It all begins when Pinkie Pie befriends a wounded Green Lantern. Follow her and the other Lanterns of Planet Equis as they battle to keep Sector 1847 of the universe safe from the forces of evil.
Okay, so this is being written because i caught superhero fever and it was the easiest story to focus on while being sick. All i'm working with is what i know based off my limited exposure to all things Green Lantern, and what the Wiki tells me, so please don't complain about continuity and stuff. It's a Fan Fic; it belongs to it's own continuity. the Story will be a long one, over all, and will mostly feature Pinkie for a large portion of the begining chapters. I will add more character tags as i intoduce other super important characters. Also, there will be Human GL's in this.
Mlp Fim is owned by Hasbro and the hub.
Green Lantern and all related things belong to DC.
I own the story and the OC's.
Mass Effect and all other affiliated things of that sort belong to Bioware.

Ok, I read the first chapter and I got say, that for someone who doesn't much about green lantern you're off to a great start.
Somethings I'd like to see in this fic(your fic, so your choice if you use them or not): 1. Please have her confornt Darkseid (Pronounced Dark side) because the personifiction of evil and order facing pinkie would be funny as hell, 2. At some point, the weakness is going to come up. The weakness is fear(also called the yellow impurity or Parallax fear anomally because, well the light of fear is yellow in color. So, as long as the Green lantern is not afraid or scared, the ring can in fact affect yellow), not the actual color yellow, so address this in someway as to drive that point. 3. The guardian are not really that 'bright', they let Hal Jordon go and replaced him with SInestro (the guy who betrayed them all, and made Hal go kill'em all on the corps in the first place, they got better, but still, they're a bunch of ****s. So they DESERVE Pinkie, and 4. Research the crap out of green lantern lore so you have an idea what you want to use and what you don't. The Continuity of the corps is flexible, so you could make changes to that as long as you stick to the core of what green lantern is.
Also; I want to see Guy Gardner **** a gold brick after Kilowog tells him to train Pinkie

1.oh my gosh, i didn't think about Pinkie meeting Darkseid (i always saw him as more of a superman villain) but i might just do it for fun (maybe have her meet batman while she's at it.)
2. the according to the wiki, the Yellow impurity has actually been removed from the rings at times, but yes, it most likely will come up.
3. funny you should mention the Guardians...Yes, Pinkie will be meeting with them, probably in the near future, because it wouldn't be right to not have her try and be their friends..
4. i have done my homework on the lore and stuff, though it was mostly a skim over wiki pages. you can definately expect one or five Pinkie Vs. Sinestro and the Sinestro Corps fights to occur sooner or later. I also might be (no promises, lest i spoil a surpise) bringing in the Star Saphires, the red lanterns, the blue lanterns, and maybe (if i'm feeling particularly brave about the story) Agent Orange.
also, feel free to sugest villains all you want, goodness knows i need help thinking up more.
PS. the start really wasn't that good; just the generic lantern recruiting process (start chapter, kill random alien, dies giving ring, hero says oath and wins a free bubble ride) I just put my own spin on it and added a bit of Pinkie Pie.

1618259 Well, the advantage to Green Lantern for making a fan fiction is that it has an easy way to get the character into the situation. All you need is an alien to crash on somepony's property and give them the ring and there you go!
For instance, to do Batman, you need to kill the character's parents at a young age and then have them travel the world for a long time to become Batpony.
With Superman, you need them to come from an alien planet.
So overall, Green Lantern is the easiest to adapt.

It sure as heck is easier than trying to pull off Captain Planet (which is actually a project i'm also working on at the moment). Still, if i had to pick a super hero i wanted to do the most for a fic, I'd choose Static Shock (He's the Spiderman of DC comics, only he's not as popular because the actual Spiderman has had more time to get fans).

