Yeah, I actually cried a lot writing it! ^.^ Couldn't be helped. I cried and cried through Pink Eyes, but I'm a sucker for a story about a filly and her mom, and...yeah.

I'm not usually into heavy grimdark, but I'd had the 'doctor has to put something they created down along with themselves' kind of story bouncing in my head a while, and this felt like a good way to get it out of my head. ^.^

Personally, as sad as they are, I am a fan of "Bad End/Dead End" stories, as they show that not everything can or should have a happy ending. Feels were had.

I always feel like the FO:E setting has a lot of untold stories of what happened in Stables as their inhabitants died, through whatever means. I figured I'd try to tell one. ^.^

Wellllllll...I probably will? But I'm working on an FO:E fic called Long Shadows that's shaping up to be, um, long. But the shortfics tend to help me wash my brain out a little while I'm doing editing on LS chapters. :) So there'll probably be more, just not on any predictable timetable.
