Sex tag is just to be safe, there will be no sex, just some mentions of it and a possible scene where there may be an attempt at seduction that does not get anywhere.

When Sunset finds another student from from school beaten and hiding in an alley, she does the only thing she can, she takes the girl home with her. Can one wounded soul heal another and save Sunset from the hate deep inside?

One girl a bully with connections to the underworld with a short temper.

Another girl afraid and shy to the point that it can be difficult to get through the day.

Both of them hurt by families, their souls near shattered. Will time together soften one and strengthen another, or will it cause everything to explode when truths are learned?

This is an AU starting before the first EG movie, though it will continue into it with changes. The world will work differently than our world and possibly a little different than the EG world being some relaxations on certain things.

This isn't tied to my other stories in anyway and is a birthday present to a friend of mine, Happy Birthday K! :pinkiehappy:

Arc 2 has split off into 2 different timelines so has 2 different stories.

The Sun and the Shy: Shadows Rising is the story centering around Sunset and Fluttershy's transfer to Crystal Prep Academy.

The Sun and the Shy: Canterlot Blues is the story of Fluttershy and Sunset staying at CHS and goes through the first movie.

She was the terror of Canterlot High School, the one whose mere presence alone kept the student body in line to her whims thanks to all of her blackmail material. She didn’t need anyone, after all she had successfully remade herself in this world all on her own. Well, mostly on her own. Sure she was young when she crossed through the portal, but her mind was sharp as ever. It took her no longer than twenty four hours to get used to her new body. It took her a week to learn the most important ins and outs of this world. Three weeks since becoming human to locate someone who could get her forged documents that would hold up in most courts. And one month since arrival to fence a small portion of her gems and bits to make her a millionaire over night. She was set for life, not needing anyone or wanting anyone in her life.

And yet, despite her vehement denials she had a few friends in her apartment building as well as some of the upper class society of Canterlot. She also had connections in the underworld to; the man who had made sure she received her paperwork was the head of the local mafia type syndicate who viewed Sunset as a daughter. While he didn’t want her near him for long for fear of her getting hurt, he held a soft spot for her, and she him. She had a feeling he was the reason she had less trouble with things than she really should have.

“So why the hell am I doing this?” Sunset asked herself as she stood at the mouth of an alley as the sun was lowering in the sky behind her. Somewhere in the back of her mind she couldn’t help smirk at the irony seeing as she was standing in what was basically her namesake.

Her prey was farther down the dead end alley with no hope of escape from her, not that she really planned to actually do any harm. She was just curious as to why the girl she passed going into the store had a large bruise on her wrist peaking out from under the sweater as well as the nasty looking black eye. Normally Sunset wouldn’t really care about anyone from Canterlot High, in her opinion they were just a reminder of her past.

It wasn’t healthy holding a grudge against so many people because of one person who reminded her of the one who hurt her the most. She knew that, her therapist knew that, and her actual friends knew that. Yet it was something she couldn’t help doing, putting those that the bitch cared about down and stomping them for good measure. If she couldn’t have what was rightfully hers in her home world, she would take it by force in this one. And asserting her dominance over the peons was actually very therapeutic.

“Whose there?” A quiet, frightened voice whimpered from her hiding spot behind a dumpster. Usually the voice just annoyed Sunset seeing that the meek girl had been her main target over the last week. It was best to make an example after all, and why not use the easiest target to show her dominance and remind those who whispered of rebelling against her that she was not one to be taken lightly.

“Hello Buttershy.” Sunset smirked as she sashayed down the alley, taking her time letting the tension build with every click-clack of new high heeled boots striking the pavement. Sure she knew the girl’s name wasn’t Buttershy, but she wasn’t one to show weakness to her subjects. After all, she was the empress of the school. Who needed to be princess after all when you could be an empress?

“Please don’t hurt me!” Fluttershy squeaked out, shrinking in on herself as she huddled under the dumpster’s flap that provided plenty of shade.

“Now why would I promise that, hmm?” Sunset asked as she arrived to stand over the cowering girl, but something made Sunset frown. She had every student believing that she would do anything, but she would never actually hit someone. Knock things from their hands…well, maybe; but she would never physically hurt someone. She wasn’t a monster.

Are you sure about that? A small part of herself wondered.

“I-I’ll do anything!” Fluttershy cried causing Sunset to frown even more. She did not like the way the girl said that. Not at all. Kneeling down Sunset gently cupped Fluttershy’s chin between thumb and forefinger and forced the girl to look right into Sunset’s eyes.

“Who did this?” Sunset demanded as her eyes narrowed angrily.

“It doesn’t matter.” Fluttershy sniffed as she tried to pull away, only for Sunset to make the girl stay put.

“What. Happened?” Sunset demanded in her no nonsense voice making Fluttershy’s eyes widen in fear as she began trembling.

“My dad came home drunk again, I’d rather sleep here than go home to him like this.” Fluttershy whimpered as tears began gathering in her eyes.

“He did this to you?” Sunset nearly snarled, as realization began to sink in. The way Fluttershy was always scared of even her own shadow made perfect sense when Sunset connected that with the nasty looking bruising and black eye.

And you didn’t help any bullying the poor girl! Her conscious pointed out harshly.

“Whenever he’s drunk.” Fluttershy whimpered, “Almost every night.”

“Get up.” Sunset said as she rose to her feet.

“What?” Fluttershy asked, looking up in fear of what Sunset had planned for her.

“I’m not about to let you spend the night behind a dumpster, and I’m sure as hell not letting you go back to that.” Sunset declared earning a look of disbelief from the girl while she herself was wondering why the hell she even cared.

Then again she knew perfectly well, she couldn’t stand seeing someone abused by a parent. She herself was in the situation she was in because of emotional abuse from her own mother. No way in hell was she going to let another suffer through it.

“Why do you care?” Fluttershy sobbed out angrily, but Sunset shook her head.

“Because I know what it feels like.” Sunset said almost too low to hear, but Fluttershy did. Staring in surprise, Fluttershy finally took the offered hand and help to her feet. “I live alone now, but I’m willing to let you stay for tonight. Tomorrow we will talk more permanent solutions.”

“Thank you.” Fluttershy said softly.

“Don’t thank me, I don’t deserve it.” Sunset said bitterly knowing that Fluttershy would have several other choices if not for the fight the group of friends had. A fight Sunset knew very well was based on manipulations she herself had created.

Sunset briskly walked to the end of the alley, guiding Fluttershy by hand since she never let go. The girl did protest a little at first having to hurry to keep pace when she wasn’t prepared for the hurried pace. Thankfully she didn’t say anything when seeing one of Sunset’s pride and joys sitting where she left it parked. A red Lamborghini Aventador which did cost a lot of money, but she never regretted falling in love with the car at first sight.

“This is really yours?” Fluttershy squeaked out as they both settled in their seats, Sunset slipping on her seatbelt and groaning at the question.

“Yes, it’s really mine, now buckle up.” Sunset replied with an accompanied eye roll before revving the engine up. Thankfully Fluttershy quieted down as Sunset put the car in gear and pulled out. She couldn’t help grinning to herself as the unprepared motion pushed Fluttershy back in her seat as she fumbled with putting on the seatbelt. She couldn’t help feeling a little satisfaction that Fluttershy was having trouble with the seatbelt because of her sizeable bust, which Sunset refused to admit even to herself that she may be slightly jealous, until she saw the girl wince.

“Are you okay, should I take you to a hospital first?” Sunset asked feeling a little guilty from her attitude just seconds before. This was going to be a long night at this rate.

“I’m fine, I’ve had worse than this. I just need to stay away for a few days.” Fluttershy sighed as she turned to watch listlessly out the window actually getting Sunset to worry a little bit. There really wasn’t much she could say or do other than give the girl a roof over her head and keep her safe for the night until she figured out what to do in the morning. Maybe a quick call to her father to have him ‘speak’ with Fluttershy’s.

“You shouldn’t have anything like that from your own parents. It’s wrong and disgusting!” Sunset snapped out gripping the wheel tighter as she pulled into the parking garage of the most expensive apartment building in town. One that she technically owned, though she allowed the old staff to run it as long as they did their jobs. Of course she had her own entire floor dedicated to herself. Not that the entire floor was apartments, the old owner had an actual car lift to the top floor which required a special remote to operate. Only a quarter of the floor was her penthouse, another quarter was delegated to a pool with the other half having a yard with a small garden that didn’t have anything planted and picnic area with a grill.

There was a small area where her car lift stopped between her yard and the side entrance to the penthouse with a normal elevator not far from it that required a special key to use that led to the lobby. The entrance near the car was a normal door that led into a small room with a bench on one side and a coat rack on the other to hang her jacket and kick her boots off. Then there was a large common room with a small kitchen, everything being the best she could get while maintaining a sleek modern look. There were two pretty good sized bedrooms with a bathroom between, one of the bedrooms serving as a library slash study room slash office.

The furniture itself was black leather with the largest 4K entertainment system Sunset could get with shelving to either side filled with rows and rows of movies and games for the several consoles hidden in the entertainment system despite the fact that she didn’t play them often preferring watching a good movie or reading a good book. The only thing she was lacking really was a dinner table since she usually ate at the coffee table watching television or at her desk as she studied or used the computer.

There was even a sliding glass door that led out to the patio and pool from the common room which gave a nice view of the yard. Sadly that was the only gripe Sunset really had about the living space. There were walls on all four sides that were probably there for safety with small grates at the bottom to let water out, but it blocked the view unless you were seven feet tall. Thankfully there was a balcony with stairs leading up where a couple lounge chairs and tables sat where Sunset would sometimes sunbather or look out over the city being high enough to see over the walls.

