Well, I'm at RTX (Rooster Teeth Expo) for the next three days. While I normally read ponyfic on my phone, there's no way it's going to be able to hold a charge all day if I did that, so I downloaded a few stories in my TBR queue as ebooks and will be reading them on my Sony Reader.

Writing is going well, albeit slowly. I've been generating OCs like mad (I'm at 15; six are named and fleshed out, and another has a sketch of a backstory). So I bit the proverbial bullet and have actually started writing my first fan-fic. Well, my first one set in My Little Pony, at any rate. (I'm pretty sure I've written others set elsewhere in the Multiverse, but for the life of me I can't recall which ones.) It's sort of a cross-over in that it's about a grifball (the latest professional sport in Equestria) team somewhat based on my actual NGA/GGL/AGLA grifball team (and what counts as locker room dialogue in our Facebook chat).

Upon consultation with a non-brony friend (as well as his assistance making a transparent PNG), my avatar now has a cutie mark. It's unfortunate that the quality is low, but I can fix that later.

So pondering the matter at hoof as I walked to my office/class again, I was thinking "Hammer Shield" is a good avatar name.

In the late hours last night, I briefly considered some travel-related name seeing as I do travel a bit, but couldn't come up with anything. And I have been considering how procrastination could become a name (Procrastipony?) but have sort of disabused myself of that as an avatar name.
