Like I said, that would've happened long ago had I actually been a good friend and marked all your stories to read. :B

Find stories you want to collect, add stories to your group, people will figure out the rest.

It's funny though, because you left this same message on my alt account, where I do have a Trixie story...

Except it features her being obsessed with getting revenge on Twilight. In other words, your message comes across as, "Please look at my group even though I didn't take the time to read or even look at any of your fics." So start by showing people the same courtesy you ask of them.

lol you again? I don't think I have any Trixie fics, sorry. :B Not the best way to get word out about your group, either.

Hello sir or madame,

I am Obsidian Raindrop the creator of a group known as The Great and Not Obsessive Trixie   I am here to ask if you would like your story to be added to my group.

The only requirements are:

1. You have a story about Trixie and she is not completely obsessing over her lose at the hands of Twilight. (She can hate that she lost to twilight and even try and beat again but she just can't be be so obsessive like she is in most stories. )

2.  She may be a supporting character or a main character it does not matter.

3. i can`t think of a third thing

Sorry to all those who either received this email twice or who don`t have trixie as a main or supporting character. Also just PM me if you want your story added.

Hello,

It's me Obsidian again asking you guys to do stuff you don't want to.

1. tell me the name of your story and the one folder you want it in

2.join the group it is really cool and we'll soon get a banner up

3. fallow because it will boost my confidence

Yours truly, Obsidian Raindrop

Future Progressive: The Speedfics and Drabbles of Present Perfect

NEW: The Heart Holds Grudges With Gravity: Applejack and Rarity have had a long-standing fued since before Twilight even knew them. The time has finally come to settle the score. 9th-place finalist in the April 2013 Minific Writeoff.

Burdens of the Crown: The Princess of Love was angry... 4th-place finalist in the April 2013 Minific Writeoff. Version posted here is not the final entry.

I do a lot of speedfic contests, and sometimes the results aren't really worth polishing. Sometimes I write weird shit and want to show it off. This will be a repository for both, in more or less chronological order. Zecora's cutie mark in honor of the Zebra Manuscript, tags will be collective for all stories, characters displayed will be for the stories most recently added. Descriptions and individual tags below.

Present Perfect's Award-Winning Platefic, aka The Zebra Manuscript, aka "Where Do Fillies Come From?": I wrote a speedfic on the back of a paper plate at a brony meetup in 2011. I then proceeded to leave before the results could be read. My handwriting is really bad, so they had to muddle through it, and this came out. The original story has been lost, but rest assured, it was awful. In its stead is a jumbled mess of nonsense that stands as a testament to me winning a Pinkie Pie RC Car. But Argembarger deserved to win, seriously.

Honestly: Rainbow Dash asks for Applejack's help in impressing Pinkie, only to make things far more complicated than they need to be. Revised version here.

The Nether Apple: I once hosted a tumblr called Ask the Nether Apple which had all of two posts. It was a spinoff of the better and more popular Ask Derpmuffin. Since I just took the tumblr down as of this writing, I thought I would post the introduction story here for posterity. It is not pony-related, and knowledge of Ask the Derpmuffin, defunct though it is, is recommended.

It Was a Bright and Sunny Day in Ponyville: An exercise in mocking both purple prose and the 'weather report' opening. It is a single, grammatically correct sentence that takes 500 words to accomplish what happens in the title.

Twilight's Guts: Twilight awakens covered in her own entrails. How did that happen? Written for Tactical Rainboom's Microfic Madness competition, based on the prompt "Not what it seems" in 400 words or less.

Movin' on Up: The walls start shakin', the earth is quakin', Dr. Whooves' mind is achin' and what the bloody hell is actually going on? Written for the Trotcon 2012 speedfic competition, where it placed distinctly nowhere, based off the prompt "Crackle comes to Ponyville" and a lot of other stupid crap.

A Very Nasty Habit: Chrysalis is confronted by a Councillor worried about her health. How did changelings get those holes in their legs, anyway? (Inspired by a conversation had during Canterlot Gardens, and written during the same.)

The Call of Carrothulhu: Carrot Top's garden hides many wonders, but some were never meant to be pulled from the earth. (2nd place winner, September 2012 /fic/ writeoff.)

Blue, Green, Purple, Pink: My mane is lovely, don't you think? So many colors, swirling, never ending, constantly shifting, always in my field of vision. Help. (5th place winner, September 2012 /fic/ writeoff.)

Hot Shot and Hugh Jelly in JaAm Adventures: Hot Shot is am was car robot form abd he lovs jAam so gont o Qeustira to met HUG JELY & haes jamventuar (Last place winner, September 2012 /fic/ writeoff and first story to claim the coveted Wooden Spoon award. :D)

Waiting for Rarity: Rarity is off pursuing her dreams. What does this mean for her friends? (Written for the October 2012 /fic/ writeoff and submitted 7 minutes too late. :( )

War Comes to Equestria: Celestia has spent countless lifetimes honing Equestria into a peaceful haven for her precious little ponies. So when an ambassador from the griffins casually begins speaking of war, it is perhaps understandable that she might become a tad... peeved. (Inspired by The Descendent's excellent story "A Cup of Joe". Somehow.)

The Lamentation Chain: Five souls find themselves caught in a common thread of sadness and longing on the eve of the new year. 7th place finalist in the 2012 Christmas Write-Off, based off all five art prompts.

Chrysalicksy

I kind of had a bad day at work and was thinking about stupid sexy Chrysalis, and then I wondered if there was a stupid sexy Trixie tag on derpibooru, and then my mind said SHIP THEM so I wrote this in about an hour and my god it is really late but like I said I had a bad day and went to some dark places but then I wrote this at the same time so maybe life isn't completely awful.