“If your family can afford this then why do you go to CHS?” Fluttershy asked in awe as she followed Sunset inside the penthouse with unmistakable awe in her gaze and a hint of jealousy in her voice. Apparently she had already forgotten that Sunset lived on her own, but for once it didn’t anger the girl that something apparently went in one ear and right out the other.

She knew despite what some students said about Fluttershy behind her back, the girl was not a vapid airheaded bimbo. Sure the girl was hot, there was no denying that, but just because someone was good looking it didn’t make them mean or stupid. The only reason Fluttershy was doing so poorly in school was because she kept missing tests which Sunset was beginning to realize was likely due to her home life.

“As I stated earlier, I live alone, and my parents don’t pay for this. I do.” Sunset explained kicking her boots off and rubbing her feet as she sat on the bench. “Boots off, I don’t want crap on my carpet.”

“Sorry.” Fluttershy squeaked out.

“Don’t be, just boots off before going any farther. If you plan to go off the patio or pool area, feel free to grab a pair of the sandals outside the door. Don’t you dare track dirt in though.” Sunset explained, “And if you swim, make sure you take a towel with you and dry off before coming back in.”

“I will.” Fluttershy said, unsure why Sunset was telling her all of this. In all likelihood, she would only be spending the night before being kicked out though it was better than sleeping on the street. She wouldn’t sleep from being too scared if she was on the street and while she was nervous about Sunset’s intentions, it couldn’t be any worse than home or what could happen out there.

“Good, make yourself at home and I’ll order in. I don’t feel like cooking tonight.” Sunset said as she wondered who was at the lobby tonight. They would have to accept the food and let Sunset know it was ready when it arrived. For her part, Sunset wasn’t too sure why she cared about helping this girl so much. She knew the girl’s pony counterpart was one of Princess Celestia’s element bearers which were why Sunset had such a thing for making this particular group suffer so much through her manipulations and bullying.

“Can we have pizza.” Fluttershy asked, hope yet fear filling her voice.

“Yes, we can have pizza.” Sunset said with a roll of her eyes though a smile took over when she noticed the eager expression on Fluttershy’s face.

“You have to frickin be kidding me!” Sunset grumbled under her breath as a tic appeared in her eye. Standing in front of her blushing furiously was Fluttershy pulling at the hem of a shirt Sunset loaned her to sleep in for the night. Sunset wasn’t small in any regard when it came to her bust size, though she wasn’t huge either. And she surely wasn’t gigantic which was the only word Sunset could use to describe the extremely well endowed girl before her. Thanks to the larger volume of her bust, the shirt was riding up higher giving a teasing peak with every movement of her panties.

“I don’t mean to be a bother, but do you maybe have some shorts or a skirt I can borrow?” Fluttershy squeaked out while trying to avoid looking directly into Sunset’s eyes. A part of her wanted to lick her lips and deny the simple request, yet she just couldn’t do it. She couldn’t say no to the girl after already going through so much and now seemingly feeling humiliated standing before Sunset in such a state of dress. Maybe she shouldn’t have told the girl to come out of the bathroom after having a shower to prove that it wasn’t as bad as Fluttershy thought only to have it actually be worse.

“At least they should fit you. Sheesh, I’m surprised you don’t have a bad back.” Sunset grumbled heading back into her room, feeling a little jealous like most other girls in the locker room. The thought brought Sunset up short as she pulled out a pair of shorts with a drawstring for Fluttershy to easily adjust. The fear of everything made sense now, but Fluttershy also seemed scared or ashamed to dress or shower in front of the other girls. The realization made Sunset actually worry that there may be even more going on.

Hoping she was wrong Sunset tossed the girl the black shorts as she walked back out from her room to have Fluttershy barely catch them. Sunset had to admire the curves on the girl before her, she always had, but seeming them like this was just surreal and made her fight off any feelings she was feeling. Not that she was in love with the girl, but anyone attracted to girls would be feeling a huge amount of attraction with such a beauty dressed in such a way before them.

“Fluttershy, don’t get upset or take this the wrong way, but has anyone ever…well…touch you…like…” Sunset started to ask, making motions with her hand trying to get the right words out.

“NO! I mean no, never. I’m still...still…I’m still a virgin.” Fluttershy squeaked out looking as if she may meltdown at any second from the bright red now filling her cheeks as she clutched the shorts to her. Taking a deep breath she quickly slipped them on making Sunset turn her head all of a sudden. Well, it may have taken a few moments once she had a nice view down the top of Fluttershy’s borrowed top, but turn away she did.

“I kind of see why you act the way you do, with being abused like this.” Sunset sighed as she tried to cover up the fact that she just had a great view. She couldn’t help feeling a little perverted at the way things were going, or the traitorous feelings of her body, but she wasn’t a pervert. Nor was she the type to take advantage of somebody in Fluttershy’s situation despite hating every single person at the damned school. Sure she could have paid to gone to Crystal Prep, but if she did she couldn’t get revenge on those Celestia loved and prove that she was better.

“I get called things and I get hit, but I’ve never been touched that way.” Fluttershy said with a little more conviction in her voice this time. Sunset was still unsure if she should believe the claim seeing how Fluttershy was so shy about her body. It was easier to believe that things may have happened if she was being abused physically and emotionally. Being sexually abused wasn’t a far stretch with all things considered.

“Hold on, I think the pizza is here.” Sunset said as the landline started ringing. Usually if anyone was calling her they would use her cell as the only ones who ever used this phone were the few friends she had in the complex and the security. Picking up the handset she found out she was right before telling the guard to escort the delivery man up the elevator.

“That’s the pizza?” Fluttershy asked as a small rumble escaped her stomach at the thought of not only eating, but eating a guilty pleasure that Sunset ordered while Fluttershy was in the shower.

“Yeah, go ahead and grab a seat on the couch. Find something to watch if you want, I’ll be right back with the food.” Sunset said as she grabbed some money and left through the sliding glass door. A few minutes later she came back carrying several boxes and a few bags which she dropped on the coffee table before the couch noticing that the TV wasn’t on.

“Wow, you ordered a lot!” Fluttershy gasped seeing the spread of food before her.

“Well yeah, this will likely be dinner tomorrow night too.” Sunset said meaning that she intended to finish the leftovers then. Breakfast too most likely, but those details could be settled in the morning. She pulled out two black containers with clear plastic lids and handed each of them one along with a bottle of Pepsi from a six pack out of another bag. There were paper plates, plastic utensils and napkins in another bag while the boxes had bread sticks, cinnamon bites and a large pepperoni pizza. “Go ahead, help yourself.”

Fluttershy cracked open her plastic container finding a salad topped with roast chicken with a pack of ranch dressing inside which she eagerly drowned the poor salad in before taking a bite as Sunset pulled a slice of pizza from the box that held it. Fluttershy soon took a couple slices herself as the two enjoyed their meal in silence for a few minutes before Fluttershy finally broke the silence.

“Sunset, I really meant it when I said nobody has ever touched me like that.” Fluttershy sighed.

“Why are you so afraid in the locker room then? I mean if I had your body I’d proudly be showing it off in front of the other girls there.” Sunset said after washing down her food with a swig of soda. Sunset wanted to smack herself at first as she said that out loud realizing that Fluttershy wasn’t her, and while she was scared from her home life she still had a shy personality. Of course she wouldn’t want to flaunt anything like Sunset would, not that Sunset was a slut by any means. Yeah she experimented, mostly with a friend from the building who was female also since she couldn’t really get into guys which she found out while dating Flash.

“I just don’t like the other girls looking.” Fluttershy admitted, fidgeting with a guilty look in her eyes letting Sunset knew it was something other than just being shy which meant she was lying about being touched or she thought someone there liked girls and Fluttershy didn’t like it.

“So, you are afraid one of the girls would like what they see a little too much?” Sunset asked unable to keep a little anger from bubbling up making Fluttershy wince before starting to cry. If you have something against them, you are in the wrong place honey!

“I’m confused, okay!? I like guys! I like girls! I don’t know what kind of freak I am, okay!? You want to use that to blackmail me then go ahead! You probably already collected enough to make me even more of an outcast than I already am!” Fluttershy screamed out at Sunset through her tears making Sunset cringe.

“I’m not going to tell anyone anything about what you tell me here.” Sunset said softly as she moved closer to Fluttershy. At first the girl fought and struggled, but eventually gave in and crumpled into Sunset’s embrace while the girl rubbed her back. She couldn’t help feeling a twinge of guilt at the accusations that under any other circumstance would have been true. “I promise I won’t tell anyone, and you aren’t a freak.”

“Daddy says I am, he says I’m some kind of sick freak.” Fluttershy sobs as Sunset tried her best to console the poor girl.

“If that man treats you like this, then he is no father Fluttershy. There is nothing wrong with liking both guys and girls, it is just a part of who you are.” Sunset whispered into Fluttershy’s ear trying her best to ignore the feel of the girl’s body pressing into her own. Damn it, somebody was laughing their asses off at her, Sunset just knew it.

After a few minutes of comforting the girl, Fluttershy finally pulled back and looked up at Sunset saying a quiet, “Thank you.”

“You are very welcome.” Sunset said feeling a little uncomfortable as she continued squashing down her more hormone driven instincts that kept screaming to kiss the girl. She was happy for some reason though as she saw a weight seemed to be lifted from Fluttershy as the girl’s eyes seemed just a little brighter. “Now let’s finish dinner before it gets cold.”

