Well, my dad's mom passed away before I could get home and visit her. It's sad, yes, but at the moment it's also so very distant. She's gone, but it's just kind of a thing that's in the background of my life at the moment. I'm sure it'll hit me at the memorial like it did earlier this year when at my mom's mom's memorial. For those of you who're just as insane as I am, I've edited two plot holes out of the story. (At least I think I have - it's kind of hard to tell when you're this nuts.) The first is in chapter 5, part 1 where Etherea randomly knows the names of several ponies in English. Yeah, nobody caught that, not even me initially. But it still bothered me... The second was the whole phone issue in chapter 6, but it should make more sense now.

I know where I want to go, but I'm slipping back in to old habits of correcting what I'm doing (several times), as I'm doing it, and my forward progression suffers. Yesterday was a massively mixed bag.

It was my last day of work at one store so I spent much of it saying goodbye to the regulars that I'd gotten to know and who trusted me.
It was one of the busiest days I've seen in a while and I finished late and exhausted (we did as much business as a regular weekday but with less hours, fewer people, and no large orders).

I seriously just spent ten minutes pondering what I did wrong with a sentence of intentional nonsense and fixed it.

Just in case anyone is insane enough to read the chapter again, I'm letting you all know that I've re-revised it according to some of the points made in the comments. Things are pretty much the same except for some subtle changes to how Alex was reacting to Etherea.

I know everyone's antsy, and fret not, I've seen the occasional post asking when the new chapter is expected. It's taking a lot more work than I thought it might.
