I'm an irritating fangirl who also writes. A lot of my stuff is sad. I am sometimes overly sex-positive, so if you are sex-negative, I might have called you an elitist taint jockey. Sorry about that.

No wonder she was on your mind, got to love Dash. :rainbowkiss:

Short, sweet, awesome.

D'awwww. :twilightsheepish: Yeah, I had something like this rolling around in my head for a while now. It just kinda crystallized this morning.

This is exactly how I see Dash - she's not lazy, she just condenses all her work into a short space of time, then goes and does her own thing/rests.

I tend to be the same way myself, matter of fact. I have a hard time slogging through nebulous tasks, but if something's well-defined and physical, I can turn it into a science of minimal movement.

I'm not terribly athletic, but it's useful for what athleticism I do engage in.

5362536 I totally approve! :raritywink:

Rainbow was (is) awesome!
Great story!

This could've been a neat little AppleDash if there was a bit more to it. In fact that's where I thought you were headed, given the way it ended. And then it ended.

Didn't need it anyway, though. POV stories are rather hit-or-miss in many cases. This one was a solid home run. It was a shorty, but it was a goody. I feel like there could be sequels revolving around the rest of the Six, though. Have you thought about it?

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it.

The thought has occurred to me, actually. (And it's meant to hint at the Appledash, because that is best headcanon! :raritywink: )

You'll get no argument out of me. Maybe a sequel is in order to explore that possibility.

I had meant similar stories for the other girls, but a continuation isn't impossible either. :)

That was a neat little look at Dash and her weather working.

Cute, short and sweet.

What a nice little fic :) Glad you wrote it!

Dashie confirmed secret genius. All that thought process in 15 seconds? Atta girl, Dashie! Thst'd my best pony right there. Good job!

One thing I noticed in the Testing episode was that Dash is hyperobservant of physical space (like when she was watching the ground and activity there so closely). I figured that's precisely why she's fantastic at the weather: She's always paying attention to the reaction to her actions, so she can optimize all the work, batching certain aspects and leveraging the aspects of the clouds themselves.

I'm glad you two liked it, too!

hi hi

A neat little fic. Does a good job of simulating slow motion in a story.

In real life, cirrus clouds likely wouldn't produce any rain, as they evaporate when they reach lower altitudes, but it is always interesting to think about how Equestria is different from our own world.

I don't know if anyone who is knowledgeable about high level athletics would think Rainbow Dash is lazy. It is pretty typical for world class athletes to train for 4-5 hours a day, and spend much of the rest of their time resting. (Overtraining Syndrome is always a danger.)

I was doing cursory research, so blame that. Sorries! :twilightblush:

I'm glad you liked it, and yeah, it was meant to be regular grammar but feel stream-of-consciousness, to justify that it was only in fifteen seconds. Thank you!

No worries. Even the show's writers make stuff up about weather, like in Too Many Pinkie Pies, when Dash says "This punk cloud got so heavy it's making fog. Figure I'll thin this bad boy out so it floats back up." Even though fog is significantly thinner than every type of cloud except sometimes cirrus. Even a dense fog is going to be five times thinner than a thin cumulus cloud. (In real life, you have to get above about 50 meters above the Lifting Condensation Level before all of the condensation nuclei will have attracted water, and then start growing in size instead.)

Weather is just relevant to my interests though.

I will shamefully admit I was operating off a poster I saw in fourth grade with nine different kinds of clouds. :twilightsheepish:

You could write something scientifically accurate about Twilight struggling with Dash's observations to translate them into a handbook for weathermares. I think it'd prove very interesting. :pinkiehappy:

You... like Appledash? :rainbowderp:

This is a betrayal of abominable magnitude.

I like all the shipping options but AppleDash is actually touched on by canon, and it does fit well.

5366752 Pegasi spatial awareness and three dimensional thinking must be more developed from an evolutionary perspective.

Full review here, but in brief: considering you said this was "barely edited" it reads fairly well, and I like seeing Dash's more complex inner thoughts. Have a like.
