Hmm.
Whilst I certainly don't like the story, I can understand what you say about needing to write it. I myself have had a similarly awful idea for a fic which lingers in my mind, although I haven't progressed any further with it than writing down a (very) basic plot outline. I argue with myself whether I should write it, whether I want to be that sort of author, because even though it's horrible the idea is nonetheless there.
I suppose this wasn't intended to be likeable, but thought-provoking, which it certainly was. You raise valid points about accountability and the necessity to protect victims and potential victims from harm. This is certainly not a clopfic, and I should hope no-one considers it as such.

I liked what you said about the tactics of Child Molesters, and how they can make, not only the town feel guilty, but the victim as well.
I believe this is a great setup for a horror fic. I dunno... Maybe I'm just a dark/gore obsessed fan-girl, but the other fics I've read like this just don't do it right. I believe 'close to home' is a the phrase. I positively 'Squee'ed at the last sentence, shivered slightly, and then ate a doughnut...

I feel cheated. This story doesn't feel completed.
This shouldn't be in A/N. You could get for example Chief Detective Pinkie and Lowly Assistant Twilight(as close to canon detectives as one can get) and make them resolve foal molesting case. This single sentence can easily be expanded into several chapters examining why Cheerile and other do nothing about Derpy, why it is bad and why they should feel bad.

Aside from desperately needing an 'alternate universe' tag, this is very well done. little to no errors too, nice job. As an editor, I approve.
The human in me thinks this story is god-awful, but the sadist in me says Mucho Gusta.
