This is an enjoyable read, and I look forward to seeing what happens in the future. There were few errors (that I noticed), and I in no way regret taking a moment to read this.

Beyond a castle loomed ominously.

I think you meant "Beyond, a castle loomed ominously." Keep writing, I'm sure I'm not the only one looking forward to more.

2158309 Thanks for the tip, I fixed it. Punctuation isn;t really my strong suit?

So Nevermore is the pony part of The Raven (since you said hippogriffs were pony/griffon hybrids) and Raven is the bird (beak, wings and potentially talons) part?

Behold the turtle.
...I shan't post the rest, to google-able. Let's keep this a secret. But definitely one of my favorites, I'm eager to see where this goes.

2190967 Nevermore and the Raven are the same being.

2191040 Thankee-sai, you have answered true. And nice job, you got it much faster than I thought anyone would! Hope you enjoy the story; I noticed that there was a distinct lack of crossovers with that particular story, so I took it upon myself to rectify the problem.

Do you mean were? They are separate now, right? I am confuzzled. The Raven was transformed into a raven, and there is no part where Nevermore came into play.

2194151 Sorry that you are confuzzled. The story has been in my mind for a while, and I forget that others don't know the story as well as I do. Hopefully it will become clearer in the next chapter.

Alright then. Beyond that, great story.

"I suppose we could give it shot. And I should be able to tell if'n he's lying."

You missed an "a" between it and shot.

And what's an "if'n"?

2289178 Thanks for the tip, I fixed it. Also, "if'n" is supposed to identify that Applejack is speaking. I was trying to mimic her southern accent and mannerisms.

This story has been sitting in my enormous Read Later list for a long while now, and I am honestly surprised that it doesn't have more thumbs/likes and followers. The beginning was a little slow in my opinion, but it was certainly well written, your descriptions especially. I await the next chapter.

2525312 Thanks for the compliment! Hope this next chapter is consistent with your expectations!

As a desendant of Edgar, I think this is pretty good. You have a firm grasp on dark elements, while keep it a fanfiction. All that your missing is that truely twisted mind set that he and apparently most of my family have (save for my mother, her mother, and my sister). I wish you good luck.

1) I remember no such k word.

I perked up at his news.

Gender swapped Lenore?

2586326 Fixed! Thanks for the heads up!

2586127 Glad you like it! Although this isn't a crossover with Poe, I felt the references were appropriate due to the tone I'm trying to achieve. The thing I'm actually crossing over with does reference Poe a few times (specifically The Red Masque of Death). Believe me, it will get darker...

Spooky cats Edgar and Poe?

What you did there, I see it.

"Quote the Raven....I'ma fuck you up."

YES, THE 19th COMMENT IS MINE!!!

2728782 Whatchoo talkin' 'bout?

2709073 Next chapter's gonna have a lot of references in a short period. They won't be quite so obvious...

Not to pester, but will this story be continued? It's been over six months since it's last update, and I'm genuinely interested in where you take it.

3660617 I am, actually. Just trying to even out my word count with my other story. Once they're about even (probably in a month or so), I'll alternate updates between the two. Don't worry, I know exactly where this story is headed. Hope that answers your question.

Awesome. No rush, I'm willing to wait for this story.

Cliffhangers, I suppose I can't really say anything, considering how I write. But still, fucking cliffhangers. Anyway, I still love this story, you are truly a great author. Please, continue.
