You Wouldn't Understand
Discord was sitting on Fluttershy's couch with his hands on his chin, Discord didn't like being far from her just the thought of it made him feel lonely and hurt. Fluttershy walked from her room upstairs, Discord immediately tried to look as if nothing was wrong, but Fluttershy looked at him and knew something was wrong with him but she decided to wait for him to tell her.
"Good morning, Discord." Fluttershy said in a cheery tone.
"Oh, hello Fluttershy." Discord said in an obviously fake happy tone.
"Did Angel bother you at all while you slept on the couch?" Fluttershy asked.
"No Angel didn't even come close to me last night, but that's okay I don't like bunnies anyways." Discord said.
Fluttershy went into the kitchen and made some breakfast for her and Discord, she still didn't understand he was sad. It's been about three days since he wanted to stay at her cottage for reformation, and he still hasn't talked about anything other then how fun it is putting chaos into the lives of ponies. Discord walked into the kitchen and leaned on the door frame and looked down at the floor.
"Hey Fluttershy?" He asked.
"Yes Discord?" Fluttershy said.
"Can you keep a secret?" Discord said with hidden feelings in his voice.
"Well what is it?" Fluttershy asked in almost desperation but tried to hide it.
"Well," he began,"the real reason I want to be reformed is for somepony."
"Aww that's cute Discord," Fluttershy said, "who is this special somepony?" Fluttershy asked.
Discord walked up to the yellow pegasus and whispered a name in her ear. Fluttershy stopped what she was doing and looked at Discord with the widest eyes you will ever see, she opened her mouth to say the name but Discord put a zipper in her mouth before she could speak.
"Hey I said keep it a secret, you can't just yell the name out." Discord said before unzipping Fluttershy's mouth.
"But, that's insane you can't like her she's just not right for you?" Fluttershy said.
"You don't think I already know that Fluttershy!" Discord yelled and started to cry afterwords.
Fluttershy felt sad for the poor love struck god of chaos, she went over to him and tried giving him a hug but Discord shoved her away and went to the couch and laid there with tears coming out of his eyes. Fluttershy wanted to talk to him but breakfast was burning, she rushed a hay and cheese omelet and put a plate on the coffee table for herself and discord. She then moved herself over to Discord and lifted his head on her lap. He looked at Fluttershy and smiled slightly, he knew that if he stayed at any of the other elements of harmony that they would just laugh at him and say he has no shot to get her. After eating a somewhat burnt breakfast Fluttershy wanted to try to cheer Discord up.
"Hey Discord, you want to talk about how you got these feeling for her?" Fluttershy asked.
Discord's heart weld up a little inside, he never really told anyone about these feelings before. So why not tell your only friend? Discord sat back up right and let loose a deep sigh, then he began to tell a story that happened not too long ago.
After Twilight Sparkle and her friends turned him into stone Discord couldn't move anymore but he could still hear and think about things that go on around him. He saw many tourist ponies take pictures and look frightened at the slightly disturbing look on his face. He was made fun of by many guards that patrolled the castle, they were mocking him, calling him names and even, yes urinating on him. Discord felt a rage that no other pony has felt ever in history. He was thinking of many plans to escape that stone prison and destroy all in his way but one day when he was plotting against the new guards that relinquished their fluids on him, she came along and scowled them for doing such things to him in secrecy.
"How dare you, all of you, you are guards for the princess of the sun and moon," She started at first, "that is the lowest priority that any guard could to a harmless stone statue like that, it's ponies like you that make things like Discord hate the world and all around it, I hope your happy with what you've done to him." The guards didn't like being yelled at by her. No pony did really, she was a nice caring mare but get on her bad side then there will be hell to raise. After hearing her somewhat speech of why Discord does what he does he started to think that all ponies are bad. Some nights she would come and visit with him, sure Discord couldn't talk but she felt like she knew his reactions, if she did show any signs of her liking him then Discord never noticed it. For he himself was lost in her deep rosy eyes and her flowing mane, he felt feelings for her that he had never had before. About one week before Celestia took him to Ponyville to be reformed she came and talked to him again.
"Hey Discord, sorry I'm late work today was real hard on me." She said.
I couldn't care less if you were here an hour later, now that you are here my day is already brighter. Discord thought.
"I know you don't like hearing about this but I really hope the plans set out for you to be reformed will go through, the only thing's that we have left to cover are transportation and repairment if you destroy something." she said with a bright smile on her face.
If only I could be released from this stage so I can show you how I feel my love. Discord thought.
"I honestly hope that reforming you will work because, well your like a friend to me and I would like to hear you thoughts on many of the subjects we have together." She looked up at the sky seeing the moon being raised tonight by Luna.
"Dang it, if work hadn't keep me out for so long I would love to stay and chat more but I have to get some rest I still have important things to do tomorrow, Discord promise me that when you do get out of the stone prison that you will not harm any pony who made fun of you for me?" She asked before leaving and saying her farewell.
You're the only reason why I'm still happy right here and now. Discord thought crying if he would.
It was about two days now that Discord would be sent off to Ponyville for reformation training. That night she came by again and talked about how she was worried that Discord would do something wrong and ruin everything, but she had no worries she thinks that as long as she keeps talking to Discord, he wouldn't do anything that wrong. Discord finished his story while sniffling and crying tears of sorrow, Fluttershy hugged him and looked at him straight in the eye.
"If you ever need anything Discord, you can talk to me anytime." Fluttershy said.
Discord hugged Fluttershy back and smiled big, it was good having a friend to talk to about these things even when it hurts you to talk about it.
All things that happened in "Keep calm and Flutter on" happened but after Discord melted the ice on Sweet Apple Acre's, Discord went back inside Fluttershy's cottage and cried ever so deeply. Not only did he break a promise to his only friend and felt terrible about it, he also broke her promise to not destroy anything while he was here in Ponyville. Fluttershy came in and went in to hug Discord from the side crying for she herself felt bad for doing that to Discord.
"I ruined everything Fluttershy, now'll she will never talk to me after she hears of this!" Discord said while crying almost gallons of tears at a time.
"There, there now Discord I'm sure she will understand, besides if knows you like I do or more, then she will forgive you no matter what." Fluttershy said smiling at Discord to show everything is fine.
Discord looked at his new friend. "You're right, Fluttershy maybe she can forgive me for one little accident." Discord said.
The next day Celestia would be back in Ponyville to pick up the newly reformed Discord, he was happy enough when he got Fluttershy's trust but he got to see her again. Celestia landed on the road's of Ponyville and talked to Twilight Sparkle and friends about their success, she looked at Discord and motioned him to get on the same charoite as her. Discord blushed slightly at the fact that the princess was so trust worthy of being seen with him, and she hasn't even give him a test to prove it. The guards took off Discord waved at Fluttershy knowing that he will see her again soon because they had a lot to talk about after a few months of living at the castle. The only things that were in ear shot of a conversation was the guards and Celestia. Discord took this moment to confess his feeling to her.
"Look Celestia, after that day when you stood up for me when those guards were urinating on me I had this kinda of feeling that I just can't hold anymore, aw hell I'm just going to say it," Discord paused as Celestia looked at him. "Look Celestia, I love you, I've loved ever since that day and I will never stop loving you until the day I die." Discord said with confidence and bravery as he finished. Celestia held a hoof up to her mouth in shock.
"Discord, that's sweet really it is, but I can't say the same about you, I don't know if I love you the same way you love me, but lets try to take this to a speed that we both could be comfortable at okay?" Celestia said with sadness and gray tone.
Discord then woke up on Fluttershy's couch, he held his hands to his chin and almost cried. Fluttershy was walking down stairs from her room to get some breakfast.

