and I walked into town most of the ponies we passed gave us a friendly wave which we returned.

When we got to the library we walked inside to see Twilight talking to an earth pony stallion wearing a construction helmet. The Earth pony had green fur, maroon eyes and his brown mane was tied into dreadlocks. “I assume your Thrin? I’m Viridian Code, Princess Celestia asked for me and my team to assist you in restoring the Castle of the Two Sisters. I came here today to discuss exactly what needs to be done.”

“See what did I tell you Thrin, I told you Tia would get ya some help. Unfortunately, I think it’s time I get going, I have my own Equestria that needs me.” Arashi said as he punched my shoulder.

“I understand, besides once I figure out my token we can keep contact. Thanks for all your help Arashi.” We shook hands before Arashi summoned his sword. With a single swing of his sword the portal opened and walked through. “Well Mr. Code let’s get started.”

*One Week Later*

Viridian Code and his team were amazing! Within a single afternoon, we had finished going over the basic design and they were finished with repairing the main castle after only two days of work. His crew consisted of twelve unicorns, fifteen earth ponies, thirteen pegasus, five diamond dogs, ten gryphons and three minitours. In my opinion this team was the best in the business. They even made some basic furniture.

I was currently sitting on one of Twilight’s couches reading the magic tome of the Fairy Tail’s Archive magic. “Hmm maybe I’ll keep my notes from my experiments in my Archive… nah. It just won’t be as satisfying as seeing the rows of books filled with what I find. Wow never thought I’d think that, I’ve really changed since I was sent here.” I thought before I could hear footsteps coming down the stairs. Looking up I saw Twilight wearing and outfit that consisted of an old-fashioned wizard hat with stars and a couple crescent moons on it, with bells sewn onto the tip and rim. She was also wearing a robe or cloak with a similar pattern bells included, and Spike was dressed like…a purple dragon, man he was a silly kid. “Nice costume you two, who are you dressed as Twilight?”

“Starswirl the Bearded he’s one of the most famous unicorns in history.” Twilight said.

I nodded, “And you Spike?”

“Can’t you tell? I’m a dragon by the way what are you going as, one of the Champions?”

“Nah, I figured I’d just go without a costume and just enjoy the night.” I replied.

“And yet you’re still wearing your robe.” Twilight said.

“We don’t know when Bolarc will attack again, so I’m just being careful…or paranoid take your pick. Besides I like my robe, it’s comfy and easy to wear.” I respond with a small smile. At that moment, someone knocked on the door, while Twilight went to open the door I grabbed a bookmark sitting on the table next to the couch. “Ready to go you two?” I asked getting up.

“Yup, let’s go see how everyone is enjoying the festivities.” Twilight replied.

Walking outside the three of us walked in the direction of town square, on the way their we encountered Rainbow who was dressed as something called a Shadowbolt. She scared Twilight and Spike with a thunderbolt. The day after Arashi left I learned I now have an elf’s heightened hearing I so I wasn’t scared as bad since I heard her coming, but because of that heightened hearing and with the bolt so close the sound really hurt. “Hey Dash can you do me a favor? Never do that again, I have heightened hearing in my true form, so a sound that loud and that close really hurts. Argh my ears are still ringing.”

“Woops sorry Thrin, it was just meant to be a little prank.” Rainbow said.

“Don’t worry too much Rainbow, it was a simple mistake. Why don’t we go see how the others are doing?” Rainbow flew off Twilight, Spike, and I went off to town square. We found Applejack dressed as a scarecrow and was running a bobbing for apple event, Rarity was dressed as a vampire and talking to Mayor Mare who for some reason was dressed as a clown. When Princess Luna arrived the towns, folk bowed but it was obvious they were afraid. Unfortunately, when Luna spoke it didn’t help since it was so loud, not only I did I have to cover my ears again but I was sure that she could be heard in Canterlot.

Once Twilight talked to Luna her volume went to considerably. Walking over I smiled extending a hand. “Greetings Princess Luna it’s very nice to meet you.”

We shook hands while Luna said, “Likewise, Thrin. Twilight informed me about your heightened hearing so I’ll try to refrain from using the Royal Canterlot Voice.”

“Thanks. Why don’t we go for a walk so while we talk?” After talking with Luna and Twilight for a bit I asked. “Do either of you know where the closest blacksmith is? There is something I’ve been meaning to make something but with working Viridian Code and helping around town I haven’t had the time to look for one.”

“I believe closest one is in Canterlot. What do you plan to make?” Luna asked.

“Before I tell you what I plan to make there is something I believe you should know. When I was turned to stone I was still conscious of everything around me, I could hear and see. I would have gone crazy if not…for Discord.”

“WHAT?! Twilight exclaimed. “But Discord’s evil! All he does is cause chaos!”

I turned to look at Twilight my eyes full of anger. “Discord’s not evil. It’s because of him I am still sane. All that ‘chaos’ he causes is his JOB to keep the world in balance. Since there is a Spirit of Chaos than an opposite must also exist, right? The Spirit of Harmony and the Spirit of Chaos. While they don’t like each other they need each other to keep the world in balance. Also, I seem to remember telling you Discord helped me a week ago.”

“Sorry I guess it didn’t really register until now.” Twilight said.

“So, when Sister and I sealed Discord with the Elements of Harmony, we thought we were saving Equestria we were really…” Luna started.

“Dooming it? The answer to that is complicated, but to summarize kinda. Too much of anything is not a good thing, I tried to warn Discord not to try to take over Equestria and to talk to Celestia about this. As you can tell he obviously didn’t take my advice, but is some ways the power of Chaos is stronger than Harmony in that the effects of Chaos last longer in keeping the world balanced. I don’t understand everything about the balance, all I know is what Discord explained to me. Now onto your question Luna, I plan on forging my Token.” I explained.

“Your Token? Oh, now I remember, the item that allows you to talk to people in other worlds?” Luna asked.

“Yup, I want to make a golden hexagon medallion with to large upper case letter ‘L’s on it. I already know what my message will be.” I said.

Before Twilight or Luna could replay we heard an incredibly cocky voice say. “Well it’s too bad you won’t be getting to making that thing any time soon. Now hand over that princess.” Looking in the direction of the voice we saw a man in black pants, metal boots, an odd green shirt and wielding two unique axes. He was one of the few Champions I truly hated, Draven the Glorious Executioner.

“Hello Draven, I would say it’s nice to meet you, but I would be lying. Tell me is there an Empire of Noxus I should be worried about, or is just you?” I said as I stepped in front of Twilight and Luna.

“You’ve heard of me, have you? Can’t say I’m surprised. I AM the best after all. As for your question... that knowledge can't help a dead man.” Draven said and with a flick of his wrists the blades on his weapons began to spin around the handles.

“Luna, Twilight get out of here. I’ll handle Draven.” I said.

“How is a single little coward going to beat me?” Draven laughed.

I smirked pulling up my hood. “Let me show you. CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION! VI!” I transformed into a pink haired woman in light weight metal armor and two giant steam-punk gauntlets.

“Now it’s time to pummel you into the ground you egocentric PRICK!” I said as I punched my left hands palm.

“So, you think transforming into some bitch with oversized gloves will scare me? DIE!” Draven said before throwing his weapons at me.

I smirked and held out a hand. “Stop!” In a moment, Draven’s weapons froze and I walked up and grabbed them while Draven just stared at me with a mix of anger and amusement. “You shouldn’t of underestimated me you, dumbass! Now your weapons are mine.” I placed them in my Hypercube. “I’ve spent the last week incredibly busy, working with Mr. Code on my home, helping around the town, but mostly learning new magic. Now that the odds have shifted in my favor I suggest you surrender or you’re in for a world a hurt!”

“Bring it!” Draven roared and charged.

“Fine more fun for me.” I said in a taunting manner before I cast another spell, “Oomph!” My gauntlets began glowing red, when Draven got close enough I slammed one fist, down knocking him into a Draven shaped crater. “So still think your hot stuff Draven?” I asked as I crouched next to the crater.

Draven didn’t respond but behind me Luna said. “That well-handled sir Thrin. What do you plan to do with him?”

“I’ll hand him over to the royal guard so they can interrogate him.” I replied.

“Who is he?” Twilight asked.

“His name is Draven and he is a Champion from the Noxus Empire. They believe that ‘might makes right’ and from everything I know, are bunch of war hungry villains... well except for one but she’s another story. Draven is their executioner but he makes a sport out of it.” I said before casting a sleep spell on Draven just to make sure he can’t cause any more trouble.

“What kind of monster makes a sport of executing people?” Luna gasped.

“This guy, he says if anyone can escape from him in an arena they can go free, no one has ever gone free.” I said before spitting on Draven as Two of Luna guards arrived with a prisoner transport carriage and at a few words from Luna they took Draven away.

“Make sure he’s in a high security cell!” I called. “I don’t want the risk of that monster getting free.” One of the guards nodded before they threw Draven into the carriage, one they were gone I turned to Luna and said. “Well now that Draven’s on his way to jail why don’t we go back and enjoy the festivities?” The rest of the festival went by without a single incident and some pleasant conversation. Luna made me promise to visit Canterlot at some point which was something I wanted to do even if I had to deal with the stuffy nobles.
Unfortunately, a few days after Nightmare Night came the first snow fall in the Everfree. By the end of the third day of constant snow the snow was half way to my knee which meant that it would be incredibly difficult to get new furniture to my home. It’s been a week since them and I’m currently walking through the Everfree as snow continued falling around me, in the form of the Champion Ashe the Frost Archer.

I was somewhat surprised to see that almost all of the creatures who called the Everfree home hibernated during the winter. When I left the forest, I found that the pegasus hadn’t brought any snow yet so outside the Everfree it was still late autumn. Shrugging I continued my walk I noticed that Fluttershy was heading for town. Waving I called, “Hey Fluttershy how have you been?”

“That you Thrin?” She asked.

I nodded, “Yup, since there’s already snow in the Everfree I chose the form of someone who’s used to the cold.”

“That’s smart, I’ve been fine. I’m heading over to meet up with Rainbow and Pinkie to watch the Sisterhooves Social” Fluttershy said. “By the way are you interested in a pet?”

“Not at the moment, but if I do want one you’ll be the first to know.” I replied. “Mind if I join you for a bit? I was thinking of heading to Canterlot today to make my Token.”

“Not at all.” Fluttershy said before the wasp that was with her landed on my shoulder and I froze. “You alright?”

“Not really, I’ve had a phobia of bees and wasps since I was a kid.” I slowly said trying not to anger the wasp on my shoulder, but as soon as I said this the wasp took off and flew away.

“Are you allergic?” Fluttershy asked worried.

I relaxed a little before shaking my head. “Nope. I have no idea why I have this phobia but as you saw I just freeze instead of doing something that might anger them, but we should probably get going. Don’t want to keep Rainbow waiting too long. You know how impatient she can get” Fluttershy nodded and we began walking to town again.

When we got, their Rainbow greeted us by saying. “Hey Fluttershy and Thrin …that is you right?”

I gasped and change to my normal form before saying. “No, I’m one of the other shapeshifting Summoners that live in a forest that has snow when no other place nearby has any.” When I pulled back my hood Rainbow could see the wide teasing smile on my face.

“Ha…ha…ha.” Rainbow said, “Are you going to stay to watch the Sisterhooves Social?”

“Nah, I’m just dropping by to say hi before I head to Canterlot to make my token and say hi to the Princesses.” I said.

“Unfortunately, you just missed the train to Canterlot and the next one won’t be for another hour.” Twilight said as she joined us.

“Guess I’ll just have to fly there or I could use Shen’s Stand United ability.” I said as I tilted my head thinking.

“Shen? Who’s that?” Twilight asked.

“Remember that ninja I turned into when I saved Ponyville? That’s Shen, his Stand United allows him to teleport to any of his allies no matter how far away they are.” I said.

“I was wondering who that was but forgot to ask.” Rainbow said, “Wait! He’s a Ninja?! That’s awesome!”

“Yup he’s one of four ninjas I can turn into but one of them is evil so I don’t want to use his power yet even if he is really strong.” I said.

“Who are you going to transform into to fly to Canterlot?” Twilight asked.

“I was thinking the Cryophoenix Anivia.” I said scratching my chin.

“Your powers get more and more interesting.” Twilight said. “You’ll have to tell me more about all of the Champions you can turn into soon.”
“True, see you soon. CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION ANIVIA!” I said before I transformed into a bird made entirely out of light blue crystals.

“See all of you later.” I said before taking to the skies. “It’s a good thing Discord helped me learn how to quickly adapt to the Champions bodies. Otherwise I would have had to use my basilisk mount but I like this better. Flying feels amazing!” I thought. It took a while but I reached Canterlot, below me ponies gasped and pointed in wonder. I hovered above the castle gates, wondering if I should just fly in or land and talk to the guards.

Unfortunately, my choice was made for me as one of the nobles yelled. “One thousand bits to whoever catches that bird for me!” Looking in the direction of the voice I saw a dark red unicorn with bright yellow hair and wearing a dark blue coat and top hat.

“Do not think of me as some normal bird. You pompous fool!” I cried before land and returned to my normal form and said as I pulled back my hood. “I am Thrin the Half-Elf! And I demand an apology.”

There was silence for a moment before the unicorn screamed, “What…what kind of hideous monster are you?! Do you know who I am?! The guards should capture you and throw you in the dungeon!”

I looked at him for a moment and face palmed. “Way to be racist. I thought you nobles were meant to be role models on how people should act. I was going to apologies myself for calling you a pompous fool but I guess my statement was right on the money.” I looked at the two guards standing at the castle’s gates. “As I said my name is Thrin. I was invited a week ago by Princess Luna. May I pass?”

“So, you are Thrin. The Princesses did say to expect you and what you looked like. Please enter, the Princesses have been expecting you.” The one on the left said as he opened the gate. “I will send a message ahead, so someone with escort you the them.”

“Thank you very much, I hope you have a nice day.” I said before walking past the gates and up to the castle. I grinned as I imagined what kind of face that noble had when the guards not only ignored him but also let me enter the castle. When I got to the doors they opened and inside waiting for me was a unicorn with a dark purple coat and long violate mane, wearing simple black robes.

“You must be Thrin, I am Spell Weaver one of the mages here. it is nice to make your acquaintance.” She said giving me a small bow.

“It’s nice to meet you to Miss Weaver or should I call you something else?” I said bowing in return.

“Just Weaver is fine, and I feel like I should apologies about the greetings you had. That noble is known to cause trouble to visitors to the city. Please fallow me and I’ll lead you to the Princesses.” Weaver said, I nodded and began walking along side Weaver. “I heard you live in the Castle of the Two Sisters in the Everfree Forest is that true?” Weaver asked.

“Yes, but I don’t think it can be called that anymore.” I said.

“True, I also heard you plan to do some magical experiments, is there a chance I can look at some notes?” she asked.

I gave a small smile and said. “I guess but how did you learn all of this? I haven’t told anyone but the Princesses and the Elements.”

“Oh, Twilight’s dad Night Light is my older brother, after that monster attack a few weeks ago I sent a letter asking if she was alright. Since then she’s told me a lot about you.” Weaver explained as she led me to two giant doors. “This is the main hall. Day court ended a ten minutes ago so it should be quiet in there, and if you get the chance when you get back to Ponyville can you tell Twilight I said hi?”

“Thank you very much Weaver. I’ll be sure to let Twilight know you said hi when I get back.” I said before the doors opened. As I walked in I saw a white unicorn with a well-groomed mane and tail talking to Princess Celestia.

As I walked closer I heard “…king for this Bolarc but with no luck. They even searched the mountain from top to bottom and didn’t find a single trace of him. There wasn’t even a single monster and this worries me. How can he have vanished so thoroughly?”

“I don’t know nephew and this news of a strange jester with a staff also worries me but I don’t know why. OH! Hello Thrin.” Celestia said and her nephew turn to look at me.

“Ah! So, you are the mysterious Thrin! Auntie told me about how you saved Ponyville and the Elements a few weeks ago. I am Prince Blueblood it’s an honor to finally meet you.” Blueblood said.

“It’s an honor to meet you too Prince. I’m sorry I overheard but did you mention a jester Princess?” I asked after greeting Prince Blueblood. I was surprised he was being polite after watching the show, but when I considered the multiverse I figured there had to be versions of Blueblood who weren’t spoiled brats.

“Yes, I did, and the few times he’s been within earshot of anyone he can be heard mumbling the words ‘Pity. Such a Pity.’ Do you know anything about this person?” Celestia asked.

“Yes, I do. He is a man named Dhoulmagus. Do you remember the Lips and Funghouls?” I said.

“Do mean the slug and mushroom like monsters?” Celestia asked.

“Yes, he is from the same game series they are from. In the game, he was a very ambitious wizard who stole an old scepter after sneaking into a castle under the guise of a jester. The reason for this is the scepter was supposed to grants whoever wields it immense magical power but what wasn’t know was that an ancient evil named Rhapthorn was sealed inside of it. While Dhoulmagus did get the power, he wanted Rhapthorn possesses anyone who wields the scepter.” I explained. “The reason I think it’s Dhoulmagus is because when Rhapthorn possesses anyone is catch phrase is ‘Pity. Such a pity.”

“I see then we should keep an eye out for Dhoulmagus as well as Bolarc, and does this scepter have a name?” Celestia sighed.

“It's called the Godbird Scepter, but we don’t know if this Dhoulmagus is as evil as the one from the game, I suggest that if any of your guards confront him, they should be extra careful.” I said.

“I agree with you Thrin but I am a little curious on how this Rhapthorn was sealed inside the scepter.” Blueblood said.

“He was sealed there by seven sages with the help of a dimension wandering bird named Empyrea, and as long as the bloodline of the sages continued the seal would hold. Dhoulmagus is responsible for killing four of the seven descendants while he was possessed.” I said before adding, “I do hope we get to meet Empyrea, I always wanted to meet her.”

Celestia chuckled a little and said, “I hope we can meet her too, but if Dhoulmagus only killed four of the descendants who killed the other three?”

“After the Hero and his friends Yangus, Jessica and Angelo killed Dhoulmagus, Jessica picked up the staff. No one knew at the time that Rhapthorn was inside it and so she was possessed. Luckily Hero, Yangus and Angelo stopped Jessica before she could kill anyone however a dog by the name of Sir Leopold picked it up transforming him into a winged dog with a long snake like tail…who could somehow talk with the scepter in his mouth, I still don’t know if it was telepathy that allowed him to communicate. Leopold went on to kill two more descendants before he was stopped. Only for Angelo’s older half-brother Marcello to kill the last descendant. However, Marcello wasn’t under the control of Rhapthorn, he was able to fight off the possession thanks to his strong will.”

“So why did he kill the last descendant?” Blueblood asked.

“Marcello is the son of a noble and his maid. When the noble’s wife gave birth to Angelo, Marcello and his mom were thrown out and soon after his mom died. Marcello always blamed Angelo for his mom dyeing and joined the templars, a group of knights who serve the church. Even when he became a Captain it wasn’t enough especially when Angelo came to the same church Marcello lived in when his parents died in a fire. After the death of Abbot Francisco at the hands of Dhoulmagus Marcello was tasked with protecting the Lord High Priest who is the leader of the church and the highest authority of the world’s main religion. Marcello used the power of the scepter to kill the High Priest and take his place. However, the High Priest was the last descendant so when Marcello lost control of the scepter after Hero and his friends beat him Rhapthorn was freed. I don’t remember if Marcello died but Hero and his friends soon managed to kill Rhapthorn.” I explained.

“While I can sympathies for his loss. If he was willing to thrust his hate on someone who never truly wronged him, then I don’t think he should have held any power at all, but what happened to the leaders of the castle the scepter was held at?” Celestia said.

“You took the words right out of my mouth Auntie, but I must ask why you keep calling the one responsible to stopping Rhapthorn Hero and not his name.” Blueblood said.

“King Trode was transformed into a green skin troll and his daughter Medea was turned into a white mare. Personally, I think he looked better as a troll but that might be because he’s like that for the entire game except for the last cutscene and flashbacks.” I said before turning to Blueblood, “And that’s because he has no cannon name. Yangus calls him Guv. Jessica, Angelo, and King Trode call him whatever you named him. Everyone else just calls him what you named him or Hero.”

“Makes sense if he was meant to be an avatar for the player.” Blueblood said before turning to Celestia, “I’ll see you later Auntie. I’m going to inform the guards to spread the word about Dhoulmagus.”

Chapter 6: A Surprise Test

View Online

After Blueblood left the room Celestia asked, “So how can I help you Thrin?”

