Twilight Sparkle and her friends have saved Equestria from every threat that came up against it. Or so it seemd; in reality, countless threats face Equestria, not all of them as clear-cut as Discord or Nightmare Moon. Thankfully, Twilight's friends don't have to worry about that. Instead, that job falls to Miss Mayberry, and Twilight can go on with her life blissfully unaware of the madness in the world.

Or, well, she used to be able to.

Picking up a a confused, marooned life form might have been the highlight of its service, but that's barely the beginning of the story.

Twilight didn't mean to travel faster-than-light, but here she is, on a space ship, with no idea how to get home. She has high hopes, though: surely, this 'Federation' will send her straight home as soon as they can. Hopefully she'll survive that long.

Twilight loves to learn. When she asks to study abroad, Luna is quite happy to send her to a place full of new information and a rich history that is irreversibly entwined with Equestria's: the moon.

Twilight now has has a veritable smorgasbord of information in front of her: The story of Nightmare Moons' imprisonment, the truth behind various questions about the moon, the odd natives...

Oh, yes, there's life on the moon. Highly eccentric life that Twilight is going to have to live alongside, cooperate with, befriend, and otherwise not be driven mad by. How long will Twilight be able to stay, and how many dark secrets can she find in that time?

Liz is a smart girl. She knows what she's doing, with only just enough drive for heroics and exploration to get her into (and out of) trouble. However, no matter how skilled you are you aren't ready for a swarm of unown to rip apart the fabric of reality and throw you into an unusual new world! Thankfully, the natives are understanding and quite helpful.
The issue comes up when her Pokemon team are spread far and wide across Equestria, and don't adapt to their new surroundings quite a readily as their trainer does.

(Pokemon/MLP crossover. Rating of 'Everyone' is pending at this time. If this story proceeds in a way that makes a 'Teen' rating more accurate, I will update it.)
