Where do nightmares come from? The answer lies with the reclusive princess Luna, and one foal will find out when they wander away from a field trip.

Over a thousand years ago, Princess Luna created the Night Mares. They were a small but elite group of ponies, born with bat wings and strange abilities. It was their job to gallop across Equestria every night and deliver dreams to sleepers in their beds. But when Luna began to turn away from her duties, the Night Mares were corrupted. They began delivering bad dreams to all, and ponies were afraid to sleep at night for fear of the terrors that awaited.

Equestria lived in fear of its own dreams- that is, until Princess Celestia stepped in.

What would life be like if a certain fashion-savvy filly had fallen in love at first sight with an older incarnation of everypony's favorite dragon? Well, it certainly would be exciting! Everything you thought you knew about unrequited love is turned on its head in this sweet little story about first love's follies.

Every culture has its own myths and stories, its heroes and monsters. Enter the Buffalo Legends, where mighty heroes like Broad Hoof, Quick Star, and Clever Horns perform feats of daring and courage, where tricksters like Star Dog wreak havoc and cause mischief, and where the Spirits of old come to life once again. These stories, told by an unnamed buffalo elder, have been passed down since time immemorial, and now they are being passed down to you.

Each chapter is a separate, mostly stand-alone fable. Unless stated in the Author's Note as adaptions of existing legends (and this won't happen very often), all chapters are original.

Zecora's friends in Ponyville don't know anything about the mysterious zebra mare's past. She sits alone in her cottage every night and writes a letter to her daughter. She hasn't seen Zinnia since she was a foal, but that doesn't stop Zecora from missing her.

This is a one-shot, so there probably won't be more unless I feel like expanding on this idea. The letter is written as a poem, in keeping with Zecora's rhyming.