“Last week Luna told me that the closest blacksmith was in Canterlot and since I need a small break from learning magic I decide I would drop by before heading there.” I said.

“I hope you’re enjoying the city, and I’ll let Luna know you’re here.” Celestia said with a smile.

I shrugged before saying, “So far it’s been fine but when I arrived a noble thought I was just some random bird and tried to get people to catch me and when I returned to normal he called me a monster, but so far he’s the only problem I’ve ran into. I did meet Twilight’s aunt Spell Weaver and she was nice.”

“Let me guess, a dark red unicorn with yellow hair that likes to wear a dark blue coat and hat?” Celestia sighed.

“That’s the guy,” I said nodding.

Celestia sighed and rubbed her forehead with a hoof. “I must apologies, ever since he began living in Canterlot he’s often caused trouble with visitors. I’d do something but he hasn’t broken any laws, at least he knows better than to insult visiting dignitaries.”

“Ah well, eventually he’s bound to lose what little power he thinks he has.” I said.

“I agree but enough about him, come I’ll show to you the forge.” Celestia said before turning to one of the guards. “Let my sister know that Thrin’s here and where we’re going.” The guard nodded and walked off. “but I am curious on why they thought you were a bird, were you in the form of a Champion?”

“Yes, I was in the form of Anivia the Cryophoenix.” I said as Celestia and I walked out of the hall.

“I haven’t head of a Cryophoenix in a very long time, I fear that they’ve gone extent in this universe. Because no one has seen a Cryophoenix since before Luna and I became Equestria’s rulers.” Celestia said with a sad smile. “Luna told me that you want to make you Token at the forge.”

“That’s right, the Champion Poppy was trained as a blacksmith before her dad died and she took up a powerful mace as her weapon.” I said. “By the way, have you gotten any information out of Draven?”

Celestia shook her head. “Nothing but insults and threats. He tried to breakout two days ago and we had to banish him to Tartarus after he injured more than half of the Royal Guard.”

“Damn, I’m glad I took his weapons when I did!” I said staring at Celestia in disbelief.

“I agree, if he is this dangerous without them I dread to think how he is with them, but that does bring up the question on how you beat him so easily.” Celestia said.

“Step one change into the Champion Vi, Step two cast Stop on his weapons after he threw them. step three take said weapons. Step four make him mad enough to attack close range. Step five cast Oomph which boosts my attack power and Step six punch him into the ground.” I replied, “I knew Draven was arrogant enough he would attack without his axes, and Vi’s weapons already increase the power of her punches. Add the spell Oomph to that and he went down like that.” I snapped my fingers.

“In terms of pure power, where would you rank him in terms of your Champions?” Celestia asked as we walked out one of the castles side doors.

“Difficult to say. All the Champions have different strengths and weaknesses, and have to pass incredibly difficult tests before they can be called a Champion, but If I only took the Champions of Noxus into account then… maybe… hmm you know I’m not sure. However, I do know that out of the twelve Noxus Champions there is only ONE I would transform into unless I had no other choice.” I said grabbing my chin as I thought.

“Who’s that?” Luna asked as she flew down to join us.

“Riven the Exile. She trained all her life to be a solder and was granted with a magical rune sword when she became a captain, heavier than a kite shield and almost as broad. When Noxus invaded the more spiritual country of Ionia she never paused in battle, because she never had a trace of doubt in her mind, never a fear of death. At one point her unit was surrounded. When they called for backup all they got was a bombardment of chemical death, courtesy of the Mad Chemist Singed. With her counted among the dead she broke her sword and started a life of self-imposed exile, searching for a way to seek atonement and to find a way Noxus the way she believed it should be.”

“That’s very interesting. Ah here is the forge. Thrin this is our forge master Masamune.” Luna said as she introduced, much to my surprise a Diamond Dog. He was half my height a wore a thick tunic to protect his body from the heat, gloves that looked like he had been using them for years, a silver bandanna to keep the sweat out of his eyes and nothing else.

“Masamune greets you Princesses of the Day and Night. Who is stranger you have brought to Masamune’s forge?” he asked.

“My name is Thrin, I’m wondering if I can use your forge to make something.” I said.

“You no look like smith, why you want Masamune’s forge?” he inquired.

“While I am no smith I can transform into someone who was trained to be one. I wish to make a small golden medallion.” I said.

“Just because you can turn into smith, no means you ARE smith.” Masamune said crossing his arms.

“Correct but when I transform I gain the abilities and knowledge of who I turn into, but I lose those abilities and knowledge when I return to normal.” I explained.

“Hmm. Masamune have hard time believing. Show! Prove to Masamune that your words are true or Masamune will throw you out!” he said jabbing a finger in my direction.

“Very well.” I sighed I wondered if the Masamune from ancient japan was easier to deal with then this guy was. “CHAMPION TRANSORMATION! POPPY!” After I said this the ultramarine light that singled my transformation filled the forge and revealed the form of Poppy but something was different. Instead of Poppy’s normal armor I was wearing leather jerkin, gloves, boots, a belt with tool around my waste, and hat which had a visor to shield my eyes. I blinked surprised. “This is odd.” I said.

“What’s odd Thrin?” Celestia asked.

“Somehow I unlocked one of Poppy’s alternate outfits but I have no idea how. Maybe it’s because I turned into her at a forge and want to do some smiting?” I said as I scratched my head perplexed.

“It no matter how, Masamune see your words ring with truth. Can see skill in eyes! You free to use forge whenever you want. Now come we have much work to do!” Masamune as he motioned for me to fallow. “Now what size medallion do you wish to make? You said you wanted it to be made of Gold? That no problem! Gold is most common metal. Main reason we use it to make armor but Masamune no like making armor from gold. It weak metal without magic! Masamune always like iron more but iron not easily found in these lands! Buried to deep. Even Diamond Dogs have hard time finding iron.”

I was a little surprised when he completely changed tone so quickly, I tried to shrug it off by saying. “I want it to be about the size of my palm when I’m in my true form.” As I spoke I gave a wave to Celestia and Luna which they returned before they left the forge.

“What shape? What kind of emblem?” Masamune inquired.

“A simple hexagon with two L’s on it.” I replied.

“That very simple, we be done before sun takes its rest! Even with normal enchantments to make gold strong! I glad, it be long time since I have simple job. This be good for forge two, always have projects that make me push it hard, even forge sometimes need rest. No more talk time to work!” Masamune said as he grabbed two gold bars off a nearby shelf. The rest of the day was a flurry of sparks and the sounds metal against metal. True to his words we were done and hour before sunset. “All that’s left is to place magic gem on work as it cools. When done gold be good and strong.”

“I can’t thank you enough Masamune. This was an incredible experience and one I will not be forgetting any time soon. Now how much do I owe you?” I asked as I returned to normal and pulled a bag of bits out of my Hypercube.

“500 bits. This may be fun, simple project that give forge time to rest but Masamune still run business.” Masamune said.

I nodded and pulled out the money. “You come back now! Masamune want to see what else you can make as that smith!” he said before handing me the medallion.

“I will. See you next time.” I said before I left.

“Hello Thrin, I came to check if you were done.” Celestia said as she walked up.

“Yup. We finished a little while ago, now all that’s left is to give my token a small bit of my power and information on who I am.” I said.

“That’s good. I was told that there is already snow in the Everfree, is the snow light enough that equipment can be delivered so your experiments can begin? I must admit I am curious what kind of experiments you plan to do.” Celestia said.

I shook my head and replied. “After three days of snow it was half way to my knees so wagons would have a difficult time making it to my home even with the path I made. As for what I plan to do I was thinking of trying to make a warp gate that will help your troops get to where they’re needed faster. I got the idea when Cecil and his team helped me fight Bolarc’s monsters because they arrived in a similar kind of portal. I currently don’t have any other experiments in mind… hmmm I should pick up some blank tomes while I’m here.”

“You’ll have to wait until tomorrow for that. Your free to stay at the castle tonight so you don’t have to travel in the dark.” Celestia suggested.

“Would I have to see more stuck up nobles? Because if so then I really wish I didn’t have to restrict which Champions I used. I know Fiddlesticks could scare them into behaving.” I said.

“As much as I would love to see that I don’t want the headache that they would bring afterwards, and… there’s a Champion named Fiddlesticks?” Celestia snickered before getting a confused look.

“He’s an evil scarecrow whose title is the Harbinger of Doom.” I said shrugging as Celestia gave me a blank look. “I know he’s kinda weird.” When I turned to walk back to the castle I didn’t see the mischievous look Celestia had

*Next day*

I was walking along side Spell Weaver who had offered to show me around Tia’s School for Gifted Unicorns after I bought the empty tomes, when an old unicorn with a small pointed beard in a long black robe, approached us. “You must be the mysterious Thrin, the Elf of the Wild Wood. I am Headmaster White Gem.”

“I am indeed Thrin, but I’m afraid I’m not a full-blooded elf. I am a half-elf, and I must say this is an incredible school you have here. Have you ever thought about inviting other races who can use magic to this school?” I asked.

“A few times but the student exchange program I want to put in place keeps getting blocked by some nobles who think they can do my job better than me.” White Gem let out a growl of frustration. “but enough about them, the Princesses tell me you are a magus who wields no small amount of power.”

“I do, but only when I change forms and my magic works differently than the magic unicorns have, why do you ask?” I asked.

“We have been working on a small project and I was wondering if we could get your opinion?” White Gem asked.

I shrugged. “I don’t mind but I doubt I could be much help.”

“You can use one of you other forms if you need to. Please fallow me.” White Gem said as he turned and motioned for us to fallow. I shot a look at Spell Weaver and gave a ‘might as well’ look. We fallowed White Gem to an empty class room with a large equation taking up the entire blackboard. “This is the problem were having, some of our professors are trying to figure out how to make magical constructs but have run into some difficulties. What do you think?” White Gem asked.

As I looked at the equation I realized I’d seen one just like it in the tome that tough how to summon the League of Legends Minions I had read the night after I fought with Draven. Taking a moment to remember the written explanation I saw the part of the equation and immediately understood the problem. “I see what’s wrong. The first part is that your trying to imbue the constructs with artificial souls. I would suggest making their cores out of mana imbued crystals or pure mana if you’re creating them from scratch with this spell instead, and work on figuring out the soul problem at a later date. As for the other parts I'm not going to say.”

“Why would you suggest that? Wouldn’t they become more reliable with the soul?” White Gem asked.

“They could but they could also become uncontrollable. Even if it's artificial, a soul it is still a soul” I explained.

“How did you come to this conclusion?” Weaver asked.

I grinned. “This spell nexus is the exact same as one I use to make construct simply called a Minion,” As I spoke I pointed at the ground next to me and cast the spell summoning a red and blue Spell Caster class Minion.

“There are four kinds of Minions and they can only be used for combat because they were made to assist the Champions during a match. This is the spell nexus to create the Spell Caster class.”

“That must take up a lot of mana.” White Gem said as he examined the Minions.

“You’d be surprised. While the spell itself that takes the most mana, while the Minions require very little to maintain. In fact, I used the same about of mana it would take to levitate this book for a minute,” I said as I pulled the Thoron Tome out of the Hypercube. “as it does to summon those Minions.”

“Incredible. Is it as easy to summon multiple Minions as it is to summon these two?” Weaver asked.

“It can be but the best way to summon a large number is to use a focusing crystal. With one large enough you can easily summon twelve at once and they will continue to be summoned every minute.” I explained. "However I'm afraid I can't let you use this spell with out my consent since it's origin is from Runterra and I don't want to risk this spell becoming common knowledge. Anyone to learns the compete version will have access to a near infinite army. I could look into making constructs that aren't meant for war when I have the time but that might take some time since i have a few other things i want to do first.”

White Gem nodded and smiled. “Thank you very much for your help Thrin…”

“And congratulations of passing the first part of the Arch Mage test.” Celestia said as she and Luna removed an illusion that was hiding them.

Weaver and I were silent for a few minutes before I said a flat. “What?”

“You have already shown your skill with magic when you saved Ponyville, and when you made the paths in the Everfree.” Luna said before Celestia continued.

“You’ve shown knowledge not just from this test but when you told me about the other worlds and you just helped solve a problem that has boggled the minds of unicorns for the last fifty years.”

I looked at Weaver and she gave me an equally confused look. “Is this why you wanted me to show Thrin around the School?” Weaver asked looking at Professor White Gem.

“I will neither confirm nor deny this.” He said with a small smile.

“How long have you been planning this?” I asked giving Celestia an annoyed look.

“Since you made those paths.” Celestia answered with a small smile.

“I can’t believe you just made this kind of decision without consulting me. When’s the next part of this test?” I asked as I face palmed.

“We haven’t decided yet, for now why don’t you go relax. We’ll let you know when we’ve decide what the next part will be.” Celestia said.

“There is nothing I can say to change your mind on this, is there?” I asked.

“Why would we? When Luna, Blueblood, Professor Gem, and I agree you deserve to be the first Arch Mage since Starswirl?” Celestia replied.

“Because I haven’t done a single magical experiment yet? I haven’t made any magical discoveries?” I countered.

“While that may be true, for now. Considering your knowledge on the magic from other worlds and the fact you already told me about that warp gate you want to make, which by its self will be an enormous advancement in magic. We feel you’ll deserve the title.” Celestia said with Luna and White Gem nodding.

I looked at Weaver and sighed. “Fine but tell me the next time you come up with a plan that revolves around me, but i am serious on not letting you complete this spell."

"We'll talk about it, but many will be disappointed if we shut this down after fifty years of hard work." White Gem said.

I nod before looking at Weaver. "I’ll see you later, I’m going to head home. Something tells me Twilight’s going to be annoyed once she hears about this.”

*Later at Twilights house*

“I don’t believe this, no one has taken this test for over a hundred years, and then this happens.” Twilight said.

“Well if it makes you feel better, they didn’t even ask if it wanted to take the test.” I said worked on translating the Fire Emblem’s Thunder tome.

“No that doesn’t make me feel better! In fact it makes me feel worse! If you pass this test you’ll be the first since Starswirl the Bearded and you’re acting like you don’t care!” Twilight said as Spike walked into the room.

“Twi, you’ve been going on like this since Thrin told you about it hours ago.” Spike said, giving Twilight an annoyed look.

“Twilight, if I pass the test I pass the test,” I said looking up. “But right now, I have other things I need to worry about. Including mastering my powers and finding a way to minimize the risk of Champions personalities can affect me, but I don’t think I’ll be able to find one until Celestia and Luna release Discord. So, until then I’ll just have to do my best with what I have. Not to mention since Draven appeared, there might be other Champions here, and trust me when I say that, Noxus is like a rabid wolf compared to most of the Champions from the Void or the Shadows Isles. While a rabid wolf is still dangerous the Void and Shadow Isles are far worse.”

“Are they really that bad?” Twilight asked worried.

“Noxus wants to control all with an iron fist. The Champions of the Void want to destroy worlds and spread the power of the Void, and the Champions of the Shadow Isles want to spread nothing but death and destruction, but just like Noxus there are exceptions. The Champion Kassadin uses the power of the Void to fight against the Void and the undead Champion Yorick wants to return the Shadow Isles to how it was before they became corrupted and evil.”

Taking a moment to process all of this Twilight finally stopped pacing at sat down in a chair before asking, “There’s something I’ve been curious about for a while. How did you become friends with Discord?”

“Well after I was petrified, I resigned myself for a long and incredibly boring wait…” I began after placing book marks into my two tomes before Spike interrupted.

“Wait a moment, you were conscious?” Spike asked with a slightly horrified look.

“Yup but as far as I know only Discord and I were.” I said shrugging, “I first met Discord the day after I was petrified because I was positioned in just the right spot for the sun to shine right into my eyes every… single… sunrise. It’s a good thing that eyes made of stone can’t be damaged by sun light.” I said incredibly annoyed at the memory. “So, when I woke up yelling in anger, Discord asked who I was and why I got petrified. I explained who I was and showed him a little of the chaos humans can make with something called, the internet. After that we became fast friends. He helped me train and I showed him more of what humans made to entertain ourselves.”

“Really? What was the first thing you showed him?” Spike asked.

“I believe it was a freaking weird song from an old movie called Dumbo. The song itself is about pink elephants.” I said.

“YOU’RE the reason Discord made singing pink elephants that walked on two feet?” Twilight asked as her left eye twitched.

“…I accept no responsibility for what Discord did with what I showed him. Now if you excuse me I have a few books that need to be translated.” I said before quickly making my way out of the library.

Chapter 7: Battle Against a Necromancer

View Online

Almost nine weeks had passed since I told Twilight that I’m the one who told Discord about the pink elephants and snow had arrived to the rest of Equestria and if I thought it was cold before it was freezing now, I’m seriously glad my robe has a built-in heating spell otherwise I’d be screwed because without my robe I can’t transform into the Champions. Once I returned home after making an uh… tactical retreat from an annoyed Twilight, I delved into my first real project, which is to learn all I can from the spell tomes and scrolls I bought before I start working on the warp gate. Translating the Fire Emblem tomes is proceeding at a stable pace. So far, I’ve finished translating the first of each element and much to my surprise all the tomes that I had translated were stories of different heroes who used the different elements. The Thunder and Wind Tomes were about the Shinto gods Fujin and Raijin so I had fun learning a little more about them.

As pleased as I was with how fast I translated some of the tomes and became accustomed to the magic held within the pages, I was completely stumped on how I’m going to proceed with my secret project and no matter how hard I tried to push the question out of my mind it was always there like an itch you can’t reach. I’d even transformed in to every Champion that I didn’t have on my ‘forbidden’ or 'restricted' list, who focuses on magic and none of them had any information that could help which just made me even more frustrated.

It didn’t help that ever since I woke up I’ve been in a bad mood and the problem with my and the problem with my projects wasn’t helping. Currently I’m in my study at the top of the tower going over a few notes I had made since I began studding magic. “GAH FORGET THIS!” I yelled tempted to push the dozens of papers and books of my desk in my fit of rage. “I need a break.” I muttered before making my way out of my study and to a window with a small ledge so if I wasn’t paying attention to my front door then Rainbow had another way to get my attention. “CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION! ANIVIA!”

As I flew over the snow covered Everfree I was grateful for how quiet and beautiful everything was, until I saw smoke billowing up from Ponyville. “Wonder what’s going on. *sigh* I highly doubt Pinkie would let anyplace in town burn down,” Once I was over the town I saw something that didn’t make my mood any better, in fact it made it worse. In the center of Ponyville I saw a ring of twelve skeleton solders in moldy leather armor and rusty swords. Six of them had their blades to Twilight’s and the other’s throats. Standing in the ring was a large ram with dark blue fur, a red collar with gold circlets on it and held a tall wooden staff with a skull carved out of a black stone with his right hoof. Unfortunately, the smoke was coming from the remains of three houses.

Surrounding the ring was a group of Royal Guards, most of them were panting but were ready to continue fighting the undead. “You’re so called ‘greatest defenders of the realm’ are now at my mercy. Now do as I say and bring me the wizard that lives in the Everfree! And be quick about it! I’m not one you want to make wait”

“Why wait? I’m here now.” I yelled as I landed on the ground and returned to my true form with the snow crunching under my shoes. “Now who the hell are you?”

“I am Grogar, and if you want these six to live you will swear loyalty to me and become my servant!” Grogar exclaimed. “And don’t even think of trying anything. If you transform I’ll have my minions kill them immediately. Once I heard of you and your power I knew it would be wasted by you aligning you’re self with these ponies, but if you work for me you’d be free to study whatever you wanted, and…”

As Grogar continued his monolog, I cast a Libra spell on him before doing the same to his undead. [Grogar the Necromancer. HP: ???? MP: ???? No Weaknesses, No Resistances] [Skeleton Barbarian HP: 5/5 MP: 0000 No Weaknesses. Resistances to Slash damage, Blunt damage, Piercing Damage, Fire, Ice, Lighting, Poison, Wind, Earth, Gravity, Water, Dark, Charm.]

(HAH! The dumbass didn’t make himself resistant to death spells, isn’t that kind of thing Necromancy 101? But how the hell did he make these things that fucking resilient? Oh well, I guess it doesn’t matter. One Cure spell and they’ll all return to death, but how am I going to get them away from the Undead?)

My thoughts were interrupted by Grogar yelling. “Stop ignoring me! or do you not care what happens to them?”

I looked at Grogar, smirked then said. “Sorry what was that? I was too busy thinking of what book I should read next.”

“Are you mocking me?!”

Raising a hand, I said. “Oh no, no, no, no, no…....pfft. Yeah. But then again, I have this. Cure!” A white glow emanated from my hand before the skeletons also began to glow. The ones holding my friends dropped their swords and released their hostages before they along with their weapons and armor turned to dust as guards quickly got Twilight and the others out of danger.

