Material Defender

A crossover/HiE writer whose own distractions with the internet ended up with him running into ponies. And now he's a fanfiction writer.

T

A haze of memories of things thought to be fantasy and fiction.

A physical world so real that every breath drawn is another step towards death.

Which one do you believe?

A prince is called to action to save his people's home, a land forever scarred by the battles of ages past against the one they know as the Trickster; to the Equestrians, they know his descendant as Discord. His legacy stretches far back into time, where the first rulers of the humans first brought their own tools to bear against his nightmarish reign of old and banished him to the depths of the void, but only now are his seals truly beginning to weaken. With the second release and re-imprisonment of Discord, it sets off a series of events that threaten to swallow the humans' Renascent Empire whole and turn their legacy into another dark age. With limited options, the prince turns to their heralded saviors of the sun and moon to aid them in their quest in the hopes that they can end the threat, once and for all.

Tiberium. The infamous green crystal that destroys entire worlds in its wake of global proliferation. It has been a little over a century since the Tiberium threat was first wiped out on Earth, and with it, the primary vestiges of the Brotherhood of Nod. When the GDI advanced humanity to the stars, they found that Earth had not been the only target of the alien Scrin: dozens of other worlds had already been claimed by Tiberium, and the Scrin returned in full force, attacking human colonies across space, stopping human expansion. To fight back, the GDI undergoes a reformation to become the Interstellar Defense Intiative (ISDI) and enacts the Hallman Directive, designed to stop Tiberium spread wherever it may be; such a protocol brings the reincarnated ITC Methuselah to a planet being ravaged by the green crystal, and the forces under Commander Martin Alexandra deploy to stop the threat.

It's been a long time since the nations around Equestria have signed a treaty, promising peace and open borders, resulting in the creation of the Commonwealth. That very peace is maintained, but not without consequences: organized crime runs rampant in the background, and the municipal police forces and even the Equestrian Royal Guard are helpless to stop it, resulting in the creation of the Bounty Hunters Collective to take down unsavory crime elements away from the gaze of the public eye.

But within the veteran ranks of the bounty hunters, there is a group... a secretive and selective task force, created under the order of Princess Luna: a group of agents, peacekeepers sworn to protect the innocent and serve the just, are the last line of defense against the Commonwealth's ever-increasing crime problem.

These select operatives, the Judicators, act as the final judge on behalf of the Princess of the Night, bringing the most dangerous criminals to justice, at any cost, dead or alive. Among them, a trio of Judicators working on a basic investigation on behalf of the Princess herself soon find themselves embroiled in a massive underground plan that threatens the stability of the Commonwealth itself.

Treasure hunting's a rather straightforward business with a rather odd relationship with the strange and supernatural. Occasionally, there'll be some mishaps involving traps or some other things, while some other hunters even have first-hand tales of supposed supernatural encounters; whatever it is, it doesn't concern Blake Westerly, who's merely in the business for the obvious payout: cold hard cash.

Of course, he'd never believed the stories, but soon he'll find himself walking into the next bar with one of his own...

An adventure story, and also my first true 'spare time' project, so don't expect consistent updates for this story.
The lore in this story will be heavily Nightmare Moon centric.

The plight of the endless CT-T war has arrived in Equestria! Observe the Equestrians as they watch the CTs and Ts duke it out and see endless humans die and come back to life, all while watching their beloved buildings and monuments be possibly destroyed every match for 10 rounds!

This story brought to you by Valve, Gaben, My Little Pony, Hasbro, the letter 'T', and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
Negative six-star rating and never featured on Equestria Daily!

NOTE: This story is currently on hiatus for complete revision.

Sky Shift has been friends with Spitfire, the Captain of the Wonderbolts, for the longest time now. And for all that time, he's always admired her from afar. They'd grown up together, gone to school together, and Shift was even there for the spunky daredevil's audition for the Wonderbolts. Things begin to change, however, when she begins to act differently around him...

Picture is "Spitfire", made by spittfireart on DeviantArt.

This is my first romance fiction, made with Spitfire because there isn't ever enough Spitfire. It's mostly a project I threw together in my spare time, but I will try to work on continuing it when I get the chance. I do have to admit that I kind of suck at creating romantic tension.

At the height of the EndWar, a Ghost team has orders to track down a madman who has kidnapped some of the United States' top scientists. However, when it turns out that the madman has used them to build a portal to escape from the world's ongoing onslaught, he runs through, forcing the Ghost team to follow through and take him down. In the aftermath of events, the Ghosts realize that they have no way to return home, and find themselves in a middle of a conflict that calls upon their talents to protect Equestria.

Winston wakes up one fine day after a particular accident and finds himself in Equestria.

Shenanigans ensue.

A beetle-in-Equestria fic, and a parody of HiE with a different species altogether. Tags and characters will be added as the story progresses.

NOTE: I do not claim Winston to be anatomically correct. But he is a beetle.

NOTE: Story has been cancelled due to lack of interest and requirement of character retcons, as this story was created before Bioware's first MP updates (which introduced renegade Cerberus and N7 classes) for Mass Effect 3.

A lone N7 vanguard is enroute to a mission until things go awry, and he finds himself in a new world. An ex-Cerberus soldier staring at the face of death is given a miraculous second chance. And together, both must come to terms with the new world they now live in, as well as working with the Elements of Harmony to defeat an evil that has long since plagued Equestria... and more.
