CrackedInkWell

This story is a sequel to A Silent Film

If you were to ask Vintage Cinema, a writer of true mystery books, Applewood has a long history of darkness underneath the glitz and glamor. His attention has turned to the Equestrian Society for Film Preservation in hopes of finding a film that is linked to his ancestor who disappeared during the silent film era. While his hunch does pay off, he finds that the film he has been looking for might have more than one mystery wrapped in its film reel.

A huge thank you to Lotus Moon and her cast for bringing this story to life.

Great work. It evokes the feeling of being an entry in a long, long, long running series of horror pieces... although it raises a question of did the dark magic summon both the director and the actor? (e.g. how many entities were summoned?). Or, is that an answer for the inevitable sequel? :pinkiecrazy:

If I understand this correctly... everypony who has ever watched it was transformed into a celluloid film. Vintage mentions getting stretched thin and being burnt alive, suggesting that some sort of lethal transformation spell is at play here. Any thoughts?

This is a great story! Great job!

Hey, is it alright if I narrate this story on my YouTube channel? I’ll give you credit.

Absolutely. I love to see how others adapt my stories.

I’m sorry to say I have just now read this. Life intervened and I was unable to read when you posted this. I love it!

I believe that rather then the actual Director being summoned by the curse, it was instead a dark echo. The Darkness in the Director's heart. Why else would he act so cold or nonchalant at the end? Especially considering WHO was being abducted.

A fun and gripping sequel.
