It looks good, but since it was mostly a copy paste of the previous one it's hard to tell. For the next chapter, try and put more of your own stuff so we can get a proper idea of the potential of the story. But for now, I'm watching.

I do realize this first chapter has a lot copied and pasted, but that is mainly because it's pretty much a preview of what happened. The next chapter will be mostly original.

I sense things of epic proportions will occur...

The prequel had a lot of flaws, several redundancies, the flow, sequencing, and dynamics of the dialogue, the way the author described events, the portrayal of some characters seeming off, and the convenient turn of events throughout and at the end of the story. It turned out sub-par in spite of the potential of the premise.

You'll fix that here, right?

I would like to know just who the hell is comfortable writing Faust in Equestria.

Apparently the answer is two people.

I'm not even comfortable with this thing existing, much less reading it, much less creating it or seeing it done and then deciding it needed to be done more.

And for god's sake clean up your synopsis. You have this really creepy idea and then you show me evidence that it's not even going to have spotless grammar...

As a personal deduction, for Tara and Lauren to realistically meet like that, there's a possibly good chance of a brony convention somewhere close. They are not that close distance wise. The phone call part is probably reasonable enough though.

Hopefully this will end better than the first one, which after reading the ending got a downvote and a removal from someone's favorite list.

I find chapter two better than the first, but it's going to be hard to make this sequel work with how great the first one was and how popular it is.

The dialogue is only marginally less awkward than the first, and you keep confusing your tenses (ARG!), but other than that, seems good enough so far.

I just think that the characterization is not very convicing. For instance, the way Lauren shows how she perceives those dreams as memories is honestly, bland, it feels awkward the way she umm explains/talks to other people. That is talking about style. I mean, I like the way this story can go, I still want to see how story proceeds.

the Slice of Life tag implies the story will be about everyday life,

On a serious note and in ROYAL CANTERLOT CAPS LOCKS, WE FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THAT FAUST INTENDS NO HARM. WE DEMAND THE MARE'S HEAD ON A PIKE!

While I loved the original, I'm not liking this one quite as much. The story, tone, and particularly the distinctive style are still the same, but you're a different author, and it shows. The quality of the writing itself has dropped slightly - not very much at all, really - but I'm noticing lots of minor grammatical errors, particularly with your extreme overuse of semicolons. Also, some of the sentence structure is a bit awkward, but there's really nothing that can be done about that, especially since it's not actually wrong in any way. In any case, I recommend you get a good proofreader or at least read up on when to use semicolons and when not to use them.

Of course this chapter leaves alot of questions to answer in later chapters. What is Faust's plot this time? Who will show up next? Does Lauren still have the ability to use magic? If so does she need to be taught how to use it? (Cause I don't remember her getting lessons while in Equestia, but it has been awhile since I read the first few chapters of Imagination...) How will Craig respond to Luna? How will the ponies respond to our world? Will Pinkie Pie find the Internet? Will I ever stop asking questions?
