A pony going by the name of Roast Pear invites Applejack, Apple Bloom, Big Macintosh, and even Sugar Belle to a Pear family gathering for certain members of the Pear family. While the Apple siblings are happy to learn a little more about their extended family, they aren't really happy about how Grand Pear and Granny Smith are excluded from this gathering because of their "crimes" against Bright Mac and (especially) Pear Butter.

Story-wise, this story has potential. It stays very close to the recent events of the show, proposes a bunch of new characters and also many small mysteries to solve

However, it falls rather short on the grammar side of things. There are recurring issues with formating and punctuation of direct speech and inconsistency in tense use. Also, it can sometimes come off rather flat and tell-y with the overabundance if “is doing”. Don’t panic though, these can be dealt with quite easily. If you wish, I’ll try to help you with them

Honestly not surprised they hate Granny Smith, it takes two to tango, and the feud started between the both of them. Grand Pear and Granny Smith were the first tos tart the fued, and drag every pony into it.

So the fault lies on the both of them, hope that pointed out to them.

Trust me, it will be pointed out. I never just blamed Grand Pear, I blamed Granny Smith too; Granny Smith may have taken Pear Butter in but not only does that not absolve her of anything but also she probably would have done the same with Bright Mac if Grand Pear didn't react first.

Definitely a good story so far, but Roast Pear's conversation with Grand Pear could have had better punctuation. All the periods didn't really capture the emotion of the scene. Otherwise, well done.

Love this story and I'm so looking forward to more of it

I understand Grand Pear wasn’t that good of a father. But Roast Pear isn’t that good of a son either. Or a brother. Granted, I don’t disagree with Roast’s feelings, but I don’t agree with him flat out refusing to accept his father back. His sister found it in her heart to forgive their father, and even gave him multiple chances to come back into her life. And Starkrimson has even forgiven him for his actions. If the apples and pears want to get along, they need to put aside EVERYTHING. Personally, I could care less about this little feud. But they’re keeping it alive by blaming Grand Pear and Granny Smith. Bright Mac and Pear Butter wanted both families to get along, and forgive each other. The way most of the Pears treat Grand Pear and Granny Smith because they hold them responsible for all of this is directly against what they wanted, and disrespectful to them and Applejack, Big Mac, and Apple Bloom, who have forgiven them and accepted them. And Roast won’t do what Pear Butter asked of him simply out of anger and hatred for his father. THAT’S disrespectful, regardless of who it is.

See this is why i don't have kids..... no respect for their superiors.

I know this is a late reply, but I really appreciate this interaction with Sugar Belle and Grand Pear, even with it being a short one.

Is this story still active? It always makes me sad when good stories die on the vine as it were.
