I'm nothing special, but I am trying.

Never did he imagine he would return to the world that cursed his very existence, but when the sun and moon failed to rise one fateful day, something compelled him to begin the long journey home to the princess who shattered his heart.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for reading, Tun!

Wow..

That was...

That was a ride of emotion.

Well played.

It warms my heart that you guys took the time to read my story. I'm sorry I had to tug so hard on your heartstrings, though. Please forgive me? :pinkiesad2:

2491303
nothing needs to be forgiven, for you did nothing wrong.

2491308
Always among the first to read my stories, aren't you? You were the first to comment on my first one-shot, and it made my day. So again, I'd like to thank you.

2491314
you're quite the amazing author, so I consider it an honor to be amongst the first to read your works.

Sad story is sad. Has a thumb.

If I hadn't built an immunity to sad scenes I would be bawling my eyes out right now.:fluttercry: Awesome story, a little hard to make out at first but awesome.:pinkiehappy:

Very well done. I must admit, I am disappointed we were never told why Spike was banished. From the contents, it seems that it has something to with Rarity and how he loved her.

2491480
I purposely made the reasons for his banishment vague, and open to interpretation. I left some hints throughout the story, such as:
"He had tasted of forbidden fruit, so warm, so wet, and so living."
"Their land had no room for monsters."

As the reader, you are free to come to your own conclusion as to why he was sent away.

2491523 I know; it's just a shame as I was hoping to actually find out  Although, it was a excellent use of open-endedness.

My stories tend to be a bit sad and dark. I'm not sure why, I guess I'm just a terrible person. Heh. I really can't tell you guys just how glad I am you found some sort of enjoyment in my story. Words would not do it justice. :pinkiehappy:

2491536
I'm in a good mood, so if you're really curious, I could PM you what I meant by it. But shhh, don't tell anybody :scootangel:

2491547 Deal! Mostly cause I'm dieing to know if either of my two guesses are right.

2491541 It's one category that I'm not very good with. But I do enjoy it if it's well done.

Tears can't desbrie how sad this fic is.
I truly feel sad for Spike.

2491640
I'm sorry... Making readers cry was my intention, and now I feel kinda bad.

I remember the moment when I for the first time truly felt touched to the point of tears after absorbing a story. I was amazed that something so simple as a story could spark such feelings inside me. It's what made me want to become a writer. I'm glad I was able to write something that touched the life of someone. Thank you for reading.:pinkiesad2:

I can't stop... crying!! :fluttershbad: :applecry::fluttercry::raritycry:
Poor Spike...

:moustache:

A sad, sad fic.

Thank you man, I needed those emotions to be released.:fluttercry:
Fantastic writing, utterly fantastic.

Sad. Good. 'Nuf said.

Aww, you guys. I'm glad I was able to stir up some powerful emotions in you. Sometimes it feels good to be sad. It can make you appreciate the happier things in life as they deserve. :pinkiesad2:

So Twilight is sorry then proceeds to abandon Spike in a darkness worse than night.
"I should have never abandoned you"
Kills herself abandoning Spike.

It was a good story but Twilight ditching Spike at the end after apologising to him for abandoning him kinda killed it for me.

2491988
She said: "I never should have sent you away." Twilight never mentioned abandoning him, that was just how Spike's viewed it(and justifiably so). The princess might not have viewed his banishment the same way he did, seeing as she wasn't on the receiving end of it. Besides, it wouldn't be the first time someone gives up because of their regrets; depression is a powerful thing.
I am sorry it left a bad taste in your mouth. While I understand why you felt disappointed, I believe her reasoning is solid(as solid as a mind that has suffered so much can be.) Regardless, I want to thank you for taking the time reading my story. I do appreciate your feedback, and I will concede that I could have painted Twilight's side of it a bit clearer.
Have a wonderful day!

2491541 Eh, I like to think everyone has a dark morbid side to them. If people see mine half of them would probably turn emo.

2492107
Heh, yeah, I suppose you're right. We all have certain themes we prefer, and some of them might be on the dark side of the force.

I had to take some time to think about this fic. The initial reaction, of course, was the fact that it dealt an avalanche of feels -- I cried manly tears at this.
This is some extremely powerful imagery and definitely in my top 3 all-time fics. Deserves featured, if not already.

Damn that wasn't right.:ajsleepy:
So being with Twilight was forbidden, that sucks.:facehoof:
Still good story though.

2492258
I'm glad you enjoyed reading it so much. There were times when I was revising it that I just had to stop because of the feels. My goal was to make it a powerful and moving read, and it makes me feel happy inside that I managed to do that for someone. The story needs to rise past 11 other fics in order to get featured. It is unlikely, but one can hope. Personally I am more than content with the fact that people took the time to read it in the first place. Thank you so much for reading and commenting, it means a lot to me.

2492259
Society can be very harsh at times. I like to think pony society has the potential of being as flawed and culturally repressive as our own, and I try to reflect that in my fanfics. Thanks for reading.

As good now as it was when I proofread it, Norrie. Don't you ever stop writing, you hear me?

2492414
Appreciated, Laken. But you can be very scary sometimes... :pinkiegasp:

Right in the .... :applecry:

2492445
Manly tears has been shed today, but all for the greater good of literature. Thanks for reading my story.

This story is exceptionally done; it was a pleasure to proofread it for you. I had to go through it twice to have any legitimate commentary because I was so entranced in what was going to happen, so engulfed in the story, and because my heart hurt too bad the first time :c

This is an awesome story and I would LOVE to see it get featured!!!

MAKE IT HAPPEN FIMFICTION

2493249
Let us hope, Idylia. It does feel good to finally get this story off my chest, and being able to move on to new and greater things. Hopefully the next story I write will be even better.

2493260
Such is always the case! Though it may not be in popularity's sake, it most certainly will be from all the things you have learned.

2493282
I only really started writing a few months back, and I feel I've grown tremendously in the relatively short time I've been working on the craft. Listening to writing podcasts, and working together with people who are far better at writing than me have helped me improve a ton. If I keep at it--and I very much intend to--I have little doubt I'll be able to keep the the quality standard(not that it is very high to begin with. heh). Either way, thank you for helping me out, Idylia. This story would have been poorer without you. :pinkiehappy:

2493315
Your dedication is inspiring. I won't be surprised if soon you're writing things I couldn't even dream of being able to do. I know as long as you stick with it, you'll be able to do great and wonderful things.

Well, that is more great and wonderful than this particular thing. Which is pretty great and wonderful.

2493331

I won't be surprised if soon you're writing things I couldn't even dream of being able to do.

Oh shush. You are an amazingly talented writer, and far better than me. So long as you don't quit writing(and I'd never let you do that), you'll always be ahead of me where you belong. :moustache:

Hmmm, reminds me of another fic.
