"For fun" is the best reason to do anything. "The best" is the best way to do everything.

E

Pinkamena Diane Pie is suffering from waking nightmares.
Ghostly, grossly, creepy, weepy, kooky, spooky nightmares.

But a little bit of a grandmother's love can go a long way.

Wow...no one commented on that story?
It's...well, exactly what it's said to be. A good story about Pinkie learning not to be scared of the ghosts. It basically shows how the song may came into being in the MLP universe.
Grandma Pie makes Pinkie seem...more normal. Maybe it's the fact that Pinkie is an adorable little filly? :applejackunsure:

I really enjosed the poem at the beginning too.

Hmm...anything else to say? Well, nothing other than...time for a party! First-comment party! :pinkiehappy:

this was a great story when part of the song can up i play that part:pinkiesmile::pinkiehappy::pinkiegasp::pinkiehappy:

Not anymore! :rainbowwild:

More likely, I just write Pinkie as a little more down-to-earth than what the show portrays. Which isn't hard, considering how nutty she is in canon.

Oh, good. I have a feeling that the poem turned a few readers away. I'm glad someone enjoyed it!

Aha! Why didn't I think of that!? :pinkiegasp:

Neat! I gotta tell you, I listened to that song so many times writing this... And it's still fun! :pinkiehappy:

Well, if you take some stories about Pinkie out there, canon-Pinkie actually is a lot calmer than she could be...:pinkiecrazy:

There's only so much Pinkie in every one of us...:pinkiehappy:

I really liked this story, particularly how Granny Pie seemed to be aware of the significance of specific events. It actually inspired a couple ideas for myself, as now when I think of Granny Pie I'm imagining her as a collector of myths, legends, and fairy tales. Especially if you consider Granny Pie & Nana Pinkie to be the same pony (which I do), it would lend itself well to the whole "Too Many Pinkie Pies" fiasco.

First time I watched the episode, I could have sworn she said "Granny Pie," and was disappointing to find that I was wrong. As far as i'm concerned, she's Nana Granny Pinkie Pie.

Though it would be just like Pinkie to have two super-fun legend-loving grandmothers. The mares that made her the pony she is today. Hmm...

Cool!

Yeah, I like the idea that Pinkie's actually full of the knowledge of the ancients thanks to Granny's stories. I mean, Giggle at the Ghostly, the Parasprite Polka, the Legend of the Mirror Well... She knows her stuff.

Seems to me that Granny Pie needs more than a silly little one-shot to do her justice. I look forward to seeing what you do with her, if you do write one of those stories on your blog.

Neato! Thanks for the heads up! :yay:

“It’s just… been hard.” Lemmy placed his hat on his head. “We… we lost the largest boulder. That one on the ridge, remember?” He stood up and carried his pie tin to the sink. “That was gonna account for half of our profits this year.”
Minnie Pie spoke up. “It was split right in half, and all of the jewels were gone. It was like somepony took them!”

Hah! :duck:

It's really amusing to think that Rarity's rock of destiny might have been on the Pie Farm, and from the look of the land in the two flashbacks it could even be true.

I'd really like to know more about this particular portrayal of Granny Pie.

It's always been a personal bit of headcanon to me. :twilightsheepish: It adds a connection to two characters who don't really have much interaction in the show, which is a crying shame.

I'd really like to know more about this particular portrayal of Granny Pie.

I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but she'll be a main character in the upcoming The Courtship of Pinkamena Diane Pie story. I'll be posting it once Blueblood's Ascension Part III is done. :pinkiehappy:
