Twilight Sparkle loves her sister-in-law and ex-foalsitter, Princess Cadance, dearly. In fact she wouldn't have anypony else be married to her brother, Shining Armor, Captain of the Royal Guard!

However, the mare has had one long, brooding question on her mind since the wedding. When she gets the opportunity to spend some time with Princess Cadance, she decides to get her answer.

But will Cadance take Twilight's family question the wrong way at first or will this question only produce even more questions to be had?

It's Valentines Day! Aria's decided that, knowing Sonata, to get her a taco early in the morning. When she returns home she goes to give it to Sonata and ask her to be Aria's valentines.

Unfortunately, Adagio is also there when Aria gives Sonata the taco.

Twilight has been studying portals she calls 'Rifts in the Veil' otherwise called Veil portals. After the appearance of humans in Equestria, she set out to learn and find out much about these portals.

Now she has the opportunity to test an experiment on one. Against her better judgement, she travels to the Crystal Empire alone to test her experiment on a Veil portal that has been sighted in a cave near the Crystal City.

But could this experiment backfire and send her through the very thing that she is studying?

They say a new year can bring new possibilities, both good and bad, but all she can see is what's in a bottle, a throat burning liquid.

But maybe somepony could actually turn this mare's life around for the better?
