3751536 I hope I can persuade you to reconsider whether or not this was really "Bad Characterization." Yes, Rarity was a giant prick. Yes, she acted in a way that the show hasn't explicitly identified. No, she was not acting in a way that wasn't rooted in the deepest tenets of her character. Rarity strives to, above all else, mitigate tensions with her friends. She, as much as any of them, wishes no harm to come to them. Her misplaced emotions stemming from her personal problems are directed towards Fluttershy when she perceives that Fluttershy is harming herself and others. Her heralding of her own chastity has its roots in her snobbish behavior, but her crusade against Fluttershy is rooted in her desire to keep the peace. Rarity is not a prick because I don't like her, Rarity is a prick because this story needed conflict, and it could be built into her character. While it is true that I don't like her, and would have left her out if I hadn't used her as a source of conflict, I think that her actions teach a valuable lesson, and she is more than properly characterized in Chapter 6b.
That was great Though I don't like Rarity myself but I can understand the other characterization conceptions I thought you did go a little too far but I understand the need for conflict and I can enjoy how you wrote Rarity in I thought it was funny though so I can live with it I WANT MOAR SOON If that is alright with you
I would probably have enjoyed the conflict/resolution a bit more if I hadn't read Juicebox's anti-Rarity speech. I have felt that the story was becoming predictable.
Gah.... Rarity is still a mega bitch...

3750383 Heyyyyyyyyy. There's that animosity I've been expecting!
That being said, I was hoping for a more cultured and informative dissidence.