“IMPOSSIBLE! Grrr no matter I can still…” Grogar yelled as he raised his staff.

“Silence!” I yelled interrupting Grogar as a ball of light green energy shot out of my palm and hit him in the chest.

When nothing happened Grogar asked. “My... my magic! What happened?! WHAT DID YOU DO!”

“Simple. I saved my friends. You see I’ve been in a bad mood all day, and you threatening my friends didn’t help.” I said as I slowly walked towards him. “I came to town looking for a chance to relax, but what do I find? Some dumbass who went and bit off more than he could chew. As for what that last spell did, I'd say that's obvious.” As I drew closer to Grogar he changed how he was holding his staff so he was ready to fight. At least until I reached into my Hypercube and pulled out a silver katana with a bronze hilt shaped somewhat like a V with small two wings. Inside the V on both sides of the hilt are two amethysts that glowed with imbued magic, but what made Grogar falter was that the entire sword glowed purple and parts of this aura kept splintering off in the form of sakura petals before dissipating.

“What… what is that?” Grogar asked unable to keep his fear out of his voice as he involuntarily took a step back as if he sensed something about my blade.

“This is my sword it's called a Youmuu’s Ghostblade. There are many like it but this one is mine.” I replied stopping in my tracks and pointing the sword at him. “Now then do you surrender? Because after the way today's been going I am in no mood for anymore of your bullshit.”

Grogar didn’t say anything as he reached under his collar and pulled out a small black and red orb. “Surrender? No. Now that I know more of what your capable of I’ll be ready for you next… GARRR MY HOOF!” Before Grogar could continue I quickly moved in and slashed at his hoof making him drop the orb but he quickly retaliated with his staff. As the two of us fought it quickly became apparent that Grogar had the advantage and was pushing me back and getting more then a few good hits in. Somehow during the fight Grogar got his staff between my legs and pulled it to the side causing me to fall onto my ass with my blade flying out of my hands where it landed blade first into the ground behind Grogar before he used the skull to bash me in the gut almost knocking the wind out of me. “While you know magic that makes my undead useless, it’s obvious that I’m better then you when it comes to a strait up fight!”

“That may be true but here’s the thing.” I said as I threw a handful of snow into Grogar’s eyes making him jerk back in surprise as he wipes the snow away with his free hoof. “I’m not afraid to fight dirty when I need to.” Darting to my feet I grabbed Grogar’s staff and wrenched it out of his clutches, and used it to bash him in the back of the head. Once Grogar was on the ground the surrounding guards rushed to arrest him but before they reached him the orb Grogar dropped shattered and Grogar was enveloped in a pillar of black flame while the staff in my hand turned to black smoke that flew into the flames. When the flames died down Grogar had vanished.

“You alright Thrin?” Twilight asked as she and the others approached.

“I’ll be fine, bit pissed at how the day’s been going so far but what can ya do?” I said as a wisp of green fire appeared before me before transforming into a scroll. Grabbing it I quickly read it and learned that a large red squid or octopus like creature has been causing problems at Manehattan making it almost impossible to get ships in and out of the port. “And when it rains it pours!”

“What’s going on Thrin?” Rarity asked worried.

“We’re needed in Manehattan because a large red octopus like creature is preventing ships of sailing and Celestia wants me and Twilight to help while the rest of you help investigate to see if anyone was involved in causing this incident. Princess Luna is sending us carriages that will be here in half an hour.” I replied.

“How are we supposed ta do that?” Applejack asked.

“If I had to guess, asking around if anyone seen anything unusual or suspicious. My theory is it’s the work of a man named Dhoulmagus.” I said.

“Why? And who’s Dollmegan?” Twilight asked.

I stared at Twilight for a moment before breaking out in laughter. “Not Dollmegan, Dhoulmagus but I am going to use that as a nickname for him from now on!” Once I calmed down I said. “Dhoulmagus is a villain from a game I used to play. Do you remember the mushroom and slug monsters that attacked the town with the orcs?”

“Yes, but why did you bring up the horrid things?” Rarity asked.

“Dhoulmagus is from the same universe and in that universe he did manipulated a kraken named khalamari to do EXACT same thing, but I’m surprised Tia didn’t tell all of you about Dhoulmagus.” I replied.

“Guess she thought we could use a break after Discord.” Pinkie said shrugging.

“That’s… probably exactly why she didn’t. Here’s a few things you should know about him first he’s dressed like a jester…”

Before I could continue Rainbow and Pinkie started laughing before Rainbow managed to say. “HAHAHA! You’re scared of a jester?!”

“Rainbow this jester was possessed by a God of Darkness named Rhapthorn because his soul was sealed in a magical staff called the Godbird Scepter, and this allows him to possess ANYONE who holds it. While possessed Dhoulmagus went on to kill many people including four out of seven of the descendants of the sages who sealed Rhapthorn in the staff. Each death of a sage weakened the seal on Rhapthorn’s soul and the first one was supposed to be a very powerful wizard.” I said in a sharp voice that made both stop laughing and look at me horrified. “So, if you see a tall pale human dressed like a jester while in Manehattan. DON’T fight him, don’t fallow him, don’t approach him. Just get out of there and let me know as soon as you can. So, pack your bags girls because we only have fifteen minutes the carriage Princess Luna sent to pick us up will get here.”

“What are you going to do in the meantime? Just wait out here?” Fluttershy asked.

“I’m going to wait in the library and work on translating my Elwind tome.” I said.

“Do you really need to translate all of them?” Twilight asked.

“Not really considering I've finished translating the first three books, but it helps me remember the language that gives the Tomes power and I can’t use the spell unless I can understand the language. Besides each Tome has a story that’s both enjoyable and interesting… well at least the ones I’ve already translated do. Don’t really know what the rest will have.” I said shrugging

“I…guess that makes sense? But how come you’ve never mentioned this magic before?” Rarity asked.

A large grin crept its way onto my face as I said. “No one ever asked what kind of magic I know or what I bought from Shopkeep, so I never brought it up.” Twilight's only response to this is a facehoof.

*On the flight, five minutes away from Manehattan*

For most of the flight everyone was quiet so I used that time to think about which champions to use apart from Anivia but after thinking about the last few fights I decide not to choose a Champion for the remaining slots before the fight and only choose Nami the Tidecaller. After I pulled out my Elwind tome again Twilight finally asked. “You said no one asked what kind of magic you know, so now I’m asking. What kind of magic do you know?”

“I was wondering when someone was going to ask, but since we’re so close to Manehattan, I’m not going to count the magic that the Champions know and only focus on magic from one Universe, which I call the ‘Final Fantasy’ universe.” I replied my eyes never leaving the book as Twilight grumbled saying I was ‘Holding back valuable information’ and wishing that she had asked earlier. “There are five categories to this magic. Black, White, Blue, Time, and Summoning. Black Magic is based on Offence and mostly focuses on the power of Fire, Ice, and Lighting but it also has Wind, Water, and various spells that induce a ‘status ailment’ such as Sleep and Silence. White Magic is for healing and support. I can also use it's healing spells to hurt undead which I demonstrated when I saved all of you. It also allows me to ‘Scan’ the opponent so I can see if they have any weaknesses, but it doesn’t say what ability’s they might have."

"Blue magic is where someone learns their spells from their opponents, mainly by having the spell cast on them but I do know of one Blue Mage who EATS their target to gain the spell but they are… odd to say the least. Time magic is exactly what it sounds like but it also has a few spells that effect gravity. And last is Summoning which might be the most complex of the five categories. With the right spell, it allows someone to summon a variety of different beings known as Eidolons. Each one has a unique power but I haven’t spent much time learning this kind of magic so I have only memorized the way to summoning one Eidolon. A small wind spirit known as Sylph but I don’t know if that’s enough to summon her.”

“How many other Ehdo… Edole….. Summons are there?” Applejack asked.

“Let’s see...” I pulled the large scroll out of my hypercube, after looking through it for five minutes I said. “If I learn every spell, I’ll have the ability to summon seventy-six of them but I’m 95% sure there are more.” Everyone’s jaw dropped upon hearing how many there were. (And if Rhapthorn’s trapped within the Godbird Scepter, then chances are I’m going to need spend more time on learning magic and more about my abilities, and less on my other projects… not that I was making any progress on them, anyways.) I thought scowling before shaking my head.

Rainbow opened her mouth to say something but before she could the carriage jerked as it touched down. Once we left the carriage I saw that hundreds of ponies were looking at the seven of us curious, but many of the more ‘upper crust’ ponies scoffed in disgust when they saw me before returning to their business. “All right, let’s take care this and get out of here. After being in my tower for so long I’m a bit uncomfortable with so many ponies staring at me, and remember what I said about Dhoulmagus.” I said before everyone nodded and we went our separate ways.

Once Twilight and I reached the docks an old gryphon approached us. His hind legs are those of a black panther and his torso is that of an osprey but both his fur and feathers were graying with age and his front left leg had been replaced with a peg leg. In a gruff voice he said. “Are you the ones the Princesses sent to help? I was told to expect ‘the elf of the wild wood’.”

“We are, but I’m afraid you have been misinformed because I’m the ‘half-elf of the wild wood’.” I replied before Twilight asked.

“What can you tell us about the attacks and may we know your name?”

“Folks around here call me Willie, as for the attacks there’s not much to tell. Boat goes out and not even five minutes into the voyage, the beast comes up and attacks. Heck I nearly lost my last talon two days ago.”

“Did the kraken say anything?” I asked.

“Why would it? From everything we’ve seen it’s just a violent beast tartarusbent on ruining our lives, and are you sure it’s a kraken? Because if it is then I think we’ll have to shut this harbor down. After all krakens are one of the strongest beasts of the sea.” Willie said worried..

Twilight pulled the Bestiary out of her saddle bag and flipped through the pages. “I doubt you’ll find what we’re facing in their Twi. It is missing most of the more powerful creatures from the world.” I said.

“Then what are we going to do?” Twilight asked. “I do think we should fight this kind of creature from a ship’s deck.”

“I’ll try to draw its attention away from the city so we can fight it from a beach. Then after it’s weakened we can try to break any enchantment that might have been placed on it, or capture it so it can be relocated into a part of the sea where it won’t bother anyone.”

“Why don’t you just kill the thing and be done with it?” Willie asked.

“That is a possibility, but I don’t think we should do that unless we have to.” Twilight said as she looked a bit sick to her stomach at the thought of personally ending a creature’s life.

Rubbing Twilights back I said. “I doubt it will come to that, but we should get started with getting the kraken away from the city. You head to a beach south of town while I distract the kraken. Once you’re there send a burst of magic into the sky and I’ll head right over. All right?”

Twilight nodded before Willie said. “How are you going to get to it? I mean its winter so the water’s going to be freezing.”

“That won’t be a problem.” I said before breaking into a run and dashed over nearby pier. When I reached the end I jumped with all my might and yelled. “CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION! NAMI!” Right when I finished there was a splash and I vanished under the waves.

“WHAT THE HELL IS HE THINKING?!” Willie yelled in shock before someone jumped out of the water a short distance from the pier. They wore what looked like a silver crown with a large sapphires connoted to a necklace with more sapphires, long blond hair that looked like it was made of seaweed, instead of legs they have a large dolphin like tail, and they’re covered in light green scales. A large staff could be seen clutched in their hands before they dove back into the ocean.

“Well… You don’t see that every day.” Willie said.

Twilight turned to Willie. “How far is the closest beach?”

“Well there are a few small ones nearby but the closest one large enough for what you want is a five minute walk.” Willie said.

“Thanks!” Twilight said before galloping away.

“I wish you luck… you’ll need it.” Willie said as his eyes glowed with a subtle red light left his eyes as subtle wisps of red smoke before dispersing in the wind.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I quickly swam through the cold waters, but to me it felt more like the water was only lukewarm. (Thank you Nami and your cold resistance!) His eyes darting back and forth looking for his target, until he noticed a large shadow out of the corner of his eye. (There you are! Now how to…WOH!) Thrin’s thoughts were interrupted when two large red tentacles shot towards me dodging I thought. (NOPE! NOPE! NOPE! NOPE!) As the shadow moved closer I saw a large red and purple form that just a fusion of octopus and squid just like what was in the letter.

“Khalamari. I was right, now why are you doing this!” I shouted by Khalamari didn’t reply but instead tried to grab me again as fifteen smaller form shot towards me. Each fish his light green and grey and their faces resembled pigs. “Wild boarfish… gotta be honest I didn’t see you coming.”

As I dodged the pig like puffer fish and Khalamari’s tentacles two blue, and very pissed Lake Ness monster clones with large green horns show at me from below. “Seasaur’s too?! You know what? Screw this!”

Raising my staff the water began to turn and froth around me until I was in the middle of a large whirlpool. “GO BACK TO THE DEPTHS AND LET ME DEAL WITH KHALAMARI IN PEACE YOU GLORFIED ANNOYANCES!” With that yell I launched the whirlpool down with every Wild boarfish and Seasaur trapped in it. Unfortunately for me Khalamari took this opportunity to grab me with his arm like tentacles. Remembering what Goku did to Frieza I bit down on the tentacle has hard as I could. Khalamari writhed in pain but never let out a sound. Once he let me go I swam towards the surface as quickly as I could. “Come on Khalamari! Catch me if you can, or are you just going to embarrass every squid and octopi ever?”

Glancing over my shoulder I saw Khalamari racing after me with is my ablaze in a bright red glow. When I broke the surface I scanned the beaches and skies looking for Twilight’s signal. (Come on Twilight! Where are….THERE!) Rushing towards the correct beach Khalamari exploded out of the water and gave chase. My thoughts were flying a mile a minute as I began to regret not figuring out an entire plan with Twilight. (Part ones done but what do I do for part 2? Esuna might be able to free him from whatever that red light is but considering he’s almost as fast as me we might need to hold him down! The show said that Twilight can hold up an Ursa Minor but she had calm it down first and with Khalamari like this there’s no way that’ll work. So which Champion will be the best choice? Blitzcrank? That just screams bad idea considering he’s a robot and not waterproof. Ivren? Possible but I don’t know how effective he is on a beach… I don’t want to use Malphite or Nautilus considering their size and I don’t want to scare anyone or accidently kill Khalamari.)

Khalamari broke my train of thoughts as he used one of his arms to uppercut me out of the water and flung me onto the beach where I changed back to normal and landed on my back. “Okay, he’s here now what?!” Twilight yelled as she teleported out of the way as Khalamari brought down both of this arms in an attempt to squash her.

"I’m working on it and I’m really starting to regret not finishing this plan!” I replied scrambling to my feet and cast Libra. [Khalamari. HP. ??/?? MP. ??/?? No Weaknesses. Resistant to Poison, Gravity, Slow, Sleep, Silence, Stop, Paralysis, Confusion, Charm.]

“Can’t you just slow him down or freeze him in time?!” Twilight yelled.

“No good he’s resistant to those kinds of spells!” I replied. “Can’t even hold him down with Gravity! But I did see his eyes glowing red so I can say with one hundred percent certainty that he’s not in control of his actions!” While this was going on Khalamari was darting around in the water to attack me and Twilight from different angles while dodging most of the spell we shot at him. This went on for five more minutes, once in a while I cast a healing spell on Twilight or myself if we got hit while I franticly went through the list of Champions (Morgana… possible but I don’t know how Twilight will react to her dark magic., Fizz’s shark friend might be able to distract Khalamari but considering Khalamari’s size I doubt it would keep him in place. Gnar might be able to pull him onto the beach but…. OF COURSE! I’m an idiot! Why didn’t I think of her sooner?)

“Twilight I’ve got an idea!”

“ABOUT BUCKING TIME!” Twilight yelled as Khalamari crashed his arms down right in front of me and the force sent me flying.

“CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION! LUX!” Twisting to land on my feet I took a moment to breath. Now I was a few inches shorter, had long blond hair and was wearing what could only be described as a battle mage’s armor. In my left hand is an oak staff with golden pummels on both ends, and small delicate looking runes glowed softly along the gold.

“Took me a while to think of something to stop Khalamari but now it’s time to end this. Wouldn’t you agree Twilight?” I asked as I brought up the staff and placed my right hand on it. “SOLID LIGHT RESTRICTION!” Ten balls of light appeared around me and shot tendrils of light. Khalamari managed to dodge most of them but three grabbed him and while they slowed him they didn’t do much else until the others seven swerved back and grabbed his other tentacles which halted his movement. “I don’t know how long I can hold him Twilight so I hope you have an idea on how to free him!”

“I could try a calming spell or maybe a…” Twilight said as Khalamari his eyes now burning with that red glow pulled at his restraints with more strength then he used when he was attacking as sweat poured down my face from the strain of keeping him in place.

“I DON’T CARE JUST DO SOMETHING! SOMEHOW HE’S GOTTING STRONGER!” I yelled. Twilight nodded even though she knew that I was ignoring everything while I focused on keeping my spell going. Her horn lit up as she began her spell. Twilight’s spell hit Khalamari right between his eyes at the exact moment mine failed and I fell to my hands and knees panting.

Twilight watched Khalamari but he had completely stopped moving, it was almost as if she had hit him with a Stop spell and when she was sure Khalamari wasn’t going anywhere she rushed to my side. “Are you alright Thrin?”

“Ya...I’ll…be…fine...just…need…world…to…stop…spinning…from…headache…what…is…Khalamari…doing?” I panted.

Twilight glanced at Khalamari. “He’s not moving but I don’t understand why. The spell was just designed to calm him down.”

Twilight helped me to my feet and when he looked at Khalamari the glow around his eyes had become a small red cloud which dissipated. When it did Khalamari shook himself and looked around. “Wha? Why am I on the surface?”

I pulled out the basic Heal staff from Fire Emblem and used it as a walking stick as I approached Khalamari. “Hello Khalamari, I’m glad you’re back to your old self. I’m Thrin and this is my friend Twilight. Can you tell us the last thing you remember?”

Khalamari tuned to us. “It’s foggy but I faintly remember a jester walking across the water.”

Hearing that I grimaced and chuckled dryly. “So it was Dhoulmagus controlling you. I hoped I was wrong but it seems we have to evil spell casters running around Equestria.”

“It looks that way.” Twilight agreed before we looked back at Khalamari who was moving towards the ocean.

“Well thank you for saving me and I’m sorry if I’ve caused any of you surface dwellers to much trouble.”

“If’s it’s not too much trouble could you help protect any ships in the area from any underwater creature that might attack them?” I called just before Khalamari sank under the waves.

Khalamari stopped for a second then nodded to himself. “Sure it’s the least I could do.”

“Thank you!” Twilight called as Khalamari fully submerged under the waves and vanished as I changed back.

MEANWHILE IN AN UNKNOWN CAVE

Dhoulmagus opened his eyes as he muttered to himself about what just happened while the Godbird Scepter ley across his lap. “He managed to pass my test or rather part of it. How interesting I’ll have to keep any eye on him and that Warlock.”

BACK WITH THRIN

When Twilight and I made it back to the docks where we found the rest of our friends we found them talking to Willie. “I keep telling you that the last time I saw Twilight and Thrin was over an hour and a half ago, and no matter how my times you pester me that’s not going to change!”

“We’re right here so stop pestering the man.” I said and I moments the others were crowding around us asking what happened and if was ok, but it was Willie who was the bluntest about it.

“You look like shit son.”

“I’m just tired as for Khalamari. I was correct about him being under Dhoulmagan’s control, and he agreed to help protect ships from underwater dangers.” I said. “I ran into two more species from Dragon Quest. Twilight can you get out the bestiary and turn to the aquatic section?” Nodding Twilight brought out the book and quickly found the right section. I leaned over and fliped through the pages untill I found the Wild boarfish. “That’s one of the beasts that appeared when I found Khalamari but there was one more…ah here it is the Seasaur.”

Willie paled a little when he saw the Seasaur. “At least that kraken agreed to protect the ships, but I don’t know how much the other fishermen are going to like this. Do you have any copies of that book you could give me?”

“I’ve been working on making copies but considering how many monsters are in this book it’s been taking much longer then I hoped.” Twilight said. “But once I finish the copy I’m planning to send it to the Princesses to have it distributed all over Equestria.”

Rainbow and I chuckled. “But you wanted to keep the original for yourself, because it’s the ‘original’ am I right?” I teased making Twilight look away blushing causing Rainbow to burst out in laughter. “Just make sure I get a copy alright?”

Five minutes after they got back onto the carriage to Ponyville, Twilight asked what other kinds of magic I knew. Shaking my head I said. “Somehow I’m not surprised you’re asking that this early in the flight.”

