Many stories have been told of monsters hiding underground; great beasts that lurk deep below and prey on any ponies that are foolish enough to enter their lairs.
Sometimes, however, there is something far more sinister than any beast. Sometimes, the monsters are hiding in plain sight, and you just can't see them because the lighting isn't just right. Sometimes, things that are seen as safe and approached as if they were safe turn out to be the greatest monsters of all.

The story is finished, and while I plan to do more with the lore, there's not really a sequel to this.
Art is dead, though. All the way dead, not coming back. That pool of liquid is based off the pitcher plant, and the mushrooms are some combination of peat moss and the mushrooms from Grounded. He and his sister are dead.