After dinner Sunset put the leftovers in the fridge as she watched Fluttershy play with the remote looking through Sunset’s different streaming services for something to watch. She couldn’t believe Fluttershy ate as much as she did and still looked like she did, though Sunset had a feeling all of the fat likely went to the girl’s chest which would make sense. Thinking of that though made Sunset want to smack herself as images of Fluttershy invaded her mind again, especially images of the girl still a little damp with the shirt clinging to her the way it had at first. Deciding retreating now would be the best thing for the both of them since Sunset was finding it harder and harder not to say or do anything after finding out Fluttershy was a virgin and in a lot of emotional pain. It was wrong to take advantage of her vulnerable state for a night of passion, and it was double wrong to take the girl’s first time when Sunset knew the girl deserved something and someone special for the first time.

“Damn I’m going soft.” Sunset grumbled, thankful that in the morning they would figure something out and get Fluttershy out of her hair. After getting blankets and a pillow for a makeshift bed on the couch for Fluttershy, Sunset bade the girl a good night and headed to her room for hopefully a peaceful night. Something she very much doubted with the way she was feeling and the dreams that may possibly happen.

“Damn it.” Sunset groaned as she lay in bed looking up at the ceiling in the darkened room. “Damn it, damn it, damn it!”

Saturday

View Online

Sunset yawned as she trudged out of bed, rubbing her eyes as her body moved very sloth like while grabbing a change of clothes for the day. She couldn’t make sense of her dreams, unable to really remember them despite having the feeling that they were very good and very worth remembering. Like most mornings though her brain didn’t work until she had a nice shower or long morning soak. It didn’t matter which to her, just as long as she could enjoy either. It was why she always got up this early, no matter if it was a weekday or weekend. And today being Saturday meant she could take her time with it.

Idiot, aren’t you forgetting something? Sunset’s inner voice asked herself, though for the life of her she just couldn’t remember what. She was more interested in her dreams that were slowly starting to come back to her. There was something big and soft yet what it was exactly just wouldn’t come to her.

Trudging through her door to the bathroom, she couldn’t help noticing the light shining out from under the door. Not that she was worried about the electric bill or anything, but it must have been the thing she had forgotten. Opening the door she froze seeing a naked Fluttershy holding a towel that she was using to dry off. Their eyes locked and for what seemed like an eternity neither of them moved. At least until Sunset’s eyes started drifting down, saying the first thing that came to her still barely functioning dream. “Hmmm, they’re actually bigger than in my dream.”

“AAAAIIIEEEEEEEEEEE!” Fluttershy cried out in humiliation and embarrassment waking Sunset up even more making the girl finally back out of the room giving apology after apology before slamming the door shut and slumping against the wall next to the door. All of her dreams from the previous night came rushing back making her blush even more than she was sure Fluttershy was.

“Damn!” Sunset groaned out, realizing that while what she said was pretty stupid and insensitive, it was the truth. “Damn, damn, damn!”

It was at least a full hour later when the two sat on the couch, Fluttershy fidgeting nervously while Sunset sat at the far end tapping furiously on the screen of her tablet. Fluttershy’s eyes were glued on the TV screen while some cartoon about a rabbit was playing that Sunset really didn’t care about. She had promised the shy girl that she would take Fluttershy out for breakfast soon as an apology for walking in on her. Thankfully she understood that it was all a huge misunderstanding while seeming not to have heard Sunset’s remark. And if she did hear it, she wasn’t bringing it up.

“As I thought, if you have a sponsor and file for emancipation or for a request for protection, you can legally stay on your own unless you have other family that is willing to take you in.” Sunset explained as she read from her tablet.

“I can’t, my parents are all I have and my dad knows too many people to block it and I would need somebody with a lot of money willing to sponsor me, or get a full time job.” Fluttershy explained, turning the television off. “Plus, I really don’t want the whole school to find out what has been going on."

“Well, I have my own connections if it comes down to it.” Sunset said, knowing full well that she could take care of this clown that thought it was a good idea to abuse Fluttershy like this. “What about your job at the shelter?”

“It’s volunteer work to help me get into a good college to be a vet.” Fluttershy sighed, Sunset already knowing what was wrong. Fluttershy’s GPA had taken a sharp drop this last year and while Sunset may have been partially responsible for that, her bastard father was probably the main reason.

“Okay, so for now you need a place to crash until we can figure something out about your dad.” Sunset said, tapping through more screens furiously sending instructions to the buildings security including a picture of Fluttershy she took with the tablet without the girl knowing. “So first breakfast, then we need to get you some clothes.”

“I really don’t want to go home.” Fluttershy admitted, playing with her bra strap through her regular top.

“Why do you keep messing with your bra like that?” Sunset asked, genuinely curious.

“Because the straps keep digging into my shoulders.” Fluttershy complained, though a hint of red tinting her cheeks showed just how embarrassed the girl was over it.

Well, if she was embarrassed now, just wait until after breakfast. Sunset told herself.

You are truly evil. Her inner voice mocked, though with a hint of humor added to it’s normal chiding tone.

“We will take care of that first thing after breakfast. So, want a full breakfast or just a coffee and donut?” Sunset asked, already knowing what the answer would be.

“Something cheap would be fine. It was just an accident, right?” Fluttershy asked, though it sounded as if she wasn’t really happy with the choice.

“Are you sure? I mean we can get pancakes, or waffles. Even a sausage, egg and cheese bagel. Can’t you just taste it now, all that yummy goodness?” Sunset teased, making Fluttershy’s mouth water and stars dance in her eyes. “Okay, full breakfast it is.”

“Your going to make me fat at this rate.” Fluttershy whines, though visibly excited about the prospect of a good breakfast.

“Fluttershy, I have a feeling you don’t have to worry about that too much.” Sunset said shaking her head in amusement.

It was around noon when the two finally sat down in the food court with food from each of their choice before them. Sunset had brought them to her favorite mall outside of Canterlot City limits where she was less likely to run into any classmates. She couldn’t help smirking a little at the fact that Fluttershy was still blushing from their trip to the lingerie store. It was hard to believe that Fluttershy hadn’t been professionally measured for so long and the results proved Sunset right. Fluttershy needed a larger bra which Sunset had bought for Fluttershy in several styles to go with the different types of outfits that Sunset had also purchased for the girl.

She may have gone a little overboard since both was loaded down with bags all for Fluttershy, but something just seemed to take over when they started shopping. A part of Sunset was loathed to admit it, but she actually had fun with the other girl and enjoyed hanging out with her. And she was pretty sure that Fluttershy felt the same except for the whole measuring debacle and the amount spent. Hopefully it was a good sign that the things she had planned would be well received. Even if they weren’t, Sunset had been meaning to make some changes anyways.

“I can’t believe you bought all of this stuff.” Groaned Fluttershy as she leaned back in her seat, full from the burritos from the Taco stand while Sunset had an order of lasagna from the pasta stand. “When did we get all of this? I can’t pay you back for all of this.”

“There isn’t any need for you to pay me back, but I’ve noticed you haven’t been fidgeting with your bra strap anymore.” Sunset said, smirking at the sputtering girl. “Sorry, sorry, I won’t bring that up again. At least for now, but we still need to figure out where you are going to stay.”

“I need to go home sooner or later, but I really don’t want to. It’s getting worse and I’m actually scared being around my dad anymore.” Fluttershy sighed, “He acts like he is some big shot just because he knows Sombra and bullies everyone around him since they are afraid of what will happen.”

“So your dad knows Sombra and people are afraid of him?” Sunset asked with a devilish smirk.

“This isn’t funny Sunset, Sombra is a monster!” Fluttershy gasped out as she looked all around her as if afraid saying the man’s name would invoke his wrath. “Do you even know who Sombra is?”

“Oh, I know exactly who he is and I’m not afraid of him. If that is all you are worried about, leave Sombra and your father to me.” Sunset said, trying her best not to laugh at the comically wide eyed gaze the girl was giving her. “Forget about Sombra for now, we need to worry about where you will be living for now if you are really set against going home. If I can find you a place, would you be willing to stay there no questions asked?”

“As long as it’s safe I guess.” Fluttershy said, a look of dejection crossing her features momentarily before smiling back up at Sunset. “Thank you for everything, I have no idea how to repay you. You know, you are a lot different from how you act at school.”

“I have my reasons, though I may be starting to question just how good they are.” Sunset answered as cryptically as she could. Oh she still hated both versions of Celestia, and wanted to hurt the things she loved to make her feel the pain the nag had caused Sunset. She didn’t intend to change her plans, not just because she had a good day with one of the girls who she seen as an enemy. Yet that so called enemy was the first girl her age she actually enjoyed being around, and not just because she found Fluttershy hot. She didn’t want to admit it, but she was beginning to feel that they may have a small chance of becoming friends.

“Well, if you need someone to talk to, it would be the least I can do.” Fluttershy said as Sunset started gathering their trash before getting up to dump it.

“I’ll keep that in mind, let’s go home for now.” Sunset said, grabbing her share of bags.

“I guess.” Fluttershy sighed, following Sunset with her own load.

It didn’t take them long to get back to Sunset’s place after spending the better part of the day shopping. Both of them were happy when they stepped into the penthouse and kicked off their shoes only for Fluttershy to pause as she tried to figure out what to do with all of her new stuff.

“Let’s put them in my study for now.” Sunset said as she motioned for Fluttershy to go ahead of her. As the girl opened the door to the room though she dropped her bags in shock, covering her mouth as she looked back at Sunset with watery eyes. The room had changed from a simple study to a pink themed bedroom with a huge princess bed, desk with computer and a dresser.

“What is this?” Fluttershy gasped out.

