2123881 You know Pinkie considers Fluttershy off-limits when considering their pranks, so I doubt she would have given one of those cupcakes/muffins to her. In one of my initial drafts I actually had a short scene with her included planned, but never got to finish it and cut it out at some point.

And Trollestia is the best <insert_prefix_here>lestia! Seriously though, I don't think Celestia is that much of a troll, but she certainly has some mischievousness in her, too (as is shown in "A Bird in the Hoof" and "The Best Night Ever" episodes, for example).
2133430 Truth be told, I usually don't like too long chapters either. In my opinion, a good chapter length is usually about 2,000-10,000 words. Then again, if a story is good enough, I don't really care (a good example being CRISIS: Equestria, which had me occupied for the most of January, as it has really long chapters; the longest ones are over 40,000 words, while the average chapter length is about 18,000 words). I'm glad you read this story anyway, and even more glad that you liked it!

Well, what can I say? I just like a bit of dirty humor now and then.
And I'm sure I'm not the only one, but I also understand not everyone likes those, and thus I tried to be subtle with them. I could actually have left out the "horny" mention altogether (it was added during my proofreading), and I could have thought of something different for Apple Bloom, but I thought it was a funny little addition (it was just a ~200 word discussion anyway, and I made sure nothing outright explicit was mentioned).

I thought it was good... But I still think that them telling everypony about the muffins right after they eat them instead of letting them take affect before telling them I did not like so much... I mean Derpy was the only pony they did not tell about the joke after she had eaten it. While everypony else they kinda did... Or atleast half of them... And I'd had loved to have read more on what Celestia is gonna do when the cupcakes... She still had plenty.... And I know Blueblood could use a good Joke to pull that stick out of his flank!

I guess they could have waited for a little longer in some cases to see if their victims found out about the poison joke themselves. Though I think the only one they really ruined the initial surprise for was Twilight; everyone else got affected by the poison joke before being told about it (or in Applejack's case she saw Rainbow being affected), causing either freak out or genuine surprise in them—exactly what Rainbow and Pinkie had intended.
And Celestia with those cupcakes... this story was focused mostly on Rainbow and Pinkie, and I didn't want to change that. Also, this was already getting way longer than I first had intended it to be. I thought of writing a sequel about what Celestia would do with the rest of her cupcakes, but for some reason never got to write it. As it is, it's up to the reader's imagination to think of what Celestia did with the rest of those...
(Also, I just noticed it's almost exactly a year since I posted this story! Time sure flies fast nowadays...)

You are so right that there aren't enough poison joke stories! I almost thought you were going to have some special negative side effects, being hinted from Twilight's mood swing and maybe Pinkie not explicitly telling Zecora she intends to have ponies eat the poison joke. I'm also glad you made the effects vary each time! Nice little story, i'd love to see others like this!
4027651 I never intended to have any ill side effects for repeated or prolonged use of poison joke, but even then I think Twilight's reaction to using it as a baking ingredient was justified; if you encountered a plant that could inexplicably alter one's body in the ways poison joke does, wouldn't you think it could be dangerous? I think you would. At least I would, anyway.
I varied the effects of poison joke because it would have been way too boring and predictable to have the mane6 have same effects as they had in poison joke's canon debut Bridle Gossip. And I think it makes sense for the semi-random effects of the joke to be different every time, but still always somehow appropriate for the victim. I guess these varying effects are now non-canon though, since they used poison joke again in Filli Vanilli, and it had exactly the same effect on Fluttershy as it had before.
(Fun fact: this story was published exactly one year before poison joke made its second canon appearance when Filli Vanilli aired

. After reading this, I tried to think of my own Poison Joke effects for ponies, and it is QUITE difficult (especially since I'm trying to also do Spike's name puns with them). It's fun, but difficult. Were there any ideas that you almost used that you decided to scrap (other poison joke effects on the ponies you used, other ponies you were going to include but didn't)?
I guess that is in character for Twilight, but the way I saw it, they were worried about her suddenly diverging from scolding them, and played it off by saying it's something that Twilight just does (which IS something she would do). I liked the way you kept it slice-of-life-y though.
About the non-canon of it, I like the idea of it being different every time. I was always one for the Poison Joke effecting the victim in a way that goes against their special talent, personalities, etc. (which, it seems, you were too), and a pony can change sometimes. Also, it is much more funny that way, and I would think that Poison Joke would like the funniest option, instead of repeating old jokes. I was kind of saddened by the effects being consistant being canon in Filli Vanilli. Let's just say that they had to use Poison Joke on Fluttershy a bunch of times and removing other effects before the Poison Joke once again deepened her voice

Indeed. I was aiming for the jokes to be tailor made for each pony, fitting their personality or special talent somehow. I mean, Rarity's joke effect in this story (sickly green several-times-blended mane) wouldn't have had nearly as much impact on Applejack, for instance. I'd think Applejack would have just shrugged it off like it was nothing, while for Rarity it was practically the worst possible thing.
Yeah, let's go with that. They didn't exactly show them using the poison joke on screen after all.

. Yet it still took some time to come up with them. I never actually tried to come up with any nicknames for the joked ponies here though, so let's see... Twilight Hornle? Headlessloo? Sweetie Mane? Haggity (hags have messed up hair, right)? Pinklestia (yeah, this idea came from those old Celestia toys...)? Applestick? Yeah, bad puns, I know. Whatever.
I had a few other ideas, but I really can't remember any of them. I remember having a short scene including Fluttershy in the early drafts, but that was scrapped out from the final version; Pinkie considers her off-limits while pranking, you know.

As I've mentioned in some of the comments above, I'm not opposed to writing a sequel to this, but I haven't started writing any continuation to this yet. And at this point I'd say it's rather unlikely I ever will, seeing that this story has been out for over a year already.
I've been on a break from fanfic writing for a few months now anyway, but who knows, maybe I'll be inspired to write a sequel to this once I get back to writing again some day. This is one of my most liked stories after all, and it's probably the one I like the most myself too.

LOL the last one rd got was to much!
While this story was amusing at points, there are two things that prevent me from faving it, or even giving it an upvote:
1. The ending. RD getting embarrassed is something that is really difficult for me to get over unless it's done in particular ways. And being the result of a bet is NOT one of those ways.
2. The CMC scene. Pranking fillies, especially one as close to her as Scoots, is something I just can't see RD doing, not even with Pinkie helping her.
Another thing that's just strange is reading this fic after Filli Vanilli, which showed that ponies who come into contact with ponies joke suffer the same effect multiple times.
8080896 I'm at least 98% sure this was written before Filli Vanilli aired, so the author simply didn't know that one.
As for your other points...
1. She'd be at the very least annoyed that she lost, and *hugely* embarrassed by any public admission of such a loss.
2. Fairly sure RD is an equal-opportunity prankster, especially when it comes to ultimately harmless pranks she intends to "fix" the effects of afterwards.

1. While true for her character, it's more that her being embarrassed is usually more of a personal pet peeve of mine than anything else.
2. I'd be slightly more inclined to agree there if at least one prank in Griffon the Brush Off had been pulled on a younger pony.
Granted they might have pulled one and it was just one of the offscreen pranks, but still...
