While Trixie and her friends know that Corona is somehow behind this, they still must make this visitor feel welcome, even though his mysterious ability makes them more than a little nervous.

2430895 Lyra and Trixie know. But Raindrops was not present for that particular affair, so she doesn't really recognize it on first sight (hence Lyra and Trixie's freakout). There confusion is less over "what is it" and more over "what is it doing here?" After all, as far as they know, there are no creatures like Touma left in the world.
Don't beat yourself up. The only HiE fics I read are all crossovers (I'm writing one with Metroid). Having existing characters venture into pony world, in my opinion, is better. I guess it's because I see most HiE with ordinary humans as self-inserts, and that conflicts with my views.
On another note, don't you dare keep me waiting for too long. This story is awesome!
Specially since Touma talks Japanese, and Equestrian is close to English.
By the way, have you really considered the narrative/plot consequences of tossing a guy who can literally beat the crap of Corona if getting close enough to her?

You can find a translation project for the novels here. You can watch the first season of the anime on youtube as it was picked up by Funimation, along with the series' spinoff known as A Certain Scientific Railgun, which is a manga series that has also been adapted into an anime (and is now in the process of running a second season), the manga of which has been licensed and is being released in the U.S. by Seven Seas.
2467949 That helps but to help you out more take into account that in To Aru Majutsu no Index an universe in where people with powers exist and those people are measured into a scale(of how powerful they are) Touma here is a ZERO 0 neigh nothing no power whatsoever, thats beacuse (is believed) his powers is so freaking awesome that it cant be measured XD, anyway his powers consist in being able to BLOCK with his rigth hand any kind of supernatural abilities/powers/magic w/e, and to top it all is a freaking durable cqb combatant so.... yeah------
also since his power block "magic" it also blocks good luck and since the absence of good luck is bad luck his life is kinda shitty.
Why isn´t Luna even just a tiny-bitsy surprised Touma defeated Corona?

Don´t forget Touma hides a power in himself which can, and do, make the ones like Fiamma of the Right or Corona piss themselves, AND an even bigger power (which can be Touma´s total willpower itself, which would make him even more badass) to keep the former in check if Imagine Breaker is removed.