“Well considering I waited until we were only a few minutes away from Manehattan last time this time we have more than enough time.” Twilight explained.

“True.” I agreed before a mischievous grin appeared on my face. “But I’m still going to stick to one universe.”

“WHAT?!” Twilight exclaimed.

“Sorry Twilight but I do want to translate all my Tomes as soon as possible.” I said. “This time I think I’ll talk about the magic that’s used in the same world Khalamari comes from which I call the Dragon Quest Universe.”

“Here we go.” Rainbow said rolling her eyes. “Apart from the Summons I found the last lesson rather boring.”

“Well this one will be shorter so you don’t have to worry Dash.” I said.

While I was talking no one noticed Pinkie looking at what seemed to be empty space “Sorry everyone but I’m hitting the fast forward button because the author doesn’t want to write more boring exposition so were going to skip talking about this so we can get back to the good stuff but if any of you want to check out what Thrin’s talking about then use this link. Oh and don’t expect me to talk to all of you like this very often. I’ll just do it when I need to.” *Make text pink so people can see immediately that Pinkie’s talking past the fourth wall*

“I’d prefer it if you didn’t do it at all Pinkie!” *Make this text…white with the spoiler bar to show it’s the Author.

“Hey I’m just fallowing the script YOU gave me for this scene now if you don’t mind we’re back at Ponyville so…” Pinkie then returned her attention to her friends who hadn’t even noticed she was talking to thin air. “Hearths Warming is coming up soon and the girls and I were asked to help with a play about the holiday in Canterlot, are you going to come watch Thrin?”

“It would be interesting to see some stories about the holidays. Sure I’ll come. When’s the play?”

“December 24. Hearths Warming Eve.” Twilight said.

“Ah, so Hearths Warming is Equestira’s version of Christmas, and no Twilight I’m not going into Earth Holidays right now.” I said with a look that told Twilight that nothing is going to change my mind. “I said it before. Now that we know that Dhoulmagus is out there and most likely planning something we’ve got two powerful and evil sorcerers to deal with and I’m going to need to master my powers.”

“You’re sounding like Twilight does before a test.” Rainbow smirked.

“HEY!” Twilight said glaring at Rainbow.

“Considering I needed help fighting Bolarc’s minnions and we barely managed to beat Khalamari I think it’s safe to say we all need to grow stronger. That means that the six of you need proper training.” I said.

“But fighting’s what the guards are for.” Rarity said. “Not delicate ladies like us.” Rainbow, Applejack, Twilight and I gave Rarity a blank look.

“Rarity you fought Nightmare Moon. You fought Discord. All of you have gotten into fights that would determine the state of the world as a whole and none of you have much experience in self-defense…even though he just got carried away with his job but the point still stands. ” Thrin deadpanned.

“Thrin I’m a black belt in karate, and Applejack can handle Timber Wolves without even trying. Doesn’t that count?” Rainbow asked.

“Thanks for reminding me about the Timber Wolves. I’ve been wanting to examine one ever since I made the paths but that’s a topic for another day. Timber Wolves are wild animals while some of the foe’s I’ve fought had some kind of training and know how to properly fight, and who did you learn Karate from?” I asked.

“My uncle Storm Wing who’s also a black belt.” Rainbow said.

“Does he teach at a dojo and have you taken any official tests to see if you deserve to become a black belt? For that matter did he take those tests?”

“Ummm he’s not a teacher and I don’t’ know if he’s taken any of those tests, heck I didn’t even know those tests were a thing.” Rainbow said.

“Then I’m afraid you’re not a real black belt Rainbow. It takes years of training and dedication to become a black belt and even then there are higher levels they can achieve by even more training. If you go agent any of the humanoid monsters from the Dragon’s Crown universe or if Grogar comes back with more skeletons then you won’t stand a chance.” I stated as Rainbows ears drooped. “Heck the main reason I took down Gorgar’s skeletons so easily was because one of my healing spells was created to be able to hurt undead and heal the living.”

“That sounds really useful.” Fluttershy said.

“Which is why I’m planning send copy of the spell nexus and send it to Celly and Lulu so they can teach it to the Royal Guard and a copy for the medical community. While it can’t heal everything it can help stabilize a pony during surgery. I’ve just been a bit swamped with my studies but now that we have a little time to relax I can drop by the post office.” I said.

“Well we can have Spike send to the Princesses.” Twilight offered.

“Thanks and once that’s done I’m going to get back to training, but once spring comes around I might be able to teach you Master Yi’s Wuju style.” I said. (First thing I’m doing when I get home is to add ‘figure out how to get the Final Fantasy Class System to work in Equestria’ to my ‘Needs to be done’ list. So that’s four big projects I’m going to need to figure out. At least I’ve made some head way with the Warp Gate but I’m most likely going to need find the right Displaced to talk to, to help me understand the Class System a little more. Ah well no one said that understanding the Arcane would be easy.)

“Do we know who that is?” Rainbow asked exited.

“I used his form when I saved Rumble but Wuju style is not limited to the sword and best of all. Apart from Master Yi only one other person uses it, and yes they are also a Champion. Wuju style is a dying art and who knows it might help you think before you act.” I said.

“I’m not that bad!” Rainbow argued.

“You did kick a dragon in the face Rainbow.” Twilight said.

“Yes she did.” I said much to everyone’s confusion at how I knew this. “Discord and I knew about Twilight when her magic made Spike hatch. We’ve been watching her from time to time to make sure nothing happened to her, and it’s thanks to when you used the Elements that I was able to finally memorized your magic signature so to teleport to you with Shen’s ability. Since then I’ve done the same for the rest of you, and the Princesses. Shen’s teleportation ability is one of my best ways to get to my friends quickly.”

“That’s amazing Thrin!” Pinkie exclaimed and with a quick glance we saw that Twilight was once again taking notes. “I didn’t know anyone could memorize that kind of thing!”

“I didn’t either but I’m not sure how comfortable I am knowing you and Discord were watching me for that long but then again if you weren’t then you wouldn’t have been able to save me from that orc.” Twilight said.

“At first I just memorized the feeling of her magic but now I’ve got a more permanent lock on her because Shen’s teleportation’s main purpose is getting to ‘allies’ quickly, and the six of you, Discord and the Princesses fall under that category thanks to you being my friends.” I said activated my ‘Ghost’ spell to avoid getting trapped under a Pony Pile but Pinkie grabbed hold nanoseconds before I activated the spell. When she saw the others covered by snow she giggled. “Guess I couldn’t avoid all the hugs, but seriously no Pony Piles for me. I can only take so many bone crushing hugs before something breaks.”

*A few days later, just after arriving Canterlot*

As the girls, Spike and I got out of the carriage we saw that Celestia, Luna, Blueblood, Spell Weaver and two other ponies were waiting for us. The first is a grey coated unicorn mare with white and purple main and tail, and her cutie mark is three purple stars. Next to her is a dark blue coated unicorn stallion with darker blue main and tail, his cutie marks is two crescent moons. Twilight ran forwards and nuzzled the two. “Mom, Dad, Aunt Weaver it’s good to see you.”

“It’s good to see you to Twilight. Now who’s your new friend?” Twilight’s mom asked

“That’s Thrin.” Weaver said. “He’s the one who not only figured out that project I told you about at a glance but he also got it shut down and considering what it really was I’m glad.”

“So this is the Half-Elf we’ve heard so much about. I’m Night Light and this is my wife Twilight Velvet.”

“It’s very nice to meet you.” I replied.

“We also hear you saved our daughter from a Necromancer.” Velvet said. “Thank you. I don’t know what we’d do without our littler star.”

“Moooom you’re embarrassing me!” Twilight whined as Rainbow chuckled.

“Just wait till we meet your folks Rainbow then we’ll see how you like it when the shoe’s on the other hoof.” Twilight barked which made Rainbow’s laughter stop immediately only to be replaced by an embarrassed blush.

“So how about we head to where the theater is going to be and I can tell your parents a little bit about myself.” I said. Since we arrived in Canterlot early we took our time on the way to the theater I told Twilight’s parents about where I lived, what I’ve been up to and how Twilight and I just help Khalamari. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed that many of the Nobles were sending us the stink eye with it mostly aimed at Applejack and myself. Looking at Celestia I lowered my voice and said. “Don’t these so called ‘Nobles’ realize that you’re walking with national heroes and someone taking the Arch Mage test?”

“Not many Ponies know that you’re taking the test and unfortunately despite Luna and my best attempts most of the Nobles don’t believe that my student and her friends saved Equestria. We have a few other ideas but with Dhoulmagus, and Bolarc’s we’ve had to focus on the bigger picture.” Celestia whispered back before saying in a slighter louder than normal voice. “So Thrin how has your work on the Warp Gate been going?”

“It’s been smooth progress so far. I’m mostly working on basic blueprints for the frame and working on the spell nexus. Now when I’m ready to make the prototypes it’s going to be an entirely different story.” I replied and used looking at the scenery as an excuse to see how the Nobles were dealing with the fact that I’m working on a project for the Princesses and to my satisfaction all of them looked surprised but a couple looked enraged.

When we arrived at the castle’s theater Twilight and the others headed back stage Luna lead Twilight’s parents and me up to a privet booth. It didn’t take long for the play to start and while it was interesting the main thing that I was curious about were the Windigo’s and made a mental note to learn more about them once everything had calmed down, and as everyone were taking their bows the room went dark and a sinister chuckle filled the air. “Guess whose back?” When the lights came back everyone there was a tower of presents on the stage with tags signaling who they were fore. “And I brought Christmas gifts for EVERYONE!”

“Ranma! So Celestia and Luna finally let you out again, so you can do your job huh?” I called from my place next to Celestia.

“Oh contraire my friend, I planned ahead so not only would I have a way to get free from imprisonment but I could surprise everyone for Christmas! Now to everyone present I apologies for my last appearance but I have to do my part to keep the world balanced and that was the fastest way.” Discord said with a small bow as murmurs spread throughout the crowd as no one was sure what to do.

“Why did you call him Ranma, Thrin?” Celestia asked as she rubbed her temples.

“He wanted that to be his nickname after I told him about a manga called Ranma ½ and how much chaos the main character draws to him without even trying.” I explained.

“Yes after hearing about all the Chaos he attracts I felt like taking a nickname.” Discord said as he appeared next to us. “Now then I have a few more presents to pass around but these can wait for a bit. Now then how about we head somewhere more privet and have a little talk.”

“As if this pitiful performance wasn’t bad enough just look! The Monsters are in league! Who knows what their planning! I say we banish both of them!” Looking down into the crowd I saw that the same Noble who harassed me when I first came to Equestria. “Why do the Princesses even put up with them or the ‘Commoners’?” His voice screamed hatred with that last word just from a quick glance I could see that Celestia and Luna were pissed and Night Light doing his best to prevent Twilight Velvet from jumping off the balcony and killing the stallion. “The two Monsters should be banished to Tartarus and the Commoners should be thrown from Canterlot like the rubbish they are!”

Just then I felt three minds touch mine. [Oh pleeease tell me I can punish that fool!] Discord said. [No one insults my friend and gets away with it!]

[That would only prove them right.] Celestia replied. [Luna do you have any suggestions?]

[Launch him off Canterlot Mountain with a trebuchet?] Luna suggested.

[Well he did just insult national heroes and one of them is your personal student. So I suggest using this as a chance to investigate him. You can also start with him losing the majority of his wealth and nobility status him getting of easy. If the investigation finds anything illegal then he faces even harsher consequences.] I said not taking my eyes off him.

[I like it! Heck considering what I'd personality do to him, breaking the law is almost a grantee! He’s just radiating the wrong kind of Chaos!] Discord said.

[Do it Sister!] Luna agreed. [Show him that he's not above the law!]

This whole conversation took about thirty seconds and when we finished Celestia nodded as if she’d finish debating with herself. “Polished Bronze. You have just insulted not only my personal student Twilight Sparkle but she and her friends are also the Bearers of the Elements of Harmony. You have also insulted the man who has so far passed four of the Arch Mage tests. As punishment you and your business will be investigated. You will also lose your status as a Noble and half of your wealth will be taken and donated to various orphanages. Until this investigation is complete you are not allowed outside of Canterlot, and if we discover that anyone has tampered with ANY form of evidence then you will immediately be brought before me and my Sister. Do you understand?”

Polished Bronze looked horrified at this turn of events as he looked back and forth between the Bearers, Celestia and myself as the rest of the nobles murmured to each other about there being someone taking the Arch Mage tests. Looking at Celestia I said in a calm voice “I wasn’t aware I had past more than one Princess. What did I do to pass the other three tests?”

“Well as you know the first was assisting Professor White Gem with the puzzle that had been eluding him and his colleagues for fifty years. Second was discovering the Warlock and putting wrench in his plans. Third was stopping Grogar.” At this name more murmurs shot through the crowd. “And his undead from foalnapping or hurting the Bearers and finally is finding a peaceful solution to the Kraken attacks in Manehatton. After all not all problems need violence as its solution.” Celestia explained.

“To be fair Twilight and I did need to fight back until we could free his mind from the one controlling him.” I replied.

“A fair point but once he was free the fighting stopped and you used diplomacy to end the problems.” Luna said. “And I must say you have impressed us with how you’re handling all the problems that have appeared. You are showing yourself to be a very promising candidate.”

“My thanks Princess.” I said with a little bow.

Chapter 9: First Summons and Spending time with an old Friend or The First of Many Pranks

View Online

After the play and Polished Bronzed punishment Celestia and Luna took the nine of us to a sitting room where we enjoyed each other’s company and some hot chocolate. Just as Night Light asked about how I arrived in Equestria I heard someone shouting in my head. [THRIN! GET OVER HERE!]

“Be back in a few everyone. It appears I’m being Summoned by another Displaced.” I said placing my cup down on a table before disappearing in a flash of ultramarine light. When I reappeared it was in a blue column of light. Noticing my hood was over my face I reached up to fix that. In front of me was a red haired Dwarf, a tall man in black armor and a large Timberwolf made from pine wood and glowing yellow eyes. “So that’s what being Summoned feels like, interesting. Greetings Master Dwarf. I am Thrin how may I be of assistance?”

“Wait, time-out.” The Dwarf gestured at my outfit. “That robe… you’re a Summoner?”

“Correct. I’m a League of Legends Displaced but instead of summoning the Champions I have the ability to transform into the Champions. While in their forms I have access to all their abilities, on top of the Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest and Fire Emblem magic I’ve been learning.” I replied.

“So… that includes gender… I have a question about the female champions you turn into.”

“Yes?”

“This isn’t about comfort or freaking out, it’s just from one guy to another have you ever… experimented with that? Like in private? Because I have met several who have been curious and…”

Understanding what he was trying to say I nodded my head. “I see where you’re going but the answer is no. It’s not that I’m not curious it’s just that I don’t have the time. Back home I have two Displaced running around, one I know is evil and the other...well I’m not sure about him but so far all the evidence points to me having to fight two evil Displaced and monsters from their Universes.”

“Shiiiiit… say you know I could help you out, I’m a master in any craft, I could make you some armor, weapons… a kick-ass mech… in payment for helping me out, I’ve gotten a lot of practice making items for the merchant which he sells to people to displace and-I should really be keeping my mouth shut especially since I think I recognize that robe…”

“Ah you must be talking about THE Merchant. I wasn't Displaced by him if your concerned about that… at least I don’t think I was, in any case I have no problems with him, and thank you for the offer I’ll keep it in mind. Now why did you call me and who are your friends?”

“Alright well first off I’ll need to ask two questions… first off, are you aware of a website known as Fimfiction.com?”

“Yes. In fact I know that this conversation is most likely being written down by Authors as we speak. In fact I’ve met two other versions of ‘me’ who were Displaced as other characters.”

“The multiverse is weird, fanfiction is the future, got it, Just don’t get too meta… now the next question is just as important… are you aware of ‘Fall of Equestria’?”

I narrowed my eyes in anger and scowled. “Yes and if you’re dealing with that kind of problem I know just the thing.” Reaching for the small box Thrin pulled out a scroll and quickly looked it over. “If you know anyone who can copy this I’m willing to give the instructions on how to build a Nexus and Turrets from the League. You’ll also get the Minions due to the spell creating them being part of the Nexus, but before I do I want you to promise me that you’ll do everything in your power to protect this knowledge from those who would misuse it. It is a way for infinite troops after all.”

The Dwarf grabbed the scroll and summoned a square stone column, after placing the scroll writing down onto the side and smash it in with a hammer before passing the scroll back and smashing the column leaving a scroll made of iron. “I put some extra magic in it to make it Dwarven scripture, and besides me and my wife, there are no other Dwarves here.”

Just then the armored man spoke up. “Excuse me, my lord, but I wish to say something to our guest.”

Turning my head to look at him I said. “Yes?”

The man walk up and took of his helmet revealing himself as a Caribou. “I may not be able to apologize for what my people have done, but I at least want you to know there is at least one of us here that can learn the right way… and if not this armor is very durable so feel free to vent your anger out.”

My expression softened and I stepped forwards to lay a hand on his shoulder. “I do not hold it against your race. I hold it against those who act. To you who have learned I have no reason to be angry. While I know not everyone will agree with me I choose to see you as who you are and not WHAT you are.”

“Well that’s good to hear, I honor you, Thrin.”

“And I thank you, as the king of the new Dwarven Alliance… hm… this feels like it was resolved too quickly… yo half-elf, you wanna meet my other half?”

“Other half?” said Starlight who I just noticed was there.

“Other half?” The Caribou parroted

“I would be honored to meet your other half, and as for this being ‘resolved too quickly’. I’ve always believed never to blame everyone of a certain race when only a few are disgraceful. After all Riven is from Noxus and I like her while most of the other Champions from that place can go die in a fire for all I care.”

“Eh, I’m a Kha’Zix kinda guy, well if you’re okay with it.”

Raising his hammer he smashed it down causing the pillar to move. Nothing happened for a moment then he was engulfed in black flames. When he stepped out of the flames I saw a tall figure whose outfit was covered by a large red coat. While his eyes were hidden by orange sunglasses. “Hello!” He said in intentionally cheery voice. “Well I must say you are very honored, two kings for the price of one, you must be at walmart or something.”

Upon seeing who walked out I blinked for a moment resisting the urge to run going ‘Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. SO MUCH NOPE!’. “Alucard. I thought he meant his wife or something. I don’t know whether to get the heck out of here or shake your hand right now.”

“Oh come on, don’t be such a bitch, it’s not like I’ll bite!” He said with a small chuckle. “Get it?”

I couldn’t stop myself and smirked. “I get it. Now how you and...wait I don’t think the Dwarf ever told me his name. Ah well shit happens.”

“Oh you mean the boss? His name is Orgran, he’s basically the one in charge since we share the same soul because I didn’t exist before. You see, and this is kind of interesting, him and his friend Interse, who was an undead warlock, were fighting this giant nether demon that turned the rest of their group into smears, the skelebastard sacrificed himself to save Orgran and in his last breath placed an artifact known as the black-heart into Orgran’s chest. I came to be the first time he died… which was to a bug making him extra crispy… seriously!” His demeanor changed in a snap. “I get created after the most embarrassing death! And I’m not allowed to kill the bitch who did it! Noooo! Orgran wants to make a point so that she’ll reform just like he did with Discord! Do you know how annoying it is to actually hold back on killing something?!”

I shook my head. “Not yet. So far the only things I’ve had to kill were monsters from the Dragon Quest and Dragon’s Crown universes. I did save a kraken named Khalamari from Dhoulmagus’s control a while back, but I did get a chance to curb stomp Draven when he tried to princessnap Luna on Halloween. That was fun! That reminds me!” Reaching for my cube I pulled out the Raven Staff I bought from Shopkeep. “With everything that’s been going on I completely forgot I bought this!” Raising the staff into the air a raven flew out of the Everfree and flew to my shoulder as I put the staff away. “And now I have a raven familiar. I’ll need to think up a name for you.”

In a burst of black flames Alucard transformed back into Orgran. “Huh? Oh cool you got a familiar too, well Pine here is my familiar and mount… have you ever seen a Dire Timberwolf?”

“No I haven’t but I have seen an Alpha once as it wandered past my home. I do have a few ideas on how they came to be in my Universe but I’ve had to put those on the back burner.”

“Any timberwolf, even an Alpha, is not the same as a Dire, I can easily vouch for that.” Pine said much to my surprise.

I quickly shook it off and said. “Well it’s very nice to meet you Pine.”

“Charmed…” He replied now I’m not sure in a bad mood or if he just doesn’t like me for comparing him to a normal Alpha.

