But a rainbow's easy once you get to know it with the help of the magic of a pegasus device.
We all know the story of the Rainbow Factory, of how Rainbow Dash had gone mad and done unspeakable horrors. But how did it all come to that? How was it that Rainbow Dash, known for her loyalty, descended into such madness? This is Rainbow Dash's story of losing herself to that dreaded factory, for as we all know, in the rainbow factory not a single soul gets through.

i thought the sadest part of this short story was when the machine killed dash and her body fell to the ground and the last thing she saw was scoots crying over her and she was watching her the last bit of life was going away from her body
389794 The worst part was that it was the good part of Dash that died and her will was no longer her own. It's basically indoctrination, same as the ending to Mass Effect 3, but I did it first.
The reality of the Rainbow Factory would be horrifying, and I do prefer this version how the ponies are corrupted and indoctrinated rather than saying "I'm okay with slaughtering children as a job"

It's an interesting take on the rainbow machine to make it a sentient evil entity that almost has a mind of its own, it helps explain how the factory workers would be able to put up such a facade outside its walls without suffering psychotic breaks left right and center from the horrific acts they help perpetrate

I loved the original rainbowfactory, and I like a lot of fanfics and alternate endings of it as well. Including this one.
Very daring to write something like this, but I think it wasn't bad at all.
I think it just miissed out on an important thing from the original story. RD was allowed out of the factory. How was she able to handle that the first times? I would love to see that in the story as well.

Dang... pretty good dark fic IMO... only thing I see wrong is a little typographical error, and what one other comment said about dash being allowed to leave the factory. Both of those are minor if you ask me. Here's the sentence with the typo, in case you wanted to find it quickly with [ctrl+f] rather than scanning for it on your own :P.