1618621 I don't know if that was a good 'OMG' or a bad 'OMG'. but yeah, i have a captain Planet Fic in the making. the whole 'Eco Villains' thing is a problem, since...well...it's ponies. but i think i've actually managed to make it work with what i have so far (which is all brain storming mind you). The Villians are evil and terrorize the environment and blah, but they have more depth to them then the ones in the show (in my opinion anyways), and the Planeteers do as well. It's much darker than the actual show, all and all, but not so much that it doesn't keep with the same 90's cartoon spirit. besides who doesn't want to see the CMC (plus Pip and Rumble) get magic rings that can control the elements of nature?

About the weakness, it was removed completely in the 90's when DC made Kyle Rayner the only lantern. It was brought back as a weakness in Green lantern: Rebrith in 2004/2005, where it was modified in its current form (until then, the weakness was literally the color yellow, as in anyone wearing yellow yellow or had yellow item could basically beat the ever loving crap of any GL besides Kyle. It was removed because it was a idiotic weakness because of that little fact).
As for villains; I suggest Superboy-prime (he'd be an anti-villain in his chapters, because she somehow could break the 4th wall and reach earth prime just to tell to stop being a meanie pants, and he spend most of his time running away from the crazy pink pony he seeing, Because he thinks he's going out of his mind,everyone else on earht-prime who sees her just go
), Krona, Yellow Lantern (as a Joke villain), Anti-Monitor, and the Manhunters (Marehunters in this case). And Darkseid is the main villain for the the entire DCU, so he's an all purpose villain. Also Guy Gardner as her Sitcom Archnemesis, (I just see Guy being the most hosital of the earth based lanterns she'd encounter on Oa, John would all

It's better than most, some just use Abin Sur as the alien without thinking about Hal Jordan and some have him as an active lantern before Abin dies. Yours uses an entirely different alien, with a superman class backstory (last survivor of his planet type of deal) and deals with said dieing alien landing in front of a MLP character by having the character acting like she would with anypony else (except Zecora that one time). This is one of the better GL MLP FIM crossovers I've seen. I seen 4 before, they just don't do Green Lantern justice.
BTW; is the other Equis Green Lantern Really Awesome, or is pinkie 20% cooler than her?

Actually, I wasn't thinking of Rainbow as the GL, that 20% cooler joke was actually a question to you of which Equis lantern you thought was cool Pinkie or the other one you mentioned in the story. I thought it Twilight from the get go (she will be in my DC crossover when I actually start it, first I have to deal with working on my first fic's first Chapter. Making a Kamen rider decade MLP crossover is taking more effort to write than I though. Final form rides for the ponies also make the concept difficult, plus the fact I'm planning to allow someponies to temporarily become riders makes it harder). Now, after reading the second chapter, I know for a fact it can't be any member of the mane 6 since we knew and/or saw what they were doing during the changling invasion. So it's either Lyra, a unicorn I don't remember, or an OC (Trixie just doesn't fit the "chosen because you can over come great fear" motto of the lanterns).

Also, this is an alternate universe fic, most specifically because there was no Green Lantern running around during the changeling invasion on the show. things may have happened diferently. Twilight might have gotten a power ring and gone one on one with Chrysalis. Or maybe Rarity was flying around, saving the day. Could have been Trixie too; she may have beaten an Ursa Major by being a GL.
And lets not forget the other possibilities: Colgate, Twinkle, Lemon Hearts, Fleur De Lis, Quick Fix, Twilight's Mother, Vinyl Scratch, Sweetie Belle, and every other unicron mare on the mlp wiki list of unicorns. Heck, it might even be a rogue Changeling.
The only one i will say that it 100% absolutely isn't is Sparkler, and that's because you saw her in the TARDIS.

Changeling Lantern? Maybe, maybe not. As for the other elements of harmony, if they aren't the first lantern (the one that came before Pinkie) then they probably won't become a GL...
In any case, there will be (atempted) comedic interactions between Pinkie and the new GL. Next Chapter will mostly be about the newer one, with a quick bit about how they got the ring and then them joining Pinkie in training, as well as adressing why Hal said things were going to become a complicated mess.