“Well, I think this about wraps this up, here.” Orgran said as he passed me an emerald that had been carved into a pickaxe and a bag. When I looked inside I saw about thirty crystals that emanated dark magic.

“What’s with the dark magic crystals?”

“Well I thought you’d like something using dark magic so you can find a workaround to some of the more corruptive champions, the actual purpose of the magic in the crystals is merely decoration, something you could gift to other ponies, like a night light or a dream-catcher, it’s magic, just magic that’s harmless.”

“Thank you Orgran. This will definitely come in handy.” I said as he put the bag in the cube and offered a hand which he promptly shook.

“No problem, and I did put a lot in there… mostly so you’ll share them out and I get advertisement, like ‘oh? Where’d you get that’ ‘got them from this Dwarf named Orgran’ whatever, I should let you be on your way now. Thrin, our contract is complete.”

As the light reappeared I said. “Don’t be surprised if a Wolf-Crow Tengu named Arashi turns up. He’s another version of me who likes to explore the Multiverse.”

“No problem! Don’t be a stranger!” And with that the light vanished leaving no trace it had ever appeared.

Reappearing on the couch I was glad to see that not much time had past as everyone was still sitting where I left them but I did see that my cup had been replaced with a fresh one. “Ah you’re back Thrin. How’d it go and who’s your new friend?” Celestia asked.

“It went very well. I met a Dwarf named Orgran, some of his friends and this is my new familiar. I’ve yet to come up with a name for them. Fluttershy can you tell me whether they’re male or female and if they’re in perfect health?”

“All right.” Fluttershy said as the raven flew over to her.

“Did you get any souvenirs?” Rainbow asked.

“Just a copy of his token and a bag full of magic crystals. According to Orgran the magic is mealy decoration and could be used like a night light or dream-catcher. I’ll figure out who to give them to later.” I said shrugging not telling them that the crystals have dark magic or the mirth in Orgran’s eyes that made me think he was trying to prank me. (Guess this means I need to think of a revenge prank, but trying to get around his friends could prove tricky. Guess that’ll just make it more satisfying.)

“Ah come on Thrin! You know you’ll going to give them to us eventually!” Rainbow exclaimed. “Just hand them over!”

“Then I guess you DON’T want me to teach you Wuju style this spring.” I said hoping this would distract Rainbow.

Rainow’s eyes went wide in shock. “I do, I really do!”

“Then do you promise not to bother me about the crystals?”

“Yes I promise! Cross my heart, hope to fly. Stick a cupcake in my eye!” Rainbow said quickly much to everyone’s amusement.

I started snickering much to Rainbow’s confusion before realization dawned on her face. “Why are you… Wait a moment!”

“Yup! I was bluffing!” I chuckled as Celestia and Luna glanced at each other.

“Buck you Thrin!” Rainbow exclaimed before the whole group burst out laughing.

Once the laughter died down Luna said. “I hope you planning in teaching more Ponies this ‘Wuju’ style Thrin.”

“Not at the moment. It’ll be hard enough trying to teach Rainbow because the two Champions who use it are bipeds, but I’ll figure something out.”

“Can you show us the Champions?” Velvet asked.

“Ya I want to see which Champions I’ll be training under!” Rainbow said.

“Before you do that Thrin I want to let you know that your raven friend is male in is in perfect health.” Fluttershy said with the raven perched on her head.

“Thanks Fluttershy. That’s going to make it a lot easier to think up a name for him.” I got up and stood in the middle of the room. “CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION! MASTER YI!” As I stood in the form of Master Yi I had the point of my sword nested in the carpet. “I know you’ve seen this form before but this is Master Yi. The only survivor of his order and mentor to the other Champion who follows the path of Wuju.”

“What happened to the rest of his order?” Night Light asked.

“Well I could tell you.” I said with a smirk as I brought a large blue book with ‘Champions of the League of Legends’ written in large golden letters. “OR I could show you one of the smaller projects I’ve been working on.”

Everyone’s eyes lit up as Weaver levitated the book over to her. “I started that book after my first visit to Canterlot. With a little help from Arashi I managed to get a picture of every Champion and I wrote down a quick summery for each ones history. I thought about adding a small passage saying my opinions on each Champion but in the end I decided not to. Hope you like my Christmas gift.” Discord snapped his fingers and suddenly everyone had a copy of the book.

“Thrin this…This is amazing! I can’t believe you did this so quickly!” Twilight said.

“I can’t take all the credit. Arashi also wrote some of this but he wanted me to take all the credit.” I said shrugging before a small smirk appeared. “Glad to know one of my secret projects is so well received.”

“At least we’ll know more if any of the more…nefarious Champions turn up.” Celestia said.

“Well now that you all have a copy of my Christmas gift I think it’s time to show you the other Champion who uses Wuju and personally he’s one of my favorites. CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION! WUKONG!” Looking around I smirked when I saw everyone’s shocked expression when they saw that Wukong is a large monkey wearing red and gold armor as I leaned against a large bow staff which felt as sturdy as a stone pillar.

“The only other person who knows Wuju…is a monkey?” Rainbow said.

“You got something against the Monkey King?” I asked and with a quick motion extended my staff and stole Rainbow’s mug of hot chocolate but instead of brining it closer I placed it on her head. “Never underestimate a user of Wuju.”

Rainbow didn’t move but Weaver quickly used her magic to move the cup and put it on the table. The rest of the visit was rather pleasant but eventually I said my good byes before Discord snapped his fingers and the two of us reappeared in my study. “Thrin what kind of magic is in those crystals?”

“Orgran told me it was a kind of dark magic that can be used as a nightlight or dream-catcher but considering the mirth in his eyes I’m positive he was trying to prank me, and now that your free we can put our heads together we can make a training room where so I don’t have to worry about using new forms and the Champions personality trying to manipulate me.” I said with a hint of regret at the end.

Discord placed his talon on my shoulder. “It wasn’t your fault Thrin. Neither of us knew that Mordekaiser would take over like that.”

“But I should have thought about that before I turned into him! The moment I appeared in Equestria I knew that I could turn into the Champions but the thought of them taking over or manipulating me never even flickered across my mind! Yes, it took a hundred and fifty years before it happened but that doesn’t change the fact I nearly killed you!” I said as tears slowly flowed from my eyes as I placed the bag of crystals on my desk. “You’re my best friend Discord. You’re the one who helped me learn how to shut out most of the Champions but they’re still there. Why do you think I created the different categories in the first place?”

“I know Thrin, I know.” Discord said as he gave me a comforting hug. “Now then let’s find out what the crystals really do!”

Taking a steadying breath I nodded. “Thanks for that Ranma. That’s been nagging at me for years. Now then if we’re going to find out what these really do then I’m going to need you to put up a barrier around the tower just in case.” Discord nodded snapped his fingers. “CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION! MORGANA!”

“Haven’t seen her quite a while.” Discord said as he looked at a tall buxom woman with tattered black wings, long purple hair, a lightning bolt scar over her left eye, a purple armor bikini top, purple arm bracers, and the leggings of a purple dress.

“True. It has been a while since I became Morgana. Now let’s figure out exactly what these do.”

*Three hours later.*

“Why that sneaky little Dwarf!” I said with a laugh holding a crystal up as it glowed softly in the setting sun’s light.

“What he do?” Discord asked as he looked up from his book.

“I should have known what he was trying to do after he mentioned the ‘Fall of Equestria’. These crystals turn ponies and probably any other race on Equestria anthropomorphic. In other words humanoid.” I explained before an idea struck me and I grinned and focused my magic on the crystal.

“I know that grin. What are you planning?” Discord asked with a large grin.

“One moment… Let me just…. Eureka!” I exclaimed and held up my hand in triumph. “Thanks to Morgana’s power I’m able to ‘program’ these crystals so they give a specific form. I’m going to take Orgrans’s prank and take it in an entirely new direction! Think fast!” Throwing the crystal at Discord he caught just as a look of relation crossed his face and with a small *pop* Discord changed into a horned human just an inch or two shorter then me with spiky white hair, mismatched eyes with the left being blood red and the other a shining gold, wearing a heavy brown coat with white fur trim, black fingerless gloves, blue jeans and white loafers.

Discord looked over his new form. “Not bad. Not bad at all! But you should be lucky for my Chaos magic otherwise I would have been in my birthday suite.” Snapping his fingers he transformed back into a Draconequus before shifting back into a human. “And I can still look like my old self! So about this prank you’re thinking of?”

“Well first thing we’ll need to do is…”

*Three days later. Just after sunrise, Celestia’s room. 3rd person*

As Celestia walked back into her room she noticed a package on her desk with and a note. Upon opening the note she read. “Dear Celestia. Here’s one of the crystals Orgran gave me and a new outfit. Hope you enjoy. Thirn”

Chuckling Celestia said. “Now why did he send me a new outfit?” Opening the package and saw a white and blue dress, with a red ribbon, a blue bow and a golden tiara that looked like the one she used now but much smaller, and a small purple crystal that shaped like the twenty sided die that she had seen some of her guards using when the played a game during their off time. Smiling to herself she put on the necklace and with a *pop* she felt herself change. Dashing back into her bathroom she looked in the full body mirror saw a small humanoid girl with hooves for feet that she guessed was about nine to ten years old like the Champion Annie. She was glad to see she still had her horn and wings and her hair still flowed in an ethereal breeze.

Celestia stared at her reflection for a few minutes as she tried to understand what had happened before it dawned on her. “TTTHHHHHRRRRRIIIIIIINNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Meanwhile Discord and Thrin were had gotten up early to work on the Warp Gate’s blueprints but when they heard Celestia’s yell the both fell to the ground holding their sides in laughter.

Chapter 10: Aftermath of the Prank

View Online

It’s been two hours since Celestia fell for my prank as I sat on a couch with Discord *who was in his Draconequus form* next to me in one of my meeting rooms looking at a rather adorable and very pissed Celestia who was wearing the dress Discord and I had made and sitting on Fluttershy’s back. Princess Luna, along with Twilight and the rest of the Bearers were also present. Twilight and Applejack didn’t look happy while Rarity tried to look displeased but kept glancing at Celestia’s dress curiosity evident in her eyes. Rainbow and Pinkie on the other hand were trying to hold back laughter, Fluttershy actually looked content with Celestia sitting on her back and Luna looked conflicted. “I can’t believe you did that Thrin! Did you even know what the crystals would do?!” Celestia asked.

“Of course I did.” I said rolling my eyes. “Do you really think I’m that irresponsible to just use a magic item without knowing what it did?”

“I still can’t believe Orgran’s crystals made her this way.” Twilight said. “What kind of magic were they imbued with?”

“Dark magic.” Discord said but before anyone could speak up he continued. “That we made one hundred present sure wouldn’t cause any harm in any way, shape, or form.”

“It’s still dark magic!” Twilight yelled. “Why did Orgran even have those in the first place?!”

“Because he’s fighting a kingdom that used this kind of magic to make them humanoid because they think it’s the perfect form, and you don’t even WANT to know what else they do or why.” I said.

“Try me.” Celestia said.

I looked at Discord and nodded before telling them everything I knew about the ‘Fall of Equestria’ verse and as I spoke everyone but Discord shuttered in fear and disgust at what they were hearing, Discord however just looked pissed and muttered something about ‘the wrong kind of chaos’. “That’s the kind of foe he’s going to have to face and apparently he got a hold of one of their crystals and decided to uses them to prank people.”

Pinkie’s was strait now a dark pink. “I don’t understand why anyone would do that.”

“Neither do I Pinkie and I don’t WANT to understand.” I said as Applejack patted Pinkie’s back.

“If the crystals are supposed to make adult ponies into… attractive humanoids then why did yours Celestia turn out so small?” Luna asked.

“Oh that’s because while I studied them I was in the form of the Champion Morgana and found out I could ‘program’ what kind of form they give and before you ask Celestia I did make sure I could use a second one on you so you can take on the real form the crystals would give you.” I said smirking. “I’m nowhere near cruel enough to make you go through puberty a second time. Although I am surprised at how quickly you’ve adapted to the new form.”

“Then use a second one!” Celestia almost yelled as she got to her feet. “Can you imagine what would happen if I tried to run Day Court like this?”

“Oh relax Celestia.” Discord said as he pulled out a picture book and showed her a page full of pictures of Celestia’s new look. “After all you’re so cute now!”

“Yeah! Just look at this this way. Now you look so adorable that people will be throwing sweats at you.” I grinned as Rainbow and Pinkie burst out laughing as they were no longer able to hold it back. “What do you think Luna?”

“I’m not sure but I do agree she’s very cute in that dress.” Luna said only to get a glare and pout from Celestia.

“Thank you Discord and I made it ourselves.”

“THHRRRIIIINNNN!” Celestia said as she ran over and started to punch me. Luckily I made it so she had the strength of a ten year old. Unluckily I was a squishy wizard so her punches still hurt.

“Now, now Tia, no need to inflict physical harm on Thrin.” Luna said as she used her magic to bring Celestia over to her.

“Besides you weren’t the first one Thrin used the crystals on. I was.” Discord said as he changed to his human form. “Although it seems like my chaos magic overcharge the crystal so I’m more human than Draconequus now... well that or Thrin messed with it a little.”

“And you know what the best part is Ranma? You’ll never know.” I said looking at Discord with a smirk.

“You said you were in the form of Morgana right?” Twilight said as she looked through her copy of the book I made. “Isn’t she the fallen angel?”

“Yes and she’s also the only Champion who normally uses dark magic that I’d trust.” I said before my eyes went wide as I realized something. “Rainbow I just thought of something conserving teaching you Wuju.”

“What is it?”

“Teaching Wuju is going to be a major commitment one that might, I repeat MIGHT, require you to stop training to get into the Wonderbolts. Now I don’t want to take away your dream and I can teach you a different kind of martial arts thanks to Lee Sin but I’ll let you decide.” When I said Rainbow might have to choose her dream or learning Wuju she looked horrified but when I said I could still teach her something if she gave up Wuju she calmed down. “I’m sorry I didn’t think of this sooner Rainbow. I should have never put you in this situation by offering to teach you Wuju.”

Rainbow just sat there with her eyes closed as Rarity who was inspecting the dress asked. “You said that you and Discord made that dress. How did you get the silk and who sewed it? I’ve never seen anything like it.”

“Now that Discord’s here.” I said nodding in his direction. “I felt comfortable enough to turn into the Champion Elise who can turn into a giant spider so that dress is made from spider silk and Discord is the one who did the actual sewing.”

“Oh stop your embarrassing me.” Discord said.

“I never would have expected such skill Discord perhaps we can trade notes later?”

“I would be delighted.” Discord grinned.

“FOCUS!” Celestia shouted. “Thrin will you PLEASE use a second crystal?”

“Maybe in a week or two. I mean that outfit is also used by an ice fairy so it fits the season.” I grin and once again Celestia pouted.

“Ice fairy? Is she from the League?” Fluttershy asked.

“Nope, who here remembers Arashi?”

“How could we forget. He’s the one who helped you save Harukaze’s eggs. How’s she doing by the way?” Applejack asked.

“She’s fine I went and saw her nest about a week ago to check on the wards, and the Ice Fairy I’m talking about is from the same universe that Arashi… well he wasn’t Displaced as anyone from that universe. It’s more like he joined it in a way.” I said bringing my hand to my chin before shaking my head

“So who’s this Ice Fairy?” Twilight asked.

“Her name is Cirno and she’s the strongest Fairy in Gensokyo. Heck she’s so strong she might stop being a fairy and… evolve for lack of a better term.” I explained. “And don’t ask me to make a book on everyone from Gensokyo. I might have been a fan but I don’t know enough for that.”

“What would she evolve into?” Luna asked.

“I’d guess a Yuki-Onna or Snow Woman, but we’re getting off topic.” I said.

“Thrin I’ve made a decision.” Rainbow said opening her eyes.

“Wasn’t expecting you to make one so quickly.” I said.

“You’re going to use one of those crystals on me then teach me Wuju. I want to be a Wonderbolt not only to show off my skills but to inspire Ponies to become better, and the way I see it I can also do that by helping you defeat the monsters attacking Equestria.” Rainbow explained.

“Actually there haven’t been any attacks apart from Khalamari.” Luna said.

“Which means that Bolarc and Dhoulmagus are most likely panning something.” Rainbow said. “So the sooner Thrin starts teaching me Wuju the better we’ll be.”

“I’ll get started on lesson plans and getting training gear together” I said. “Now do you want me just use an unaltered crystal or program one to give you a head start?”

“Unaltered. There are no shortcuts getting into the Wonderbolts or learning martial arts.” Rainbow exclaimed.

“All right.” I nodded as I pulled out a crystal that’s color is so dark it could be mistaken for black. “Don’t worry this one won’t change you. I call it an ‘empty’ crystal. All it’ll do is copy what you’ll look like which I’ll use to make sure the training and cloths I get for you will fit, but we’ll have to use it soon so you can get used to being a biped and having hands.”

“Why would I wear clothes? Wouldn’t I be fine without them?” Rainbow asked as I gently placed the crystal against her hoof and when I did the color changed to a bright pink.

“On the contrary my dear.” Discord said as I put the crystal away. “You won’t have a fur coat to keep you warm in the cold or protect your skin anymore and if you try walking on your hands and knees as if they were hoofs then you’ll be… ahem ‘presenting’ yourself, if you get my meaning. You’ll have to relearn how to walk and fly due to everything about you changing. Give it…oh three days and we should have the first batch of cloths ready.” As Discord explained why cloths are necessary everyone blushed and Fluttershy hid behind her wings.

“Well.” Celestia coughed. “At least you were considerate enough to send something to so I’m not accidentally embarrassing myself.”

“How many colors are there for the… dark magic crystals.” Twilight asked trying to keep her discomfort out of her voice but failed miserably.

“One moment.” I said as I pulled out a small note book. Flipping through to the right page. “Purple is the ‘Basic’ because of course everything that’s dark magic just HAS to be some shade of purple or green. Which is ridiculous because that’s saying that the colors themselves are evil.” I said rolling my eyes. “Black as you’ve seen is ‘Empty’, pink means it’s successfully copied a pony’s data, and I’m thinking of using crimson to show it’s a ‘Custom’. Now I hate to just kick you all out of my home but Discord and I have a few projects we want to work on that will take most of the day and I’d like to get to them before noon.”

“What kind of projects?” Twilight asked as my guests got to their feet.

“Well the Warp Gate the big one right now.” I said. “I’ve been working on blueprints for a while now and thanks to Discord we’re almost ready to make a prototype. The rest are a secret for now.”

“Can I help work on the Gate?” Twilight asked as the others left the room.

“We’ll let you know after a few tests with the proto type alright?” Discord offered.

Twilight nodded and fallowed the others out of the room. Waiting at the window until I saw they all left the tower I rushed out of the room and went right to my study where a letter I’d finished moments before everyone arrived waited. Grabbing it I turned to a grinning Discord who passed me a photo showing a pouting Celestia and some glue. “Orgran’s going to have a riot when he sees this.” After gluing the photo to the letter I pulled out Orgran’s token and passed it to Discord who used the token to rip a small hole in the air and threw the letter inside.

“Now that that’s taken care of, we’ve got work to do!” Discord said and for the rest of the day we dove into our work, determined to finish the training room we were working on. We finished just before noon and once I gave Discord everything he’d need to know to make Rainbow’s outfit he left to grab the rest of the spider silk and get to work.

Meanwhile I summoned Shopkeep and bought ten Terrarien Target Dummy’s, a book for Fairy Tail’s Archive Magic, and a year’s supply of Basilisk chow for a total of a hundred and fifty gold. I also asked Shopkeep if he knew how to set a location for where my mount is ‘dismissed’ to and was glad to find out he knew the answer. After I placed the Target Dummy’s in the room I went to eat some lunch and set my Basilisk’s home to the empty stable Discord had whipped up a while back just for this occasion before returning to the room and placing several spells on the room by combining the power of Ryze and Zilean to not only reinforce it but also turn the room into my own version of Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Unfortunately I could only make it that one hour inside the room equals an hour and a half outside but it was better than nothing. I placed two large clocks inside. One with the time inside the room and the other with the time out side and gave them similar runic enchantments to make them much more durable.

During the three day’s between the meeting and Rainbow coming to use one of the crystals Luna had told all of Equestria someone had pranked Celestia and they had a few ideas on who did it and that they were one hundred present certain that apart from the change in form it was harmless. Meanwhile I’d spent all the time I wasn’t working on my main projects training. I’d finished translating all the El tomes and learned many new spells from Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. Once the three days were up both Rainbow arrived with Twilight who wanted to document the process which I firmly denied telling her. “We don’t want knowledge on the crystals falling into the wrong hands.” Which after a few moments of thought she agreed.

