Growing up with Nords would either result in their dislike lessening over time, and him being tolerated, or him becoming used to their ways and simply accepting it. Neither of those should result in him leaving if he truly loved Windhelm. Two, Argonians aren't human, you would expect him to correct the ponies on that matter. Even growing up with Nords would not make him believe he's a human, I would be surprised if he didn't know of the Hist and the actual origins of the Argonians.
And finally, he seems too accepting of his surroundings. Maybe make him question if Equestria is an Oblivion Realm, with Celestia as it's Daedric Prince? That at least would seem somewhat more plausible to him, I'd imagine.
And finally, his name. It's not an Argonian name. It isn't even a Nord name. Or an Orc, Breton, Redguard or elf name. Please try to change it to something a bit more lore-friendly.

That was the original concept, actually.
I decided on a lighter tone since he's based off my real Argonian, Hobo Joe (hence Josephsus), who wears chef's clothing and chases chickens. Hobo Joe has not learned of the Hist (he's convinced he's a velociraptor) and thinks that the other Argonians are cosplayers envious of his beauty.
Obviously, I'm only lore-serious when it comes to my Warhammer fics. I just make a big joke out of the Elder Scrolls.
