Last week, I got up at about 6am and I just curled up under my covers in the warm embrace of the bed, thinking about whether or not I should get up and revise, since I have my mocks in a few weeks. Of course, being the lazy cretin that I am, I didn't want to do that, and I tried to convince myself that it would be a bad idea. I started to debate with myself if waking up that early just to do a few hours of revision was going to be worth it and I ended up mentally writing out a schedule for the day that showed when I would finish revising if I got up at 6, and when I would finish if I slept for a few more hours.
I went through the pros and cons of both sides and in the end, both sides seemed to have equally good arguments so I didn't know what to do. Eventually, as I compromise, I got up at 6:30 and wrote a story. This story.
I'm not 100% convinced that this is a story, and a part of me thinks that it's going to be rejected...I've actually be debating whether or not I should even post this, because there doesn't seem to be a lot of point to it. In the end, I decided that it was worth a shot since I'd already written it, so here it is. Hopefully some people like it.

Aw, you could've pushed his to 10K words easy. The story was good, but there's one detail you forgot: Spike's bed is next to Twilight's now, not at the foot. It was at Dragon Quest that the writers must have realized how messed up it was to have one's younger sibling sleeping in the same position as a pet.
The end reminded me of Red Dwarf, though. There was a scene in one of the later episodes where Lister was contesting falling asleep or relieving his bladder.

We’ve all been there, the morning when you have nothing on your schedule and you think oh I’ll sleep in. Next thing you know in our was buying your sleep schedule wasn’t well just messed up.