“There’s a furniture store not far from here, I just had my friends in security here pick up some stuff while we were out and set it up. To be honest they did a better job than I thought they would.” Sunset explained while giving a whistle of appreciation before turning to Fluttershy with a serious expression. “This is your room for as long as you want it, but besides the rules I have already mentioned there are a few new ones if you want to stay here.”

“What are they?” Fluttershy asked excitedly.

“First and foremost, you are not to speak about this arrangement to anyone at school. As far as everyone at school is concerned, I am the bully and you are the bullied. Anything I say to you at school to maintain that image is just that, a cover to maintain my image. I will try not to do anything, but if I do, I won’t mean it. Second, do not tell anyone or bring anyone from school here. Not a single soul. Got it?” Sunset asked, watching as Fluttershy thought about everything before she nodded in acceptance. “Good, and finally, I want you to leave dealing with your father to me. I know you don’t want anything going to court or somewhere that the school may find out about it, so don’t worry, I will be discrete and nobody will find out.”

“Why are you doing this, Sunset?” Fluttershy asked, crying as she looked between happy and heartbroken.

“Because I can’t stand to see such a pretty girl cry.” Sunset said hugging Fluttershy who blushed at the statement. “Seriously though, if there is one thing that I despise, it is someone who hurts their own children. And after getting to know you, I swear I will hunt you to the ends of the earth if you repeat this, but I might actually like you. You are like the only girl my age I feel I can be friends with right now.”

Sure she had some friends, most of them older or younger, but nobody in her grade. And surely not somebody as smart as she knew Fluttershy to be

“Thank you.” Fluttershy sniffed as she pulled back.

“One last thing, you must start making sure you get to school every day and no more skipping. I have a feeling your father may have been the cause of it before, but now, you have me to look out for you and I will not be friends with a slacker or quitter. You want to be a vet, then you damned well better be ready to work that ass off for it.” Sunset Shimmer declared, “Sunset Shimmer does not back losers, Fluttershy, and you are no loser so don’t make me regret taking this chance.”

“I won’t make you regret it, I promise!” Fluttershy squealed launching herself to hug Sunset tightly. Sunset couldn’t help enjoying the feeling of certain parts of Fluttershy rubbing up against her.

Damn it, I am becoming a pervert! Sunset and her inner voice both bemoaned though they didn’t exactly fight the welcomed hug either.

“Sunset, I can’t let you keep buying this stuff for me.” Fluttershy whined as she followed Sunset through the same mall they had been at the day before. Sunset was a little annoyed at having to make the trip a second time in two days, and Fluttershy’s protests were starting to get on her nerves.

“Shy, you need a phone. If you told me you didn’t have one earlier, I would have picked it up yesterday.” Sunset sighed as she headed to her favorite shop to get a second line added to her account and a new handset for Fluttershy. “I need to be able to contact you in an emergency, or you if you need to contact me.”

“Sunset, I…” Fluttershy started, wincing when Sunset cut her off in a more stern voice.

“There will be no ifs, ands or buts. You are getting a phone than that is final.” Sunset huffed, stopping to look Fluttershy in the eyes trying not to listen to her inner voice asking, What about Fluttershy’s Butt?

“I don’t want to seem greedy or make it seem like I’m taking advantage of your kindness.” Fluttershy sighed making Sunset snort in amusement. Kindness? That was Fluttershy’s gig, not hers.

“You aren’t greedy. Look at it this way; you are staying under my roof so I need a way to keep track of you if something comes up. This is more for me than for you, so just go with it, okay?”

“I guess.” Fluttershy conceded, making Sunset smirk.

“Good, now come on, I want to get this done before lunch so we can enjoy the afternoon.” Sunset said, noticing a man looking at the two of them while trying to seem inconspicuous. The woman with him made her relax since she worked for Sunset’s somewhat father. Probably just checking up on her because of all the spending the day before to make sure something didn’t seem wrong.

Shoving the thoughts away, she led Fluttershy into the store where they spent the next half hour looking through phones. At first Fluttershy insisted on getting the cheapest one, but Sunset finally got that out of her head to pick one of the best quality ones there as well as a case, some accessories and a large gift card so she could get some stuff from the phone’s digital store. Of course it wasn’t the most expensive phone which helped settle Fluttershy’s worries a little, but Sunset herself wouldn’t have the most expensive one. The whole company sold over priced, substandard electronics that was only popular because of the name backing them.

Instead of eating in the food court, they decided to stop at the grocery store and pick up some groceries and cook at home. It would be their first fully home cooked meal together. Something that Sunset hated to admit she was looking forward to, a nice meal at home which she had been having less and less of lately. Now with her new roommate staying with her she had more of a reason to take the time and prepare a meal.

As the two left the mall and was walking through the parking lot, the man Sunset had spotted earlier stepped out from between several cars blocking their path. He worse a dark suit that seemed just a bit too big on him and was kind of messy looking. The short dark hair and nasty grin sent a shiver down Sunset’s back as she realized he was pulling a gun. Surely he wasn’t stupid enough to pull anything out in public like this.

“Your dad is looking for you Fluttershy, and your little girlfriend will be coming along.” The man said making Sunset actually start to worry as a van pulled up behind them, its side door to their backs sliding open as the man motioned for the two girls to get in.

“Please, I’ll go, but let Sunset leave.” Fluttershy cried, shocking Sunset a little. Was Fluttershy really sticking her neck out to try and keep Sunset out of trouble? She wasn’t sure, but she couldn’t help feeling touched by the gesture.

“No can do girl, just got off the phone with your dad. He wants to have a word with your little slut friend too. He’s waiting for us in Sombra’s office.” The man sneered.

Sunset took Fluttershy’s hand and squeezed it as they settled in the back seat as the door closed behind them. The driver looked like a clone of the guy they ran into in the parking lot who was now climbing into the passenger’s seat. The sneer they were giving the two through the mirror made Sunset puff up protectively while Fluttershy was shaking and mumbling out apology after apology.

“It will be okay, Shy, just watch and see.” Sunset said confidently as the van sped off only to pull into a large office building minutes later. Sunset and Fluttershy was ushered quickly through the lobby and up the elevator to one of the highest offices where the two men shoved Sunset and Fluttershy roughly through the doors.

“Look who we found Zeph, a couple of little rug munchers.” One of the, what Sunset could only assume, twins chuckled earning a grin from a lanky man with a pale blue suit and long, pink hair. The site almost made Sunset snort in amusement if he was who she thought he was. Honestly for a guy who seemed to be a huge homophobe, he sure looked as if he was batting for the other team.

“Thank you for calling me, Chrysalis.” The man sitting behind the desk said with a nod to the woman standing next to him before rising to walk around the desk to stand just steps away from Sunset with a serious look on his face before smiling at her. “So, do you have anything you want to say?”

“Hi, Daddy!” Sunset exclaimed wrapping her arms around him in a hug getting several gasps from the occupants from the room and the dark skinned woman only grinned evilly at the twins and the man that was called Zeph.

“Hello pumpkin.” Sombra said, pulling away from Sunset and fixing his immaculate suit before moving to stand in front of Fluttershy tilting her head with a forefinger under her chin so she was looking straight up at him. It was clear he was studying the concealer Fluttershy used to try and hide her black eye. “So tell me girl, who is responsible for this? Was it your father?”

“What the hell is the meaning of this?” Zeph demanded as Sombra stepped away from Fluttershy and stopped in front of him. Sombra was a large, muscular man with an air of intimidation and he easily towered over Zeph’s lanky form.

“Tell me Zeph, what is my number one rule?” Sombra asked, glaring at the man who was now sweating bullets as he tried to form an answer.

“No selling drugs, sir.” Zeph finally managed to say.

“Wrong!” Sombra said backhanding Zeph so hard he went flying before landing in a crumpled heap on the floor. The tooth that flew even farther left a small trail of blood in its wake. Sunset took Fluttershy’s hand again squeezing in what she hoped was comforting to the obviously frightened girl. This wasn’t how Sunset really wanted to do this; she wanted to keep Fluttershy out of dealing with this trash. Sometimes plans just don’t work out though.

“Now that he had coming.” Chrysalis said earning a quick nod of agreement from Sunset.

“My number one rule is no harm is ever to come to children. You see, I was already pissed off with you because of all of your hate speech about those like my daughter over there. She likes girls, and you know what, I couldn’t be prouder. She may not be my flesh and blood, but I am still her father and I will do anything to protect her and anyone close to her. And even if this young woman wasn’t close to my daughter, this would still be happening because there are two types of people that I truly hate. Drug dealers and child abusers.” Sombra snarled grabbing a handful of Zeph’s hair as he kneeled down next to him to force the man to look him in the face. “If I ever hear that you even looked at my daughter or her friends again, if you ever get within a hundred yards of them, I will kill you myself. Do you understand me?”

“Yes sir.” Zeph choked out before Sombra pushed his head away while standing up.

“You two idiots get this garbage out of my office and the next time I see you, you better have read those materials I gave you. If Chrysalis didn’t rein you in and called me, there wouldn’t be a place on this world that you would have been able use to escape my wrath.

“Yes sir, sorry sir!” The two men barked, staring at Sombra and Sunset in a weird sort of combination of relief and horror as they dragged Zeph out of the room.

“Chrysalis, make sure that the young woman here is able to collect her things and safely escort her to Sunset’s penthouse. If that idiot shows up and tried to stir up trouble, shot his kneecap. If that doesn’t shut him up then shot the other.” Sombra ordered the woman who smiled at him, kissed his cheek and moved to be in front of the pair of girls. “Sunset, I would like to have a talk with you.”

