I'm back! I know it's been a little while. I had somethings to take care of. Or one thing, really.
What are you doing wasting time reading a bio? Go read good stories. Isn't that what you're here for?
I got my newest story posted. I hope it meets approval, gets views, likes, and all that jazz.
But this story is different. Mature, darker, bloodier.
I just wanted to let those of you who follow me that my newest story, "Nightmare Moon On Oak Street," is a horror story, but also that I haven't "lost it."
I checked FIMFiction this morning to find I had 100 followers. I remember starting out thinking, "Wow, wouldn't it be cool to have 10,000 followers like <super-popular-author>?"
I wasn't until I wrote my first story and started following authors myself that I realized how tough that is. I feel like I should be thanking everyone. I am going to thank everyone, the only way I know how: with a new story...
If it were finished :S
Now that "I Hate Apples" is finished, I'm ready for my next story. I'm already three chapters in, and I think it's gonna be a little longer than the last one. I'm trying something new, something to stretch myself with. A story unlike the others I've written.
It's much, MUCH darker.
So I've heard that getting posted on EQD was difficult, but it brought in a few extra views to your story. I thought, "well, a few extra views couldn't hurt, and getting past this tough review process might really make me buckle down." As it turns out, the pre-readers over there are cool guys. When they give critisism, it's of the constructive kind, and they do it for free. That's a public service that deserves applause.
I'm writing this from a hotel room. I got roped into a business trip, kinda last minute. I figured I would be able to post the next chapter to "A Roll in the Hay" even from my hotel room.
Nnnope.
I just finished with a 10 hour workday, and I'm exhausted. The worst part is going to be the next two weeks, I won't even have internet access for much of the time.
SO:
While Catch Me if I Fall is finished, I am not. Not by a long shot. I am fairly pleased with the results of that story, and it's extra nice that it got extra viewers after the FINAL chapter was posted. It makes sense, I like to read a finished story just as much as anyone else.
I'm posting the next chapter to Catch Me if I Fall at the sensible suggestion that some people *might* want to watch the Superbowl tomorrow. I know I will be, cause I like commercials and beer.
I've released the first chapter to "Catch Me If I Fall." For those of you who don't know me and my OCD, I never release a story without the ENTIRE story already written. This one is no exception. I will be posting the next chapter every Sunday until the story is finished. You know, assuming nothing gets in the way, like fire, flood, power outages, eldrich abominations... that sort of thing.
