We've all made some very strange or regrettable choices in our lives. For me, most of mine were forgotten the next day, but this one simple choice had now burdened me with the task of overthrowing a Princess. I'm not from this world, I was once from Earth, living my life as best I could, and now because of someone named Discord, I'm in a place know as Equestria. My entire life is now at risk. If I do this job that the God of Chaos has tasked me with, I can live, if not, I die. I'm not going to like what I'm about to do, but I'm more afraid of dying by the hand of my own personal nightmare.

While I appreciate the constant, stream-of-thought narration of the protagonist and the concept of the story, I must level a few criticisms.
First, I personally disliked the way the protagonists attitude basically went from 'If I must die so that others may live, so be it' to 'OhmygodIdon'twannadiewhatdoyouwant?' a little too quickly.
Secondly, I also disliked the protaganist essentially saying 'The Apocalypse is sending me to a magical land of talking ponies to overthrow their all-powerful ruler.

It just chafed on my way of thinking is all. I'm sure it will make more sense as more chapters are introduced!

This fic seems awfully similar to one I've seen on fanfiction.net, where the guy took Discord's spot completely and called himself Paradox. It also had generic mane 6 shipping in it and that killed it for me. I like how this fic is going and it's pretty good so far. Is the character intentionally causing Pinkie to feel worthless or is this part of Discord's stealth plan to ruin the Element holder's resolve when the big showdown happens? I just can't get the feeling that his cutie mark will change when he starts making them weaker and less harmonious. That's just my guess, but is this the direction your going for? Good Job so far, will fav it for now.

I haven't seen that fic you mentioned but I can assure you, it is not going to be like that. More of the plot will show up in later chapters but for now, all I can say is this story will not end the way you might expect it to.