“Come on dear, I won’t bite. Well, unless you ask me to.” Chrysalis said offering her hand to Fluttershy who looked on the verge of freaking out.

“It’s okay, I trust her with my life and she will take good care of you. There’s no one I would trust looking out for you more than I would her.” Sunset whispered to Fluttershy, “Besides, you have your new phone so you can call me if you need anything.”

Sunset almost gave in and protested being separated after Fluttershy gave her a scared, pleading look before steeling herself. “Will you be okay?”

“Shy, Sombra would never hurt me. In case you haven’t realized it, he’s kind of my dad. I’ll explain tonight.” Sunset said, hugging the girl who seemed to take some comfort from the action. She watched as Fluttershy followed Chrysalis from the room, giving one last look to Sunset before leaving.

“So, how have things been going with you and that school?” Sombra asked, in a tone letting Sunset know just how much he hated it. Unlike Sunset, he only hated it because of one person and wouldn’t take his pain and anger out on others because of it. He didn’t like the fact that Sunset bullied the students, but he both understood and accepted it, though he always tried to get her to stop and transfer to Crystal Prep and get over her hatred.

“Fine I guess.” Sunset sighed as Sombra gently guided Sunset to a chair before his desk with a hand on her back. After she was seated, he went around the desk to take his chair. Sunset couldn’t help noticing the picture on the edge that had a six year old her riding a tricycle. Only that wasn’t her, it was Sombra’s real daughter before she was killed setting Sombra on the path he was on now.

The funny thing was, from the stories Chrysalis had told her, this man was once the gentlest man you would ever meet. His wife at the time though was going up against the local mob boss’s wife for the position of principal. Despite the threats his wife refused to back down, even after a threat of something happening to their daughter. Sombra had tried time and again to get his wife to just let it go before something happened, yet she refused claiming that it was just intimidation tactics and refused to back down. It had cost the couple their only daughter as the child was shot numerous times in a drive by shooting as she played on the street. Sombra blamed his wife, blamed Celestia for everything and went on a rampage with his sister in law Chrysalis and best friend Discord and killed Tirek and his wife and direct underlings before taking his place ruling over the syndicate. The big difference was that he did so much actual good for the city despite what others may think. Sure he has killed, but to Sunset, those people had it coming as he only killed the ones who truly deserved it and had zero chance of redeeming themselves.

“Somehow I doubt that it is just fine.” Sombra chuckled, “Unless I remember wrong, Miss Fluttershy is one of those, what were they again, element bearers that you wanted to keep apart.”

“What was I supposed to do, leave her to that bastard?” Sunset asked, feeling a little confused at the smirk Sombra was giving her.

“I know you aren’t my Sunset, but you are in so many ways. I meant what I said, I’m proud of you. And I’ll always be here if you need me.” Sombra said, the sadness that he only showed Discord, Chrysalis and Sunset herself showing through. There was a love and proud look shining in those eyes too, a look that Sunset wasn’t sure she deserved or wanted at times. She prided herself on doing everything for herself since arriving in this world except a few things she just couldn’t do on her own. Yet she knew if it wasn’t for this man, she would probably be dead, and she was thankful to him for it. She even loved him like a father despite the questions it rose about who her real father was. King Sombra was sealed away for centuries before Sunset’s birth, yet looking at the picture on the desk, the two looked the same.

“I know Daddy.” Sunset said, making sure to use the term Daddy. It was what the young Sunset called Sombra, and despite knowing they were two different girls, he always lit up when she called him that. And despite how much she liked to deny it, it gave her a warm feeling to. It felt as if she really had a parent that loved and wanted her unlike her own mother. “Thank you, you have no idea what that means to me.”

“Sunset, I’m more than willing to pay for both of you to attend Crystal Prep if you change your mind. That woman isn’t your mother at Canterlot High, she isn’t your problem.” Sombra said, hoping that Sunset would accept. She couldn’t though, the portal would be opening in a few short months and she intended to get the element of magic since it should have been hers anyways. She would show that nag that she deserved it more than Twilight Freaking Sparkle.

“I know daddy, I’ll talk to Fluttershy and if she decides to, we will both transfer.” Sunset said earning a smile from Sombra.

“Good, and I’m glad you found someone. Not that I blame you, she is the looker, isn’t she?” Sombra said in a teasing tone.

It was late in the afternoon when Sunset arrived back at the penthouse to find Fluttershy and Chrysalis on the couch laughing at some cartoon playing on the TV. There were only a few boxes with the cutest, most realistic stuffed bunny on Fluttershy’s lap. When it turned to her, Sunset couldn’t help the twitch above her eye.

“Hell. No.” Sunset said crossing her arms as she glared at the animal who only glared back.

“Welcome home, Sunset.” Chrysalis said with a huge smirk.

“Hi Sunset, this is Angel Bunny. I thought my dad…but look, he’s alive!” Fluttershy said happily as she hugged the thing to her chest earning an even more intense glare from the bunny.

“I don’t want that filthy thing in my home. Damned rodent.” Sunset growled out making Fluttershy shrink back for a moment before Chrysalis cleared her throat seeming to give Fluttershy courage.

“Please! He’s really smart and clean. I promise he won’t be any trouble.” Fluttershy begged, Sunset fighting hard not to give in to her pleas.

“No.” Sunset said firmly.

“Please!” Fluttershy begged, her eyes seeming to get larger and watery as she leaned forward showing that she was wearing a different top, a v-cut top that was showing a generous amount of cleavage. She wasn’t sure what done her in, that look or that cleavage, but in the end she just wasn’t strong enough.

“Fine!” Sunset groaned, “But you cross any lines rabbit and I’ll make a damned stew out of you!”

“Yay, thank you!” Fluttershy cried out as she passed the animal to Chrysalis before hugging Sunset tightly making it almost worth it to let the filthy beast in her home.

“Don’t mention it.” Sunset said as she glared at Chrysalis over Fluttershy’s shoulder while mouthing the words, “I’ll get you for this!”

All the while in Sunset’s mind, she kept cursing saying, Damn it! Damn it, damn it, damn it!

Groggily Sunset opened her eyes as she felt a weight on her bed that she knew shouldn’t be there. Being the heavy sleeper meant that it took several moments to even realize that the weight belonged to a person crawling up her bed from the foot in a slow crawl. Jerking fully awake she sat up looking to see Fluttershy clad in a lacy nightgown that did little to hide her assets crawling seductively toward her. She wondered if the girl normally dressed in something like that to sleep since Sunset knew for a fact that she didn’t buy something like that for Sunset.

“What the hell are you doing?” Sunset gasped making Fluttershy stop her progress and sit back with her legs folded under her on the bed hugging herself while trying to avoid looking directly in Sunset’s eyes.

“I’m trying to give you what you want. It’s why you’ve done all this for me, isn’t it?” Fluttershy asked, sounding unsure and a little scared. “What you’ve been dreaming about?”

“Where the hell did you come up with something like that?” Sunset demanded angrily making Fluttershy flinch a little.

“Well, you like girls don’t you? And after what Chrysalis bought this for me telling me to give you a good night, it kind of makes sense.” Fluttershy sighed, finally looking up to Sunset. “She said that she was happy that you picked up a girl like me.”

“Damn it!” Sunset groaned, not sure who she was more angry at. On the one hand, Chrysalis crossed a line with this one. Sure she was used to the woman’s teasing and attempts to get Sunset ‘laid’ to get her to relax more. She wasn’t going to tell them woman that she had already done so knowing that it would only open a whole other can of worms. On the other hand, how the hell could Fluttershy even think Sunset was only helping her in order to bed her?

Maybe because up until now you treated her like crap?

“Please say something.” Fluttershy finally whimpered, as she started to cry a little. If not for this stunt blindsiding her, Sunset would have likely tried to soothe the girl. She was just too angry to do so at the moment, and the worst part of it was she had three different people she could blame including herself.

“I’m going out.” Sunset said in a tired voice as she crawled out of bed and started pulling a skirt on.

“Sunset, please talk to me.” Fluttershy pleaded, crying as she climbed from the bed also following Sunset as she stormed from the bedroom clenching and unclenching her fist while ignoring the frantic girl.

“There is nothing to talk about. When I get back I expect you to have this stupid idea out of that head of yours.” Sunset snarled, almost to her jacket when Fluttershy crashed into her back clutching her shirt. Her forehead was in Sunset’s back as she cried, saying she was sorry over and over. Sunset couldn’t deny that the feelings caused by certain things pressing into her back felt good and she was having a hard time staying angry at the crying girl. She was too afraid to stay there though since Fluttershy might have well been naked in what she was wearing and it was taking all of her self-control not to give in and take what was being offered.

“Please don’t leave me!” Fluttershy sobbed out making Sunset slump, finally getting control over her anger.

“I’m not leaving you Fluttershy, I just need some fresh air.” Sunset claimed, trying to at least not turn around and look at the other girl. “Do you really think I’d do all this just to sleep with you?”

“I don’t want to, but I’d rather get it over with if you did. I like you, I wouldn’t mind being with you like that if-“ Fluttershy sniffed making Sunset clench a fist. She has every right to have doubts after the way you have treated her before.

“Just stop it, okay? I won’t lie, Fluttershy. I’m attracted to you, I mean yes I think you are hot. It doesn’t mean I want to take advantage of you.” Sunset said, shaking a little feeling slightly hurt and betrayed that Fluttershy would even really come to this conclusion. She had to agree with her inner voice though pointing out that a few days of kindness doesn’t erase possibly years of bullying. And the way she admitted that she had been letting her mind wander, she would be surprised if Fluttershy didn’t notice the looks.