“Alright Rainbow now just to let you know, I’m going to have to ask you to live here until you’ve fully adjusted to the new body. I’ve got a guest bed room all set up and everything.” I said.

“What about the Princess? Why didn’t she have to adjust?” Rainbow asked.

“I’d guess that it’s because she’s got at least a thousand years of experience.” I said pulling out a Basic crystal. “So… you ready?”

“Yup, told my job I was taking a vacation to learn some new skills to better defend Equestria and while Scootaloo’s disappointed that she couldn’t come watch she understands.” Rainbow explained.

“And your parents?” I asked.

“Sent them a letter telling them the same thing but I didn’t say where I was learning it.” Rainbow said.

“I’m guessing they’ll the kind of parents who can easily embarrass their foals.” Twilight said.

“That’s putting it mildly.” Rainbow muttered. “Can we get on with it?”

“Yup just need to do one thing first. CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION! AHRI!” I exclaimed. “There now I can help you get dressed, without you feeling too embarrassed. Catch.” Tossing the crystal at Rainbow as Twilight took a few steps to the side so the crystal didn’t hit her by mistake. When she caught it her body glowed white and with a *pop* a now naked five foot tall anthro Rainbow Dash stood in front of me… before immediately trying to take a step only to flail her arms as she almost fell on her face. Reaching out with one of my tails I grabbed Rainbow. “Easy there Rainbow, no need to rush it. Take a moment to get used to the way your body balances now.”

“I… I got this!” Rainbow said slowly flexing her new fingers and adjusting her wings, as Twilight started writing down notes.

As this was happening I moved closer to Rainbow and used my arm to replace the tail supporting her. “We’re going to head into the room now. Just take it one step at a time. Twilight I need you wait here.”

“What? Why?” Twilight asked. “Can’t I watch and document this?”

“No Twilight. One it’s rude to watch someone get dressed if they don’t want to be watched. Two, I want as few people in the room as possible to help Rainbow feel comfortable. And three knowing you, you’ve got several questions about what each article is for due to ponies not needing to wear cloths all the time. So if I let you inside helping Rainbow get dress could take twice as long if I had to answer every question. If I ever let you use the crystals then you can document it what it’s like to get dressed unless Rainbow wants to tell you what it’s like. The only reason I’m going in there is to teach and assist her.” I gently scolded.

Folding her ears back Twilight nodded until I told her that I might let her use a crystal then her ears pointed straight up and her eyes gleamed with excitement. When Rainbow and I reached the door I said. “Alright Rainbow I want you to try copy my motions to open the door, alright?”

“Alright.” Using my arm I reached out and slowly did the motions to grab the door knob a few times. Rainbow managed to mimic the motions and open the door. “That wasn’t that difficult! I bet your just making this out to be harder than it really is.”

“That was just opening a door Rainbow. You still have a lot to learn about your new body.” I said and once we were inside I walked Rainbow over to the bed and showed her the outfit Discord put together and explaining why each piece was necessary.

“Ya know even though you changed to a female champion I know it’s still you so this is still kinda awkward. Let’s just get this over with.” Rainbow said as we started. When we finished Rainbow was dressed in a White short sleeved shirt, black fingerless gloves, and dark blue running pants. Looking at herself in a mirror Rainbow asked. “I not sure how Discord made it that the shirt would flow around my wings as if it was made of water when wearing it but I’m grateful! But what are the gloves for?”
“Think of them as another form of training. Taking them on and off should help you get used to your fingers quicker.” I explained, and for the next few months Rainbow was my roommate and when I wasn’t helping teach her Discord was. Rainbow was surprisingly not that stubborn and listened to what Discord and I told her, but I think it’s more because she wants to start learning Wuju that anything else. Ah well at least she’s motivated.

Chapter 11: Starting Rainbow's Training and the End of the Tests.

After Hearths Warming Eve days seemed to pass by in a flash. What with my training, learning new spells, along with Discord and I teaching Rainbow about her new body which she adapted to surprisingly quickly. When Rainbow and I turned up to help with Winter Wrap Up everyone who hadn’t known about Rainbow’s transformation, but after explaining it was so she could learn how to fight monsters almost everyone acted as if nothing changed. The only exception was of course Spoiled Rich, but when Rainbow and I reminded her that Princess Celesta had also been turned humanoid she glared at me and left leaving.

A week after spring started Discord, Rainbow and I were standing in the middle of my training room. As always I was in my Summoner’s Robes and Rainbow was wearing a training gi that looked a lot like Piccolo’s only sky blue with fingerless gloves and normal brown boots. The rest of our friends had come to watch along with the CMC and were sitting on a few benches Discord had set off to the side.

“Alright Rainbow it’s time to start your training.” I said. “Now I’ve been thinking a lot about how we’re going to do this and after doing a little experimenting I decided on the main fighting style I’m going to teach you.”

“So whose form are you going to use? Master Yi our Wukong?” Rainbow asked.

“Both Wukong and Master Yi will teach you Wuju.” I said.

“You mean you in those forms right?” Rainbow chuckled nervously.

Discord smiled. “Remember when Thrin said that the original Champions can influence him? In this case while he’s in those form’s I’ll be putting Thrin to ‘sleep’ so the original Champion can come out and play. Don’t worry I’ll be right here to make sure nothing goes wrong. Besides Master Yi and Wukong are good guys remember?”

“That and I can only ‘use’ Wuju. I’m not a master nor do I truly know how it works. This is the only way ‘I’ can teach you. And don’t worry Discord and I made sure nothing would go wrong.” I said.

In a flash Pinkie was right next to us and for some reason her eyes were pin pricks and she was twitching. “Ya-don’t-worry-Rainbow-but-this means-I-need-to-make-a-‘Welcome-to-Equestria’-party-for-them!-But-would-that-count-considering-they’re-part-of-Thrin?-Oh-who-cares-you’re-going-to-learn-something-all-but-lost-to-time!-Just-remember-Rainbow-to-do-your-best!-Now-if-you-exuse-me-I’ve-got-something-I-need-to-do!” With that Pinkie appeared back at the bench slumped down and fell asleep.

“…Note to self, don’t give Pinkie caffeine.” Discord said as he looked at the snack buffet he’d set up. It was full of a wide variety of snacks before but now it was buried under every kind of snake imaginable. Discord then looked at Pinkie and smiled. “Perhaps I should ask her if she wants to be my apprentice! If she can do this with a little coffee then what could she do with Chaos Magic!”

“That would be interesting to see but for now let’s focus on the task at hand.” I said. “Are you ready Rainbow?”

Rainbow stood to her full height. “Let’s do this!”

“CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION. MASTER YI!”

‘I’ stood there motionless for a moment before looking directly at Rainbow and when ‘I’ spoke it wasn’t me, it was the real Master Yi. “Well then young one. It is time to start your training. First I want you to show me what you can do. Now come at me!”

*Time Skip Two Weeks*

Rainbow’s training had gone as smoothly as one could hope and out of all the training weapons I’d gathered the Claws were the ones she’d taken to the most. Turns out Rainbow was a natural born Final Fantasy-esq Monk. Who would of guessed? During the time Rainbow returned to her home and I offered to use another Crystal on Celestia but much to my surprise she’d come to enjoy her new form and didn’t want to change it. According to Luna a few of the chefs were giving her some extra sweets now and Luna was making sure she and Celestia did some intense training to make sure Celestia didn’t gain any extra weight and learn new tricks in their free time in case they needed to fight off some of the stronger monsters from Bestiary or the two evil Displaced.

During that time Discord left to do his job and he didn’t know when he would return. Meanwhile I’d focused most of my free time into making the prototypes for the Warp Gate work and making sure my calculations were correct. Two days before I met Orgran I turned into Taliyah the Stoneweaver to create a stone arch in one of the ground floor labs.

Next I turned into Ryze to place the correct runes before repeating the process behind my home. Once I was ready to test the arches I left to find Twilight. Once Twilight and I were standing next to the second Gate. “Just to double check what you need me to do. I just stand here and wait to see if anything comes through?” Twilight asked.

“Correct. First I’m going to throw this head of lettuce though the Gate. If it makes it through I want you to throw it back with this note attached to it.” I explained and handed Twilight a folded piece of paper and a roll of tape.

Opening it up Twilight looked at it confused. “You are here by invited to Duelist Kingdom.” She read out. “What does that mean?”

“It’s a reference to the first story arc of a show I watched on Earth.” I explained. “I was feeling a little nostalgic when I decided to use that as the not for this test.”

“Fair enough.” Twilight said.

“Anyway the lettuce is the first test. The second will be one of the Minions, and you’ll give it this note.” I said.

“Gerry was here. Ash is a loser… Is that a reference too?” Twilight asked with a raised eyebrow.

I nodded. “Season one of a different show. Now if both the first two tests succeed then I’ll come through. It may be too much to ask but my hope is that the Gate will work first try. ”

“How long have you been working on the blueprints?” Twilight asked.

“I started three days after Arashi and I saved Harukaze’s eggs and used knowledge from a few of the Champions who use magic while making the blueprints and Discord helped when he returned. Turns out Ryze already knew a few runes that if used together could be used to warp crates and the like far distances. It took almost a month and a half but in the end I managed to alter a few runes that can be used for the Warp Gate, and I’ve checked and rechecked it since finishing the blueprints before I even made the arch.”

Twilight gave a slightly strained smiled at Discords name. “Well if you’ve spent this long and if Discord helped then I’m sure it’ll work.”

“Alright I’ll go to the first arch and throw the lettuce through.” Twilight nodded as I walked to the first arch. Once I was there I gently tossed the lettuce though and waited. Soon the lettuce came back with the note.

Then I created a red Caster Minion and sent it through. Then I sighed, I wasn’t lying when I told White Gem and Spell Weaver that the Minions could only be used for combat because at the time that was true. I’d stumbled across how to alter their functions by complete accident one week after I told them that but changing their function made them unstable if they’re working for more than five minutes and changing their forms was still impossible. Soon the Minion came back and handed me the note before disappearing. “Well here goes…everything.” I muttered before walking through the arch. I was surrounded by colors that slowly shifted and swirled. I continued to walk for a few more moments before exiting the second arch and saw Twilight whose grin went from ear to ear.

“IT WORKS! THRIN IT WORKS!” Twilight cheered. “We have to notify the Princesses immediately!”

“Not quite Twilight. There’s one last test. A stress test.” I said. “We need to know how many people can go through the portal at one time, but even if that fails we’ll still let the Princesses know about the success.”

Twilight nodded as I went back through the Gate. Turning around I made as many Minions as I could while still having room to walk around. After the first Minion went through I increased each group by one. Once the last group of ten Minions went through I canceled the first batch and created more to continue with the test. I stopped once twenty of them went through at once, dismissed the Minions and walked through to join Twilight a wide smile on my face. “Twenty at once on your first prototype. I have to admit I don’t know if I should be impressed by your level of preparation or worried that you put more work into this than I put into my projects.” Twilight said grinning herself.

“It’s thanks to all the sleepless nights.” I replied turning off the Gate. “But with these results I’d say it was worth it!”

Once Twilight and I reached Ponyville we went to find Spike. Spike was now half as tall as me after I suggested adding meat to his diet due to most of the dragons I knew of being carnivorous so he was now called a ‘young’ dragon instead of ‘baby’ and he was still growing. When Spike heard the news he couldn’t write the message fast enough and not even five minutes after he sent the letter we got a reply telling us to gather our friends and get to Canterlot as soon as we could.

Once we arrive at the Train station we saw Blueblood and Shining Armor waiting for us and they rushed us to the Castle. Once we arrived at the castle Blueblood and Shining Armor led the others to the side to stand by White Gem and Spell Weaver while I continued and stopped just before the thrones.

“Welcome all.” Celestia started. “We have called for all of you for a monuments and historic occasion.”

“Thrin within the time you’ve been in Equestria you’ve made many difficult choices have done many impressive achievements. Such as choosing to become stone to be in this time period, even if I personally don’t approve of said choice, saving Ponyville from monsters, discovering the Warlock Bolarc, befriending the Harpy Harukaze and warning us about Dhoulmagus. Saving the kraken Khalamari and now creating a Warp Gate.” Luna continued. “But these achievements alone would not make you an Arch-Mage. You’ve shown great patience dealing with those who do not show respect and when dealing with your own projects.”

(And yet my patience is thin when working on two of my main projects… I wonder if Orgran could help me with those.” I thought

“And now you’ve show you are capable with teaching younger minds as you’ve demonstrated with young Rainbow Dash who is learning a martial art all but lost to time.”

“Thrin by the power vested in my as Princess of Equestria and with the approval of my sister Princess Luna, Headmaster White Gem, my nephew Prince Blueblood, and the rest of the council, I am pleased to say that you have passed every test that you face on your path and are now instated as the first Arch-Mage since Luna’s and my old mentor Starswirl the Bearded. Congratulations!”

“Thank you Princess. I will do my best to not disappoint anyone, nor will I abuse my new title.” I said with a low bow.

Luna passed me a folder full of papers. “This holds all you need to know about being an Arch-Mage. The information inside is for your eyes only Thrin, so be sure not to let anyone see it.”

I immediately put the folder in my Storage Cube. “I will go over it as soon as I get home.”

“See that you do, and know that you’ll have to meet the leaders of the other kingdoms soon.” Luna said. “Make sure you’re prepared as it is possible for you to lose this title if enough of the other leaders think you unworthy before one year is up.”

“I’ll keep that in mind.” I said.

“Good. I wish we could talk more but Celestia and I will be very busy for a while due to the uproar many will have with your new station.” Luna said before smirking. “So be ready to be swarmed… is what I would be saying if we didn’t set up a press conference in three hours. This is when we’ll publicly announce your new station.”

I took a deep breath. “Let’s just get this over with.”

Chapter 12: Meeting Orgran's Friends and Family or A Spar with a Friend and a Stupid Mistake

The Press conference had just ended and I had to admit… I HATED IT! So many ‘Nobles’ throwing vailed insults, trying to learn how to please me to up their status or calming that all of my accomplishments were false. It took all of my will power to continue to treat them neutrally. At least most the press had real questions for me and kept it pleasant. How backwards is that? The paparazzi know to respect boundaries but the Nobles don’t, and much to my shock Fancy Pants was one of the main Nobles trying to brown nose while Fleur de Lis was the one throwing the most insults. As we walked to a sitting room I heard.

[Thrin! Buddy! Pal! PLEASE tell me you have something for me to do! Boredom is killing me!]

(THANK THE ARCANE!) “Be back soon guys. Orgran is calling me.” I said before disappearing.

In a flash of light I appeared and looked at Orgran with wide grin on face. “Great timing man. We just finished an announcement and interview about my Equestria's new Arch-Mage. It was so freaking boring and way to many ‘Nobles’ looking for ways to brown nose! So what’s new with you?”

“Oh nothing much, except me and my wife recently had a three-way with her mom.” He said, but I couldn’t tell if he was trying to prank me or being serious.

I gave a very awkward chuckle. “Sounds kinky. So who’s your wife?”

“SQUISHY WIZARD!” I heard a young sounding female voice yell and from behind Orgran came charging forward someone I assumed was either his wife or daughter, with a warhammer?

“OH SHIT NO! GHOST!” I yelled before becoming incorporeal.

The woman stoped her swing an inch away from my ghostlike nose before dropping the hammer and falling over, laughing her ass off. “HOLY SHIT DID YOU SEE HIS FACE?! Oh god squishy wizards are always such pussies.”

“...Thrin, meet my wife, Hella.” Orgran said.

“...A pleasure.” I grumbled before activating my Archive magic to create a yellow holographic computer and began typing a few notes down about what I just learned of female Dwarfs from Organ’s universe. “Although I didn’t know that the Dwarven women of your world were like your wife.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?” she asked.

“To be fair to most you would look like a young human female at a distance. I apologies if I insulted you in any way.” I said with a small bow of his head in Hella’s direction.

“I look like a what?” She asked. “Could you dumb it down a bit for the non-bookworms?”

“You look like a young girl around...ten years old if I had to guess, but again that would be if someone wasn’t talking to you and saw you at a distance. Does that help?” I asked, and got the feeling I was about to be in a lot of pain.

I didn’t notice Orgran backing away or Hella’s eye twitch. “You see, that’s what I thought you said… horse.”

“Fizzle.” I said and an orb made of many small yellow balls appeared around her before dispersing. “Shit.” I muttered. (She’s resistant to Silence spells! Perhaps I should go with…)

“No, I mean Horse.” She said picking up the hammer and slammed it down.

I fell to the side holding something that just got punched by a pillar of stone.

Orgran walked up to me. “Rule 1 of Dwarf Women, human women hate being called old, Dwarf women hate being called young girls.”

“Duly noted.” I groaned. “Cure.” A soft white glow enveloped me as Orgran helped me up, just as the door knocks.

“Oh really?! What now!” Orgran groan as he went to open it, only to be tackled by a the Elements and Princesses who were Anthro, naked and looked like they came out of someone’s wet dream, and for the first time I was glad I got used to the female Champion’s forms. For me now that I had been a woman I could now had a better understanding of what it was like. While this was happening I spammed the DQ Heal and Cure. Already used Ghost, I wanted to save the other spell slot just in case.

“Ow! What?! Why?!”

“Come on Orgry” Pinkie said and I couldn’t help but snicker at what that nick name could sound like if someone misheard her. Sometimes you just had to indulge yourself with a little dirty humor. “You keep putting off your welcome to ponyville party ‘cause you-say-you’re-not-living-in-ponyvillebutyoustillneedtohaveawelcometoEquestriapartysinceyou’reinEquestriaand-”

Mid Pinkie rant Orgran looked over at me. Probably to see how I was doing.

“Nothing spamming healing spells wouldn’t fix.” He said with a small flinch. “But I will be sore for a while.”

After Orgran got Pinkie to get off him and compromising we have a small private party with just us here, he stated to introduce us. “Thrin, I would like you to meet my universe’s royalty and elements of harmony… I’m guessing part of you is curious as to what happened to have them… essentially anthropomorphic sex goddesses?”

“I’m guessing you used the knowledge that the Crystals could be reprogrammed to your advantage or this is their true anthro form.” I said with a shrug and as a wide grin covered my face as I pulled a copy of the pic of my Celestia out of my cube. “I know Orgran has seen this but would the rest of you like to see my world’s Celestia after she used a Crystal?”

“No!” Celestia pleaded.

“Yes!” everyone else accepted.

“Thrin, not now, anyways I actually got your letter at the last minute, the main part of the plan was hooking up the crystals to a spell-bomb, which may or may not have been strong enough to reach into the banished realm of a certain empire which I will not confirm or deny the existence of and that’s the end of it, so, is there anything you want me to help you with Thrin or do you want to have a bit of a spar?”

“I haven’t had a chance to spar with anyone seriously since Discord left to do his job. Sounds fun.” I said putting the picture back into his cube.

“And about the help?” Orgran said. “I want to get that done before putting myself in a fighting mood.”

“Well I have been having a lot of problems with two of my main projects.” I said tapping my chin wondering how much detail I should go into before pulling out the Thunder Tome. “I’m trying to make a spell tome about this big, but with near infinite pages so I can place all the spells from the Fire Emblem Tomes into it. That way I don’t need to switch which one I’m using in a fight and can put the rest of the spells I know in one place. I already have the spells I want to use to place defenses on it ready but I have no idea how to get the main book done. Not even any of the Champions I am willing to turn into can help with this.”

“Hmm, follow me I have something that could work.” Orgran said as he lead me down a hallway.

--------------------------------------------

“Ah, here we are, my private workshop, now what you need is a Mylinian Item known as a Mana Archive.” Upon hearing this I couldn’t stop gleam of curiosity from entering my eyes. “... Stop that you look like Twilight.”

“But unlike Twilight I can control myself.” I chuckled.

“Yeah, just don’t start drooling when you see my library. Now, the Mana Archive is actually not of Dwarven or Even Human make in Mylinia, it was actually the Dragonkin who created such a useful utility, akin to the tablets of Earth, Mana Archives had holographic pages and near unlimited storage space to house information and even display demonstrations visually with a 3D projection more defined than video. Many great wizards used these devices to an extreme, creating artificial guides from copies of their consciousness so that they may continue to teach the next generation.”

“That last part sounds like the Jedi and Sith Holo-cubes or whatever they were called.” I mused thinking back to the story mode of the Star wars Empire at War expansion pack.

