Ditzy to Derpy
Hello everypony! My name is TwilightSparkle, although I'm sure you all knew that already. Today I'm here to discuss with you a rather interesting topic and to get right to it! I heard recently about much talk a particular Pegasus pony who wasn't RainbowDash for once. That Derpy expression, those clumsy Hooves, yes this presentation is about… Fluttershy!
I'm kidding I'm kidding, this is about the pony Ditzy doo, or more so Derpy Hooves. I was told that her popularly recently skyrocketed, so Celestia gave me the task of showing research of her "for all the bronies." I'm not sure what she means by that, but hey, it's something I have time to do!
Now, let's get started. Let's start on how she became derped. When I first entered the Ponyville library, Pinkie pie gave me an, unexpected surprise party. How she managed to round up all those ponies that quickly into one place still confuses me today, but she's Pinkie. You know I'd like to try to do research on her, but last time I did that it didn't end well…
Oh, I'm sorry! I got completely off topic!! Anyway, at the party there was this grey Pegasus with the Derpy expression. What happened is that she had a mild, really mild case of serious brain damage. Okay not really, she had a bit of a "lazy eye," causing it to wander to the opposite of the other. It caused her disorientation at times and made her...well, derped.
It was a mild case at first and rarely lasted for more than an hour at longest. As days passed however her disorder lasted for much longer. From an hour to periods of the day, till eventually it became permanent. She gained some nicknames such as Stoneface, Bubbles, Bubblehead, and some still called her by her first name, Ditzy. Most ponies however started to call her Derpy Hooves, obviously; and she became so used to it that one day she had her name legally changed to that title.
Now that we have that part done, do you know the muffin mare? Oh You DO, do you? The one who live in pony lane? Well, it's time to discuss this highly.
When Applejack "helped" PinkiePie make muffins, aka the famous "baked bads," Derpy, still Ditzy at the time, became famous for saying that line, "MUFFIN!!" But…what I am about to tell you will shock everypony.
Ditzy doo WAS NOT the pony who said muffin! I kid you not, exceedingly close observation reveals that it was instead a unicorn in the front row, Colgate I think it was. Pinkie pie told me that little fun fact, interesting I guess. Here, see for yourself! You'll see it eventually, i think.
You may be thinking, "Oh, so Ditzy/Derpy never was the muffin loving mare?! MY LIFE IS A LIE!" Well, not so. You see, Ditzy was always happy to get pastries from Sugercube corner. However, when she saw all the ponies around blowing chucks after their meal, Ditzy wisely decided not to eat the mush- muffin.
Instead, she decided that she wanted to try to make a better muffin, but she needed money to do so, not to mention her daughter Dinky doo.
Speaking of Dinky Doo, she is the Unicorn filly of Derpy. No one really knows who the father was. Many say it was most likely a unicorn, but given pony genetics, it's impossible to tell. Derpy takes care of her daughter the best she can, though she does sometimes still mix up her lunch with her homework sometimes.
So anyway, after the muffin incident, Ditzy doo soon got a job as a mail mare to raise money; though she might have had that job even before this. However, her eye was starting to become more disorderly, and thus…
well let's just say that wasn't a happy day for me or my head.
Assuming by how I often see Derpy hooves in a muffin train, I guess she retired to the muffin business, though she might still be a mail mare at weekends or other days.
There are many theories how she got her cutie mark. Some say due to her clumsiness with packages she invented bubble wrap. I think that she used to play a lot with bubbles as she was a kid. But who knows…oh right, I should. Well, sorry, but I don't know that much…hehehh… research is still being made...for the most part. There are many ways one can get a cutie mark after all.
Well, anyway, that's my summary of Derpy hooves in a muffin shell. Well that didn't take to long. Well, thank you for reading everypony, and I hope to see you again…dispite the fact I don't see you at all.

Just one thing to correct thought, and don't be mad, it's just bugging me.
In the first paragraph on the third sentence, it is not "certain particular." It is either "certain" or "particular."

163947 Well, I'm working on my first story, and I'm going to be having Ditzy/Derpy as part of the story. Sadly inspiration is evading me a bit and I have to look around for something to relight my creative thinking, of course to get my mind flow working where I want it, I need to find inspiration that matches the content of the work I'm on, otherwise I end up with a big mush of whoknowswhat with a side of broken thoughts. My mind just works in that strange way.
I must say that your work with the pictures is a very nice effect with this story. Makes me wish I could actually draw. But reading this has provided me with some inspiration that I can get back to work on the story for a bit. So hopefully I should have this darn third chapter up so that I can get to work on the forth one.
Now I did say I was expecting a bit more, but that was just my expectations, they always expect more. What you did here was just perfect. Now if you are able to add a bit more, feel free to do so.
And I'm sorry that this came out as a lot of rambles, but when asked to get a point, my mind likes to give out as many points as it can. The hard part is keeping those points in order and on subject.

You know... i have other stories that i'm making, but before i post i'll need some prereaders... If you're bored i may let you review my stroies, if you want.
I think it's very cute~ I could really imagine Twilight lecturing me on Derpy. Probably the only thing that bothered me was some typos but that's pretty much it. You should definitely write more of these kind of things. Perhaps a whole series of Twilight talking about each pony in the series? It would be interesting.
223012 i might, though the main rason i made this was cause much of derpy cannon didn't make sence to me.
I may try one of the nightmare moon. The starting stort in the first episode said NMM was born of envy of the younger sister, fraust said she was turned into NMM ageinst her will...CANON, IT MAKES NO SENCE
the MUFFIN line was both colgate and derpy if you look at it colgate's and derpy's mouths moved the exact same way at the same time
