“Vinyl Scratch” has always wanted a normal life…which is really hard when you’re Princess Calliope, Alicorn Daughter of the Princess of the sun. She’s managed to keep her existence a secret for so long, but only through the clever use of magic and by never getting close to anypony (although she had a really close call at one particular fashion show in ponyville), not to mention a lot of hard work from both her and her mother. However, nopony is an island unto herself; "Vinyl" finally decides to risk it and get a friend. The unfortunate series of events that follows may ruin her life or make it better than ever.
Takes place after the Return of the Crystal Empire, but diverges from the time line from there.
MLP:FIM and all related things belong to Lauren Fause, The Hub, and Hasbro.

"You're faithful student" -> "Your faithful student"
And a question that isn't answered by the story explicitly yet: Is 'Vinyl Scratch' a complete alternate persona - a different personality to go with those looks - or is she a 'masks down' version of Calliope, where she can indulge in her music and her love of performance without people automatically kowtowing to her noble birth?
I hope she learns a thing or two in her time in Ponyville!

First off, a little constructive criticism: Vinyl Scratch, AKA Princess Calliope, is Celestia's daughter. WE GET IT! You can actually use her name instead of calling her Princess Celestia's daughter or the princess 90% of the time.
That said, this is a good concept and good story so far, please continue it!
