A collection of short stories, prompts, and extracts from stories never truly begun.

At present this consists mainly of prompts I have written for Twilight x Princess prompt collaborations; more along the same line will be added here, as well as scenes that make their way into my head but don't deserve their own piece.

Blank Slate is the greatest thief of his generation. He has robbed countless nigh-impossible marks, and his talents as a master of disguise are beyond par - truly, nopony knows who he is.

And now he's preparing the greatest heist in mortal memory: the treasure vaults of the Princesses themselves.

But you have to get up pretty early in the morning to get one past the pony who defines when ‘early in the morning’ is…

Ever had one of those days where everything's just gone wrong, one problem after another?

Of course you have.

Ever had one of those days when you wake up to find you've accidentally switched places with your counterpart in a world where you and all your friends are stallions?

...No?

Maybe that's just Twilight, then.

But the Princess of Magic isn't going to let a little thing like being in the wrong universe ruin her day. She has a schedule - a checklist! - and it matches up with this Dusk Shine's perfectly. Apart from the names and the genders, everything seems to be a match, and Ponyville has seen much weirder things since she moved here.

Being stallions or mares shouldn't make her friends that different. What could possibly go wrong?

It's been several years since Lero first dropped into Equestria - several very happy years for Rainbow Dash, and the rest of her herd.

But when it becomes obvious that Rainbow's number one fan Scootaloo, now a mare in her own right, is making moves to court Spike, the herd is concerned - is the younger pegasus actually interested in Twilight's number one assistant, or simply trying to follow in her idol's footsteps in courting interspecies?

Everypony who is anypony knows what happened at the near-disaster of the Royal Canterlot Wedding. The Changeling Queen Chrysalis captured the bride and impersonated her, invading the capital of Equestria with her swarm at her back, intent on feeding on the love of the loyal captain of the guard and capturing a swarm of ponies to feed her and her hive, wounding Celestia and nearly winning, before being ejected and tossed to her inevitable doom by an immense burst of love-fueled magic. The story is simple, it's straightforward, and it's obvious.

And, of course, incorrect in so many ways.

When you're dealing with Changelings, it is wise to not take anything at face value...

Two interwoven tales of the consequences of the Royal Canterlot Wedding.

Days after the wedding, Chrysalis is brought to trial by the Changelings for her actions, and sentenced to personality death without ever being permitted to defend herself, as the hive prepares for the inevitable war to come.

Months later, Spring Bounty is a mare on the run, fleeing from Changeling capture after being rescued by a pegasus named Papillon, determined to make an escape and seek protection and safety - if any such safety still exists.

Equestria is a land of rainbows and pastel-coloured ponies, where friendship is a tangible force and villians are redeemed as often as they are defeated.

It is truly a land of magic, but even more than that, it is a land of stories, from the mundane anecdote between friends to the world-spanning epic. And every story has a happy ending.

But a happy ending doesn't always mean a happy beginning, and it certainly doesn't mean a happy middle. Celestia has manipulated Equestria for over a thousand years to ensure that the dark times are as short and as painless as possible - though doing so may mean breaking every one of the tenets of harmony she preaches.

When faced with a choice between seeing Equestria fall to darkness with the promise of salvation, or fighting to stop the catastrophe by sacrificing the guarantee of a happy ending, Celestia holds the fate of her little ponies in her hooves as never before.

A behind-the-scenes look at Celestia and Luna's actions throughout Season Three.

Ever since she was a filly, whenever she has been at her wits' end and didn't know what to do, Crystal Chime has had something strange happen - her reflection gains a life of its own and helps her overcome her problems with good advice and emotional support.

As she grows up, however, she begins to notice more and more that the one she talks to has a personality and knowledge that is no reflection of her own, and begins to wonder who exactly has been giving her this advice, and why. However, as it only happens when she is in the middle of an emotional crisis, she is hardly in a state to start questioning the apparition as it appears.

Who is the Mare in the Mirror, and what is her interest in this up-and-coming singer?

Devastated by Celestia's refusal, Twilight tries to determine whether she has failed her work or her teacher - and wonders what her special status and talent is worth.
