2076379 I purposefully didn't include the cause of death because it really isn't relevant. It's up to the reader to decide exactly how it happened. The only information I provided somewhat was in this line
"To have somepony you love more than life just ripped away like that..."
Instead of using the word "taken", I chose "ripped", a more violent term, to indicate that however Dinky Hooves died, it was very sudden, rather than a disease that would take a long time. I can't give you any more details, because there really aren't any. The focus of the story was the impact of the death on Derpy, rather than the death itself.
