Twilight discovers that one of the books in her library is housing dark magic, and, with the aid of her friends, attempts to destroy it with the Elements of Harmony. But when the book sucks them all into it's depths and brings them back to an earlier stage in their life, the fillies must fight against a world they once knew to recover the Elements and get back home.
Based off of the N64 game, Yoshi's Story. The game was given some mixed reviews, but the premise made for an interesting crossover concept. That being said, in the spirit of the game, this will sort of be a choose your own adventure. Four paths, four chapters per world. Each one has a unique story, but all will be valid choices in the long run.

You sir (or madam) are brilliant! I loved Yoshi's Story as a kid. My sister and I would always get a laugh out of the Shy Guys.

And I loved the game as well. That's why I wanted to write this so badly. It's the only game my sister was able to best me in (She's still better then me, after all these years).
And don't worry: I'm writing all four paths (parallel universe timey wimey stuff right there), so she will be climbing up and floating down that tower (That was the best level from world one, IMO).

2459189 I want to tell you who goes where so badly... but I must resist, for the sake of suspense! Fluttershy wouldn't have been a bad choice, I agree. In fact, I did consider her for those reasons... but with Jelly Pipe and Torrential Pipe thrown into the mix, Rarity was a shoe-in. So much cave drama, not-Spikey-Wikey-dragon drama, wet mane drama, Blargg drama, and of course, jelly mane drama.
Here's a vague hint, though: Pinkie is wrong about who's going to the jungle.