“I didn’t mean to upset you; I was just trying to do something for you.” Fluttershy sniffled. “I didn’t know it would upset you.”

“Look Fluttershy, you said you were a virgin, right?” Sunset sighed as she finally turned around to look Fluttershy in the eyes as the girl slowly nodded while wiping tears away. “Then don’t throw that away just trying to give me something you think I want, because that isn’t what I want. Your first time should be something special with the person you love.”

“I’m sorry.” Fluttershy sniffed, trying to look away though Sunset prevented her by cupping her cheeks.

“Fluttershy, never think you owe your body to anyone because they did something nice for you. Don’t sell yourself short, you are a kind, gentle soul which is very special and I don’t want to see it get hurt any more than it already has been. Okay?” Sunset said, pushing the hurt and anger back trying to see it from Fluttershy’s point of view. Admittedly she wasn’t the best at doing that, but there was something about Fluttershy that Sunset had come to care for. Something she felt an intense desire to protect.

“Okay.” Fluttershy squeaked, “But what if I think you were special?”

“Shy, we both know that you have been through a lot. Don’t confuse appreciation for love.” Sunset said shaking her head. She knew she didn’t love the girl, sure she lusted for her, but that was it besides possible friendship. Leaning in to kiss Fluttershy’s forehead, Sunset gave the girl a reassuring smile. “I’m sorry I got angry with you, okay? I know I have done a lot to you in the past, but I want to make that up to you. For now though, go to bed and get some sleep. We have school in the morni-today. Damn, it’s already two?”

“I’m sorry, Sunset.” Futtershy sniffed.

“It’s okay, now get to bed.” Sunset urged before walking past the girl and stood in the doorway of her room. On the middle of her bed was the damned rabbit glaring at her making Sunset glare in return. In the moment it took her to blink, the animal had thrown a pillow and managed to hit Sunset in the face.

“You are so asking for it rabbit!” Sunset hissed, holding the pillow as she glared at the rabbit who stuck its tongue out at her. Just before she dove after the thing though Fluttershy called for it making the thing hop from the bed and out of the room.

She wasn’t sure what to feel right then though, she wasn’t too happy with the stupid rabbit being there to begin with. Then Fluttershy pulling that stunt, most likely driven to it by Chrysalis which Fluttershy already pretty much admitted to. Then there was the fact that no matter how she wanted to deny it, Fluttershy had every right to be looking for an ulterior motive. Then to be outed by her father like that, Sunset was sure she may have come to a similar conclusion if in Fluttershy’s shoes. The only good thing about the situation was seeing Fluttershy in that night gown that the image had seared deep into her mind.

“Damn it, I need a cold shower.” Sunset huffed, the image of Fluttershy crawling towards her running through her mind. “Damn it! Damn it, damn it, damn it!”

It was hours later when Sunset was finished up some pancakes when Fluttershy came stumbling in dressed in a sleep shirt and a pair of shorts looking as if she was half dead. A part of Sunset couldn’t help feeling a little glad to see that Fluttershy must have had a sleepless night like Sunset herself after the stunt the girl pulled.

“How about we call off school today?” Fluttershy mumbled as she accepted the plate of food and a glass of orange juice and slowly made her way to the couch with Sunset following. They sat at a distance from each other, both feeling a little awkward.

“Hell no, you know the rules Shy. No more ditching classes, you are the one who decided to pull that stunt last night. While I may be sympathetic, there will be consequences.” Sunset said sternly as she dug into her own breakfast.

“Do you hate me?” Fluttershy asked softly.

“No, I don’t hate you.” Sunset sighed, shaking her head.

“Then will you, will you go out with me?” Fluttershy asked making Sunset freeze in shock, almost dropping her fork from he now numb fingers. Where the hell had that come from?

“I’m sorry, I think I misheard you.” Sunset said as she looked into Fluttershy’s nervous gaze.

“Would you be willing to date me?” Fluttershy repeated getting Sunset to shake her head in bewilderment. Chewing on her lip Sunset studied the girl and had to admit that she did have fun with her and she would be a complete idiot to say no to the proposal. Then again she doubted Fluttershy knew what she was asking. The whole idea was ludicrous at best. Who the hell would want to date her?

“Look Fluttershy, it isn’t that I’m not flattered, but I don’t even know if I can love someone.” Sunset sighed. It was a lie; she did love the girl who she dated here in the building before the fact that Sunset was younger caused a breakup. It had hurt a lot really, but Sunset understood. “Besides, can you really say you like me like that? We’ve only spent the weekend together after I bullied you for so long.”

“I think I do, but that’s what dating is about, right? Finding out?” Fluttershy asked, playing with her own food as she sopped up syrup with a big forkful of pancake.

“Fluttershy, I just don’t think that’s a good idea. Just because we both like girls doesn’t mean we have to be together. There are plenty of other girls out there for you that are better than me.” Sunset said, wanting to kick herself. When the hell did she become so noble, or was it that she really didn’t want to date someone she looked down on not so long ago. Or was there even a real reason not to at least give it a chance?

“I don’t want other girls.” Fluttershy mumbled making Sunset sigh in relief.

“I’ll tell you what, give it a few days and if I feel you truly want to date still, then I will take you to the movies this weekend. If I don’t feel like it goes well, you will drop this whole thing. Okay?”

“Thank you Sunset!” Fluttershy squealed out hugging Sunset in a hug, “You won’t regret this!”

Sunset watched Fluttershy all of a sudden come up with the energy to bounce over to the dishwasher then to the bathroom to take a shower. Shaking her head ruefully, Sunset turned back to her food to find the rabbit sitting across from her. When he was sure that he had Sunset’s attention, it pointed a paw to it’s eye then to Sunset, repeating a couple times before hopping off making her wonder just where the hell Fluttershy got the thing from. It couldn’t have been normal.

As Sunset and Fluttershy was going toward the car life, Sunset walked past the car to the back of the lift to a door Fluttershy didn’t notice before. Using a key to open it up revealed a flight of stairs which made Fluttershy curious.

“Aren’t we taking your car?” Fluttershy asked curious.

“I refuse to take my baby to that dump and risk getting it scratched up. I have an older car or bike for that depending on my mood.” Sunset said leading them down one level before unlocking the door and letting them out in the parking garage. ”Since only half of the top floor has apartments and the other half is used for storage, I have the extra garages.”

Fluttershy was curious to what Sunset meant as the walked a little out from the door and Fluttershy noticed that instead of open spaces, each one was an enclosed garage stall keeping vehicles out of harms way except a few spaces at the end.

“Those down there are for verified guests, but security it tight so you don’t have to worry about anything.” Sunset explained as she stopped at a door and unlocked it before putting the garage door up revealing a pink Escalade shocking Fluttershy.

“Don’t laugh, this is my first vehicle that I got. My dad kind of bought it for me, I used to not like pink.” Sunset explained, looking to Fluttershy’s hair. “Though I’ve had a change of opinion lately. You have your license, right?”

“Yeah, I got it back when Chrysalis went with me to get my stuff.” Fluttershy said.

“Good, as long as you are here this is yours to drive. Take good care of it.” Sunset said handing the keys over. “I already let the security know you will be staying with me when I had them bring the furniture. You won’t have any problems with them, and I think this will suit you nicely.”

“What are you going to drive then?” Fluttershy asked as she stared at the keys in her hand before looking up at Sunset raising the door on the next stall. Inside was an older Firebird in perfect condition with a phoenix in flames on the hood.

“I may drive a cheaper car for school, but I still go in style.” Sunset said with a grin. “Though I do have my bike for days I feel like it.”

“Is it okay if I take this to the shelter tonight?” Fluttershy asked softly.

“As long as you take care of it, you can take it anywhere you want. So yes, you can take it to the shelter. You better take this.” Sunset said pulling a card from her bag out, “I think it has like seventy on it. I buy them so I don’t have to go in to get gas.”

“Thank you.” Fluttershy smiled before quickly kissing Sunset’s cheek and hurrying to the Escalade.

The day went normally for Sunset, though she couldn’t help worry a little for Fluttershy. They did pass a few times, but they acted as if it was any o the day per Sunset’s instructions. Sunset refrained from any bullying of the girl though which did raise a few eyebrows.

After school Sunset had to stop off at the bookstore to get a few books she needed for an assignment so took her time knowing Fluttershy would be late too because of the shelter. So taking a book she relaxed in a chair and started reading to kill some time. Unfortunately it killed more time than she wanted since when she noticed how late it was, she knew Fluttershy would have been home for an hour at least. So taking her purchases, she hurried home so Fluttershy wouldn’t worry.

Making sure the stairwell was locked behind her, Sunset walked out into her yard and toward a pool where she heard splashing. Her jaw dropped as Fluttershy pushed up out of the pool to sit on the edge in one of the skimpiest bikinis Sunset had ever seen. It was easy to see that Fluttershy was nervous doing it, but there was a glint of mischief in her eyes too.

“Welcome back Sunset, how did your day go?” Fluttershy asked, the rabbit hopping up to her and glaring up at Sunset.

“It was fine. Yeah, fine, nothing going on really.” Sunset said after swallowing several times. “Damn it, your doing that on purpose.”

“May-maybe I am.” Fluttershy smirked nervously before pushing back off into the water. It was kind of nice to see the girl acting a little confident after the way Sunset found her, though there was so much nervousness still there. She just wished the girl would find a better way to show confidence than teasing Sunset.

“This is going to be a long week.” Sunset grumbled, watching Fluttershy swim from one end of the pool to the other. She had to admit the girl had moves, she could probably out swim a lot of the girls on the swim team. Despite appreciating Fluttershy’s prowess at swimming, it didn’t take long for her appreciation to switch to Fluttershy’s curves. “Damn it! Damn it, damn it, damn it!”

