I also have a couple suggestions:
1) Put your story through a grammar-checker. The grammar isn't horrible by any means, but it needs some work. Some sentences are confusing or weak the way they're structured.
2) Don't over-use line breaks. They should only be used when there is a scene change. It gets a bit annoying to read when there is a big pause where there shouldn't be.
