Alright, folks, I went back and edited Episode 1 as per the recommendations from the EQD pre-reader. I'd really appreciate another set of scrutinizing eyes on it before I resubmit, so if you or somebody you know is a grammar/punctuation stickler who wouldn't mind reading a little ditty about ponies and pawn shops then have at it and give me the report. The biggest change I made here was cutting down and rewriting the introduction, plus I revamped about half of the exposition in the beginning.

So I just got my strike one email from EQD. It came from a pre-reader who went by the initials NW, who doesn't appear on the list of PRs in the fanfic submit forum. I don't know where this guy came from or anything about him, but I guess he's there to help w/the summer rush. Anyhow, he cited problems with comma usage, awkward phrasing and the first episode's video intro being too long. He also said the OCs weren't engaging as characters and Rarity's necklace pawn subplot didn't seem believable

So I'm about 4,600 words in, written about half the episode so far. Decided to go ahead and let the two remaining Mane Six ponies make their appearances here. If you've been keeping track, then you know who they are. I don't want to give away too much, but I decided to let Derpy have more of the face time she deserves in this episode. I've finished the rough draft of Episode 2, clocking in at about 8,000 words. If I can help it, I'm actually going to try and hold off doing any editing work until the weekend. Got plans to take the fam to see Brave tomorrow, which should be fun and a good opportunity to decompress a little from all the college and ponies stuff I have going on lately. Then I can do my homework and editing over the weekend before I start my new job next week.