“Why is that damned rabbit just staring at the planters?” Sunset grumbled as she stood at the open sliding door staring out in the yard. There was a patch that had two rows of what she referred to as planters, wooden boxes almost waist high full of dirt that was meant for a small garden. A garden couldn’t be grown on the level dirt seeing how unlike the pool that took up a portion of the storage rooms of the top full floor, the garden was over actual apartments and required the planters to grow anything edible.

“Angel Bunny is sad because there aren't any carrots growing. When I was with dad, I had a small patch I grew fresh carrots, but dad destroyed it the day you found me. I thought he killed Angel Bunny too.” Fluttershy said, leaning into Sunset. Sure it was only Tuesday afternoon, but Fluttershy seemed to be physically close to Sunset as much as possible. At first Sunset protested, but finally gave in after the girl kept trying to snuggle after last night’s dinner as they watched TV.

“So you like gardening?” Sunset asked, looking from Fluttershy to the rabbit. While she didn’t really like the rabbit, she had to admit she liked Fluttershy. The girl was proving to be a good friend and something Sunset was finding hard to imagine what her life was like before finding the girl in that alley.

“It’s calming, and it’s good for Angel Bunny to have the fresh food.” Fluttershy said.

“If you want, you can have the planters. Plant the furball some carrots, flowers or whatever you want.” Sunset said. “Actually, let me get you a card and you can use it to go buy what you need when you’re ready.”

“Sunset, I can’t keep letting you pay for everything.” Fluttershy whined.

“Shy, take the money and buy the rabbit some carrots before it goes crazy from just staring at the dirt.” Sunset said, giving the girl a smile taking the bite from her words. “Besides, it would be nice to have something besides dirt there. I suck at gardening or I would have a long time ago.”

“If you are sure that it is okay.” Fluttershy said, looking worriedly out at Angel Bunny. “I am a little worried about him. Would it be okay if we go get it now?”

“I can’t, I’m expecting a few phone calls that I can’t miss. My lawyer is supposed to be contacting me about some property I put a bid on.” Sunset said, “You can take my card though and get whatever you want. Just make sure you get everything you need, soil, tools, seeds, the whole works. And don’t try and get the cheapest stuff, get the good quality stuff. I don’t know anything about this stuff, so please make sure to get what you need.”

“Thank you Sunny!” Fluttershy smiled, leaning up to kiss Sunset’s cheek.

“Sunny huh?” Sunset asked with an exaggerated eye roll. It really didn’t sound so bad coming from Fluttershy, but she didn’t want anyone else calling her that.

“I think it suits you.” Fluttershy said with a cheery smile as Sunset went to get her a credit card. Of course there was no call, she had other plans. Plans that she was unsure of and would possibly do what she was hoping. She didn’t want Fluttershy to look up at her like she was some saint or something, it wasn’t right.

After seeing the girl off and reminding her to get security to help bring the stuff up when she got back, Sunset headed into her room and started digging through files on her computer and copying many of them off onto a USB key and pulling out two journals, the magic one from Equestria and the mundane one she wrote in here. She knew she was taking a huge risk by doing this since she didn’t want to lose Fluttershy as a friend, but it was better than having Fluttershy become so attached to her. Not when Sunset knew there could never be anything between them, not after the things she had done.

She couldn’t decide what all files to add to the USB after the initial file transfer as she went through one folder at a time. There was just so much stuff yet the USB would only hold a defined amount. She needed to show Fluttershy the things that would be most relevant to her and not exactly stuff that was related to Trixie for example. Maybe Fluttershy’s old friends, the other element bearers.

The element bearers, something that Sunset still despised in so many ways though she was starting to see that the humans weren’t them and it no longer mattered. She lost her mother to her obsession over finding them, the ponies with the marks that would match up to the symbols from the Tree of harmony. Especially Twilight freaking Sparkle! Celestia had ignored Sunset all in favor of a filly who hatched a damned dragon egg until Sunset’s anger sadness grew into anger and then hatred.

“Huh?” Sunset muttered as she heard a soft click making her look up at her door. Deciding it was probably the rabbit she went back to work filling up the USB more until she noticed that it was much later than she anticipated this taking. Wondering if Fluttershy had even got back, Sunset walked out to the yard to find the girl just standing up from doing something with the planters with a lot of gardening stuff surrounding her.

“Oh, hey Sunset, you finished? I didn’t want to bother you when I saw how hard you where working on your computer. Is everything okay?” Fluttershy asked wiping sweat from her brow only to smear dirt across her face. Sunset had to admit that Fluttershy even made dirty coveralls and a shirt look hot.

“As well as can be expected.” Sunset sighed, “Fluttershy, I have some stuff I need you to read over tonight.”

“What kind of stuff?” Fluttershy asked, the curious expression she was giving making Sunset want to just hug her and forget everything. Fluttershy had every right to know, because how could there be a relationship between them if it was built on lies?

That’s what you want though isn’t it?

Looking at Fluttershy’s sweet, innocent gaze Sunset almost backed out of the whole thing. Would it really hurt to just go on like they were? Sure she didn’t want to risk their relationship by entering into a romance that was fated to fail, but what if this ruined there friendship to? Sunset really didn’t want to go back to being alone, no matter how she tried denying that the thought bothered her.

“Stuff that involves you and me, and our pasts at CHS. Fluttershy, I want you to know that I’m sorry for every hurting you. And if you hate me after reading this, I will let you have this place free of charge and move into an apartment downstairs.” Sunset said, feeling just as nervous as Fluttershy usually seemed around others. She wasn’t sure what drove her to make this offer though as she fully intended to offer Fluttershy an apartment downstairs instead.

“What kind of stuff, Sunset?” Fluttershy asked with worry.

“Please, just read it and find out. I need to go lay down for awhile, but I dropped the stuff off at the coffee table on my way through.” Sunset said before hurrying back to her room afraid that she would back out if she didn’t. As she curled up on her bed without bothering to change, seconds turned into minutes, and minutes turned into hours. Each and every one of those moments sending one horrifying daydream after another through her head of Fluttershy telling her much she hated Sunset. And each and every outcome came out the same, fantasy or not she was sure they would turn out to be true, a heartbroken shell of herself.

“Sunset, can I come in?” Fluttershy asked from the door, turning on the light momentarily blinding Sunset making her realize that it had grown dark without her noticing. Looking up at the girl Sunset was able to make out a sad look on the girl with red puffy eyes.

“Y-eah, come in.” Sunset said, a little surprised at how her voice cracked and sounded a little hoarse.

“Have you been crying?” Fluttershy gasped hurrying to Sunset’s side.

“What? Of course not.” Sunset laughed feeling her cheeks to find trails of wetness as she gathered her legs under her giving Fluttershy space to sit down next to her.

“Sunset, I don’t know what to say.” Fluttershy sniffed as she sat down on the bed with Sunset.

“It’s okay if you hate me.” Sunset sighed, “You should. You should despise me.”

“Sunset, you are not getting out of our date this weekend!” Fluttershy said sternly shocking Sunset.

“Wait, what? I never agreed to one yet.” Sunset replied dumbfounded.

“I’m not going to lie, Sunset. What I read in her hurt me a lot. Some of it sounds like some kind of fairytale. I mean it sounded like you were some kind of unicorn.” Sunset said shaking her head, “I don’t even know what to think about that, it’s impossible. I also saw a lot of hurt and pain in what you have written here, and while it hurts the way you went about lashing out at your mom because you hurt so many others doing it.”

“She’s not my mom.” Sunset said.

“She is Sunset, just like my dad is my dad. Nothing will change that, but we can’t go around hurting others because of our pain.” Fluttershy explained. “I can’t say I fully forgive you yet, but I still love you. Friend or more, you’ve become such an important person in my life that I refuse to let go of. And I’ve seen the real you, not that mask you wear at school. You are a much better person that you want to believe.”

“Fluttershy, I tore you your friends apart. How can you forgive that?” Sunset cried as she stared at Fluttershy bewildered. How? How can Fluttershy even look at her with those eyes not full of hate and anger?

“Because we weren’t very good friends to begin with. I really thought Rainbow Dash was, we grew up together, but I was the only one to try when tings started to get rough. I even try now, always saying hi and trying to talk to them. All of them ignore me, even Rainbow Dash.” Fluttershy said, “You just showed me that we weren’t as close as I thought. It doesn’t excuse what you did, but everything that you have done for me has gone a long way to earn that forgiveness.”

“I’m not worthy of it, Shy.” Sunset said shaking her head.

“You are Sunset. I know you are hurt and angry at your mother, at the world, but isn’t it about time to let go of it? Maybe it’s time to forgive yourself?” Fluttershy asked scooting closer, running her fingers through Sunset’s hair before the Sunset launched herself into Fluttershy’s arms crying.

“I’m sorry Shy.” Sunset finally sniffed after crying herself out. She felt so stupid and weak letting anyone, especially Fluttershy see her breakdown like this. Though she had to admit she felt better than she had in a long while, as if a weight had been lifted. She was shocked when Fluttershy titled her head up and leaned in to kiss her. It wasn’t a hungry kiss full of passion, but it was a gentle loving kiss that felt so nice that Sunset couldn’t bring herself to break until Fluttershy finally did.

“I’m not going to lie Sunset, what you did hurt me and I am upset over it. I’m not going to leave you because of it, it is in the past and this is now. You are different now, and you better not be thinking for one moment that I am going to let you off the hook for this weekend.” Fluttershy said, making both giggle a little through the tears. “I’m going to go back to my room now, Sunny, will you be okay?”