It didn't made me cry, but it did gave me feels.
Quite honestly, I didn't really like it, so here's some advice, I suppose. One thing about fanfiction is that you're working with already defined characters who act in certain ways in certain situations (including speech patterns). Try to think how the characters would act in certain situations (the whole wanting to be reformed thing didn't work well with the parts of cannon you were associating it with, although this could theoretically be remedied by ignoring said cannon).
Also, look out for gramatical mistakes (you have a lot of them).
Last, but definitely not least, stick with it. Keep writing and trying to improve upon your capabilities. Don't let negative feedback get to you too much. Everyone starts somewhere.

2122732 Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you. If you want to make a sad story with a romantic tag, make sure your story is longer. It will give the readers more build up, pulling them closer to the story. If you want to make a one shot story that makes the reader cry, or at least have feels. Make sure your plot is sad as hell. Like this one. Link
Bravo. I felt that you did a ver good job at giving Discord's character some depth. It can be difficult at time to write a story like this but you still did a great job at it.
I do have to admit that i was rooting for Discord's confession to go well and when it didn't i did feel sorry for him. in life there will always be that person or in this case pony that we can't be with but that doesn't mean the feelings will ever go away.
Thank you for such a great story to read, i was both touched and inspired by it and i hope to hear more from you later on

That was a nice story. I liked Fluttershy's bond with Discord.
I like it how Princess Celestia didn't immediatly feel comfortable with him. Celestia seemed to have a realistic reaction to Discord's feelings for her. I felt so bad for Discord when the guards started peeing on his statue.
The ending was sort of abrupt. I think you should write a sequel about how their relationship goes. There are so many possibilities. Maybe have him and Celestia argue sometimes. Maybe they could break up for a short amount of time and she could get with a boringly perfect alicorn he could be jealous of. Discord could get angry and go back to his old ways. Luna could be over protective of Celestia. Maybe Discord could even save Princess Celestia's life to make her trust him again. Great job! Keep up the good work!

2495072 Don't know why it took me ages to say this but he actually had a dream about confessing to her. Sorry about that ending, I am thinking about writing a sequle to this story not quite sure yet. With school and all I barely have time for ponies.