“Except these holograms are sentient and can choose to bar you from learning if you are unworthy, even going so far as to overload the gemstones keeping the thing together, essentially killing themselves, it’s not hard to make a normal one however, though if you want to try the guide thing you’d need some Arcanite for the brain, anyways, to make one all we need is some empty book covers, a rechargeable mana battery, and several gems to program it all.”

I pulled out the book I wanted to make my spell tome. It was a custom order that Luna helped me do secretly. The book is the same color as my robes with fusion of an A, T, and Star in the center of the cover. This was to be my personal mark. It stood for Arcane, Time, and the star represents that no matter how far the goal is with enough work you can find a way to reach it. Handing the book to Orgran I said. “This is the book I wanted to enchant. I’ve kept it on me in case I made a breakthrough.”

Orgran grab some gems and proceed to cannibalize the book for the cover alone, then he placed each gem in a spot and carving runes I’d never seen before into the gems and hooked it up the mana gem to be the battery and turned it on. “Spellbook please.”

I started pulling all the Fire Emblem tomes I owned out of my cube and placed them on a table. Once I was finished with the books he started pulling scrolls out. “How will I add more information to it?”

With that Orgran pick one of the books up. “Simple, it’s built in, you see that amber gem with the rune that looks like a claw picking up a stone? That’s the Dragonkin rune for assimilate.” Orgran tapped the book against the rune and I watched wide eyed as the gem lit up and absorbed the book into it before the flow of mana moved to the Archive gem. I don’t think any of Ryze’s runes could do that. At least not alone. “And the purple one here is Display, tap it to bring up the pages, the Control and Archive ones are automated, and to use it simply treat the screen like a tablet, to turn it off simply tap the Display gem again.”

“I’ll admit this is not what I had in mind but I can work with this.” I said barely able to contain my amazement and how the Dragonkin of Orgran’s home had so easily solved most of my problem. “And this will definitely give me an edge over Bolarc and Dhoulmagus.”

“Hmm, oh yeah, another thing I should mention, if you’re in a pinch simply place your hand onto the Control Gem, that’s the emerald, instead of tapping Display, then you can simply think up what you need and the Archive gem, the red, will transfer the right spell into your brain.” Orgran explained he had it assimilate the rest of the books and scrolls before passing it to me.

“Orgran you literally just solved EVERY problem I had with this project!” I said unable to hide me enthusiasm. “If I make more for my Equestria I promise you’ll not only get full credit for this but most of the profits that would normally go to me for introducing it.”

“Doing Dranlun’s work you are… anyway, anything else you need help with?”

“Yes. Something similar to this project.” I said and pulled out the staffs from Dragon Quest and Fire Emblem and laid them out on the table. “I wanted to make a personal staff with the combined power of these seven staffs. The five you see here are from Fire Emblem and are the Healing staffs, while these two are the Rune Staff and the Staff of Antimagic from Dragon Quest. I thought i would be a good idea to have other ways of casting healing spells or Fizzle and the Rune Staff can increase my allies defenses.”

“...You want just that or do you want to learn some Mylinian spells too? I mean I have been meaning to call up the Merchant for some Arcanite anyway.”

“WIth everything you’re offering I feel the need to teach you more of my spells...even if most of them are from Final Fantasy, Fairy Tail and Dragon Quest.” I said sheepishly I’d have to fix that now that Orgran was helping me with two of my main projects and my Warp Gate was so close to compleation.

“I’d be up for it, but really it’s going to be element-neutral spells at most, like Song or Soul magic, if you want what I can do you’ll have to have an earth aspect or get one, and I doubt you’d survive a dip in molten metal or injecting liquid rock into your bloodstream.”

“What about the Champion Malphite or Skarner?” I said before I realized something and snapped my fingers. “Wait a minute! I’m forgetting the Champions here!! I have access to the entire Dalmacian Archive not to mention Ionia! Heck I’m teaching the Rainbow of my world Wuju. Who would have thought she’s a natural at being a Monk.”

“Oh please, Skittles is about as subtle in martial arts as she is in hiding her massive Les-boner for Applejack.” Orgran said flatly. “The things she does with her lasso when she thinks no-pony’s looking would make Molestia blush.”

“Dude she gave up on her dream of becoming a Wonderbolt for this training. The one in my world is a lot more mature than I first thought. Tell you what. I’ll make a Lacryma of the Archive magic and put a lot of the Dalmacian spells into it. Then I’ll send it to you as payment for the Mana Archive and staff. Deal?”

“Sure, come on, I still need that Arcanite, and if you don’t want it, you’ll get to meet the Merchant, so either one’s good.” He said pulling out a copper statue.

“It would be interesting to meet the Merchant.” I said with a shrug. I’d have to be on guard. I may have no qualms with the Merchant but that didn’t mean I trust him. “But I’ll just stay back and let you do business with him. I don’t want to risk screwing your deal up.”

“Relax, the only way you’d manage that is if you thought to punch him.” Orgran then begin the summoning call, and the Merchant arrived a lot faster than I had expected..

“Ah, Orgran, my trusted supplier, to what-... who’s he?”

“Another displaced, speaking of which, I need some Arcanite to use for some projects.”

“Hmm… well your goods are still high quality, especially that Yveltal plush, just sold it off recently, here.” he says before passing me a generous chunk of it.

Then he looks right at me with what I assumed was a not-visible-grin. I stiffened slightly, getting the feeling this Merchant knew something he shouldn’t “Say? Got any siblings or friends you’d like to meet again, I’m sure I could arrange something…”

“So could Shopkeep or the other versions Arashi and Cecil.” I calmly said.

“Argh.” the Merchant spat. “So you’re part of Shopkeep’s little club huh? No matter I can find other deals to make.” Then he tapped his chin. “But say, now that I look at you… you’ve already got someone out here, a sister, perhaps? What if I said I could… nudge you, in the right direction?”

I looked at the Merchant for a few moments. How did he know about my sister? I swear on the Arcane if he somehow managed to screw her over! In the end I sighed and in a flat voice I said. “What do you want.”

“Well it’s rather simple, I’ve been recently discovering some displaced are tampering with my spells, so my items have begun to fail 50% of the time, I can’t stop them but… they have no way of countering another displaced’s enchantments, if you accept you’ll see many of my defective props in your room, simply give it a working spell and I’ll collect it later.”

“Does it matter what kind of enchantment I put on the items?” I asked, despite myself I was curious what the Merchant wanted.

“Yes, it needs to be the same kind as I use, the method isn’t important, so long as it displaces the poor sap as what they dressed as to another Equus.”

So it was help him Displace people to find my sister or do nothing and hope her Token came to me. I know I could ask Yukari or Shopkeep but it felt like something was holding me back. Almost as if the Void itself was saying that was a bad idea. “Is it safe to assume you’ll teach me the spell if I accept?”

He laughed at that. “Please, if my kind of spells were still effective, why would I have another use them? No, I only care about the end result, I don’t care how you do so, even go to that Shopkeep and buy one of his spells for it, as long as it works I’ll be happy.”He reaches his hand out. “Do we have a deal?”

I weighed my options before giving in and shaking the Merchant’s hand. “Deal.”

“Excellent.” he pulled his hand away, revealing he placed a strange rune into Thrin’s palm. “That will draw your sister’s Token to you so long as you pour magic into it, and once it arrives, allow you to summon yourself to her Equestria using it instead of waiting for her to find yours… farewell.” and in a puff of smoke he was gone.

I shuddered. “Can’t help but feel like I made a deal with a devil here.”

“Yeah, but if anything he always keeps to his deals, so if he says it’ll work…”

I shook my head. “Well as...uncomfortable as that was it’s good to know I’ll find my sister soon.” (Only problem is what she bought. I any of the characters I despise turn up…well then I get to have a little fun.

Orgran clapped his hands. “So! Staff design?”

“I want it to look like a simple wooden staff with a grey wolf carved at the top. In most fantasy setting the fancier the staff the stronger it is. Not many would expect a simple walking stick to be a powerful mages staff.” I said with a smile.

“Should I also use the Arcanite I’m gonna put into it to make it so the head bites anyone except you trying to use it?”

“Yes please but make it so if I give someone permission they can use it. That way my friends can use it in an emergency.”

“Got it.” Orgran said as he begin to work. I know Poppy can count as a master smith but not even she had the same level of skill Orgran showed, he just showed how good Dwarves could truly be. “Last thing, song or soul?”

“What do they do?”

“Soul allows you to manipulate soul energy and turn your astral projection into a fully fledged poltergeist, good for either spying, fear tactics or it’s halloween and you need to explain what Five Nights at Freddy’s is. Song Magic is one that affects reality based on the songs played and the user’s intent with that song, for example, songs like Disturbed’s ‘indestructible’ would make you an absolutely terrifying beast on the battlefield, have you use the heavy rock to cause the earth to quake, or have the guitar riffs unleash sonic attacks, although if it’s for entertainment it will let you summon a demonic band to play alongside you or something.”

“So Song would be good for Pentakill or Sona as I’m not much of a musician.” I pondered. “Soul is sounding more useful to me at the moment… I’ll go with Soul.”

“... um, I was going to mention the song plays through the staff from your mind but whatever.” Ogran said.

“What I mean is that I could not only attack with their normal abilities but can also use other music to disorient my foe’s and the other effects from the magic.” I explained. I mean there’s nothing stopping me from buying the Song Magic in the future.

“I see.” He hammered the emblem in place then continue on with the work. “Soul is a double-edged sword, much like the crotch-plate, while useful, it’s not recommended to try and use the astral projection abilities until you’ve ensured your body’s safety, as if you don’t… well, it wouldn’t exactly be hard to off someone meditating, if you are using it, the best thing to do would be to use the soul energy around to make Poltergeist minions for those tasks.”

“Thank you for the warning Orgran. I’ll keep it in mind.” I said putting everything he was telling me about Song and Soul magic into my Archive. “Gotta love the Fairy Tail Archive magic. It may not be as useful as the Mana Archive for battles and the like but it still helps in different ways.”

“Speaking of battles, your staff is ready to-”

*Bark*

Bark? Did he just…?

He looked down. “... oops…”

“Did you just give my staff some form of sentience?” I asked with a raised eyebrow.

“I kind of do my job too well… so now you have a pet staff.” Orgran said as he passed me the staff, the wolf head moving around as it was now alive and acting much like a curious dog. It was rather cute in away beforeit burps up a fireball. At least it aimed at the floor where nothing would be set on fire

“I don’t mind my staff being alive, but where did the fireball come from? Its components were meant for support.”

“Well… Arcanite is essentially a form of magic given solid form, every Mylinian has it in there blood to allow the use of magic based on their aspects, by the looks of it, your Staff is now able to use the same spells it’s user is capable of.”

It barked again, then coughed a bunch of soot that got…into Orgran’s beard. Crap.

“... alright I’m gonna kill it.” He exclaimed before yelling and lunging out at the wolf-staff.

“Aero.” I said thinking quickly and a small ball of wind took all the soot out of Orgran’s beard and placed it in a nearby trash can, but it also knocked him away. “You ok Orgran?”

“Fine, anyways, now we’re ready for Sparring, just say ‘I wanna good fight!’ and a fae golem will guide you to the arena, I’ll get the others.” Orgran says as he wanders off.

My staff looked like it knew it was in trouble. Shaking my head I sigh. “Looks like I’m not the only one who needs to do a little training.”

-------------------------------------------------------

And so we were at the arena, Orgran and I stood on opposite ends, his friends sat in the bleachers, cheering him on.

“You go Orgran!” Pinkie yelled!

“Yeah! Kick this Thrin in the Flank!” Rainbow called

“...okay now this seems unfair, you mind if I try something?” Orgran asked.

“Go ahead.” Thrin replied, I had pulled my hood up on the way to the arena. So now my face couldn’t be seen and I had the staff in one hand and the Mana Archive in the other.

Orgran pulled out my token.

By the will of Drunlan, great spirit king of the Dwarves, grant me connection to another plane, bring me strength I had not attained before, and grace me with the power… to pull.” He said clenching his free hand.

Suddenly a rift appears, dropping down my universes Mane Six, Princesses, and… Discord? Why’d it grab him? He had a job to do.

“Hmmm?” Discord said looking around. “Why Thrin I didn’t know you had a vacation planned for us, but why so soon? I mean I just got back to work.”

“Relax, Discord, you’ll be back the same split-second you left, I was the one to summon you through the link Thrin’s token has with your world, I’m Orgran by the way, and from Celestia’s glare I can tell you know what I’m famous for… also, cute dress Celly.”

“Thank you. I admit I wasn’t a fan of this form at first but I’ve come to enjoy it.” My world’s Celestia said. For sake of my brain I gave all my friends nick-names until we were back home. Celly, Lulu, Twi, Dash, AJ, Flutter, Pinks, and Rares. They weren’t creative but it would work “But that doesn’t mean you’re getting off easy for giving Thrin those crystals.”

“Please don’t, I already dealt with my Celestia going Daybreaker and nearly roasting me alive once she transformed, I don’t need another.”

Celestia winced at the comment. “Not… my greatest moment.”

“Who said anything about attacking you?” Celly said with a cute yet very creepy smile. “I prepared a special lecture just. For. You.”

“Please, loli-lestia, you’re nowhere near as scary as my wife, so… this is the monk-style Rainbow I’ve heard about, a fresh perspective to know you and not be creeped out about what you do with AJ’s ropes.”

“WHAT!?” My Rainbow and AJ said, both with incredibly red faces, except AJ was glaring at Rainbow.

Dash and AJ also blushed but more out of anger than anything. “Kick his ass Thrin!” Dash yelled.

“Show him the power of Equestria’s new Arch-Mage!” Lulu cheered.

Orgran turned back to me. “So, how hard of an ass-beating do you want? Shall it be no holds barred or do you want me to go easy on the squishy wizard baby?”

Thrin cracked his neck. (I just KNOW I’m going to regret this) “Time to let one of the Beasts out of their cage for a while. CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION! CHO’GATH!” A burst of violet light appeared and when it faded a massive creature with four arms each ending in a blade. His eyes glowed green with as sharp horns jutted out of his skull was revealed. Opening my mouth to roar revealed hundreds of razor sharp teeth. His voice was mostly the same but had an echo. “Let’s see how long I can control one of the Forbidden Champions!”

Orgran let out a yawn, checked my gear, then yelled.“HELL-KNIGHT! ENSHROUD THY KING!

A demonic rift opened behind Orgran and a steam powered mech emerged as big as me slowly rose from the depths of the rift. It’s body looked like a mix of steel and magma, it’s helmet that only revealed a raging furnace, and a chainsword and shield which burned with the emberglow of its heart. It climbed out with a hiss and a groan of creaking metal as it grabbed me up and tossed me into its chest as if it ate me, then let out a roar which sent out a pillar of flame from every opening.

All the ponies looked concerned or scared as they looked at each other, but out of all of them Discord was the most concerned. Discord muttered something but I was so focused on keeping control that I didn’t hear it.Orgran’s laugh echoed out the machine, the enchantments making it deeper and more sinister. “A fat lot of good Cho’Gath’s gonna do him without any minions to ‘Om Nom Nom’!

A Fae Golem showed up, glowing a pleasant green. “Fighters ready?” it says in its fluttershy level of cute voice.

Ready!” Orgran confirm.

“Bring it!” I agreed my tail slamming into the ground behind me.

“Then… begin!” it flew out of the way. Orgran opened the battle by trying to hit my head with his shield. I dodged to the side and brought two of his arms down to pierce the Hell-Knight’s right leg. “Unlike in the League. I have no restrictions!” (Not a total lie. While I’m nowhere near as powerful as them at 100% I don’t have any restrictions on my abilities.)

Good! Like how my mech’s not got as many as you think!” Orgran called as he used the opportunity to twist the mech’s hips a perfect 90 degrees to bring his sword down on the two exposed limbs.

Seeing this I did the first thing that came to mind. “Feral Scream!” I let loose a roar that I thought could make a Kaiju proud which shook the ground, knocking Orgran’s attack’s away from the sound waves alone. His sword impaled his left arm but that didn’t stop him as he moved the right down to hook onto my arms possibly wanting to break a few bones.

Never challenge a Dwarf in Melee! That’s like challenging Robin Hood to an Archery Match!

“Yeah! Show him Orgran!” Twilight cheered.

“Show that beast how a true warrior fights!” Luna exclaimed.

“Holy shit! He is so hot right now!” Hella stated, well at least he knew what she liked and wasn’t afraid to show it.

So far Cho’gath hadn’t put up much of a fight but as the arm came down to grab me he struck with full force. Just as I was about to lose control I yelled. “CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION! WUKONG! GHOST!” and fell unconscious.

Next thing I knew I was looking at Orgran who was surrounded by hundreds of Dwarven skeletons and had the memories from Wukong shoved into my head. “I am NOT turning into any of the Forbidden Champions again for a while.” I groaned, I’m going to have a huge headache if not a migraine soon.It took me a while but I did see Orgran’s panic attack at looking at the Dwarven skeletons.

“This, this can’t be right it’s impossible, I can only summon the dead of this world, how did Rustbeards form?” He said his voice full of fear as he kept turning to see more when they shifted.

“There’s… there’s too… how, HOW IS THERE SO MANY OF YOU!? WHY ARE YOU ALL TRAPPED!?” He yelled panicking. “The Black-Heart can only resurrect those that refuse to leave, but this isn’t possible.” I cast a quick Cure spell on myself and moved to Orgran’s side. I wanted…no I had to try to help.

Placing a hand on his shoulder I said. “Orgran.” My hood was down and tears flowed from my eyes. “I might...I might know a Champion that can help. That can send them on their way, but the choice is yours. I will not force you but I think this should mark the end of our spar. We have more important things to do now.”

“You… you don’t understand, even if one clings, their families can guide them to the afterlife, the only ones that should be here are lone warriors, but no, there’s too many, too many killed too quickly to guide the lost.” I his voice was dead as sobbed and me pulled into a hug. “Why… why is there so many? What could kill so many of my kin like this? And why are they here?”

“I don’t know my friend but I think this one does.” I said drawing his attention to a Dwarf wearing a Gold Studded eyepatch.

“Ilnarok… I know him, that means this was my… Orgran’s original clan.” He said walking up to the undead. “Who… what did this.”

I couldn’t hear what the undead said but due to Orgran’s reaction I knew it was bad. “No… he’s dead, I saw him die” The undead continued to talk, once he was finished Orgran turned to me “Thrin, help them pass on, they should not cling to this world with what they have seen.”

“I do not know if this will work but I will try.” I said getting to his feet and taking a few steps towards the Dwarves and in a somber voice I said. “Champion Transformation. Soraka.” A flash of light and in my place stood a very tall purple skinned woman with cloven hooves for feet, a golden-yellow dress, long white hair, a red cape, a large horn sprouted from the center of her forehead, and in my right hand is a large golden staff with a crescent moon at the top.

Holding my staff in the air I felt the words come to me, and I knew Soraka lending her aid. I’d have to find a way to talk to the Champions soon. If only to thank the ones who didn’t try to take control and ask for advice. “To you who have passed. To you who are trapped. Let me bless and guide you on your way to the afterlife. Let me help you find the peace you deserve. Let my song and dance bring you to rest.” And with that I started to sing in a language that not even I could understand and began a slow dance as he started to circle the entire Dwarven Clan. The process took some time but I never stopped his song or dance until the last of the Dwarves had moved on and their skeletons returned to the earth. Part of me wondered if this was like the Final Fantasy 10 Sending ceremonies.

Even when the Dwarf with the eyepatch spirit was freed, he clung to the mortal realm for one last thing, he tapped my shoulder to get my attention, then spoke, in English.“Thank you…” his eyepatch glowed. “If you ever see that Warwick again, tell him I called him a bastard…” and with that he was gone and I fell to his knees panting heavily as the headace I felt earlier started pounding in my head as if it was a Dwarven anvil.

“How...did he know Warwick?”

“He doesn’t, what made him a good leader was his left eye, with it he could see an entire person’s life story, the eyepatch allowed him to control it.”

“That must have been...useful.” I said before changing back normal and collapsed unconscious. Twice in one day…Yup. I’m going to keep the Forbidden ones in their cages for a long, LONG time.

-------------------------------------------------------------

After the situation had calmed Orgran opened a rift and helped everyone through, stopping my and Discord who was supporting me as I still couldn’t stand properly with all the energy I used and the headache still going strong.

“Guys I… I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to hit you with all the heavy stuff, and I won’t force you to help me fight the Caribou or the Netherborn.”

“Don’t be foolish Orgran.” I said looking him right in the eyes. “You’re my friend and I wouldn’t feel right leaving you to fight this alone. While I might not be able to help directly in fights due to my own problems with Bolard and Dhoulmagus but I can spread the word about this Demon to other Displaced I meet. Some might be able to send aid and I KNOW the other versions of me will do the same once I tell them.”

