The good: I'm making progress on Uniformity again. I've hit a real good stride with chapter 14 in the last few days, and I'm very positive about the outcome. I think it will be a real solid chapter of a very respectable length. In fact, I think it could be the longest chapter yet. I've only written four out of ten parts of it, and it's already at 5700 words, and that's before edits which can easily add a thousand words alone.

The stress of December is soon behind us, and we can relax again and get back to what we enjoy the most. For me, that is writing.

What a month!

Not only did we get our first new pony for like a ton of months, the season premiere also aired on my birthday! How cool is that? As for the premiere, I haven't even had time to watch it a second time yet, but my first impression was that it was okay, slightly disappointing in some ways perhaps. Discord was in top form, though.

Remember my crazy insane goal this month? Writing 150.000 words for NaNoWriMo instead of the usual 50.000?

I just hit 50.000 words today, Novemeber 12. That's two days behind schedule, but still pretty damn amazing! I may have to really pick up pace if I am to have any hope of reaching the ultimate goal, but I have definitely proven to myself that I could actually do it if I really dedicated myself to it. And that's amazing!

It's tough work, though. Very exhausting too.

Chapter 10 of Uniformity is almost finished, just needs a few days of editing. In hindsight it and chapter 9 should probably have been a single chapter, but now they're not.

I hope to have a short Nightmare Night story done by Thursday too. I originally had in mind a story with Cadance, but that one's on a slight hold. So instead it'll be a surprise.

You ever get nostalgic? I've been longing for dark and spooky stories of late and thinking fondly of some of my early fics in that genre. Which mostly translates to Fillystata and its associated acts. I miss writing dark and spooky stories. Not necessarily sad or gory, just dark and moody. Lovecraftian, I suppose. It's something I have to admit I enjoy writing a lot, and I have such fond memories of writing Fillystata (and the feedback I got on it).
