Big Macintosh ends up in an alternate Universe, where Nightmare Moon triumphed and Celestia was banished. Equestria’s guardians of the Elements of Harmony are the Generals of Chaos in this world. Big Mac doesn’t know how or if he can get back to his own dimension.

When it becomes apparent that Comet Flip-Flop will hit Equestria if it isn't diverted, Luna ascends to space and Discord and Celestia remain on the ground in case she is unable to succeed in deflecting the comet. With Luna unable to stop the flaming ball of ice, Discord and Celestia combine their energies to blow it to pieces. Equestria is saved from a tragic disaster, only to fall victim to a humorous one.

When the Apple family make Discord feel welcome, he wants to do something special to thank them. His magic yields results that are unexpected even to him.

Xavier the Mule has a special diversity project assignment for school. He needs to interview a pony of a different kind than himself, so he chooses to interview Rainbow Dash. He ends up interviewing Twilight and Fluttershy as well. All of the ponies end up learning something new about one another as well as the world around them.