“Yeah, I think I will. Thank you Shy.” Sunset said earning a smile and a kiss on the forehead from Fluttershy.

“Goodnight then Sunny, see you in the morning.” Fluttershy whispered.

“Night Shy, I can’t wait.” Sunset sighed, knowing she couldn’t. No she didn’t love Fluttershy as a romantic partner, but she did love her. There was no longer any denying that. Fluttershy was the best thing that ever happened to her and was the best friend she had ever had. But could they be more if she gave it a chance? She wasn’t sure, she was afraid of it messing what they had up, but maybe it was worth giving things a chance. She would give Fluttershy the date she wanted and see where things went from there. Who knew, it just may be the best thing to ever happen to the two.

“By the way Sunny, it felt good having you use me as a pillow for once.” Fluttershy teased sticking her tongue out at Sunset before shutting the door making Sunset’s face turn heat up rather quickly at the realization that her face was in…

“Damn it! Damn it, damn it, damn it! Even upset she’s still screwing with me!” Sunset cried out, knowing Fluttershy was a virgin, but wondering just how innocent she truly was as she seemed to know just how exactly to push Sunset’s buttons.

Sunset awoke to the smell of bacon frying making her mouth water. While she was loathe to admit it, she had come to love bacon. It was something she’d never admit to any pony back in Equestria, but her body needed meat to function properly and since the pigs were not sentient she slowly came to accept that. Too bad somebody didn’t tell her about vegetarians and the vitamins she could take to replace the nutrients needed from meat sooner, but she had gotten hooked on more than one type of food that was made with meat making it way too late. Besides, with all of the leather she possessed, she would be a total hypocrite if she didn’t eat the stuff claiming it wasn’t right. Groggily getting out of bed, cursing at the tempting smell of sizzling pork, Sunset found Fluttershy busy cooking up a storm.

“Morning sleepyhead.” Fluttershy chirped out in a cheery mooed as she seemed to float back forth between pans.

“Morning Shy.” Sunset said, unsure of what to do. Was Fluttershy still mad? Was she still hurt after learning about everything?

“We need to have a long talk before we get ready for school, Sunny, so I thought we could do it over breakfast. Can you grab us some juice out of the fridge? I’ll bring the food in a minute.” Fluttershy said as she started dumping the contents of the different pans on two plates.

“Yeah, sure thing.” Sunset said, giving a nervous smile while cursing herself for being so weak willed as to worry about what someone else thought. Grabbing two glasses and filling them full of orange juice, she went to the couch and sat them on the coffee table where she found the rabbit eating on the floor nearby eating something from his dish. Fluttershy joined her right after with plates loaded with scrambled eggs, fried potatoes with onion topped with cheese, toast and bacon.

“Damn, you went all out.” Sunset said, her eyes glued on her plate.

“I kind of thought we could use some comfort food after last night.” Fluttershy said, as she handed Sunset her silverware and napkins.

“So you really aren’t mad at me?” Sunset asked softly.

“Sunset, what you did last night was very brave of you. You risked driving me away completely by giving me that stuff to read. For that, I love and respect you more.” Fluttershy said, “It doesn’t mean I’m not a little mad at you for it. I think deep down you truly regret what you did, what you do at school. I think you know that it is wrong to bully others, but you were hurt and lashing out.”

“Shy, I have to have that control. The school is my empire.” Sunset said, though she couldn’t help feeling how stupid it sounded out loud.

“Sunset, do you care for me? I’m not asking if you love me or are attracted to me. I’m asking do you care for me, even a little?” Fluttershy asked as she ate, clearly enjoying the food and company though she was being transparent about having something heavy weighing on her mind.

“If you asked me this last week at this time, I would have said a big, fat no. Now, I can’t even imagine what it would be like without you in my life. So yeah, I care for you.” Sunset admitted, tired of trying to convince both Fluttershy and herself that she didn’t really need anyone. “I don’t want to lose you as a friend.”

“And you won’t, but if you care for me will you please do something for me?” Fluttershy asked, letting her hair fall in front of her face as if she was trying to hide behind it.

“If there is anything at all I can do for you and it is within my power to do it, I will. I want to see you happy, Shy.” Sunset said in all honesty.

“I want you to not bully anyone today.” Fluttershy said, almost too quiet to hear her making Sunset wonder what happened to the more confident girl she knew Fluttershy could be. “I’m not asking you to go out and start helping everyone you come across. You don’t even have to get friendly with anyone. I’m just asking you not to go out of your way and bully anyone.”

“Shy, I’d do anything for you, but I’m not sure that I’m capable of that. You don’t understand, all I feel for that place is resentment and hatred. I find it hard even feeling anything else at times. Being around you this week is the first time since…since awhile that I felt good.” Sunset said, refusing to admit that she could feel the tears building up.

“Well, I want to make you always feel good, and I think this may be a good step towards doing that.” Fluttershy said, reaching out to take Sunset’s hand as she finished her plate. “I want you to see how different it can feel to not have the weight of feeling as if you have to act out and hurt others.”

“What if I can’t do it?” Sunset asked, wondering what was on Fluttershy’s mind as she took a deep breath while obviously trying to figure out something.

“Please, just try. Give it a few days at least and if the anger and hate for the school doesn’t go away I want you to consider an alternative.” Fluttershy said, her voice a little sad though she seemed to steel herself up. “If the school keeps poisoning you with these toxic emotions, I want you to take your dad’s offer. I’ll go with you to Crystal Prep.”

“Fluttershy, I can’t do that to you!” Sunset gasped as she pulled away and stood up, starting to pace before turning to face Fluttershy who only looked on with love and worry. “You told me you loved CHS, that it was your home.”

“Sunset, I was wrong. My home is here with you and where you go. If you need to transfer to get away from this pain and anger, then I want you to. And I will be there every step of the way.” Fluttershy said as she got up and hugged Sunset. “Maybe it would even be best, a fresh start for us both.”

Sunset wasn’t sure what to think, she could feel a knot growing in her stomach realizing that she caused these problems for Fluttershy. It wasn’t the girl’s responsibility, Fluttershy shouldn’t have to pick up and move off with Fluttershy from one school to another just to make Sunset feel better. Did Fluttershy really care for her that much too seriously offer to do that? Even if she did, she couldn’t do that to Fluttershy. If making Fluttershy happy meant that Sunset had to swallow some of her pride, then she would.

“You win, Shy. I won’t bully anyone today at least and see how things go.” Sunset said as Fluttershy pulled back to lock eyes with her. With a huge smile, Fluttershy leaned in and kissed Sunset while neither worried that they just ate a bunch of onions and probably had hellacious morning breath.

“Thank you.” Fluttershy smiled, pulling back with a grin seeing the bright red look on Sunset’s face. With a large grin, she left towards her room to get clothes to change into after a shower. Calling back over her shoulder, “Since I cooked, can you get the dishes?”

“Sure.” Sunset said in a daze, running her fingers over her lips as her mind was rebooting over the overload of feelings caused by the kiss and the feel of Fluttershy’s body pressing into hers. As she came back to reality, all she could mutter as she gathered up the dishes were, “Damn it! Damn it, damn it, damn it!”

She had to admit when they finally got home that the day had actually been much nicer than usual. Snips and Snails had been a little worried about her which made her pause in wondering if maybe she may have had more friends than she thought. At least until they opened their mouths proving them to be the idiot stooges they were only interested in being under Sunset’s good graces and protection.

As for everyone else, they gave her the wide berth they usually did fearing her retribution. For the first time Sunset noticed how lonely it was having people pretty much bow and scrape to her out of fear rather than respect or adoration. For the first time she was starting question just what she was doing being the bully in order to maintain her self proclaimed empress status. It even got to the point she almost found Fluttershy during breaks, but she didn’t want the girl to become a target for those looking to strike out against Sunset.

“So, how did it feel not bulling anyone?” Fluttershy asked as they cuddled on the couch together just relaxing. It had been a long school day for both, feeling worry for each other as the seconds ticked by on the clock.

“Better than I thought it would, and worse to.” Sunset sighed, hurry to explain herself at seeing the confused expression on Fluttershy’s face. “I feel as if some of the usual slump had lifted at first, then I started realizing that without acting out I was alone. I never realized just how lonely it could get.”

“Well, what about Snips and Snails?” Fluttershy asked, earning a grimace.

“They’re idiots that don’t care about me. Not that I blame them.” Sunset said, it being Fluttershy’s turn to grimace though a reluctant acceptance soon replaced it.

“What do you think about how it went today?” Fluttershy asked timidly, worried about Sunset’s answer.

“It made me realize that I can’t go on like this, Shy. I’m just not sure if I can stop either. All I can promise is that I will take it one day at a time.” Sunset said smiling, surprised by the sudden kiss from Fluttershy.

“That is all anyone can ask of you.” Fluttershy said softly.

Sunset couldn’t deny she was liking these kisses, yet she still couldn’t bring herself to say she could care for Fluttershy the way the girl truly seemed to want. She promised herself as she thought about everything that after Fluttershy stayed with her even after revealing the pain she caused, Sunset decided the least she could do was try.

“Shy, I have a question I want to ask.” Sunset said earning Fluttershy’s full attention. “Will you go out with me?”

“Are you serious?” Fluttershy asked in excitement, squealing happily as she hugged Sunset tightly and kissed her again after getting a nod in confirmation. Sunset herself couldn’t help having a simple phrase repeat in her head feeling the girl pressing into her as their lips met. Damn it! Damn it, damn it, damn it!