“Thanks… I’m gonna need all the help I can get as well, this isn’t just the Netherborn, Dainn wishes to revive the Netherlord, he was practically unstoppable before, we only won last time because Interse… sacrificed himself to save me… I-I don’t know how we’ll manage without support.”

“Arashi gave me a bag of Tokens that he said I might find useful before he left. I’ll try to contact some of them and tell them of the Netherlord. Before I was Displaced I heard of a school to teach new Displaced. I know some of the teachers were in the War of Shadows and a few might have been in the first Displaced war. The War of Understanding. Some of them might be able to help if we can find the right Tokens.” I said before shaking his head sadly. I never wanted to join a war but I knew that I would never forgive myself if I didn’t at least try to help “In the meantime I’ll try to wrap up at least one of my problems and continue training but I can’t ignore my duties as the first Arch-Mage since Starswirl.”

“The problem is I’m not sure mindless destruction is what he wants anymore after seeing the goals of the Caribou…” He then caught onto something I had said. “Wait, so considering our relationship wouldn’t that make you my Arch-rival?”

“If Sans was here I’m sure he’d at least chuckle at that pun, but I think we have more of a friendly rivalship going on Orgran. I am glad I was able to help your people.” I said giving a dry emotionless smile. I just didn’t have it in me to do more. “I wish you the best of luck my friend. May the Arcane guide your path and always enlighten you when you need it most.”

“You’d hate me right now if you knew my human name.”

“I doubt it.” I said.

He smirked. “Before I was displaced my full name was Ark Kane.”

Somehow I’d found enough energy to chuck even though it agitated my pounding head. “So I guess what I said is even more fitting. Never lose sight of who you are now and who you were. That is how I chose to live anyway. Who knows. Something in our pasts on earth may give us hints for the future.”

He smiled. “See you later, old friend.” He ushered them through, and once they headed in he called into the portal. “And Discord! What I said to this world’s version applies to you too! Touch my beard and you’re dead!”

Discord shrugged. “I wasn’t even going to do that in any case… well maybe touch it up if you asked but I know what kind of Chaos I don’t want to create. I’d be a bad balancer of the scales if I didn’t. I just wish more versions of me thought that way.”

“Then you’re smarter than this one, he threatened to turn my beard into licorice if his reformation didn’t work!”

“Moron.” Discord said as he helped me through the portal.

Chapter 13: Rainbow's First Battle

View Online

It’s been two day’s since I helped the dwarfs in Orgran’s world move on and I’d finally recovered enough to write the letter for Orgran. It read.

To any who find this my name is Thrin, a League of Legends Displaced. At the time of writing this it’s been two days since I discovered a being that not only uses but is made of a kind of magic that is banned throughout the entire Multiverse. The being is called the Netherlord and he uses Nether Magic which is part of Entropy Magic. The Netherlord also uses this magic to control Demons called Netherborn. In the past this being sought to destroy my friend Orgran’s home but now with the help of the Caribou it seeks to conquer his world's Equestria. Know that any that is killed don’t pass on but instead are bound to the world they died even if there is an item or power that lets them ‘Respawn’ but there might be a way around this. With this letter is a copy of Orgran’s Token and all I ask is that you offer any help that you are capable of and if that is not possible them please pass on this message. I do not know what the Netherlord or Netherborn look like but I fear these are a threat to every everywhere. Thank you for reading this letter and any help you can offer. May the Arcane guide you.

Once that I was done and I’d sent a copy of the letter to the other ‘me’s’ and one into the Void it was time to call for Shopkeep. When the door appeared I slowly walked into his store and shivered at the sense of dread in the room. “Hello Thrin. Take a seat would you?” Shopkeep motioned to a chair in front of the register and he was dressed in a dark red business suite. Once I sat down he continued. “I heard about you the deal you made and I’m not happy. So before I decide whether to kick you out or not, tell me what happened during your trip to Orgran’s world.”

When I finished Shopkeep leaned back in his chair deep in thought. After a few minutes of silence he nodded to himself pulled out a cell phone, hit a button and held it up to his ear. This time when he spoke I had to clamp my hands over my ears because the language Shopkeep spoke in physically hurt my ears. When he finished I lowered my hands and waited. A few minutes later the Merchant walked in through one of the walls. “What’s this about Shopkeep? You know how busy I am these days considering a few Displaced are somehow messing with my sales.”

“Simple by making that deal with Thrin here you KNOWINGLY tricked him into breaking the rules of the Merchants Guild which you also broke. We’re not supposed to interfere with the clients of other members of the Guild without the agreement of their supplier. Therefor I have a say in the contract you and if you don’t like it you’ll have to null it or be kicked out of the guild.” Shopkeep said his voice reverberating around the room.

The Merchant sneered. “Of course one of the ‘Eldritch Golden Boys’ would care about that rule. Do you know how often it’s broken and no one cares?”

Shopkeep narrowed his eyes while I got out of my chair and moved to get away from the two and towards the door. “Yes I do but you forgot something. We’re the same rank in the Guild, and FYI the higher-ups keep track and know EVERY time that rules are broken. This is your second strike ^*ΩψꝽ, and I’m not in a good mood right now.”

I clasp my hands over my ears at what I assumed to be the Merchants name. (GAH! I don’t know what language that was but I never want to hear it again! Arge my ears are ringing!)

“FINE THEN! What’s your conditions?” The Merchant yelled pointing at Shopkeep.

“Simple. Once the Token comes in Thrin can stop making the enchantments if he wants, and if you want something from Thrin you must come to me first.” Shopkeep said.

The Merchant growled once again before reality seemed to flicker and the Merchant was gone while the palm of my hand started to burn. “There we go! I doubt he’ll bother you anymore.” Shopkeep said seemingly much more calm, before going into the desk the register was on and pulled out a a black stone with a silver rune on it. “Place this on an object and the correct Displacing enchantment will be placed on it. Know that it’ll only work within your tower and the moment you get your sisters token this rune will lose its power. Now get out of here, I’ve got a few other clients calling for my shop.”

Nodding I left the shop and used the Rune Stone on the first batch of items. Once that was done I put the Rune Stone on a shelf in my room behind a sheet of glass. Grabbed my Mana Archive, sword and staff put them all in place and left tower called and I kinda wished that the raven who responded to the call of the raven staff hadn’t suddenly teleported back to Orgran’s world a week after he arrived here, turns out that the powers of the Raven Staff were temporary. (Maybe I’m still jumpy after what seeing what happened in Orgran’s universe but I can’t help but feel like something’s going to happen.) I thought just before Harukaze flew overhead and I gave a short wave in greetings. When I made it to Ponyville I headed to the Sugarcube Corner.

“Hey Thrin how ya feeling?” Pinkie asked concerned. “And how come you’re heavily armed?”

“I’ve been better. I’m still kinda shaken after what happened a couple days ago and I can’t help but feel like something’s going to happen soon.” I said before ordering a dark chocolate cupcake and apple biscuit. One thing I learned yesterday is that while my staff didn’t need to eat it still could.

“I know what you mean. Rainbow was in here earlier and said the same thing, not to mention that my main and tail keep itching, then twitching, then my knees start shaking.” Pinkie explained. “I’ve never had that kind of warning for my Pinkie Sense before so that’s not really helping me stay calm. Well enjoy your food.”

“Thanks.” Holding the biscuit up to my staff I watched as he opened his mouth in a rather cartoony style and ate the treat whole with a single gulp. “Damn toon logic.” I chuckled as I started to eat my cupcake. About half way through Ponies started screaming and looking outside I could see them running towards Town Hall.

Rainbow burst into the Sugarcube Corner and said. “Everyone needs to evacuate to Town Hall right now! There’s a horde of earthbound dragons coming this way and none of them look friendly!”

Reaching for my cube I pulled something wrapped in brown cloth and passed it to Rainbow. “I was planning on giving you these later but now’s the best time. Fire and Ice Claws. You’re now one step closer to being a Monk Class fighter so put them on and lead the way!” As we ran to where the dragons were seen Rainbow slipped on her new metallic claws one with a red gem embedded in it with other with an icy blue gem. When we could finally see the dragons Twilight’s dome was over Town Hall again.

“So what are we dealing with here Thrin?”

Drawing my sword with my right hand and grabbing my staff with my left I said. “The bipedal yellow ones are called Jargon while the green variants are Dragums. They have a kind of dust in their jars that if they ingest it lets them breath fire but they can also throw it around. If some gets in your eyes wipe it away quickly.”

“Next we have Green and Dread Dragons. Between the two the Dread Dragon is the stronger one and can cast Snooze and Fizzle. Both the Green and Dread Dragon’s scales are stronger than the others so they’ve got a high defense so aim for their tails or faces.”

“While the Skelegon’s don’t have a fire breath they instead a frost breath and it’s weak to anti-dragon and anti-undead weapons.”

“And last in the Hacksaurus. You’ll want to try to leave them to me because that axe is no joke. Mix their ability to use it with their natural weapons and I think it’s safe to say they’re the more deadly kind of monster here.”

“Which world are they from?” Rainbow asked sliding into her more defensive fighting stance.

“Dragon Quest.”

Rainbow smirked. “So that means we’ll be getting some loot after this huh?”

“Focus on the task at hand Rainbow… but yes that is likely. So you ready to put what you’ve learned to the test?” I asked casting Haste, Protect, and Insulate to protect us from fire and ice.

“You know it.”

“Good. CHAMPION TRANSFORMATION! SHYVANA! Now then, let’s take care of this.” And with that the two of us sprang into action. Roars and bouts of fire quickly filled the air as Rainbow used her speed to dodge and weave around the different dragons and attacking when she has the opportunity. I on the other hand focused on first taking down the Hacksaurus and Dread Dragons. “Rainbow let’s pull back for a moment. I wanna try something!”

“Got it!”

We quickly moved back to where we started leaving the dragons behind us. Turning back to normal I took a step forward while sheathing my blade. Touching the emerald on my Mana Archive I focused on one of my summoning spells. Spinning my staff around I slammed its butt into the dirt. “Come forth oh beast of mists. Let your roar and great power show these who would harm the innocent that this town is under your protection. I summon you. MIST DRAGON!” Fog quickly rolled in and filled the area between Rainbow and I and the monsters.

“Ummm wasn’t something supposed to happen?” Rainbow asked right before an emerald green eye appeared in the mist looking at the two of us.

“Take out as many of the enemy dragons as you can.” I said and the vanished into the fog before the fog seemed to flow and become solid as the form of a dragon rose out of the mist and turned it’s emerald eyes turned to look at the monsters.

“And first summons is a success outside of training.” I said with a grin as the invading monsters hesitated and a few took a step back.

Rainbow eyes were wide as she watched the dragon released a stream of mist breath and the invading monsters started to fall to the ground dead. “Holy shit! Are all summonses this strong?”

I grinned and readied another spell. “Depends. I consider the Mist Dragon to be around the middle in terms of a Summons power.” When I dismissed the Dragon the mist dispelled Rainbow and I saw that only half of the horde had fallen.

“hmmm I’d hoped that the Mist Dragon would have taken out more. Oh well, ready for round 2 Rainbow?” I asked as my staff growled at what I thought was the dragon horde.

“You know it!” Rainbow replied.

Just then we heard a voice that made my hair stand on end. “Pity, such a pity that you’re having so much trouble.”

Snapping my head up saw what my staff had really been growling at. Dhoulmagus was floating above the battle field with a smug grin on his face. “So we finally meet, Dhoulmagen!”

Dhoulmagus’s grin slipped as he looked confused for a moment. “’Dhoulmagen… huh that’s a new one. Honestly I was expecting something like ‘Ghoulmagnus’.” Then he shook his head and the grin was back. “But on to more important matters. It seems like you’re having a little trouble Mr. Oh-so-powerful Arch-Mage.”

“I don’t think we’re in trouble do you Rainbow?” I asked as my gaze kept shifting between the oncoming dragon horde and Dhoulmagus as I thought about what options I had available.

“Nope.” She replied with a smirk but I could tell that something was throwing her off her game.

“Now, now no need to pretend you two. Here allow me.” With that Dhoulmagus turned and from the gem of his staff sent a laser that quickly made its way through the horde without touching a single dragon. A few of the Jargons looked at the ground then at Dhoulmagus and started to laugh only for the tail the laser made to flare up blasting all the dragons around it with an explosive force. “Aannnd done.” Dhoulmagus said as the last dragon fell to the ground before the entire horde turned black and disintegrated leaving behind a large wooden chest.

“Why are you here Dhoulmagus?” I asked now putting my complete focus on the jester like mage.

“I’m simply here to introduce myself. It’s such a pity that I couldn’t do so after you passed my little test with Khalamari but now I must bid you adieu.” Dhoulmagus said with a small bow as he seemed to fade out of existence.

Rainbow shuddered slightly once Dhoulmagus had fully disappeared. “That guy was nine kinds of creepy.”

“You’ll get no arguments from me, but right now I the main thing I want to know is why did he help us? He just admitted to controlling Khalamari but now he’s ‘saving’ us. It just doesn’t add up.”

“Who knows?” Rainbow shrugged as she started moving towards the treasure chest. “Come on let’s see what’s in that chest.”

Just before she got within an arm’s reach of it she stiffened and jumped back as the box’s lid split revealing a skeletal figure with a long tong and razor sharp metal teeth on the hidden edged of the box.

“Thrin what the Tartarus is that?!” Rainbow yelled as she got into her fighting stance again.

“A Trap Box, a powerful Mimic monster that like Khalamari is considered a ‘Boss Monster’ which means it’s more powerful than most monsters. It can cast Crackle to create large ice crystals to attack the enemy. Fuddle to confuse enemies and Snooze to put them to sleep, and you don’t have resistance to Fuddle or Snooze so they’ll always be able to effect you.” I said and snapped my fingers creating a group of Caster and Melee Minions then reaching for my Mana Archive. “You and the Minions will take the front lines. I’ll stay back and be your support.”

“What about you?” Rainbow asked as she dodged a Crackle spell.

“I’ve got a Catholicon Ring. It makes me somewhat resistance to confusion and sleep spells.” I said as I cast Haste, Buff, Protect, Shell and Oomph on Rainbow then Libra on the Trap Box. [Trap Box. HP ????. MP ????. No Weaknesses. Resistant to Explosions, Ice, Lightning, Poison. Immune to Death, Paralysis, Shock, Sleep, Confusion, Blind, Silence, and Sap.]

“So what do I need to do to kill this thing?” Rainbow asked as she slashed at the Trap Box only for it to block with one of its arms while the Caster Minions

“Same as before. Dodge its attacks and hit it until it dies!” I replied casting Aera making a green tornado engulf the Trap Box’s head leaving small cuts. When Rainbow went in for an attack the Trap Box brought one of its arms down to block and wrapped its tong around Rainbow’s leg. Then it slammed her into the ground knocking the wind out of her and used her as a flail to knock the Melee Minions away before throwing her to the side.

“CURA!” I yelled running over to Rainbow as my staff growled at the monster while casting a continuous Aera on the Trap Box as the Caster Minions kept their barrage up keeping it in place and a soft white glow enveloped Rainbow as she sucked air into her lungs like a fish that was just returned to water. Once she’d recovered she scrambled to her feet a low growl left her throat as a red aura started emanating from her body and with a roar she shot into the sky. My eyes widened when she came flying back down only for a rainbow colored shock wave to appear and her speed double. Just before she hit the ground she swerved and started to spin turning herself into a drill and was heading straight for me and the Trap Box making my dive to the side. “SHIT!”

Turning I saw Rainbow tear through not only my Minions but also the Trap Box as if they were made of card board. When it died the Trap Box glowed and turned into a new treasure chest. Rainbow landed next to me the red aura nowhere to be seen. “What?” Rainbow asked seeing my shocked expression.

“Do…do you know what you just did?” I asked.

“You mean apart from saving the day by killing the monster?” Rainbow inquired tilting her head.

“You just unlocked a Limit Break!” I shouted. “Do you have any idea how hard those things are to unlock?! Each Limit Break is unique to the one using it. Sure there are some that are similar but no two Limit Breaks are the exact same. I haven’t even unlocked one!”

Rainbow’s jaw dropped before a proud smile spread over her face. “Guess I’m just that awesome!”

“Don’t make me get Master Yi or Wukong out here to knock some humility into you.” I said making us both chuckle.

When we opened the real treasure chest we saw that like the last one it was full of gold and jewels but this one didn’t have any bags of herbs. Instead it had one with a few bottles of milk, a bag of powder with the picture of cheese, a bag with a red scale and one with... “Why is there a bag of shit in here?” Rainbow asked. “And how come it doesn’t smell?”

“Because Dragon Dung can be used as an alchemy ingredient. Unfortunately I don’t have an Alchemy Pot so I can’t use it for anything other than fertilizer.” I said shrugging. “As for the smell I can only assume that the bag’s enchanted not to let the smell out or to make it that there isn’t any smell.”

Then Rainbow pulled out a large blue gem in the shape of a tear drop. “What’s this?”

“That is the Venus Tear. As far as I know it’s normal for a Trap Box to have one and until I examine it to see if it has any magical properties it’s just a beautiful gem stone.” I said and looked up to see the sun was starting to set.

Rainbow shrugged and put the Venus Tear back in the chest. “Let me guess one of the Champion’s knows a lot about gems?”

“You could say that.” I said. “His name is Taric and he is known as the Shield of Valoran.”

“I’ll take a look at that book of Champion’s later and you can go through this and give me my share later.” Rainbow said with a yawn. “After that I just want some sleep.”

“Agreed.” I said putting my hypercube to the side of the chest it was sucked into the cube. “I’ll go over this in a day or two. Good job out there Rainbow, take three days off of training.”

Rainbow nodded and flew away.

When I returned home the first thing I noticed is that a stone golem coved with most with a few mushrooms and white flowers on its head waiting for me.

“I don’t remember making any golems…wait are you Ivern’s friend Daisy?” I asked and the golem nodded to the best of its abilities. “Do you know who I am?” Another nod. “Well that helps I guess, but how… screw it. I’m too tired for these questions right now. Can you just patrol for now and keep make sure no animals snuck in?” Daisy gave a thumbs up and started to walk away. “Alright well just come find me if there’s something you don’t think you can handle. I’m off to get some sleep.”

Chapter 14: A Melancholy Meeting.

Somewhere in the Multiverse a woman was dressed in all black and drinking at a bar that was created for Void Dwellers. Her sapphire blue eyes normally full of laughter and joy were dark with pain and sorrow and her dark green hair was tied into a tight bun that's kept together by a black ribbon.

"It seems you've met with a terrible fate Roxane," Glancing in to her left the woman saw the Happy Mask Salesman as he slipped into the seat next to hers.

"Hey Happy," Roxane sighed, "What are you doing here? You've never been one to drink."

"We heard what happens to one of your Displaced my dear," A woman with blond hair and dressed in a dark purple dress said as she sat on Roxane's other side, "And considering how careful you are when you Displace someone we figured you mind need some company."

"How careful was I when some dumbass goes and fucks up the Lay Lines to such a point that the planet became a black hole Yukari? I knew that there were tons of people on that Equess who were powerhungry but I never thought that Xerath, Swain and Lissandra would team up. Let alone do that," Roxane snorted into her drink as the Beastmon bartender placed a glass of fruit punch in front of Happy and a cup of red wine in front of Yukari.

"Roxane you can't blame yourself for that," Yukari said gently, "We are powerful yes. I more so then most but you can't just..."

Roxane ignored Yukari and slammed her mug on the bar, "And that's not even going into what my old apprentice Butch..." Roxane said growling out the name, "Did to Thirn's mind. Changing his memories? Shoving the hundred of souls from dead versions of Runeterra's Champions into him after showing him a glimpse of the Multiverse? That poorly made seal that very easily could have killed him? No. I'm a failure. As a Displacer... and mentor."

Happy put his hand on Roxane's back his face solemn, "No your not Roxane. You dropped everything the moment you realized what Butch did to Thrin and started to find ways to undo the damage. Butch fled and is now a wanted man for what he did and even his father is disgusted in him."

"...I should tell Orgran at least. He deserves to know what happened to his friend," Roxane sighed.

Happy lifted his drink and held it out. Understanding flashed through Roxane's eyes as she and Yukari clinked glasses with him, "To Thrin. A Displaced who died before his time and brother to both Cecil and Arashi. May he find happiness in his next incarnation no matter who or what it might be."

"To Thrin," Yukari and Roxane said before the three finished their drinks.