What, you want a plot? There is no plot. There's ponies kissing and stupid sexy Chrysalis and peanut butter toast. That should be all you need.

Dinky's First Kill

Every child has a moment when they must come face to face with fear. It is a moment predicated in growth and exemplifying growing up. It is a moment that can define a childhood, for good or ill.

For Dinky Hooves, that moment has come.

So I thought to myself, I read an awful lot of stuff right now, and some people will like what I like, and some will like what I don't like, so why not include everything instead of just what I want people to read?

So what I'll do from now on is collect whatever I read into small mini-reviews and post them three or five at a time, just whenever I have enough to make a post. This one's gonna be bigger, because I have a lot more stuff to report on. I'll link to each story, give it a genre tag (generally not the sort that you'll see in the actual "tags" area, and thus far better more descriptive), a little bit about what it is and what I thought about it, and a level of recommendation: highly recommended, recommended, vaguely recommended, not recommended. Also possible will be things like "recommended for X" (or, in this case, "troll recommended"), for people who like specific kinds of stories.

Note that recs will be for mature and non-mature fics alike. I will put a nice bold Mature after the title so you don't have to violate your eyes.

What Rarity Needs by EbonMane

Genre: February fic

Don’t let that genre tag scare you off too much; it’s February because it doesn’t really sell the ship at the end all that well. Furthermore, the twist is pretty easy to figure out early on. What impressed me with this story, though, was the handling of multiple ships (all of which I really like!), not to mention some fun characterization for Big Macintosh.

No Quixote Here by RedSquirrel456

Genre: Comedy

Technically, I didn’t read this yesterday, just the epilogue that fimfic never told me was still unread in my favorites. :| But this is a great fic, especially for people who love watching Blueblood be a doofus, because that’s what it’s about! I can’t remember how well it did, but it was in a writeoff, possibly the latest one, and I loved it there too. Now you can all enjoy Prince Blueblood Does Lots of Stupid Stuff!

Highly Recommended

Watching Paint Dry by Eustatian Wings

Genre: Character musings

No relation to the fic about Pinkie Pie, which apparently came out at the same time. I described this as “boring, but not dull”. There’s a good bit of imagery and backstory for the CMCs in this that works very nicely. Just, not a whole lot goes on. Also, they’re apparently teenagers, which is very easy to miss, judging by other comments. It does explain Sweetie’s philosophical musings, at least.

Sisterly Bonding by Goris the Deathclaw Mature

Genre: Bonerkill

Here’s how a Goris fic works: You’re a pony. You’re doing something and meet a character from the show. She decides, somehow, that she wants to have sex with you. Something goes terribly wrong. You’d think this would get old after a while, but 30+ stories later and Goris hasn’t lost his touch. Not all of his works are equally good, but this one, featuring Flitter and Cloud Chaser, is actually one of his best. Note that the final scene won’t make a whole lot of sense unless you’re familiar with Goris’s work; after the first dozen or so, he starts building a narrative.

Love and Roadkill by Fiddlebottoms Mature

Genre: Trolly fetish fic

You will never read a more emotional, sensual story about Rarity getting run over by a sentient car. I cried.

Dark Meets LD for a Physical by Dashiel Mature

Genre: Bonerkill

If you don’t know about Dashiel, you won’t know what to expect from this story. If you do, you may be disappointed; I was, somewhat. There’s not a lot of substance here, the twist is pretty well telegraphed, and all that’s left is a healthy dose of squick on behalf of the nurse. According to the description, this was written for someone else, so all I can say is... I guess that’s someone’s fetish?

Not Recommended

Variables by The Descendant

Genre: Monologue

I really wanted this story to be about a particular thing happening (if you don’t mind spoilers, you can view my comment on it to see precisely what I’m talking about). That thing does not happen. Yet, its not happening, in hindsight, is a good thing... Except that it’s really not, and far crueler than had that thing happened in the first place. This is a story about Spike working himself up to doing that thing, by talking to Discord’s statue. I thought it was a tad long in the middle, and there are quite a few instances where the author’s headcanon encroaches on the story (numerous references to “The Witches” confounded and irritated me), but this is good writing, as Descendant tends to deliver. Admittedly, it hasn’t aged well.

Red Clay by NorsePony Mature

Genre: Worldbuilding and wait, why is there sex?

Call me unobservant: it says “Mature: sex” right there in the description, but nevertheless it snuck up on me. That actually speaks a lot to the first half of this story, an excellent suggestion of backstory, as well as additional characterization, for Luna. It takes place in the midst of her journeying around the world to meet all the creatures upon whom the moon’s light falls, and with the shaman of a warrior zebra tribe (a pretty cool concept all on its own), she gets a taste of what it means to be who she is. And then they have sex. Yet, the flippancy of that phrase shouldn’t distract from the essence of the story. This is not something you read to get your ya-yas; it’s about fulfillment of primal desires, and in that way, the sex fits in well, especially given that it’s emotionally written.

The Cake Twins’ Surprise Party by Cloud Wander

Genre: Cute

This seems to be your standard sort of adorable fic: Pumpkin Cake is talking with her toys, they talk back to her, they all discuss the issues of throwing a surprise party for your twin when you are both 1 year old. There’s a heart-warming sort of resolution, Pound’s characterization is dutifully amusing, and just when you’re ready to write it off as yet another pointlessly cutesie-doot story, that last scene happens and casts the entire thing in a whole new light. I won’t say this is the best story ever, or that it’s particularly good, but the twist ending makes it memorable.
